Tokino Sora

    Real life troping (done)
  • Character Tic: In her home setup, she likes to rock back-and-forth in her seat whenever she's excited. yeah no, this is just a tic. sorry, was too stupid to not comment on it
  • Cloudcuckoolander: Her idea of arranging a collab is to wait until she encounters someone in-game and only then invite them to do something together. Flare tells her to just use Discord.
  • Has a Type: To the surprise of many, Sora has a thing for muscular men, and we do mean men who exercise regularly.
  • Kryptonite Factor: She is prone to motion sickness so she cannot handle VR or games that can get fast and jittery.
  • Nice Girl: Sora's peers share that the kind, seiso idol demeanor she presents is basically how she is in real life. maybe could be rewritten to make it tropeworthy, her "character" is also a Nice Girl technically
  • Nightmare Fetishist: Beyond simply liking horror media, she finds them comforting as she has shared that she falls asleep to hour-long horror streams.
  • The Pig-Pen: She has apparently never cleaned her room. If she were to do a room cleaning stream, it would not end because it is simply that dirty.
  • Seiza Squirm: She mentions that her feet don't touch the floor when she's on her chair, so she tends to sit in seiza while streaming. This is why she always seems to be swaying from side to side.

Stream-only shenanigans, stuff not explicitly about an avatar or their lore, misc. things of that nature (done)
  • Absurd Phobia: With all of her skills, abilities, and accomplishments, it's rather jarring that she has a fear of bugs, especially since horror movies and other scary things don't bother her.
  • Breaking Old Trends: In contrast to every other idol that played Ring Fit Adventure, Sora makes no effort to hide her weight and age, feeling no need for it.
  • Brutal Honesty: cut for misuse Her reaction to Aqua's unveiling of the Hololive Resistance, whose purpose is to oust Sora as the de facto leader of hololive.
Sora: [in her usual cheery tone] So you're the enemy?
    Aqua: [confused stuttering]
  • Cool Big Sis: Tends to go back and forth between this and Onee-sama for the rest of the hololive members, the majority of whom look up to, and respect, her as the first member. Notably, Sora is very aware of this, as she always plays the supportive role whenever she gets the chance to stream with any of her juniors - for an example, the collaboration stream with Miko has Sora backing Miko up whenever she clams up mid-conversation and while singing together, going as far as to comfort her with a hug when she cries at the end.
  • Determinator:
    • Growing up, she has never managed to develop a perfect pitch sense and has been told by her piano and opera teachers that she has no talent whatsoever and should just stop. She pushed through despite that, and went on to become a prominent musical VTuber.
    • Early in her career, she was derided for lacking an "anime"-quality voice and her reactions to horror. There was even a point in time when she even considered quitting. She forged on for those that supported her, turned those weak points into strengths and established herself.
  • Dissonant Serenity: Goes side by side with her preference for horror games.
    • In her collab with Azuma Lim (a Vtuber outside of hololive) for Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Sora expresses nothing at the increasingly Bloodier and Gorier scenes, while Azulim slowly freaks out more and more. When Azulim finally snaps and decides she couldn't watch anymore, Sora stops playing and tries to coax her to watch her again... albeit unsuccessfully.
Sora: It's fine, hands are made to come off.
    • This caused her a bit of concern early in her streaming career as some viewers at the time complained about her lack of reactions. Later audiences instead find her fearlessness interesting.
  • Don't Call Me "Sir": cut, not sure if in scripted content
    • Justified. While she is the ultimate senpai, she is also one of the youngest members in the Japanese branch so she doesn't prefer nicknames denoting superiority such as "Goddess" and wants her kouhais and fans to see her as an equal or a friend. See Lonely at the Top below.
    • In Kanata's 1st birthday stream, Sora sends a congratulatory video in which she pokes at Kanata for being unable to speak with her normally on account of being her Fangirl. Though Played for Laughs, Sora does express she would have preferred Kanata to speak with her normally, rather than the Nervous Wreck Kanata becomes in her presence.
  • The Dreaded: Of a sort. She doesn't really do anything to elicit this sort of reputation, outside of her horror-loving tendencies, but her juniors get real nervous and apprehensive whenever she's around because they fear potentially disrespecting her in any way. Even the daredevils in the group, like Pekora, lose the wind in their sails if someone even so much as mentions Sora.
  • Fangirl: It's revealed during the ''Link Your Wish'' Blu-Ray promo that Sora is a big fan of Aki's, squeeing over the replay of "Shallys" and praising her dancing. She has mentioned listening to the song a number of times.
  • Family of Choice: After spending some time together, Sora and Iofi (of Hololive ID's 1st generation) declared themselves sisters. A cooking collab stream with Choco and Lui in September 2022 indicates she would consider the former to be her older sister.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: With AZKi.
    • In Sora's 20th year birthday stream, many Vtubers from in and out of hololive send congratulatory videos to her, to the point where Sora has to divide them into segments so she can properly respond to each of them. However, when reacting to AZKi, Sora goes out of her way to briefly recount their experiences together, recalling how AZKi built up the courage to call her "Sora-chan" as opposed to the more respectful "Sora-senpai". Sora even almost namedrops this trope as she admits AZKi is a comrade for life at the end of the segment.
    • She restated their closeness in her Holotalk interview with Kiara, where Sora mentioned that they hang out off stream a lot and even eat together often. Sora even admits to "keeping AZKi for herself" a lot of the time.
  • Hidden Depths: She is very good at playing darts as Pekora finds out the hard way in Clubhouse Games. She also owns her own darts set in real life.
  • I Have Many Names: One of the things she's famous for is her ever-increasing list of nicknames. "Tokino Soda" is the most persistent among them. commented for ZCE, possibility of being fixed later
  • Lonely at the Top: Lampshaded in a discussion with Kotone Tenjin. Part of Sora's Don't Call Me "Sir" attitude stems from this trope and how she is so respected by her kouhais and busy with her traditional idol duties that she doesn't appear in many group streams outside of streams on the official hololive channel. This is also why she stalks a lot of her kouhais in Minecraft as to not intimidate them with her presence. In late 2021, however, more and more of her kouhai took to calling her "Sora-chan" rather than "Sora-senpai." Moreover, collaborations (both official and impromptu) with other members increased in number.
  • Not So Above It All: cut all except the Holo Gra line
    • While Sora certainly doesn't go out of her way to act or claim she's above certain things, practically all of the idols in hololive (barring a few people like A-Chan, Azki, and Suisei) put her on a pedestal since she fits the role of traditionally pure. However Sora is just as prone to being silly or participating in any multitude of events as the others, albeit not to such drastic degrees as some. One particular example was when Pekora wanted to trick someone into blowing up a mountain on their Minecraft server. Sora, who was watching at the time, logged in to help with the construction (by constructing her mascot's face on the front of the mountain) and then played along by feigning shock and pretending to be upset when she "discovered" that Towa had blown up her mountain. She also once went along with Iofi's flirting with her and during Coco's meme review with her she openly said she is ok with memes about her navel.
    • Her roles in Holo no Graffiti is slowly involving her the weird parts that has her in it. Such as a ghost doppelganger, reading stereotypical Tsundere lines, and at one point, making a real katana out of paper with murderous intent. All but one of those moments were Played for Laughs.
    • She's pretty fine with her juniors' quirks and discourages them from downplaying or trying to changing them because of her, like when she's told about Marine's love for erotic works. There's also her reaction to witnessing Pekora's war crimes, which is to turn to her audience and tell them You Didn't See That.
    • When watching Gura and Amelia fight each other during the 2021 Summer Festival, she just simply decides to watch and screenshot the event rather than try to break them up.
    • She shares in Noel's 2021 birthday totsumachi stream that she is not immune to the allure of the knight's voluptuous figure.
  • Only Sane Man: Both her and AZKi are probably the sanest ones in their generation. Both Suisei and Miko are Comedic Sociopaths whenever they play certain games (double with Suisei who enjoys killing her friends in multiplayer games and openly laughs about it), and Roboco herself isn't exactly above it either, making her one of the two sanest people in their group.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business:
    • The VR version of Phasmophobia was the only horror game to scare her to the point of dropping her character completely. GatchmanV, the VTuber who was streaming with her, even lampshaded how atypical such an event was.
GatchmanV: This is really rare! It was a voice I had never heard.
    • She lampshades her OOC horror game moments herself during her playthrough of hololive ERROR, where she gets scared of resident Vengeful Ghost Shino - ironically, portrayed by Sora herself.
Sora: I don't have a save! I'm gonna start all over again!
[a ceiling panel falls from above]
Sora: HAAAAAA WAIT! [Beat] ...Ah! I just went "HAAAA!" That scared me just now, I was like "HAAAA!" [laughs]
  • Open-Minded Parent: While she is not literally a parent in any way, many of her junior peers treat her as one. Despite keeping away from anything crass or sexual in her own streams, she has never expressed disapproval of others for their racier topics. For example, her reaction to Suisei exposing Marine's hobby of reading porn is met with amusement and reassurance.
  • Person of Mass Construction: Come mid-late 2021, Sora began building multiple large projects in the JP Minecraft server, including a magma generator as well as a number of other, and her then-largest project: Sora Station, a train station meant to help keep her from getting lost. note
  • Seen It All: Sora remarked that Coco's graduation was unique in how publicized and generally happy it was, later commenting on how she's "seen a lot of girls go". note
  • Stalker without a Crush: She enjoys watching the other members go about their day on hololive's Minecraft server. This usually translates into her following them around until they catch a glimpse of her, then hightailing it... to find a new vantage point. During the EN tour of the JP server hosted by Moona, Sora followed them for quite a while and even attempted to hide behind a tree when they finally cornered her.
  • Tears of Joy: A few times, much less frequent than other hololive members, but most notably after getting a rather heartfelt letter from A-chan during her third anniversary stream, where she starts sobbing and needs several moments to regain her composure.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?:
    • She's very afraid of bugs (especially cicadas) and worms. They are among the only things in horror games that can actually scare her. Even the low-poly, vaguely bug-like silverfish from Minecraft got her to scream.
    • During her co-op playthrough of It Takes Two with Iofi, they run into a cave full of larvae and Sora spends most of the ensuing battle panicking at how gross they are. Iofi dies at one point, leaving Sora to solo an enemy spawner by herself, but she ends up retreating in fear.

