WMG / Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl

Go To

Series and characters to be represented in either the base game or possible DLC
Obviously not every single pick here will be in the game. These are all based on speculation, ranging from popular choices to unexpected, more obscure surprises. Feel free to add your pick.

All live-action entries are now jossed (at least, for the base roster) by Word of God.

Possible final bosses for the game's arcade mode (provided it has one)
  • The Silver Ball, the logo used by Nickelodeon from 1981-1984. In the same vein as Polygon Man, this game's arcade mode could feature a battle against an old piece of company history. To make up for its simplistic appearance, it would have a bombastic personality while devouring the scenery, and utilize lesser-known Nickelodeon properties in its attacks.
  • Olmec. Olmec's role as final boss is not villainous, but rather testing the player character's strength via combat with himself, and he congratulates the player upon defeating him. May or may not engage in standard Nintendo Final Bossâ„¢ design.
  • Any one or more of Plankton, Professor Calamitous, Vlad Plasmius, Denzel Crocker, Queen Vexus, Sartana of the Dead, Firelord Ozai, Vaatu, The Shredder, Krang, and The Almighty Tallest (the last one as a Dual Boss). All the listed characters are Nickelodeon villains of note. The former four have also had multiple crossover appearances in the Nicktoons Unite! games.
  • The Mawgu. An Original Generation villain from Battle for Volcano Island, who already tried to pull a multiversal assimilation plot and would be making good on his promise that We Will Meet Again by returning in this game.
  • George Lopez. This is a crack guess, but it would be amusing and shocking to see an early-90s digitized version of George Lopez as the final opponent of an arcade mode.
  • Face, the original "host" from Nick Jr, who's either come back and isn't very happy about being thrown to the wayside for so many years, or is fighting them just for fun like Olmec.
    • An alternate interpretation would be him being upset about being replaced by a newer counterpart, and he, out of pure revenge, decides to fight you personally.
  • An Original Generation Big Bad who would be very comparable to Kronika.
  • Hodgepodge. Because who better to be the final boss of a giant mashup game than a giant mashup man?
  • Shirley from the third Jimmy Timmy Power Hour. What better villain for a crossover then a villain from a prestigious crossover.
  • Geraldine Laybourne, the Real Life president of Nick from 1984 to 1996, and the person who helped bring Nickelodeon as we know it to the juggernaut of today. Would make for an interesting thing, especially if she could summon and control other Nickelodeon characters.
  • Pariah Dark and/or Lord Drakkon. If this game has a Subspace Emissary-esque story mode, then these two could easily make for Big Bad material. Both come from alternate dimensions/universes (the Ghost Zone and the World of the Coinless, respectively), so it’d be easy to insert them into a Multiverse-based narrative. Plus, if you want the Hand Wave as to why the Nickelodeon Multiverse has never collided before, have the two fight each other, bringing the realities together in the process.
  • Any or all of the Video Zone bosses (Merlock, Scorchia, and Mongo)' from Nick Arcade. Alternatively the enemies from Mikey's World.

Possible Stages

Against all odds, Doug will be included as DLC
Highly unlikely, sure, especially considering how stingy Disney tends to be with its properties. Still, they haven't done anything with that series since acquiring it and aren't planning to revive it anytime soon. What's stopping them from giving the rights back? This would be on par with Banjo & Kazooie returning to a Nintendo console through Super Smash Bros. Ultimate after a decade of laying dormant at Microsoft.
  • If its Disney that we're talking about, I fear that Quail Man (Doug's imaginary alter ego) will become the Sora of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl: The most highly requested character that has a snowball's chance in hell of coming.
  • Now that Sora is actually in Smash, Doug/Quail Man being in NASB is a bit more likely - all things considered, keep in mind Ludosity is a much smaller studio than Nintendo with less of a budget for this game.
  • If Disney decides to bring Doug in, then they should also bring over some other major former Paramount franchises now associated with Disney, these being Indiana Jones and The Avengers circa Phase One.

The 2012 Turtles and April (and maybe others) will be alternate costumes
Maybe the 2003 and Rise versions as well, but if Raph and Shredder are playable maybe less likely.
  • I can imagine the Rise turtles being separate characters due to their abilities and (especially for Raph) size differences. And they'll probably be DLC.

In an "Arcade/Classic" mode, character's endings will be further crossovers.
Sort of like how endings in Marvel vs. Capcom 3 featured characters from both companies who didn't make the cut.

