    Zetsu

The Uncorrupted Workaholic

"And you do realize that if those contestants, one of which is my girlfriend, are dead, then you’ll be in some deep trouble with the law."
An employee at Loser Isle, who primarily runs management and cleaning, and Tempest's boyfriend.
  • Ascended Extra: Originally was planned to only make one appearance in the whole series(episode 18), but his surprising popularity and people finding his relationship with Tempest cute had the writer reconsider.
    • He officially becomes the new host of the series as of Total Xtreme Action.
  • Deadpan Snarker: One of the more effective examples despite being so quiet.
  • The Dog Bites Back: After having dealt with the hosts and their shit all season, he finally snaps after learning they want him to make up a story to cover up the contestant's presumed deaths in episode 24. In response to them asking, he traps them in his office, and forms a search party on his own to save the contestants and his girlfriend.
    • Along with Doc and Barkeep, Zetsu has a hand in getting Dragonite and Tyranitar arrested.
  • Odd Friendship: With The Stoic Zeon and The Anti-Nihilist Doc.
  • Official Couple: With Tempest.
  • Only Sane Man: About on par with Izaya in terms of sanity, only unlike Izaya, he doesn't actively partake in violence.
  • Opposites Attract: Ended up falling for Big Bad Wannabe Tempest.
  • Savvy Guy, Energetic Girl: The Savvy Guy to Tempest's Energetic Girl.
  • Straight Man: To both his co-workers and Tempest.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Episode 24 of TXI has him go through this, standing up to his bosses, forming his own search party against direct orders, and assisting in the rescue of Izaya.
  • Uptight Loves Wild: Seems to have completely fallen for Tempest, despite the fact on the first day they met, she basically kidnapped him.

    Doc

The Opposite Paragon

"S-Sure! I do feel quite a bit of things towards you...But, I really don’t get why you want to be with me of all people. I’m just that weird guy most people talk to because they need something fixed."
An employee at Loser Isle, who primarily runs the medical bay and repair shop, who has a habit of saying the opposite of what he means.
  • Ambiguously Bi: Currently in a relationship with Mimi, but as revealed in episode 22 of TXI, he doesn't hate the attention he gets from Monsoon and the native wild Pokemon, and even winks at them suggestively. He also never reacts to any gay insults thrown his way, seemingly just accepting them and nodding his head.
  • Anime Hair: Word of God confirms that if he was a human, he'd have a variation of this.
  • The Anti-Nihilist: He basically thinks everything about the world sucks in every way...And he loves every moment of living on it.
  • Ascended Extra: Was originally planned to only appear in one episode(episode 20), but his sheer popularity helped him appear in nearly every episode in some variation after.
    • Became the co-host of the series starting with Total Xtreme Action.
  • Birds of a Feather: With Mimi. Both are rather awkward, socially lacking weirdos, who basically stand out as outcasts among the cast. The fact that they're so willing to support each other through this is ultimately how they develop feelings for each other.
  • Cannot Spit It Out: He has trouble telling Mimi the way he actually feels, and even after both their feelings are out in the open, Doc struggles to actually kindle the flame. Luckily she ends up making the first move for him, thus making this a bit easier.
  • Cloud Cuckoo Lander: Can come across as this due to his odd speech pattern.
  • Everyone Can See It: Couples with his Ship Tease moments with Mimi.
  • Heroic Comedic Sociopath: Slips into this in his weirder moments.
  • Hidden Depths: Revealed to have the singing voice of an angel in episode 22 of TXI.
  • Just Friends: He claims that him and Mimi are this. Episode 25 of TXI reveals that both do indeed have feelings for one another, but Doc worries what'll happen if they get together.
  • Nice Guy: Oddly enough, he's probably the nicest character on the entire show. He just sucks at showing it.
  • No Social Skills: Has basically no idea on how to talk to others effectively, due to speaking with opposite terms.
    • Also seems to get along quite well with Team Mom Kanaya and Shrinking Violet Mimi, even being implied to have a crush on the latter.
  • Official Couple: With Mimi.
  • Opposite Day: It's this everyday for him. He gets better though, since he can at least control some of his phrasing.
  • The Paragon: The definition of this while being really hard to talk to.
  • Plucky Comic Relief: Or at least he's this among the staff.
  • Shipper on Deck: Very clearly loves teasing Zetsu about Tempest, but also shows himself to be a hardcore shipper for the two's relationship.
  • Ship Tease: With Mimi.
  • Silly Rabbit, Cynicism Is for Losers!: At least he has this view, which is odd once you realize he actually talks as if he's The Cynic.
  • Sir Swears-a-Lot: He easily has among the worst mouths in the series.
  • Their First Time: Loses his virginity to his long-time girlfriend Mimi in episode 2 of Total Xtreme Action.
  • Twice Shy: With Doc.