Probably okay (lore, character design, scripted content)

    Not sure
  • Elegant Classical Musician: honestly don't know enough about her music to know if this happens outside of her streams (if said streams are tropeworthy, ignore this)
    • Sora has been playing the piano since she was four years-old and has learned how to use at least six other instruments.
    • She is trained in singing opera and demonstrates it in her August 6, 2021 stream by singing "Caro mio ben" and "Star vicino". Two weeks after that, she does a singing stream that is all classical music.
  • Engrish: Zigzagged. Sora can understand English to a small extent, but by her admission she isn't at all good at it. On the other hand, when asked to sing a song with English lyrics, she can pull it off without any issue. Her diction however appears to be improving over time, with her making an effort to communicate with her overseas viewers; she even goes so far as to purchase an Japanese-to-English dictionary to aid in her communication in the language. i don't believe this happens in any scripted content? was thinking of cutting it
  • The Face: Of Hololive as a whole, she is the defacto representative of the company when it comes to general appearances and interviews. For all intents and purposes, Sora represents the entire company as the Idol who shouldered it as it grew until it became popular. The company would not exist as it does without her hard work and she represents Hololive's hard work and determination to reach it's current success from it's more humble beginnings.
  • Hypercompetent Sidekick: A-Chan serves as one for her, being her manager, technician, and occasional co-star rolled into one, as Sora herself has little knowledge of computers and software. leaning no on this one, but it's technically about production...?
  • Innocent Swearing: Her Meme Review collaboration with Coco exposes her to the word "Motherfucker", a word she is not familiar with. When they encounter a meme where it says "Coco is going to try to make Sora say Motherf*cker", she by all intents and purposes, refuses to teach her to say it. She ends up saying it anyway, and Coco asked her to say it again, which she does. not sure for the same reason as every other meme review bullet point: we're not sure if it's scripted enough to be tropeworthy
  • The Leader: She's considered the leader of all the hololive idols, and as such there is a considerable amount of respect and formality given to her. [[red:not sure how often this gets lip service outside of streams (if any)
  • Off-Model: Infamous for her model making "interesting" movements if she makes sudden motions, which is frequently joked about by her fans. Sora has always used a 3D model instead of an L2D, and her home capture setup sometimes has problems like making her freeze then suddenly jerk into new positions, her arms bending in ways that shouldn't be possible, and most famously her head spinning 360 degrees like The Exorcist. While updates to her model and home tracking setup have made these moments more rare than they were near the beginning of hololive, they still pop up occasionally. glitches don't strike me as tropeworthy
  • Token Wholesome: Despite not really trying to maintain such an image, she's considered to be the one traditionally "pure" idol of the group. Incidents like the swearing mentioned above are few and far between. This seems to extend to her depiction in Azur Lane, as "special touching" her normal skin just has her talk about cheering up the commander (though her other skin has a reaction). might just cut this down to the fictional portrayals

Roboco

    Real life troping (done)
  • Trash of the Titans: Her home is really messy and full of cardboard boxes, so much so that there's barely any room to move. She even said that she's gotten used to putting her keys on the boxes in her genkan rather than on any sort of table.

