I don't know who is in charge of editing this page, as it is locked, but I want to say that you need to change Chris's pronouns to he/him. This is a man who raped his mother. He used his penis to rape his mother, who has advanced dementia. As a woman, I am personally revolted and deeply offended that you would give any amount of respect to this man.

@gaypossum: no, we don't. That wouldn't just be a deserved insult to Chris, it would be an entirely undeserved insult to every other trans person, who are largely not incestuous rapists, or even rapists at all.

If that's the point and you're arguing this as part of a personal axe to grind against trans people, then fuck off from this website entirely.

Agreed that this is not something that should be done per reasons given. Please do not make this a discussion about the person, though.

While I do understand the policy of separating the art from the artist, it's damn near impossible for an average person to talk about the comic without talking about Christine in the process.

I feel that if the spouse of Onision who is also a child-groomer gets the rights to pronouns, so does Chris, as screwed up the context behind her transition is. With her recent actions, Christine may have forfeited the right not to be mocked on this wiki. It's the same thing I saw with John K. If you want to talk about Sonichu, you can't ignore Christine's actions that the comic ties into.

I personally think the pronoun change should be enough. While I understand that people may not like to deadname others, the amount of people who associate CWC as the Love Quest rage-video man or feel nostalgic towards that version is too large, they're effectively two different people with two different fandoms by this point. The CWCki, possibly the biggest compendium on CWC, uses exclusively male pronouns. Really, changing pronouns pretty much everywhere but keeping the few mentions that person used to be a man should be a reasonable compromise.

Removed a link to which is considered a troll forum by some. I think I could have worded this better, plus there's one argument I have not thought about - CWC has actually been a character in the comic and was male in the first few chapters. Not mentioning that she used to be male may be confusing. Otherwise, this is not intended to lead to discussion about the person.

This reasoning is explicitly transphobic and misgendering. The deadname isn't necessary.

Just so it's clear, the Creator Page Guidelines page now states "If a creator was active under their previous identity, it's acceptable to mention this openly ONCE at the top of the creator page, e.g "Elliot Page (formerly credited as Ellen Page; born February 21, 1987)". Admittedly Christine herself does not (and won't) have a creator page, but it is allowed on work page and was clearly active under previous identity (Issues 0-10 and part of 11 as far as I remember). Also I agree that the previous reasoning does sound transphobic and the CWCki does now acknowledge if someone uses a different identity, including Christine, and she did make voiceclips for a mod that lets you play as her previous identity in Sonic World) so she can acknowledge it for what it's worth.

I think that's only going to be a magnet for trouble that will inevitably get locked when things get too personal.

He did at one point, but it's gone. It used to be on the Cwcki, but they got rid of it too. I can't find it anywhere, so it seems to be lost to the ages, unfortunately.

The page quickly devolved into a series of attacks against the creator and troping her personal life, neither of which are in-line with TV Tropes policy.

Furthermore, the Creator pages are reserved for people with multiple works, and Sonichu is really the only actual work that Chris is known for. Everything else is tied to her shenanigans with videos and other online interactions, which, again, doesn't fly. I think there are some Sonichu-related entries in that iteration of the page that can and should be reinstated, but locking and cutting most of the content from the page was the right call.

I concur, I mean she's got a Twitter account that pretty much states she's trans.

I think you might need to message a mod directly - edits are so few and far between that I doubt anyone is paying attention to this talk page anymore.

Chris revealed at some point that the characters are supposed to Animated Actors. If that still counts, I don't know.

Well, the ads that Chris-chan did earlier are Actually Pretty Funny, like the ad for Axe. Fortunately, most of them are at the end of the individual issue, so you don't have to slog through the rest. If you do want to go through the rest, I recommend watching the End of Evangelion first, to set the mood. It's a very heartwarming show.

To avoid the negativity to spill out on the remaining wiki

Septimus Heap: Just having that disclaimer on the page says as much about the work as a hundred bile-filled entries, just more obliquely.

Also, there should be an Uncanny Valley entry for how some of the characters look, namely the Sonees/Rosees and Simonla Rosechu's infamous stare.

