Awww, Heartwarming Punch!
Hamster & Gretel is created by one of the co-creators of Phineas and Ferb and Milo Murphy's Law, so you know it's got moments that will warm your heart.

Season 1

Empower Failure
  • After dealing with Professor Exclamation, Kevin wants to inform Hiromi why he showed up late for the Duck Boyz concert that ended early, without giving away that his sister is a superhero now. What he ends up telling her isn't only technically true, but also surprisingly sweet.
Kevin: Yeah, I'm sorry I was late. I was... I was taking care of my little sister.

Oakey Dokey

  • Gretel and Bailey climbing Oakey and watching the sunset.
Superhero Sibling Rivalry
  • With days of bickering between the two, Kevin finally decides to be Gretel's nemesis... in other words, no longer aid her and Hamster and instead just hang out at the mall like a normal teenager. But when lunching at a food court, it's incredibly obvious that he still wants to help the two as he's constantly checking his phone for news updates. And when Gretel does call in need for help, Kevin immediately rushes into action.

Close Shave

  • Gretel apologizes to Hamster before reluctantly beating him out of Van Dyke’s control. Afterwards, they share a fist bump.
  • Kevin saves Gretel by letting himself be possessed by Van Dyke by Taking the Bullet.
Saturday Homecoming Fever
  • Everyone at the school calls Kevin "Minivan Kid", and judging to how Kevin reacts to it, it's possibly out of mockery. Even Inga, the lunch lady, uses that nickname and even considers him a weakling. At the school dance though, Hiromi, Kevin's crush, just calls him by his actual name, so she at least considers him a friend.
  • Despite everyone else making fun of Kevin with that nickname, when he challenges FistPuncher and The Destructress to a Dance-Off, they immediately root for him. Even Inga roots for "Minivan Kid" to crush the two supervillains like a bear.
    • Kevin valiantly standing up to FistPuncher and The Destructress and teaming up with Hiromi eventually leads to everyone still calling him "Minivan Kid"... except it's now out of respect instead of mockery.

The Nightmarionette

  • In arguably the sweetest example of Chekhov's Gun ever, right when Gretel is once again under the mercy of the titular villain, Kevin grabs his Mr. Grumpypuss puppet and helps his sister overcome her fright just by making her laugh. This manages to help Gretel regain her courage, finally conquer her fear and defeat the villain.

Abuelita's World

  • With Gretel accidentally revealing her superhero self in front of her Abuelita, she and Kevin are afraid that she'll be mad and disappointed in both of them for breaking her rules. However, Abuelita is actually quite forgiving and very proud of them, because even though they broke all her rules, they did it in order to do the right thing.

U.F. UH-OH!

  • After Kevin manages to land the U.F.O. while only barely hitting the dam, he and Gretel get out as Kevin states that driving things that are like the minivan is a superpower in itself. Gretel corrects him, stating that Kevin's superpower is actually being there when she needs him. Aww!

Sleepover with the Enemy

  • Thanks to a floating imaginary Bailey head, Gretel decides to stop fighting Tina and figure out what her deal is. Tina gives in and reveals that she used to have a best friend named Grobla, but the two got separated once Grobla was recruited into a space program, being stuck on a Bolgylvanian space station ever since. Gretel responds to this by bringing the space station back to Earth, reuniting the Bolgylvanian besties.
    • Hamster has buried the hatchet with Gerbil as well, also thanks to a floating imaginary Bailey head.

Hamnesia

  • When Record Scratch launches a truck towards the duo, Hamster Throws Gretel out of the way and takes the hit.
  • Hamster’s painting in Riff Van Wrinkles is a portrait of the Grant Gomezes.
  • After spending the entire episode looking for him, Gretel and Kevin reunite with Hamster.
For Whom the Belle Trolls
  • Bailey gathering all the fans who still love Hamster and Gretel to help discredit Belle once and for all is both heartwarming and awesome, not only giving the villainous influencer her just desserts but also showing the improbable duo that there are people who still look up to them and are willing to help them out. Hamster even smiles.

The Litigator vs. The Luchador

  • Aunt Melissa became a wrestler since that was her dream instead of being a lawyer. She never told anyone in her family though, because she didn't want to disappoint them, especially her older sister Carolina. Despite years of Sibling Rivalry between the two and supposedly being more fancy-pants due to her job as a lawyer, Melissa still looks up to Carolina and her job as a nurse.

My Invisible Friend

  • Even though Gretel was hesitant to reveal her secret identity to Bailey, she still manages to save her from being crushed.
The Bitter Sitter
  • Even when mad, Bailey still goes after FistPuncher to stop him from destroying the Hamster and Gretel People Pops, and she knows full well that he's as strong as they are. She even still declares herself their biggest fan despite spending most of the episode bitter over Gretel keeping her superpowers a secret.

Churro's Day Out

  • When Hamster realizes Churro was trying to return to his owners, both pets decide to join their family in the photo shoot.

The Break-Stuff Club

  • Contrary to their name, the Break-Stuff Club are really nice teens who were going to restore the mural after it was vandalized. Their previous pranks were actually just to protest the budget-cuts to the Art Class.

Finding Professor Ex

  • Gretel feeling bad about launching Nordle's dad/Professor Exclamation despite the fact he was going to mind wipe them. It shows Gretel cares about what happens to some of the villains she fights as well as Nordle.

Exclamation Strikes Back

  • The episode begins with a flashback of a younger Kevin catching Gretel after she falls off a swing and saying he won't let anything bad happen to her.