Stream-only shenanigans, stuff not explicitly about an avatar or their lore, misc. things of that nature (done)
  • Cat Scare:
    • On one Minecraft stream, Roboco gets lost in Ollie's wooden maze and asks Nene to help her over Discord. Nene joins the call and scares the daylights out of Roboco merely by saying "Hello!".
    • Gura manages to jump scare Roboco during a Rust stream also simply by greeting her, in a mellow tone to boot. To be fair, Gura was stalking Roboco in the waters beneath her house and their surroundings were pitch black.
  • Competition Freak: Heavily downplayed; such reactions are rare and subdued compared to the desk slamming grade ones of others.
  • Covert Pervert: Don't let the cute and quiet personality fool you, she can join the rest of the group in lewd antics. Case in point:
    • In a 3D TRPG collab she participates with Towa in playing with Watame's rather ample boin boins, much to Fubuki's frustration.
    • Another instance, when the PlayStation 5 unveiled, she brought attention to the fact that her lower regions looked similar to its controller. While asking fans to take care not to break her thighs.
    • She's been known to retweet some rather racy art of herself.
    • When tons of vtubers started tweeting their shoes/feet for National Shoe Day, let's just say Roboco's entry was quite racy.
    • When Roboco decides to go to the toilet in the middle of an APEX collab with Ollie, the latter wastes no time going "WANGI WANGI" on Roboco's avatar, and when Roboco comes back, Ollie feigns ignorance as to not attract suspicions to her antics. Fifty minutes later, when it's Ollie's turn to go to the toilet, Roboco returns the favour, revealing that she suspected the kind of antics Ollie would be doing behind her back and proceeding to go "kun kun kun" on Ollie's avatar.
  • Cute Clumsy Girl: She has been voted to be the most "ponkotsu" member in all of Hololive, helped in no small part due to her considerable clumsiness. The other members have many stories that punctuate this, such as right after the recording session where she earned the title by leaving her house keys in the office and having to go back for them.
  • The Gambling Addict: She freely admits to whaling in the various games she plays.
  • Girly Bruiser: Strong robot girl with the most adorable battlestation.
  • Hero Shooter: APEX Legends is one of the main games she plays and is rather good at it. She's also among the Hololive production members to take part in a VTuber tournament. She has played a few others, like VALORANT.
  • Idiot Hero: She's more presumptuous than she is idiotic, but she ended up being voted as the most "ponkotsu" member of Hololive (even beating out Miko) by her fellow members, which made her really upset.

Probably okay (lore, character design, scripted content)
  • ASMR Video: Features as a prominent part of her content and it comes in many types.
  • Big Red Button: There's a bright red button on the back of her neck that even she is unsure of what it does. Kiara relates to that seldom-explored attribute during their Holotalk episode given she has a similar taboo concerning her belt (which would transform her into a phoenix if used), and recommends that Roboco puts some tape on the button to avoid accidentally triggering it.
  • Chained by Fashion: Her Regal outfit has a set of handcuffs and a collar with short trailing chains.
  • Little Bit Beastly: Often shows up on stream with either cat ears or rabbit ears on her head.
  • Major Injury Underreaction: She loses one arm in one of the animated shorts and brushes it off with a calm disposition. She gets a replacement not two minutes later. Almost one and a half year later, this becomes a Brick Joke at the end of Help! I'll be Burned!.
  • Non-Standard Character Design: Roboco is one of the only members of Hololive who, at least initially, lacked cel-shading to her model, making her come across more like a CGI model as opposed to a model-converted cartoon drawing.
  • Pants-Free: She doesn't actually have pants or any underwear on in her default outfits. She has robotic parts that cover up her crotch, parts of her butt, and the inner parts of her thighs, making it look like she's wearing chaps. It's not noticeable most of the time anyway as she only shows her upper body in most streams.
  • Ridiculously Human Robots: Aside from the obviously robotic bits that are barely visible half the time due to her clothing and her avatar being shown from the chest up, she's basically indistinguishable from any other idol that's flesh and blood at first glance. Despite being mechanical, Roboco still has to eat and sleep, and she has the whole range of emotions that a normal girl has.
  • Robot Girl: In all her High-Spec glory. She isn't called Roboco-san for nothing.
  • Super-Strength: She's noted to be incredibly strong, which makes sense on account of her being a machine.
  • Uniformity Exception: Unike the other 3D only talents (Sora, Miko and AZKi), her model was made by Kuromaru, which allowed her to get accessories and outfits faster than them. Unlike others, her top could be entirely removed revealing only stragetically place metal pieces on her breasts keeping things from going full R-18. This is still too much for YouTube's rules, so this detail is mainly seen in full in fanart and Kuromaru's older works (the racy foot day tweet art being among them).
  • Unlimited Wardrobe: She has the most alternate outfits of any member, with her having at least 8. Although these outfits inevitably repeat, she tends to not wear the same one consecutively and constantly alternates.

    Not sure
  • Affectionate Nickname: Korone gives her the nickname "Roborobo". cutting because ZCE unless there's more context
  • Bokukko: As a solitary Robot Girl from the post-apocalypse (possibly?), she uses boku to refer to herself. not sure if in scripted content
  • Jack of All Trades: Her content is rather wide and varied, featuring the usual gaming and singing, alongside ASMR, chatting, cooking, eating and even video shorts.
  • Spell My Name With An S: Her name is officially written in English as "Roboco", not "Roboko". That said, she did once misspell her own name as "Roboko" when signing her merchandise in romanji Leading to her hilarious Pose of Supplication, promising to later fix it.
  • What Measure Is a Non-Human?: Ironically enough, despite being an android, she's made more than a few comments hinting at a desire to eat Pekora and Watame. not sure if this trait appears at all in scripted content