Streisand Effect needs mentioned

How come there isn't a trope page for Chris-Chan himself?Considering his internet infamy,I'd expect there to be.Is it because of the same reason that this page was locked?I hope not

The page would be a swarm of fan hate. We strive for neutrality, and putting a trope page for Chris would fill the wiki with hate.

There was one of Chris Chan. It got deleted because of all the negativity.

Though it's a shame since a lot of tropes apply to Chris-Chan, I'd have to agree that it would rile up everybody.

I wonder if the CW Cki guys could take over the development of that page (they've already imported the data, why not just host all the hate there?).

This ties into a minor issue I have with the direction the wiki seems to be headed. Why not just create some pages like one for CWC, slap a disclaimer on them, and let editors/trolls run amok?

Poor comparison. A library or bookstore would have to make physical space for, it whereas we don't, we can just put up a page. There could be valid counterarguments, but that's not one.

It's not about space. It's about what this site is for. The site is not for whining and complaining any more than a library is.

Granted, TV Tropes has a section about bashing things, but it's stuck off to the side and there's a fair amount of the userbase who think it should just be axed anyway.

My argument is simply than Chris-Chan has shown himself, many times, to be unworthy of respect. To go to the Twilight example, Stephanie Meyer hasn't done anything near the levels of despicability(my spell check doesn't think that's a word) that Chris-Chan has.

I've just realize that there now IS a link to the comic, so big thanks to whoever put it up! Finding the damned thing could prove surprisingly difficult even via google.

Considering that even when this page was a lot more negative that Chris never ever mentioned it, I seriously doubt he has heard of TV Tropes. Bearing in mind what might be in store for him in the near future, it's highly unlikely we ever will see him on here.

Okay, member of the CW Cki here with answers.

For those who don't know, a little over a month after the death of his father in September 2011, Chris and his mother went to a game/hobby store he had been banned from in 2008 (for the usual stuff, like making a massive ruckus and screaming at children). He claimed that because the store had apparently changed owners and names, it was under new management and he would be welcomed back in. Lo and behold, the manager who banned him (who he had nearly run over in 2010) was now the owner.

Obviously he got kicked out, but made another fuss. Screaming, taking pictures of the store and the owner, all that stuff. The owner (Michael Snyder) called the cops and followed him and his mother out to their vehicle to watch them; he had called the police on them before, but they either fled or were only given a warning. In their effort to escape, Chris and his mother hit Snyder and severely injured his knee. The police arrived and the pair were arrested after a short scuffle.

Both Chris and his mother are set to appear in front of a circuit court judge in July; the misdemeanors have been deemed nollo prosequi (meaning that they won't be charged with them at the moment, but can still have it brought against them before the statute of limitations runs out), in favor of focusing on felonies. Both are on trial for the hit-and-run, while his mother also faces felony assault on a law enforcement officer.

I approve of this proposal.

Most of the 'fanfics' are this. People are fascinated by his unintentional Crapsaccharine World and love to deconstruct it. In fact many trolls created such things and showed them to Chris to get lulz out of him. A Girl Who Brought Down The World is another example, apparently in this case to try and make him realise how wrong-headed his thinking is.

Could I have a list?And are there any versions that violate No Celebrities Were Harmed (because frankly,no-one would care if Chris-Chan was mentioned,name and all.)

If I were to write one,I'd make it where CW Cville is an Eldritch Abomination,the living embodiment of Chris-Chan's mind.It would be a Multiversal Conqueror that plans to give Chris his Wish Fufillment-being a literal god-mode sue.It starts by merging the Pokemon and Sonic universes into itself,and there's a bunch of rebels trying to fight off the Mind Rape

I put it back up. I'm sorry, I'm not trying to bash him or anything. It's just that I felt he had works which qualified for the trope. There's others that haven't been accounted for, I'm not trying to portray he himself as incapable of producing anything with qualities remotely intrinsic to goodness or anything, it's just that I believe them to be suitable for that application.

