  • she's a sympathetic woobie that was deceived -> she's a sympathetic woobie who was deceived
  • even if it may be wrong -> (even if it may be wrong),

One camp believes that she's a sympathetic woobie who was deceived by Vishkar and is an autistic Noble Top Enforcer trying to do what she believes to be good (even if it may be wrong), because it's the only way she knows, and is known to subvert some of Vishkar's extremist commands to minimize casualties when able, considering her a very compelling character.

When a sentence is that long, it's very likely that you've tried to cram too much into it and it should be split into smaller sentences. to make it easier to read.

One camp believes that she's a sympathetic woobie who was deceived by Vishkar and is an autistic Noble Top Enforcer trying to do what she believes to be good (even if it may be wrong), because it's the only way she knows. She is known to subvert some of Vishkar's extremist commands to minimize casualties when able, considering her a very compelling character.

  • , considered an evil hypocritical Mega Corp., -> (considered an evil hypocritical Mega Corp.),
  • and continuing to promote -> continuing to promote
  • serve their interest -> serve its interests
  • due to the autism -> due to her autism
  • she's considered an unlikable fascist no -> she's considered an unlikable fascist, no
  • which she called 'anarchy'. -> (which she called 'anarchy').

Because of her association with Vishkar (considered an evil hypocritical Mega Corp.), continuing to promote Vishkar or serve its interests, combined with a smug attitude (due to her autism) and antagonizing a good freedom fighter like Lucio, she's considered an unlikable fascist, no different than any other corrupt Vishkar employees who is against simple freedom (which she called 'anarchy').

This sentence has the same problem as the one above, but it needs more of a re-write.

She associates with Vishkar (considered an evil hypocritical Mega Corp.), continues to promote Vishkar or serve its interests, has a smug attitude (due to her autism) and antagonizes a good freedom fighter like Lucio. This causes her to be considered an unlikable fascist, no different than any other corrupt Vishkar employees who is against simple freedom (which she called 'anarchy').

[up][up] thank you. Okay here it is a second time, any more errors?

  • Merlin (2008): Inverted. Originally, the series had a quite complicated morality. Arthur and Merlin are certainly good people (as is Guinevere), however both of them are forced to support the ruthless, paranoid, nigh-genocidal King Uther. While he is stable and competent ruler, he firmly believes all magic is evil to the point he’s had people executed for simply renting a sorcerer a room for the night, has drowned children for having magical parents and would have executed Merlin if he ever learned the truth. Arthur does so out of love of his father, while Merlin does out of loyalty to Arthur and the words of the dragon (who also hates Uther) that he’ll be the king they all need. Arthur himself starts off seemingly quite arrogant and firmly believing in his father’s paranoia. The antagonists are more often than not people Uther has wronged in the past, or would execute just for existing, to the point many border on Designated Villain. It’s only due to the extremity of their methods (many wanting to destroy all of Camelot rather than just the king) that they need to be stopped. Morgana likewise starts off as a caring sympathetic person, who has quite a strong Freudian Excuse and even when she sides with Morgause it originally seems hard to call it a Face–Heel Turn. Cracks in this started to appear, however, as it became clear Morgause was not as benevolent or good intentioned as her first appearances suggested. Likewise, her influence on Morgana proved to be profoundly toxic, while Arthur outgrew the majority of his arrogance all the while revealing a deep sympathy for oppressed. By Season Four and Five the series morality became a lot more black and white, as following Uther’s death Arthur proves truly becomes The Good King who brings peace, stability, justice and a lot more social mobility to Camelot. Not to mention recruiting the Knights of the Round Table. Meanwhile, Morgana takes multiple levels of jerkass and goes through a massive amount of Motive Decay. Initially, she only wants to rule to end the oppression, by the end she is the oppressor who is blatantly only after personal power, happily leading not one but two separate ruthless hordes of barbarians, who live by Rape, Pillage, and Burn, to invade Camelot. By the end of the series she's just as deluded and paranoid as Uther but proves to be an even worse tyrant than him. This is arguably the whole point of the series; Merlin needed to ensure Arthur would become king as that was the only way things would get better.

@3277 The line "heavily based off samurai armor." was already in the page and it's not written by myself, I only copied it to here and added more info about it. Other than that, I'll be more cautious on example indentation next time.