Sakura Miko

    Real life troping (done)
  • Cool Big Sis: She reveals on her January 13, 2022 stream that she's actually the eldest in the family with two younger siblings.
  • Country Mouse: She described herself as such when she talked about the time she treated her mom to a nice hotel stay and a meal at a fancy restaurant. She also describes her family home as being several hours' distance outside of Tokyo.
  • Does Not Like Spam: Green peppers, because she doesn't like how they taste. Peppers in other colors are disliked as well for largely the same reason.
  • Doting Parent: Miko is really close with her mom, as she mentioned that her mom is her first and best fan. They live some distance from each other but her mom regularly comes to visit and even took care of her when she went on her long health break. Her mom also regularly watches and comments on her streams, even the GTA ones to the fans' surprise, and they even discuss merchandise ideas with each other.
  • Drives Like Crazy: A common joke among her chat is that being in a car with her is a death sentence, especially when the game is Assetto Corsa. In those streams, chat will be filled with fans simultaneously laughing their heads off and begging for their lives, and Miko sometimes plays along for comedy. For instance, she will "tie up" the chat and force them to be her passengers. edited for clarity
  • Embarrassing Nickname: Chappy, which went all the way back to her childhood. It is either this trope when accidentally used in public, or an Affectionate Nickname when used by her family.
  • Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: Miko reveals that while she's the eldest in the family, her two younger siblings act more mature than she does.
  • Going Commando: She has admitted to not wearing any panties many times while on-stream, sometimes while streaming as well, and she doesn't have that many of them to begin with. It's that much of a big deal that she will announce it on-stream if she has been wearing some for any length of time at all. Averted by her character model, however, which does wear either panties or a pair of tight shorts. With her May 2022 outfit, she has confirmed that she isn't wearing any underneath the short shorts.
  • Has a Type: On Kiara's HoloTalk, Miko states she has a thing for busty blondes and if a theoretical hololive eroge game existed, she would pursue Haachama from JP and Amelia from EN. She seems to be genuinely infatuated with the latter more so than the former, generally due to Ame's gregarious personality and overall more frequent interaction with her, while Haachama is content with simply being friends with everybody.
  • Hidden Depths:
  • Older Than They Look: Similar to Gura, Miko apparently looks young enough to pass for a child in reality. When she went out shopping for a new bed on one occasion, the staff were allegedly so confused about her appearance that they probably had the impression that she's some random kid who wandered into the store (it was a Simmons store, a fairly high-quality brand) instead of a buying customer until Miko approached them herself.
  • Shrinking Violet: Zigzagged. Although Miko considers herself to be extremely shy in person, she does her best to keep it on the down low when streaming.
  • The Unintelligible: Due to her unique way of speaking and the speed at which she does it, the majority of her audience often can't understand what she's saying at a given moment. In fact, it's something of an official meme for Miko to be ranked low on the Hololive Japanese proficiency chart due to this, typically way under even those who are not native speakers such as the HoloID and HoloEN crowds, with her placement slipping further down when newer generations are introduced. Turning on closed captioning on YouTube also doesn't help, since the AI itself also has a hard time deciphering Miko's Elite speech, usually rendering it as gibberish or gibberish in another language altogether. However, in her one million subscriber call-in stream, Sora reveals that she can actually understand Miko just fine, and this seems to be an effect of Characterization Marches On, as Miko spoke very clearly during her Sakura Miko Project days. cut for real life troping/ambiguous
  • Verbal Tic: left alone, not sure if any examples are intentional
    • She tends to pronounce the syllable "ne" as a nasal "nye". Noticable enough that others tend to copy it when imitating her. She is also aware of it, as she even writes this way (にぇ) and at one point bemoaned how it makes it difficult for her to say Nene's name.
    • She also tends to end sentences with "de" (で) where many women would instead say "wa" (わ).
  • What the Hell Is That Accent?: Combined with Motor Mouth above. Only Mio and Luna have come even remotely close to imitating her voice, and the other hololive members have said that, like Coco, it is very hard to make impressions of her since no one knows what accent she has. According to both Mio and Pekora, she's actually not making a voice, that is her normal voice. note  Miko thinks her accent -which is more of a lisp- is because she actually has a very small tongue in real life. cut for real life troping

