[up] That's because I tried to cite the commentary as found here, AVGN questioned how Mario got inside the bag when it's facing upward, whether there's a hole at the bottom of the bag. The whole thing can be simplified as: "In the opening of the NES version of Mario Is Missing!, Mario is kidnapped by a Koopaling using a sack." without the commentary.

It feels like the more I try to ask, the more I'll doubt myself if I can actually write something perfect. Somehow, I found myself making more grammatical mistakes than before. I'm not gonna become a legitimate Troper again I suppose? Is it time for me to give it up for good?

Another edit request for Handy Remote Control page at Anime section:

  • The Dictator Switch from Doraemon is a gadget which makes any person, animal or object disappear without leaving any trace behind by simply pressing the button. No one would remember the person who was erased existed, except for those who witnessed their disappearance, such as the one who pressed the button. It is typically used by dictators to erase whoever opposed them. Nobita at one point received this gadget from Doraemon because he wished Gian had never existed. He then used the switch to get rid of Gian, and eventually, erasing everyone from existence because he dreamed of everyone mocked him, including Shizuka and Doraemon. As it turns out, it is a tool for teaching An Aesop about interpersonal relationship rather than being an actual weapon for dictators. Doraemon then reappears and undoes the disappearance by pressing the switch again.

[down] Sometimes, I tried to paraphrase the info from Wikia for reference, thinking that they might be more accurate than my wordings. It turns out they might not be as grammatically perfect as I might think. Maybe I should double-check them further.

Yet another proofread requests:

An entry for The Merch page:

  • Danball Senki has the LBX model kits released by Bandai (of Gundam fame). They are all in 1:1 scale thanks to being tiny robots to begin with, complete with fully interchangeable parts for customization, weapon expansion packs and the cardboard arena diorama seen in both the game and the anime. There's also the Riding Saucer, a remote-controlled LBX support unit compatible with the model kits.

Another entry for BFG page:

  • Danball Senki:
    • The AMB Rifle is a high caliber single-shot rifle with a huge barrel comparable to a flak gun. It is typically wielded by Deqoo Recon Type for ranged combat.
    • The Executioner is a sniper rifle with a thick barrel and receiver, it is wielded by Assassin for long ranged assassination.
    • The Hunter Rifle also qualifies, it is a large anti-material rifle taller than the LBX wielding it.

I feel like adding a new example for the main page for Sanrio. However I don't know if this example could fit between the Breakout Character or SpinOff category.

  • My Melody's best friend Piano, started out as a supporting character of the series and the 2005 anime Onegai My Melody. Starting in 2014, Sanrio decided to give more focus to Piano and was even given a nickname "My Sweet Piano" complete with her own set of merchandise. This resulted in Piano appearing more frequently and was prominent when Sanrio celebrated the 40th Anniversary of My Melody in 2016.

You could have add a comma after the word "scale" instead, but I prefer parentheses because it makes it clearer that the section is separate.

More proofreading requests, I started to feel like an annoyance.

For Pre-Order Bonus

  • Dark Souls
    • Preordering Dark Souls II would give you a DLC which provides an early access to several weapons. Prior to the game's release, fans speculated the weapons were exclusive for those who preordered the game. As it turns out, the weapons are available late-game as they are sold by Chancellor Wellager in Drangleic Castle. Players who preordered the game can obtain them right from the beginning for each character and they can purchase duplicates of the weapons and dual wield them without having to enter New Game Plus.
    • Preordering Dark Souls III would give you an exclusive dynamic theme, a handkerchief with the map of Lothric printed on it, and a digital soundtrack.
  • Preordering Soul Calibur V provides an early access to Dampierre (of Broken Destiny fame), who's later on available as Xbox 360 DLC. For PS 3 otherwise, preordering is the only way to get him.

[down][down][down] I was using present tense because I was trying too hard to follow the format in the trope page (which I should've used past tense regardless) since several of them have used present tense regardless whether the games were released. Thanks for your clarification. Maybe I should trust myself earlier.