    Zeon

The Stoic Casanova

"I lost a bet, so get to work before they notice us."
An employee at Loser Isle, who primarily picks up eliminated contestants to bring them to the resort, and a friend of Dragonite and Tyranitar's.
  • All Men Are Perverts: The most perverted and stereotypically interested in women of the cast.
  • Ascended Extra: Has become a supporting character of Total Xtreme Action.
  • Flat Character: Doesn't have a ton of personality compared to his co-workers.
  • Hate Sink: While we don't learn much about him as a whole, what we do often learn about him portrays him as a disgusting pervert who constantly cheats on his wife and slacks off on the job.
  • Jerkass: He's the biggest one among the employees at least.
  • Odd Friendship: With Zetsu and The Anti-Nihilist Doc. Though both of them do question how they're friends with the guy.
  • Really Gets Around: Slept with every female teenage intern back on Loser Isle.
  • The Slacker: Puts no effort into doing much of anything besides sleeping with women.
  • The Stoic: He hates to express his emotions.

    Barkeep

The "Big Brother"

"Dear girl, don’t you know. I’m always watching."
An employee at Loser Isle, who primarily runs catering and running the main bar of the island.
  • Arc Villain: For the final three episodes of Total Xtreme Island.
  • Ascended Extra: Went from a singular scene appearance to gaining a personality in Episode 24 of TXI.
  • The Bartender: His job on Loser Isle.
  • Big Bad: Revealed to have been the editor of the season, the person who created every painful challenge, and has been secretly filming everything on Loser Isle and on the normal island. He uses this to blackmail his co-workers whenever he wants, and also created a master plan to get both Dragonite and Tyranitar arrested. As of Total Xtreme Action, he takes a much more focused role in the plot, all while remaining his shady, mostly in the shadows self.
  • Big Brother Is Watching: A parody/self-invoked version of this.
  • Breakout Villain: Only served as an Arc Villain for the final three episodes of Total Xtreme Island, but has become the official Big Bad of the series as of Total Xtreme Action.
  • The Cynic: Has a generally apathetic and uncaring view on the world and the people in it.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Everything he says sounds like this.
  • Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": We never learn his real name.
  • Evil Genius: Easily the smartest character on the show as a whole. Also among the most cruel and sadistic.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: He has plans to take control of everyone on the show, whether they know it or not.
  • Knight of Cerebus: It should be noted that no matter who they are, all five of the primary contestant antagonists were still capable of delivering amusing scenes and lightening up the mood a little. But Barkeep is the exact opposite. He's a cruel, uncaring sociopath with little to no care for much of anything, not even himself, and completely lacks any of the amusing qualities the other villains presented. He carelessly and effortlessly with traumatize and torture others through his own mind games, as he just sits back and does little but drink his own brand of alcohol. He will hurt anyone he wants and is more than capable of ruining anyone's life if he wanted to. He's a disturbing sight that makes every scene he's involved with feel grim and depressing, or like it's all about to take a turn for the worst.
  • Organ Theft: Has apparently committed this enough times to warn Brick that he'll do the same to him if he faints in the hotel.
  • Slasher Smile: Revealed to have this at the end of episode 25, where we see him smile properly for the first and only time.
  • The Sociopath: Has every symptom in the book.
  • Token Evil Teammate: The only truly evil employee among the staff, and the Big Bad of the series as a whole.
  • The Trickster: An evil variation.
  • Wild Card: He almost entirely does his own thing since he knows he can get away with it.