Stream-only shenanigans, stuff not explicitly about an avatar or their lore, misc. things of that nature (done)
  • Abhorrent Admirer: To Haato. After coming to terms with having to let go of her crush on Amelia, Miko instead shifted gears towards Haato, doing whatever it takes to make Haato love her. Haato always tries to friend zone her, but in contrast to her normal ponkotsu self, Miko always finds ways to outsmart her, causing Haato to repeatedly feel defeated. cut, not sure if scripted
  • Actually Pretty Funny: Occasionally has this reaction to insults or pranks aimed her way.
    • During a collab with Korone of Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy during which they were in separate Discord calls, she joins Korone's call to tease her for falling back to the beginning of the game, only for Korone to mockingly respond with a stream of gibberish in Miko's vocal style. Miko can't help but giggle for a few seconds before pulling herself together enough to call Korone's mocking "unforgivable".
    • During a session of Grand Theft Auto Online with Flare and Suisei, with Miko piloting a Cargobob helicopter and the other two riding shotgun, someone in Suisei's chat claimed that pressing F would make the chopper go faster note , which Suisei faithfully relayed to Miko. Cue Miko diving out of the helicopter (sending it crashing to the ground), screaming "Yurusenai!"note , which probably would have had more impact if she hadn't been barely stammering it out between giggles.
  • Ambiguously Gay: Averted, in stark contrast to her peers. Miko has constantly, consistently expressed her lack of interest in men while fawning over busty women in the next sentence, and has only ever expressed romantic and sexual interest in women on camera.
Marine: Question 6: What type of men do you like?
Miko: Eh, "men"!? None. I'm sorry, but that's out of my field. I can talk about girls though.
  • The Baby of the Bunch: Not appearance-wise, but in terms of personality. cut the second line
    • Given her Womanchild tendencies and childish voice, Miko is often referred to by fans and fellow talents as a baby, and on the occasions where she and Luna interact, it often devolves into a contest to see who can out-baby the other. Miko being Miko, demands that if people are going to call her a baby anyway, they have to specifically refer to her as an "Elite baby", or else. This further gained traction when her official Nendoroid by Good Smile Company actually comes with a baby-sized body swap, bib and all.
    • As it turns out, she is this among her siblings as well, despite her being the eldest child, with her younger brother and sister behaving much more adult-like by comparison and often taking care of her due to her clumsiness. real life troping
  • Berserk Button: During a Minecraft stream, she deliberately asked for provocative comments. After two insults to her popularity and her gaming skills are casually dismissed, what finally sets her off is someone calling her beloved eroge (adult visual novels) "boring".
  • Born Unlucky: might be worth keeping, considering her bad luck is referenced in merch
    • In spite of her love for gambling, Miko is astoundingly unlucky, always getting the short-end of the stick when it comes to RNG, betting games, and even Rock-Paper-Scissors against a pre-recorded Watame. Numerous stories from real life and her childhood also oftentimes mention countless incidents of misfortune. This is all made even more ironic because sakura trees are symbols of good luck.
    • Given how many times a misplaced bucket of lava ruined her day in Minecraft, it's safe to say her bad luck extends farther than just gambling minigames. Even when lava's not involved, she's still unlucky, as the very first amethyst geode she broke open contained tons of creepers ready to blow her up - meanwhile, everyone else who streamed the Cliffs and Caves update had relatively peaceful first impressions.
  • Bratty Half-Pint: Miko is a mere 152 cm, which is noticeably short, and she's a very frequent complainer as a result of her bad luck and Butt-Monkey status. leaving alone for now
  • Bullying a Dragon: She has a bad track record of provoking her friends in online games. Noticeably, if Suisei is the dragon in question, the results will not be pretty. It got to the point that when she was playing Rust in an unofficial collab with Suisei, Matsuri, Fubuki, and Pekora, their immediate response is to form an alliance to track down her base and blow it up to hell.
  • Butt-Monkey:
    • Frequently the victim of bad luck, her poor decision-making skills, and people intentionally screwing with her, notably her fans or Pekora. Notable incidents include her accidentally burning her house down in Minecraft (twice) due to mishandling of a bucket of lava; a childhood incident where she fell off the roof of her house in an ill-fated attempt to summon the power of wind; crashing a military plane into a crowded city block, falling out of the cockpit unharmed, only to accidentally walk right into the propellers in Grand Theft Auto V; and an astoundingly long losing streak against Watame's pre-recorded Rock–Paper–Scissors game.
    • Whenever she is paired with Suisei, the latter will always screw her over when they play collaboration games together. This can range from being the reason she is dying or when she is deliberately trying to kill her.
    • She has a tendency to die a lot in Among Us, whether she is a Crewmate or an Impostor, to the point that people expect her to be one of the first to die or to be suspected.
  • The Bus Came Back: She returned back to streaming to much fanfare on October 21, 2020, after a break of over three months due to health complications.
  • Car Fu: One of her favorite antics in Grand Theft Auto V and Online is to run over pedestrians with her cars. Amusingly, she's also been put on the receiving end of this by Flare of all people on one occasion.
  • Comedic Lolicon: When discussing Mikodanye and the topic of kids, she mentions that a part of her is a lolicon, and that this part must have gone to Mikodanye too (as she is consisted of 80% of Miko's violent side). commented, not really clear who's the Comedic Lolicon here
  • Comedic Sociopathy: One of the biggest and earliest contributors to the explosion of Vtuber popularity in the west is tributed to her clips of her child-like glee at doing horrible things in Grand Theft Auto 5 (that and mimicing Lamar taunting Franklin without knowing what the N-word meant) going viral. Miko tends to be greatly amused by wanton displays of violence and destruction in every game she plays and goes far out of her way to cause mayhem.
  • Covert Pervert: In spite of her childish and innocent personality and behaviour, she has openly admitted to being a huge fan of adult visual novels, commonly referred to in Japanese as eroge. She is not nearly as open about this as the likes of Matsuri, though. But she does have her moments like when she spends large portions of the Final Fantasy VII Remake ogling Tifa and other attractive ladies, trying to see their underwear with the help of stairs, and making perverted comments.
  • Cute, but Cacophonic: Miko's normal speaking voice is already very high-pitched and nasal for her age (almost sounding like a squeaky toy on occasion), but she tends to play this up even more while on-stream, not helped by how she will occasionally turn on the reverb by mistake and crank the volume up to a truly ear-piercing level. Her Motor Mouth tendencies also make her speech almost unintelligible sometimes because of her unique accent, which has been described by many as sounding similarly to the babbling of a toddler. She has been jokingly called a baby by the chat on many occasions because of this.
  • Didn't See That Coming: Like many others doing the Genocide route of Undertale, she was not expecting Sans' opening salvo.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Played for Laughs while playing GTAV when the COVID pandemic struck in early 2020, as she would start gunning down people not following stay-at-home orders or social distancing guidelines while shouting "STAY HOME!"
  • Do Not Taunt Cthulhu: A fixture in her horror streams. If a horror game has a monster stalking the player that can easily or instantly kill them if it catches them, and Miko has the perceived upper hand from it running into a glitch or her getting lucky, she will waste no chance at taunting and mocking her pursuer, who will typically turn right around and make her regret it.
  • Even the Subtitler Is Stumped: Once told a story about how a staff member had shown her a clip of herself and asked what she was saying, as they needed to write subtitles for a blu-ray. However, even Miko herself couldn't understand what she was saying. keep for now
  • Failure Hero: While on collabs, there's a 50/50 chance of her winning, on her own channel where she's the main focus, 9 times out of 10, she never wins at competitions, which she's always quick to lampshade. Of note is Watame's Tsunomaki Janken series, which Miko is a big fangirl of, but never wins at despite the outcomes being predetermined.
  • Fangirl:
    • There are rumors that she was one of the Thirteen Knights. While it is unconfirmed if she was or not, it is true that she has been a long-time fan of Sora since Hololive's early days.