I would say just as planned if I had intentionally subdued any major form of criticism twoards the comic. But I guess that Fast Eddie doesn't like the use of subjectivity in that trope, so he removed it. A shame, since there was a nice mixture of good and bad in that part. Eh...

• Medical program for finding "gay vaccine" and subsequent distribution of it into water supply
• Dating Education
• Something else I've missed

Yep, that whole thing is pretty much just pulled out of his ass. Ways he fails science:

• There are positive results in the search for a homosexual gene dating back to at least the late nineties (at least for other animals). It's not as though it's still some giant mystery to be unraveled.
• Genes consist of a lot more than a single molecule. Even if one interprets his statement to just refer to the DNA/RNA molecule differentiating the dominant/recessive, the most simplistic genes need a variation of at least a couple molecules to express a different trait. With homosexuality being a major realignment of one's instincts and brain chemistry (along with the fact that practically every bit of sex research shows most people to be rather ambiguous and simply just favor one side of the equation over the other... or neither), it's almost certainly controlled by dozens (if not hundreds) of genes.
• Scientific research does not work nearly fast enough to synthesize a viable vaccine from brand new material in a week. Most certainly, creating enough of the vaccine to spread in the entire world's water supply would take far, far, far longer than a month (try... 50 years minimum provided they have unlimited resources and nothing unforeseen happens). Also, vaccines cannot be made waterbourne (they're specifically based around a precise measurement).
• Vaccine is the wrong word for what he's proposing. Vaccines prevent infection, but do nothing if one is already infected. The word he's looking for is probably "antibody". This is far from a misconception limited to dopes, however; movies and video games (such as the Syphon Filter series) make this mistake all the time.
• Genes cannot be modified by any pharmaceutical. Even genetic engineering is a minimum of a hundred years away from achieving a full reform of a person's structure. (Die Another Day makes this mistake as well, so again, not limited to dopes.)
  • Even if one changed a person's genetic make-up to remove all "homosexual genes", there's still the fact that those past puberty will still be imprinted with a preference for their same gender. Body chemistry (i.e. hormones) is just as important to biology as genetics. Or, another way to think of it: somebody wants to add a water slide to an apartment building. Would they get very far if they just walked into the public records building and drew a water slide on the official blueprints?
• All-caps Comic Sans (or Comic Sans knockoff, I think) makes my eyes hurt.

Chris included a line in Sonichu #2 that goes; "But during the stone age...". And that's it. There wasn't even a punchline until he narrated the panel in the Sonichu 2 Official Videobook as "You don't have to tell ME twice! Return to stone age? Boy you really need to tell those cavemen twice." Would that count as Word of God?

• Found another one. Apparently, Alec did not rape those Rosechus. They were just being kept as hampsters. Also a case of Real Life Writes the Plot, as it was added literally at the last minute due to the real Alec complaining about the insinuation.

I have no idea what that means exactly, or how this bodes for the future of this article and TV Tropes as a whole. I'll just assume for now it means "Needs a few things fixed up before I give it the okay." Just gonna throw it out there to inform you guys, to see if someone wants to clarify what exactly he meant, or if they have any thoughts at all on this.

I dunno. He said that it was obvious, but I still don't know what he means exactly by that. I'm operating under the premise that he wants information of the IRL CWC gone. So, I'm trying my best to accommodate that.

It's completely fine that you removed the pothole to Incredibly Lame Pun on the grounds Chris never gave an official statement about it, though.

Aside from keeping in mind the whole "Treat IRL Chris as He Who Must Not Be Named" thing going on, I cannot think of any particular bits. For now, if there's a trope you want to add, or a current example you think is delving too deeply into Chris's life, or trying to outright insult Chris for no valid reason, then let me know and I'll discuss/fix it.

Apparently, any mention of the Real Life CWC is far too charged a topic for this place. Sad, I know, but I'm not gonna whine about it. The best I figured I can do so far is talk about Christian Weston Chandler the comic book character. Things like Life Embellished and Real Life Writes the Plot do kinda get the point across of what exactly drives the story. Aside from one single link to the CW Cki, I dunno if we can mention the real life CWC any further than I already have.