If the game is a success, the developers and/or Nick may consider DLC content
With all the hype and memes circulating around it, this could be a big money-maker for them both and DLCs would be the perfect way to expand it. Maybe we can get some Guest Fighter(s) into the mix, like Johnny Cage and Ryu as examples.
  • Confirmed with the Universe Pass, which featured three new characters developed after the base game.

The game will have TMNT characters from all four cartoons.
So far at the time of this edit we have Leonardo and Michelangelo from the 1987 series. For Raphael, Donatello, and possibly other characters like April, Casey Jones, and Shredder, we could have mix of different versions from the 2003 series, 2012 series, and Rise. This of course would be on par with how The Legend of Zelda characters are presented in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate; several of the characters having different appearances from a specific game.
  • Jossed; all TMNT content is based on the 1987 series.

GIR might actually be a separate character.
In the gameplay footage shown, we never actually see ZIM pull GIR out for an attack. It's only briefly implied in the pre-rendered animation segments. The Mirrored Confrontation Shot shows GIR separately from ZIM, counting him as one of five characters on the right side and about to face down Helga by himself. It's interesting to note that Reptar, Oblina, Sandy or one of the Turtles could have been used to go against Helga in the shot, but GIR was chosen instead.

It's possible GIR on his own is actually a playable character who isn't ready to be shown in-game yet and him being with ZIM was just to show he's there. If GIR were a Luma/Nana situation with ZIM, he would have been visible in the game footage.

  • Jossed by Ren and Stimpy's trailer, which shows GIR being summoned by Zim in gameplay.

This game will have voice acting
As weird of a prediction this is, the two recent Nickelodeon kart racer games didn't have any voice acting whatsoever. Still, since Ludosity is putting some decent effort into this game, it's likely they'll try to include actual voice acting this time.
  • Appears to be unlikely. Richard Horvitz, Zim's voice actor, has stated that no one was contacted to voice any of the characters.
    • Perhaps voice acting will be added as a patch and/or DLC.
    • While the game won't have voice acting at launch, an interview with Game Informer states that could be a possibility in the future.
    • Confirmed in an interview with one of the development team in (yes, you read that right) a Hungrybox video.
    • Voice acting has been added to the game as of June 6, 2022.

Each series represented will have stages already unlocked for multi-player mode to keep from blocking the fun. But also have stages and stage bosses unlocked for play after completing single player mode/a condition in single player mode.
Stages Locked Behind Story Mode
  • Invader Zim: Skool
  • Danny Phantom: Vlad's Lab
  • Rugrats: Euro Reptar Land
  • SpongeBob: Chum Bucket
  • Hey Arnold: FTi HQ.
  • TMNT: Dimension X
  • Loud House: Loch Loud

Character Locked Behind Single Player

  • Invader Zim: Dib
  • Danny Phantom: Vlad
  • Rugrats: Robo Snail
  • SpongeBob: Plankton
  • Hey Arnold: Alphonse Perrier du von Scheck from the movie, or Iggy so we can finally punch him.
  • TMNT: Krang or Shredder
  • Loud House: Morag

Five and Miko will be announced for surprise DLC
Not only would they be perfect picks for the game, but this would be a great way to promote Glitch Techs - something Netflix hasn't done well enough. Just like Joker in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, they'd be a very out-of-left-field choice.

If successful the game will get a sequel with a much higher budget
  • And said sequel will have voice acting right out of the gate, more characters (including Swiper) and full campaign.
    • Confirmed! (Except for Swiper)

There will be references to the Nicktoons Unite! games
  • SpongeBob uses his jump animations from the game and Danny could probably also have some inspirations in his moves from the series, there will be references in moves and characters from that series.

Squidward is going to be DLC and he will be OP.
  • The opportunity is too hilarious to pass up.

At least one DLC fighter will be a cast or crew member for Nick As Themselves
Potential candidates for this would be

The Rugrats will cameo on a stage based on their show.
With Reptar as a representative and no sign of the titular babies, note  they could still make cameo appearances. Similarly to the Nintendogs stage in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, a Rugrats stage will be Tommy Pickles's living room and the fighters will be tiny.

Tommy, Chuckie, Phil and Lil could be seen playing in the background. Stage Hazards would consist of stray toys rolling towards the fighters which they must avoid or Spike the Dog getting curious and trying to lick them.

  • Jossed. Reptar's home stage is Teeter Totter Gulch, one of the babies' many Imagine Spots, and the babies are completely absent from the game as of October 27, 2021.

If Jon Arbuckle is added, his moves will include his dance moves from Garfield in Paradise.
Behold.