    • She is a fan of Tadakoro Azusa, which is shown in episode 62 of the Suikoro radio show (which she co-hosted in Suisei's place) when she geeked out over meeting the seiyuu and apologized in advance for being such an otaku.
    • She's also a fan of Yuzu-soft visual novels as she has accidently opened Sabbat of the Witch and Café Stella and the Reapers' Butterflies on her streams. She was even given permission to stream the demo version of Parquet, an all-ages visual novel by Yuzu-Soft Sour.
  • The Gambling Addict:
    • There was a period of time where she was utterly addicted to blackjack, plus the occasional bet on some of the Diamond Casino's other games. It eventually culminated in an eleven-hour stream that was almost nothing but blackjack (unfortunately now privated, but here's a small sampling of those shenanigans). She also has streamed herself playing a few gacha games as well.
    • Much later in her career, while playing Dream Club C, she expresses extreme distaste at the thought of working part-time jobs for money and instead decides to gamble for money to woo her hostess of choice. She ends up very, very deep in debt from losing and gambling again to try to win back her losses, then is forced to spend in-game months working part-time to get out of it. In the end, Miko gladly does demeaning jobs and cheerfully declares "Working is great!".
  • Gun Nut: To say that Miko really loves guns would be the understatement of the century. The games that manage to interest her the most are usually chock-full of firearms, and she seems to have a predilection for full-auto weaponry, with which she often blasts away at people with absolute glee. As the cherry on top, she has also expressed a desire to one day go to the United States just to shoot some guns.
  • Hopeless Suitor: To Haachama. It's an ongoing arc for Miko to endlessly pursue Haachama and attempt to win over her heart, with most of her attempts ending in failure. However, Miko proves to be the Determinator and will never give up on the Haachama route. cut, not sure if scripted
  • Innocently Insensitive: Dropped the N-word while mimicking Lamar, which was the first major exposure she (and arguably Hololive as a whole) got in the west due to how hilarious and surreal it was to see an anime girl innocently saying a slur without knowing what it means. When she replayed the game over a year later she evidently learned what it means and substituted it with a nervous FAQ while chiding the chat for egging on her to say it again. She does say it again later on while imitating a different cutscene.
  • I Want My Beloved to Be Happy: Miko didn't take the news of Amelia and Kiara getting "married" in July 2022 very well, given her infatuation with the former, though she did congratulate them, and managed to find solace in the fact that she still has Haachama to fall back on.
  • Lady Swears-a-Lot: Drops FAQs like nobody's business, especially during her Grand Theft Auto V streams, though she significantly dialed back when transitioning to her third model. For example, there's her listening to Trevor's cutscenes:
Trevor: You motherfucking fuck! I grieved for you! You weren't even fucking dead! You were my best friend. Well, guess who's coming to shit on your doorstep, you fuck!
Miko: [Mostly repeating after Trevor] FAQ! [Beat] FAQing FAQ! MotherFAQing FAQ!
keep, but needs more context
  • Last-Name Basis: With Pekora, whom she almost always refer to as Usada, though this doesn't go both ways as the former typically address Miko by her given name instead.
  • Leeroy Jenkins: Miko's Elite approach to any stealthy situation in a given game, if she can help it, is to bash through the front door guns-a-blazing, which typically leads to her own demise.
  • Maou the Demon King: The self-proclaimed Demon King of hololive JP's Minecraft server, with a big dark castle and a group of Four Heavenly Kings under her command, being Flare, Polka, Watame, and, ironically, Kanata. Haachama, upon visiting her castle, remarks that despite the intimidating aesthetic, Miko's true Nice Girl nature shines through the fact that the Lava Pits of the castle have glass covering over them to prevent anyone from falling in, saying that a true Demon Lord would have left the lava open or, even more treacherously, would have left holes in the glass for people to fall through. keep as it's roleplay
  • Motor Mouth: Miko speaks in a very rapid-fire pattern, making her sound like The Unintelligible. Even some of her fellow streamers and staff members have noted they have no idea what she is saying at times. On one occasion, a staff member showed Miko a clip of herself and asked what she was saying, as they needed to write subtitles for a concert DVD, and even Miko herself had trouble understanding what she was saying. cut for real life/ambiguous
  • Mushroom Samba: She once watched Supernatural while very sick and had to take some strong medication to help her sleep afterwards, which didn't make it any easier for her to rest but instead gave her terrifying hallucinations of the monsters in the show, causing her to scream and cry a lot which worried her mother. Miko herself seems to recall this rather fondly, though.
  • Netorare: According to her own profile sheet, Miko's personal weakness is "NTR😭". Her fellow members were in shock from the revelation, saying that they weren't expecting something so obscene as cuckolding to be the weakness of someone as childish as her. keep as it's part of official channel scripted content
  • No, You: One of her more infamous moments in Among Us is when a player named "Megane" casts doubt on Miko's integrity and texts "faq miko". Miko's response? A loud "NO. YOU. FAQ you.", followed by trying to vote Megane out (which would've been successful if not for the majority deciding to skip).
  • Odd Friendship: With Ayame. With her being a shrine maiden and Ayame being an oni, the two basically serve directly conflicting roles to one another, which they lampshade, yet the two love calling each other adorable and giving each other head pats.
  • Ooh, Me Accent's Slipping: Miko's usual voice is high-pitched and very childish, but when put under a lot of pressure like Coco quickly repeating an English sentence that Miko must pass on to the rest of her team in the telephone game, Miko briefly forgets her accent while letting out a flat "Wow...".
  • Porn Stash: Miko has a veritable trove of eroge lying around her house. Unlike the typical examples of this trope, she's actually not trying to hide it.
  • Psychopathic Manchild: Combine her lust for violence and chaos with her childlike hyperactivity, short temper, and childish speech pattern puts her firmly in this territory.
  • Put on a Bus: In mid-2020, she began to suffer health problems to the point that she went on a break of several months that included a week long stay in hospital.
  • Pyromaniac: Ironically, despite her lava-related mishaps in Minecraft, she'll gleefully burn things she dislikes, like when she nonchalantly burned an entire woodland mansion down (while singing, to boot) just because its loot sucked. Being around fellow pyromaniac Flare didn't help matters.
  • Self-Insert Fic: On occasion, she'll turn her model around and turn herself into a self-insert for whatever's going on on-screen at the moment. keep as it's an intentional, consistent bit
  • Serious Business: She considers eroge to be extremely serious business, having explained at length about her love for the genre beyond its suggestive content, especially preferring works with a story that can move her to tears. If she spots someone so much as offhandedly slighting an eroge she likes, or suggesting that they only play those for the NSFW bits, Miko will drop whatever she's doing to give them an earful.
  • Signature Headgear: Her Ender Dragon hat in Minecraft.
  • Sitcom Arch-Nemesis: Miko may be the queen of this particular trope in Hololive, as 9/10 times if she's good friends with someone it'll devolve into this. left alone, aside from the first bullet point
    • With Pekora. If they meet on the same game, chances are they'll be at each other's throats and/or trying to out-prank each other. They even eventually got an official song (PekoMiko Daisensou!!) all about their Vitriolic Best Buds dynamic. Vitriolic Best Buds bit was split off into its own line
    • She also started having this dynamic with Coco after she made her own parody of AsaCoco called AsaMiko, with both shows taking very thinly veiled jabs at each other's hosts. The first time Coco got banned after AsaMiko started airing, Miko seized the opportunity to rub salt in the wound.
    • Then there's her dynamic with Suisei in the MiComet pairing, being the understated comedian duo of the original generation. Like Pekora, Suisei is fond of pulling fast pranks on Miko, with the latter responding in kind.
    • She's a good friend with Korone with the pair frequently referred to as Mikorone. Naturally this means if they're in a game with any kind of competitive aspect to it, things will quickly devolve into mutual sabotage and petty insults. Taken to its pinnacle when they competed in Getting Over It.
  • Strange Minds Think Alike: Miko and Pekora have been friends since before their Hololive days and have some interesting personality sync ups. These are best demonstrated during their frequent appearances in Minecraft.
    • Her reaction to Moona's Big Fancy House in Minecraft was to try to take it from her. A day earlier Pekora wanted to do the same thing.
Pekora to her chat: How do I type "Moona gimme this house"?