    Tempest Joust

The Imaginative Slayer

"I am Tempest Joust, slayer of monsters and demons everywhere, and I shall take home my glory!"

Total Xtreme Island Placement : 2nd

Tempest is a eccentric Joltik who delusionally views everything as a fantasy. She's a poetic and self taught ninja, she claims to have the ability of teleportation. Pessimistic, cynical and edgy, however, indirectly some could see her as both comical and over the top. Tempest is a loner who has the habit to "hmph" and "tch" her speech, she is dark and sinister yet she considers ridiculous stuff like toilet papering people's house to be a work of pure evil. Tends to laugh joyfully when amused and she does things without permission. She also uses bribery to her advantage as she offered Tyranitar a single waffle in order to sign herself in the middle of the show. Doesn't click well with rules and if anything she tends to break them because doing that equals evil, went angry she will stomp jump up and down with frustration in a childish manner. She's super fast and it is almost impossible to hit her physically.

  • Ax-Crazy: Or at least she comes across as it.
  • Badass Boast: Literally everything she says contains at least some of this.
  • Big Bad Wannabe: She thinks she's the most evil contestant on the island...She really isn't anything more than a harmless little spider.
  • Blood Knight: She loves fighting!
  • Calling Your Attacks: Does this occasionally.
  • Card-Carrying Villain: She loves to brag about her amoral conquest to take control of the world.
  • Character Development: While subtle, Tempest truly learns to respect the others over the course of the season, and does seem to care about them on some level. Best shown in episode 22 when Tempest refuses to do anything before saying the captured contestants.
  • Cloud Cuckoo Lander: The biggest in the series by far.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: Not only do her attacks do a surprisingly large amount of damage, but she has the best record battle wise of the entire cast(shared with Izaya), and has proved herself to actually be pretty capable on her own, winning immunity or being safe at three out of the four merge challenges so far, which means she's the contestant who has actually won the most challenges of the entire cast.
  • Final Boss: The antagonist of the series, meaning she's finally achieved her goal of becoming the true evil of the series, even if she's still the most liked of the villains among the cast by far.
  • Harmless Villain: Despite all of her claims, she really isn't one to be taken seriously threat-wise.
  • Ineffectual Sympathetic Villain: Almost comes across as this at times.
  • Large Ham: The HAMMIEST contestant on the entire show!
  • Manic Pixie Dream Girl: Acts as this to Zetsu.
  • Not-So-Harmless Villain: Revealed to actually be pretty damn powerful with her electric attacks.
  • Odd Friendship: With Memetic Molester Hyde.
  • Official Couple: With Zetsu.
  • Savvy Guy, Energetic Girl: The Energetic Girl to Zetsu's Savvy Guy.
  • Underdogs Never Lose: While she hasn't won the entire game yet, it's still pretty impressive that a bug so tiny has won the most challenges of the entire cast.
  • When She Smiles: After losing the finale, she's comforted by Zetsu. And during this, she allows the first genuine smile on her face since she joined, and it's...Actually adorable.

    Mimi Sandhu

The Reserved Anti-Social

"Are you speaking in the opposite way of what you mean?"