The Rugrats gang will become playable, but as their older selves from All Grown Up!
In order to avoid the Unfortunate Implications of fighting toddlers.

As a nod to Ludosity's past work, someone from Slap City will appear as a Guest Fighter
  • Most likely Ultra Fishbunjin 3000, for the memes.

If the other two Ninja Turtles are added as DLC...
  • They will be Assist Characters rather than true fighters in order to prevent shoo-ins.
  • The devs will not add them as separate fighters, but to prevent fan outrage as well as to save space on the roster, they will add the other Turtles as alt skins for Leo and Mikey.
    • Jossed. Raph and Don are fully playable, unique characters in the second game.

Dora will be this game's equivalent to Villager and Isabelle in the Super Smash Bros. series
A seemingly harmless, childish-looking character that turns out to be a Lethal Joke Character in the game. She could borrow some elements from Dora and the Lost City of Gold, where the character herself Took a Level in Badass.

The DLC characters will be scrapped due to Multi Versus existing.
I don't want this to happen, but still.
  • Jossed, as Garfield was added in a free update.
    • Great!

If Oobi were to get in somehow, he'd be the equivalent to Little Mac as they both focus on fist attacks.
He's literally just a hand, what'd you expect?

Timmy and Jimmy will be revealed together
These two along with Jenny (who is already in) are among the top requested characters. It's only fair that The Fairly OddParents! eventually gets represented as it was the second biggest show on Nick for quite a while. And Jimmy Neutron could absolutely have a second rep; why not the titular Gadgeteer Genius himself? Their double reveal would of course be an homage to the "Jimmy Timmy Power Hour" crossovers.
  • Jossed. Jimmy has been revealed for the sequel, but alongside Squidward instead. Timmy is thus far absent.

Moveset Clones will be later added to the game
Akin to Echo Fighters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, this game will squeeze in a few extra fighters in a way that doesn't take up space in the roster. Examples may include:
  • Donatello and Raphael (for Leonardo and Michaelangelo, respectively note )
    • Jossed; Donatello and Raphael appear to have fully unique movesets in NASB 2.
  • 03, 07, 12, Rise, or Mutant Mayhem Turtles (for the 87 TMNT characters)
  • Clyde or Ronnie Anne (for Lincoln)
  • DoodleBob, Abrasive SpongeBob, or SpongeGar (for SpongeBob)
  • Squilliam Fancyson (for Squidward)
  • Odie or Nermal (for Garfield)
  • Dani Phantom or Dark Danny (for Danny Phantom)
  • Taknote  and MiMi (for Zim and GIR)
  • Vega or Melody (for Jenny)
  • Ickis or Krumm (for Oblina)
  • Heffer or Filburt (for Rocko)
  • Sokka or Tenzin (for Aang)
  • Katara (for Toph)
  • Asami Sato (for Korra)
  • Frida as La Tigresa (for El Tigre)
  • Evil Jimmy (for Jimmy Neutron)

Possible Super Attacks for the rest of the roster
As with the other WMG above, feel free to add your picks on potential characters' supers.
  • Sandy: In reference to Texas, Sandy would lasso her opponent and toss them into the sunset, causing an explosion shortly after.
  • Aang: Using his Avatar State, Aang would damage his opponent with great force in a manner not unlike him stripping Ozai of his bending in the finale.
  • Toph: For Toph's super, she would make herself a metal suit via Metalbending and beat the living daylights out of her opponent.
  • Lincoln: Referencing his home series' intro, Lincoln would whip out a remote, causing the rest of his sisters to appear and chase after him, trampling opponents similarly to Yoshi.
  • Lucy: In the announcement trailer, we saw her utilize a scythe, so for this pick, we could see her slash opponents multiple times with it.
    • Jossed. Her super has her summon a swarm of bats that form into a tornado, and only holds her scythe to make it look more awesome.
  • The rest of the Ninja Turtles: We saw Raph give opponents a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown in his spotlight, which would mean the other turtles doing something similar to that. As an alternative, they would give a different beatdown to opponents not unlike their "Shell Shock" super move in Injustice 2.
    • Jossed for Donatello.
  • Powdered Toast Man: The same way he defeated Muddy Mudskipper in his debut episode. And by that, we mean leaving the opponent to blow up among a large pile of explosives.
  • Helga: Remember her neutral special, Golden Magic Slingshot? Well, imagine that worked into a super.
  • Hugh: For Hugh's super, he could either use a flying saucer-ized Taco Shack against the opponent, or use whatever equivalent is to sending his opponent to the Shadow Realm.