Miko to Moona: (places bed) OK second HOUSE. Thank you!
    • When her chat tells her that her new netherite sword won't burn in lava, she chooses to test this the exact same way Pekora did when told the same months earlier — by throwing it into lava. Cue the freakout. Luckily, she threw it in a smaller pool of lava, so it didn't take as much time or effort to retrieve.
    • During a game of Among Us, she gathered with Subaru and Polka, and started to sing that they were the "Ponkotsu Squad".* During a later game some weeks later, Miko found herself as a ghost alongside Subaru and Polka, and took the opportunity to shamefully confess that she did that. Subaru then stated that during that exact same situation, she thought to herself that the three of them were the "Ponkotsu Party", which caused all three to laugh up a storm at how much of a Contrived Coincidence it was.
  • Vocal Dissonance: Can do a surprisingly close immitation of Okayu's voice, somehow.

Probably okay (lore, character design, scripted content)
  • Animal Motifs: While it is of lesser importance compared to the actual animal people, she has a cat motif along with her Miko and sakura motifs. This is emphasized in her second outfit and her personal greetings ("Nyahello!"). Her casual outfit makes the motif more obvious by giving her a brown cat-eared beret as an optional accessory. Her 2022 outfit took this the furtherest of all, by including an optional cat-eared hoodie and a cat tail.
  • Breakout Character: Due to Miko's immense popularity, during July and August of 2021, she held a special collab with a café chain where certain branches in Akihabara, Japan would get themed as Sakura Miko's Elite Café, which would be redecorated with a Miko theme, served Miko-themed food, and even was given her own mascot Mikodanye.
  • Cherry Blossom Girl: Her character is themed around this, with her surname being Sakura, having pink hair, and having a Cherry Blossom motif.
  • Cool Shades: Miko is frequently pictured with a pair of sunglasses, seemingly going along with her elite status, it is often present even in her Minecraft skin. The Miku Miku Dance model of her first outfit even has an option to equip one of these.
  • Fashionable Asymmetry: Miko only wears one stocking on her left leg, with her right being left bare.
  • Girlish Pigtails: She has a pair of low-worn pigtails in her casual outfit.
  • Idiot Hair: Her character model has a noticeable strand sticking out of her head. According to a 20 Questions session with Luna and Marine, it's her favorite aspect about herself. When the chat asked her about the origin of her own ahoge, Miko put up a drammatic speech about how it grew out of the part of the brain that's the dumbest, essentially admitting herself to being a massive knucklehead in the process.
    Q. What is Miko like?
    —- Answered by fans:
    [...]
A: A beautiful girl whose intelligence got sucked away by her cowlick.
-Official hololive website's Q&A about Sakura Miko
  • Meaningful Name: She's a Miko that has a pink palette like cherry blossoms.
  • Modesty Shorts: Her December 2020 3D model features a pair, to avoid the Panty Shots that were so abundant with her previous model.
  • Puni Plush: Her December 2020 model gives her a more rounded face compared to her older models, making her look a little younger. Pekora lampshades this by asking Miko if she "became more loli".
  • Shout-Out:
    • Her signature "Nyahallo!" greeting is a reference to Yui Yuigahama's "Yahello!", the anime adaptation of which has the same character artist as Miko's original model.
    • The background shown in her casual outfit reveal is ripped straight from VR Dating Sim VR Kanojo. The full stream has her talking about how she picked it out herself.
  • Transplant: Originally an independent Vtuber under Cover Corp's Sakura Miko Project, she was later transferred to the Hololive brand around the debut time of GAMERS.
  • Your Size May Vary: Miko has had multiple given heights in the past Depending on the Artist, ranging from 153, to 156 and 157cm. The official height chart and her bio give her a definite value of being 152cm tall.

    Not sure
  • Art Shift: When she collabs with other hololive members, her guests tend to use their 3D model instead of their usual appearance, presumably for consistency's sake as Miko is one of the few members who's been 3D since her debut. Some examples of this include her A Way Out playthrough with Korone and her GTA Online sessions with Suisei. probably a stream only thing?
  • Ascended Fanboy:
    • As a fan of Eroge games, along with Marine and AZKi, did a song for a visual novel called Aikiss 2.
    • In collaboration with well-known eroge studio ALcot she got her own short visual novel, Sakura-iro Dreamer, based on her life before she joined Hololive.
  • Catchphrase: Her signature "Nyahello", which is inspired from Yui Yuigahama, only changing it from the original "Ya-hello". not sure if this is stream only
  • Characterization Marches On: When she first debuted, Miko was supposedly a pure, soft-spoken and polite (if lazy) shrine maiden sent by the Virtual Gods to our world to become an idol, and through that learn of popular culture to enrich the realm where she came from. Somewhere down the line, she gradually drifted away from that description and became the foul-mouthed Comedic Sociopath Womanchild she is today, with no further mention of her mission from her Master. The only remaining traces of her original self are the name and her cat Kintoki, who has largely been Demoted to Extra. leaning no, this is basically "oops i forgot i had a kayfabe"
  • Continuity Nod: The Holo Graffiti episode "Help! I'll be Burned!" revolves around Ayame egging on Miko with a lava bucket. not sure, the nod is to a stream moment that became memetic
  • Engrish: Her grasp of the English language leaves a lot to be desired. The 35P humorously refer to her brand of English as "Elite English". the scripted examples can probably stay
    • One of her more infamous moments is the butchering of Queen's "We Will Rock You".
    • In an English telephone game, she would have single-handedly sabotaged her team's attempts at succeeding if not for Choco.
    • Her 15 minute stream with Coco about the Statue of Liberty (which Miko translates as "Freedom Lady") goes off the rails during the 2nd part where Miko's goal is to ask Coco (who is a humanoid dragon) "to fly me to the top of the Statue of Liberty". After initially making progress and almost getting Coco to understand correctly, Miko blurts out "Butterfly, patapatta top!" This massively confuses Coco to the point where Coco starts to think Miko wants to jump OFF the top of the Statue to kill herself. This confusion lasts almost 5 minutes with Coco becoming increasingly disturbed and Miko not understanding in English the concept of "killing yourself", which results to a confused Miko screaming "WHAT THE FUCK!" at Coco. Eventually Coco figures out the "Fly vs Butterfly" confusion and explains it to Miko.
    • She once interpreted Moona's questions about breeding Miko's captured villagers in Minecraft as Moona asking Miko to bear her children.
    • During her stream of Among Us with English speaking fans, she misspelled "sus" as "sws". She basically just runs with this, to the point where new players are using the spelling themselves. She also largely communicates in "No", "Elite" and "FAQ".
    • On another telephone game that included some hololive EN members, she still butchered pretty much every phrase passed to her.
Amelia: (to Miko) I like to drink hot chocolate and ice skate in winter. What about you?
Miko: (to Gura) I rike wink hot choco-late I skay winner whabowyou?
Gura: Uhh... one more time, please...?
Miko: (now enunciating every word louder) I rike dorinku hot chocolay and... ice skay winter... with you.
  • Game Mod: Around May 2021, Miko had good time installing various Miko-themed mods on her Minecraft game like MikoP villagers and Miko-faced Ghasts.
  • Goroawase Number:
    • 35 ("mi-ko"). Her fanbase is accordingly referred to as "35P/MikoP", and incidentally, her birthday is on March 5, making it her Arc Number of sorts. Her Superchat donations are also typically in amounts that refer to this.
    • 45 ("shi-ko"). Like Miko herself, the 35Ps will occasionally engage in perverted antics when playing games with her on stream. These fans are referred to as 45P or ShikoP.
  • His Name Really Is "Barkeep": A miko named "Miko".
  • In-Series Nickname: Mikochi, a combination of her name and "-chi", a deliberate mispronunciation of the "-chan" honorific. not sure if this is a stream only thing
  • Jaw Drop: Her first model has a triangle-shaped mouth expression during moments of Stunned Silence, which fans made into an emoticon ・△・ and was also the basis of her Grand Theft Auto Online crew emblem. Downplayed in that it's not over-the-top, but it's still rather distinctive. Her "2.0" model still has the triangle mouth expression (much to Miko and her fans' joy), but she has to do it deliberately.
  • Miko: The clue is in the name. Admittedly, she has become considerably less miko-like as time goes on due to a combination of Art Evolution and her taking the brakes off of her childish antics. Her Shinto shrine-themed imagery seem to have been largely cast to one side as an Early-Installment Weirdness. would've been under the "probably okay" folder if not for everything after the Exactly What It Says on the Tin wick
  • Ragdoll Physics: Her casual 3D model seems to possess rather...weird ragdolling issues. glitches don't strike me as tropeworthy
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Taiyaki. It's one of the few things that remained to this day of her original character concept when she debuted. honestly don't know enough about her lore to know if someone's just plain bullshitting this
  • Two First Names: Both of her names can be used as given names for girls in Japan. seems like a ZCE