Anyway, I have more proofreading requests:

For Lotus Position:

  • In Dark Souls III, the Path of the Dragon gesture has the player sitting in the Lotus Position. Using the gesture next to the Dragon Discipline in Irithyll Dungeon will teleport the player to the Archdragon Peak. Within the Peak, there are two different shrines in which using the gesture in front of them will grant the player the Calamity Ring and the Twinkling Dragon Torso Stone respectively.

For Pile Bunker (at Toys section):

  • Frame Arms Girl Architect comes with a pair of spring-loaded Pile Bunkers, and the magazine at the top acts as the trigger for them.

For Zettai Ryouiki (at Toys section):

  • Frame Arms Girl series combines this with the girls' thigh joints, allowing them to position their legs and balance themselves. It's also Grade B.

For Trauma Conga Line (at my own Troper page):

  • He caught cold during his edit suspension in late December 2016, then it went worse at the next month and became tracheitis. By the time when his edit suspension was lifted in mid January, he's on the verge of academic failure and had lost his willingness to trust himself.

Another minor question, how many perfect drafts (without any mistake) should I propose to ensure that I'm eligible to edit again? Should I settle it down as around 3000 drafts?

Hi, can you check please the grammar here? is for a future Useful Notes about the Theosophical Society:

The Theosophical Society is an Esotericist and Occult international organization founded in New York on a 17 November, 1875 by intellectuals and aristocrats like Ukranian Mystic Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, American former Military and Buddhist Henry Steel Olcott, Catholic Bishop C.w. Leadbeater, English suffragist Annie Besant and William Judge. The Society’s motto is:

1. To form a nucleus of the universal brotherhood of humanity without distinction of race, creed, sex, caste, or colour.
2. To encourage the study of comparative religion, philosophy, and science.
3. To investigate the unexplained laws of nature and the powers latent in man.
The organization quickly moves its headquarters to Adyar, India, then part of the British Empire, where they are still located [for what is considered by most people the “original” Society]. The organization suffered a lot of schisms throughout its history, though most of the splinters did not attain the same weight or international reach as the ST-Adyar. Some tropes associated with the Theosophical Society are:
  • All Myths Are True: Not literally, but many of Blavatsky’s works imply that most legends, myths and creatures have an origin in Esoteric truths. Also that all religions have part of true in themselves.
  • Another Dimension: the Seven Planes.
  • Astral Plane: an important part of Theosophic Cosmology.
  • Astral Projection: this is even the explanation on how Blavatsky was able to consult gigantic amounts of ancient books and scriptures in order to write her owns.
  • Atlantis: said to be the civilization that predated the modern humanity.
  • Black Magic vs White Magic: Blavatsky was a strong believer in the Black vs White magic dichotomy.
  • Great Big Book of Everything: The Secret Doctrine. Literally, a book of thousands of pages and several volumes explaining the history of the universe.
  • Hitler Ate Sugar: a common misconception is that the Theosophical Society had links with Nazism or had influence over Nazi Occultism, even when this was the Thule Society, and although some concepts of both organizations might be similar, in some other regards they are entirely conflicting. The Theosophical Society was also one of the many organizations that were outlawed once Hitler came to power.
    • Another case is the use of the word Aryan, which in the case of the Theosophical doctrine is not a racial term, is a spiritual term and apply to modern humanity.
  • Hollow World: the Theosophists originally believe in the now debunked Hollow Earth theory. Most modern Theosophists no longer do, except the more Orthodox.
  • Our Ghosts Are Different: According to the Theosophists, the ghost that we see in some Haunted House s are actually people in their astral bodies. When someone dies their conscious passes from the physical body to the astral body and remains there for a while (how long, depends on the person’s inability to accept dead or attachment to the physical world, but it can take centuries in some cases), then passes to the etheric body and so on until it went for all the seven bodies, then move on to the next life.
  • Our Giants Are Different: Lemurians were giants, according to the Secret Doctrine.
  • Our Vampires Are Different: According to Blavatsky, Dark Wizards in Astral form can drink the blood of the livings and thus retain their connection to the physical world after death indefinitely.

OK. Let me see how it goes now:

  • Base-Breaking Character
    • Symmetra's position in the lore makes her into an example of this. One camp believes that she's a sympathetic woobie who was deceived by Vishkar and is an autistic Noble Top Enforcer trying to do what she believes to be good even if it may be wrong because it's the only way she knows. She also tends to subvert some of Vishkar's extremist commands to minimize casualties when able, thus the camp sees her as a very compelling character. Another camp believes otherwise: Because of her association with Vishkar (considered an evil hypocritical MegaCorp), continuing to promote Vishkar or serve its interest, combined with a smug attitude (due to her autism) and antagonizing a good freedom fighter like Lucio, she's considered an unlikable fascist, no different than any other corrupt Vishkar employees who is against simple freedom (which she called 'anarchy'). Both camps also tend to use both Draco in Leather Pants and Ron the Death Eater on her, making it hard to find a middle ground on her.