I think this should work for the Breakout Character example for the Creator/Sanrio page. If not then it could work for the Spin-Off example. I'm not sure which of these would fit the above.

Maybe I got a YMMV entry for Pixels:

  • One-Scene Wonder: Probably Enforced but Averted. While Mario's 3 second cameo might be done as a Take That! towards Wreck It Ralph for not having Mario and seems to be done so he can be the best thing in the movie, but his appearance is forgettable at worst and just the same as the other cameos in the movie at best.

[up][up][up] @Mhazard

Since these games have already been released, it is no longer possible to pre-order them and some references to doing so should be in the past tense.

  • which provides an early access -> which provided an early access
  • the weapons were exclusive for those -> the weapons were exclusively for those
  • As it turns out -> As it turned out

  • provides an early access to Dampierre -> provided an early access to Dampierre

According to the Averted Trope page, aversions should only added as an trope example if the trope is one of the Omnipresent Tropes or designated as "aversions only".

As far as I can tell One-Scene Wonder is neither of those, so the example should not be added for that reason.

As for the English part:

  • might be done -> might have been done
  • seems to be done -> seems to have been done
  • movie, but his appearance is forgettable at worst and just the same as the other cameos in the movie at best. ->
    • movie, his appearance is the same as the other cameos in the movie at best and forgettable at worst.

The "best" coming before "worst" is just the way it's commonly stated in English.

Starting in 2014, Sanrio decided to give more focus to her and she was even given the nickname "My Sweet Piano", complete with her own set of merchandise. This resulted in Piano appearing more frequently and was prominent during My Melody's 40th Anniversary celebrated by the company.

I'm going to add an entry for the Tier Induced Scrappy page on the Low Tiers page:

    Puzzle Games
  • In Meteos, there are planets that are loathsome to play as.
    • Arod isn't a very popular choice. This is because of its slow gravity and unlike Brabbit, doesn't have a great attacking power. It's only redeeming feature of the planet is that it brushes off stacks easily and it's Gambit Planet Impact deals a lot of damage, especially to an opponent who suddenly makes a mistake, but that takes a lot of patience to do so.
    • Hanihula contends with Arod for being the worst planet to play as. It has 7 columns, which makes the planet easy to fill up, and weak launches. To add salt towards the weak launches, it takes a while to get the launches to get off the planet and a well-placed Tempest Planet Impact to mess up the chaining strategy the planet uses. The only redeeming quality of the planet is the high scoring system that can definitely make the planet win by time-out, but that is often overlooked by players.

I want to add the following to If the Emperor Had a Text-to-Speech Device:

  • Foil: Magnus to Leman. Whereas Leman is a Boisterous Bruiser who calls a Guardsman a nerd for having read about the Warp in a book, Magnus dedicated his life to accumulating knowledge and is almost always calm. Magnus' fault was going against his father's (admiteadly somewhat vague) warning about the Warp, Leman's was not questionning an order to kill Magnus he had recieved. Magnus, a sorcerer drawing his powers from the Warp, had been brought back from it by force while Leman, who hate sorcery, has been stuck here for 10 000 years and, as of episode 24, is trying to find a way out. Finally, pressing their Berserk Button (each other) weild vastly different result: Magnus Hulk Out and becomes The Berserker, Leman instantly becomes serious and in full Tranquil Fury mode.

For Watching the Sunset:

  • Invoked in Rogue One, Jyn Erso and Cassian Andor sit down at the shore of Scarif after transmitting the Death Star plan to the Rebel fleet, watching the setting sun as the glow on the horizon covers everything in front of them. It's actually the explosion caused by the Death Star Superlaser, and they know their deaths are unavoidable.

[down][down]Somehow, I still failed to notice these kinds of tiny mistakes. And to think of the goal of proposing at least 3000 perfect proofreading requests without making a single mistake... I'm too far from that.

Okay I have this (unfortunately quite long) one for Graying Morality.