AZKi

    Real life troping (done)

Stream-only shenanigans, stuff not explicitly about an avatar or their lore, misc. things of that nature (done)
  • The Ageless: Claims to be forever 18 years-old. When interviewed by Kiara in Holotalk, she also adds that she's on Season 3, which is suspsciously similar to Marine's claim of being "17 season 3" on her birthday not even days prior to the Holotalk episode; something Kiara pokes fun at.
    Kiara: Uh, that seems familiar...
keep for now
  • Covert Pervert: On her April 2022 call in stream, Choco-sensei did her usual teasing, only for AZKi not only accept it but escalate it.
  • Et Tu, Brute?: On her first ever round as imposter in her first Among Us collab, the first person she kills is none other than her frequent collab partner, Sora.
  • Gamer Chick: She likes playing open-world games with no set story lines or endings. Many of the other Hololive members mention encountering her frequently in Rust and she's so high-level that she's been described as the HoloRust server's hidden boss. Unfortunately, her rig cannot handle both playing and streaming it at the same time, which is why her POV is never shown.
  • Gratuitous English: As her collab with Sora for Overcooked! 2 shows, while AZKi does not speak English very well she uses quite a few of English words in the midst of her otherwise casual Japanese speech, including "nice", "time (up)", and "panick".
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: During Sora's 20th year birthday stream, Azki sends a congratulatory video which entirely consists of her recalling their experiences together, from their first meeting, how she asked Sora for a permission to be less formal (adding "-chan" to Sora's name as opposed to "-senpai") and how she loves every bit of their time together as SorAz Unit (how their collab is officialy named). She ends the video with a personal joke which gets a chuckle out of Sora, but it does highlight how casual their relationship is, as well as how AZKi does not want to be 'merely' Sora's junior.
  • Marry Them All: She follows in Nene's example when confronted with the waifu question.
  • Not So Above It All: Despite being one of the group's foremost idols, she's not as "pure" as that would suggest; She is pretty free with swearing (as detailed below) and is not above a bit of trolling and memeing on others.
  • Out of Focus: For the longest time, AZKi mostly worked on music production rather than streaming, and would disappear for weeks at a time with MV releases in between. This has bred a number of misconceptions about her. She has made a resolution on her first stream after joining Hololive proper to do singing collabs with every member, suggesting more streams/presence in the coming months.

Probably okay (lore, character design, scripted content)
  • Costume Evolution: On February 23, 2021, she debuted her third outfit and hairstyle which gives her a more "idol" look as opposed to her usual "virtual diva" appearance. While she doesn't primarily use the second model since her redesign, it's also been updated to look visually consistent with her new look on the occasions she wears it.
  • The Diva: Unlike the others, she's marketed as a "Virtual Diva" and as such, she has some of the stylings (more sensual and provocative). Her personality doesn't fit the typical expectation however. the personality bit could probably be axed
  • Evil Twin: Has one that debuted in this music video, which takes the form of her classic design, but with a darker color-scheme and Supernatural Gold Eyes.
  • Facial Markings: A constant with her designs is those thick red stripes beneath her eyes. Her third design still keeps them but they are much smaller and under the corner of her eyes. She noticeably sheds them the moment she reveals during her 7th live concert that she has diverged from her original path (which was to graduate in July 2022) and has engaged into a new future thanks to all the support she received.
  • Fun Size: After getting her third outfit, she later got a chibi model she occasionally brings out during pre- or post-concert. Her concert with Mizushina Aoi shows that she is tiny when assuming this form.
  • Idol Singer: One of hololive's original idols, having been there since the start working under Inonaka Music. She's more committed to it than fellow singers Sora and Suisei, given that her channel has next to no Let's Play content and has the highest number of 3D concerts, though later in her career she does her first gaming stream alongside Sora, and starting with 2021, she made a resolution to stream at least once a week, which includes more collab Gaming streams such as Minecraft and Among Us.
  • Massive Multiplayer Crossover: Hosted a 48-hour music program twice with videos from hundreds of VTubers. Playlists of the first and second events.
  • Meaningful Name: The meaning of her name can be traced back to her first album's flagship song, "without U". AZKi, when pronounced in katakana, becomes "Azuki" (which means "red beans" in Japanese and goes with her theme), but "AZKi" does not contain the "u" letter, hence the album's name. She then reveals in her Holotalk session with Kiara that the reverse is also true; in other words, "Azuki" without "u" becomes "AZKi".
  • Stripperific: Her first and second outfits showcase quite a lot of skin. The latter, while technically covered up the most due to her large trench coat, is particularly egregious in how AZKi appears almost naked without it.
  • Transplant: Like Miko and Suisei before her, AZKi was originally introduced as part of a separate project from Hololive proper, before being transferred in as a conventional idol. Hers was INoNaKa Music, which Suisei also used to be part of before her own transplanting into Hololive occurred, leaving AZKi as the label's sole remaining member until April 2022, where she too was folded into Gen 0 as an official member.
  • Tamer and Chaster: Her more "idol-like" outfit and redesign, in contrast to her two other "diva-like" outfits, is comparatively more modest in design.
  • Uniformity Exception: Unlike every other talent's live concert outfit, which is predominantly white with a side colour representing their theme, AZKi's is predominantly black while keeping the same overall design. This is a reference to the fact that AZKi was affiliated to INoNaKa Music rather than the main hololive branch until the merge in December 2019.

    Not sure
  • But Now I Must Go: Ultimately Subverted. The AZKi project was originally planned to end in July 2022 with AZKi's graduation, but with the newfound support she has received from her fans, it was decided that the project would go on to "change routes" and continue on beyond the original end goal. This was cemented with AZKi moving into hololive officially, joining the "0th Generation" on April 1st 2022, ahead of INoNaKa Music's cessation of operation later that month.
  • Catchphrase: "Ping-Pong-Pang-Pong" which AZKi often recites before or after giving an announcement, referring to typical Japanese announcer sound effect.
  • Precision F-Strike: AZKi is not shy about inserting profanity in her works. the superchat example is probably the only nontropeworthy one here
