• Cowardly Lion: It helps that when he's mad enough to shout, lightning bursts uncontrollably from his mouth.

• Death Is Not Permanent: The result of a horrifying combination of lichdom and the SecretArt of Memoria.
• DoubleConsciousness: Suijin, Fuujin, and Raijin, the Evil, Neutral, and Good aspects of his personality, respectively.
• Dragon Rider: Prior to the battle with Chaos.
• Götterdämmerung: Chaos is the ultimate source of all supernatural power. When it was sealed, magic was lost altogether for a time and gradually restored itself as the seal weakened.
• Heavy Sleeper: Has slept through tornadoes, minor earthquakes, and five millenia.
• High Collar of Doom: Suijin. Ironically, Raijin's is even bigger.
• Horned Hairdo: Most obviously Suijin's devilish horns, but Raijin's hair resembles the head of a blue dragon, horns included.
• An Ice Person: Suijin at his worst.
• Insufferable Genius: Made even more insufferable by constant claims that he's just average but SurroundedByIdiots.
• Jade-Colored Glasses: Suijin especially. Raijin is notably a KnightinSourArmor in addition.
• Kaleidoscope Eyes: Fuujin has ordinary red eyes, while Suijin and Raijin have gold.
• Living Relic: Was put in suspended animation as a side effect of sealing Chaos and slept until the ambient mana level was high enough to sustain him.

• Marked Change: Raijin Mode is easily distinguishable from the other two due to the glowing lines of plasma burning through his body.

• Superpowered Evil Side: Subverted. Suijin is the most powerful but is also in control most of the time. Other than being Good, Raijin plays the trope straight due to his independence of Memoria.

• Yellow Lightning, Blue Lightning: When Raijin's hair is one color, his lightning will be the other.
• You Gotta Have Blue Hair: Taken literally by Suijin and sometimes Raijin, depending on the depiction.