  • Merlin (2008): Inverted. Originally the series had a quite complicated morality. Arthur and Merlin are certainly good people (as was Guinevere), however both of them are forced to support the ruthless paranoid nigh-genocidal King Uther. Who while a stable and competent ruler, firmly believes all magic is evil to the point he’s had people executed for simply renting a sorcerer a room for the night, has drowned children for having magical parents and would have executed Merlin if he ever learned the truth. Arthur does so out love of his father, while Merlin does out of loyalty to Arthur and the words of the dragon (who also hates Uther) that he’ll be the king they all need. Arthur himself starts off seemingly quite arrogant and firmly believing in his father’s paranoia. The antagonists are more often than not people Uther has wronged in the past, or would execute just for existing, to the point many border on Designated Villain. It’s only down to the extremeness of their methods (many wanting to destroy all of Camelot rather than just the king) that they need to be stopped. Morgana likewise starts off as a caring sympathetic person, who has quite a strong Freudian Excuse and even when she sides with Morgause it originally seems hard to call it a Face–Heel Turn. Cracks in this started to appear however as it became clear Morgause was not as benevolent or good intentioned as her first appearances suggested. Likewise her influence on Morgana proved to be profoundly toxic, while Arthur outgrew the majority of his arrogance all the while revealing a deep sympathy for oppressed. By Season Four and Five the series morality became a lot more black and white, as following Uther’s death Arthur proves truly becomes The Good King who brings peace, stability, justice and a lot more social mobility to Camelot. Not to mention recruiting the Knights of the Round Table . Meanwhile Morgana takes multiple levels of jerkass and goes through a massive amount of Motive Decay. Initially she only wants to rule to end the oppression, by the end she is the oppressor who is blatantly only after personal power, happily leading not one but two separate ruthless hordes of barbarians, who live by Rape, Pillage, and Burn, to invade Camelot. By the end of the series she's just as deluded and paranoid as Uther but proves to be an even worse tyrant than him This is arguably the whole point of the series; Merlin needed to ensure Arthur would become king as that was the only way things would get better.

And even more proofreading requests (I'd skip this line next time, it's becoming redundant considering I'd have 2999 more proposals left if I somehow managed to write a perfect draft for the first time).

For Everything's Better with Samurai:

Films — Live-Action

  • Star Wars: Darth Vader's character design was heavily based off samurai armor.
    • Bandai took one step further and released the Tamashii Nations Movie Realization figure line, in which Darth Vader was converted into a literal samurai. There're also Ashigaru Stormtroopers and Ronin Boba Fett.

Toys

  • Bandai released the Tamashii Nations Movie Realization figure line which portrays movie characters in a feudal Japan aesthetic. It begins with Star Wars characters such as Boba Fett, Darth Vader and the Stormtroopers. Later on, the line extends to comic book characters such as Spider Man.

I changed my mind about the Ron the Death Eater thing and decided that it might be best to instead use Base-Breaking Character on Symmetra, since 'being able to be written as DILP on one side and RTDE on another side' sounded like Base-Breaking Character, and based on Ask The Tropers, the two tropes may see a sweeping change. All right, here we go:

  • Base-Breaking Character
    • Symmetra's position in the lore makes her into an example of this. One camp believes that she's a sympathetic woobie that was deceived by Vishkar and is an autistic Noble Top Enforcer trying to do what she believes to be good even if it may be wrong because it's the only way she knows, and is known to subvert some of Vishkar's extremist commands to minimize casualties when able, considering her a very compelling character. Another camp believes otherwise: Because of her association with Vishkar, considered an evil hypocritical MegaCorp, and continuing to promote Vishkar or serve their interest, combined with a smug attitude (due to the autism) and antagonizing a good freedom fighter like Lucio, she's considered an unlikable fascist no different than any other corrupt Vishkar employees who is against simple freedom which she called 'anarchy'. Both camps also tend to use both Draco in Leather Pants and Ron the Death Eater on her, making it hard to find a middle ground on her.

This might be a little too long. How do we shorten this one, combined with grammar fixes? Thanks.