I don't quite get what you fully meant as 'rewrite', so I'm not sure if these long-ass explanation would've suffice for that. So for convenience's sake, I'm writing a compact, TL;DR version. Please tell me which one would be better to be put on page later:

  • Symmetra's position in the lore makes her into an example of this. One camp considers her a sympathetic woobie who was deceived by Vishkar since childhood and a compelling Noble Top Enforcer with autism problem. Another camp believes that merely serving Vishkar (considered an evil hypocritical MegaCorp) and going along with their ideals combined with a smug attitude makes her one-dimensional, unsympathetic and annoying. Since she can be given both Draco in Leather Pants and Ron the Death Eater treatments, it's hard to find a middle ground for her.

What do you think?

I'm kinda afraid of adding a brand new another example for Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans since that experience. So I'm just going to play it safe this time around.

  • Taking the Bullet: Ride attempts to protect a farming complex from a beam fired by Hashmal. While he survives thanks to nanolaminate armor reducing the damage done by it, his mobile suit fails to block the beam attack completely and everyone in the farming complex is killed by that devastating blast anyways.

For Blood Knight. Video Games under Civilization

Civilization

  • In Civ V, India is surprisingly Blood Knight-like as it is more nuke happy than even the Aztecs.

For The Lad-ette under PantyAndStockingWithGarterbelt "Her lady-like look may be deceiving. She also has been seen picking her nose more than once in the series. Panty has also slept with a lot of guys"

Lost in Space

Both of those seem like they lack sufficient information to establish context.

Blood Knight is a character who lives for combat and ignores morality in pursuit of ever stronger opponents to fight. Being "nuke happy" is not the same thing as being a perpetual warmonger.

The Lad-ette is a female character who's "one of the guys" — she swears, burps, drinks, has casual sex, and generally rejects traditional female social roles. It needs to be a defining aspect of the character, and most character development arcs will attempt to wean them off of that behavior and towards a more feminine role. Sounds like Panty could count but the example should make these aspects clearer.

Grammatically, I might write the sentences differently, but the only thing I would actually correct is an overuse of "also".

Hello guys. I noticed some webcomics are posted on Tapastic, and I want to help the authors of the webcomics I like with the indexing.

So, this is my first try at info for Tapastic;

"TAPASTIC

The Youtube of webcomics, or that's what Tapastic creator would like you to believe. Tapastic is a popular hosting site for webcomic authors, set up by south korean entrepreneur Chang Kim in 2012. In it, authors can host their own webcomics for free."

Is pretty basic, and I'll admit is similar to the info hosted by wikipedia. What do you think of this info, and what can I fix?

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.

I'm now working on a proposal to fix the folders at Real Vs Fictional, and yet I have no idea where to submit my proposal (whether it should be submitted in Ask The Tropers page or the trope's discussion page), nor the details on personal name arrangements.

Anyway, I have yet another proofreading request, and this one is quite a mess.

NamesTheSame Page Folder Fix Proposal:

During late November, I was working on adding folders for each page for easier management. However, I messed it up in the NamesTheSame/RealVsFictional page by wrongfully arranging personal names by their first names (instead of last names as it's supposed to be).

Since I had several edit suspension records note , I'm currently illegible to continue editing by myself and I need a few helps on adding folders and arranging the name.

  • 1. On folder listing, should I arrange it as 6 alphabets per folder (A-F, G-L, etc.) or each alphabet has its own folder (e.g. A, b, C, etc.)?
  • 2. On personal name sorting, when it comes to Japanese personal names, should they follow the rule in which names are ordered by last names? Should I place the surname or the first name at the front? note

Anyway, I've made quite a mess there and I wish I can undo my mistakes. I'd appreciate If I can receive a few tips or helps on re-arranging personal names and folders there.

Thanks

I'm going to add an entry for Unfortunate Implications on the Advertisement section:

  • WatchMojo.com once made a video titled Top 10 Funny Banned Commercials, which lists 10 videos, and some honorable mentions. Some reasons why those commercials are banned include: intentional removal of clothes means you get beer, wear condoms to prevent the responsibility of taking care a child, and offensive innuendos. It's pretty clear those words are not something everyone can enjoy about without getting offended.