Total Xtreme Island Placement : 24th

  • Beautiful All Along: While we never got details, most of the cast generally didn't consider Mimi an appealing sight, and thus she adapted the same opinion. Though, Doc seems to see something else there, as he tells her that he finds her beautiful.
  • Birds of a Feather: With Mimi. Both are rather awkward, socially lacking weirdos, who basically stand out as outcasts among the cast. The fact that they're so willing to support each other through this is ultimately how they develop feelings for each other.
  • Cloud Cuckoo Lander: Becomes an offscreen example in episode 4 of TXI after kidnapping some of the cast. Got better after spending time of Loser Isle though.
  • Heel–Face Turn: By the loser episode, she's lost most of her more negative traits, and is trying to apologize for her actions on the island.
  • I Just Want to Have Friends: And she finally finds her first real one in Doc, the Loser Isle mechanic and resident doctor.
  • Informed Attribute: She is apparently a yandere for Pikachus, but we never see any evidence of this on-screen. Though, there might be more there than on first look...
  • Nice Girl: Ultimately revealed to be this in the loser episodes. Or at least she's trying to be one.
  • Non-Gameplay Elimination: She ran off in the middle of the challenge in episode two, and due to her disappearance, she is considered to have been the official elimination that episode.
  • Official Couple: With Doc.
  • Out of Focus: We saw so little of her on screen, it should be no surprise that some people forgot she was even in the story until her sudden elimination in episode two. The Loser Isle episodes make up for this in plentiful doses though.
  • Ship Tease: With Doc.
  • Shrinking Violet: During the loser episodes, she has this kind of personality.
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: A possible reason for having a little bit of a thing for Doc.
  • Their First Time: Loses her virginity to her long-time boyfriend Doc in episode 2 of Total Xtreme Action.
  • Twice Shy: With Doc.

    Hazel Kingston

The Childish Magician

"I...I don’t know what to do now that father is watching me."

Total Xtreme Island Placement : 3rd

A young magician who is a smug and condescending. Thanks to his mother's praise he views himself as the world specialist snowflake. Hazel quotes the word magic a bunch as it is easy to get his interest by only saying magic. Because of his ego he can be incredibly childish, innocent and naive. Thanks for his dad's reputation as a famous magician and a outlaw some would mistake Hazel as a genius but in a twist he's rather idiotic, his logic makes no sense as it may come out of absolutely nowhere. Being emotional, Hazel can be sincere towards anyone who he considers a friend. Comically however, he's act evil toward everyone in an attempt to follow his father's footsteps. Hazel is surprisingly lucky, his luck is so unnatural that winning 3 prizes in a row wouldn't be a surprise to him, however it has backfired with some bad luck that can make him pull out the worst result possible, because of all the crazy things that happen around his life this would explain why his logic can be wild at times.
  • Abusive Parents: His father is downright cruel to him no matter what he does.
  • Attention Whore: His constant claims that he is a powerful spell caster, all while saying they should look up to him for his amazing "intelligence" pretty much confirms him as this right out of the gate.
  • Character Development: Probably one of the most noticeable, but over the course of the show, Hazel's It's All About Me attitude slowly begins to completely die off, and overtime becomes one of the nicest contestants. He also realizes just how much he depends on others, so he plans to finally start trying to grow up.
  • Cloud Cuckoo Lander: He is this in spades, with every episode only cementing him more and more as a mentally insane asshole. Though the asshole side to it is completely dropped by the merge.
  • Drama Queen: An unlikable male example. That is until his Heel–Face Turn.
  • Dirty Coward: Comes across as this to his teammates. Though he slowly becomes a Lovable Coward.
  • Heel–Face Turn: After Izaya's elimination, Hazel makes a vow to avenge him and keep Juvia safe.
  • Hidden Depths: His reaction to winning the "Fan-Favorite Contestant" award causes him to show some of this off while in the confessional.
  • Inferiority Superiority Complex: Episode 3 begins to peel back to layers of his It's All About Me attitude, and by episode 7, it's been revealed that it was basically this the whole time.
  • It's All About Me: Has this attitude towards everything. He's gotten better though.
  • Jerkass: He's an arrogant dumbass who often insults every other contestant. That is until he pulled a Heel–Face Turn. Then he became a...
    • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: While he still is an arrogant moron, he generally has become infinitely nicer to just about everyone in the game.
  • Large Ham: His general mannerisms and his ego cause him to come across as the largest example of any contestant.
  • The Load: He's more or less useless to his team due to his own ego and cowardice. Hell, even after he Took a Level in Kindness, he's still pretty useless.
  • Parental Neglect: His father constantly walked in and out on his family, and usually only came back to harass Hazel some more.
  • Platonic Life-Partners: With Juvia.
  • Small Name, Big Ego: Acts as this in spades.
  • The Social Darwinist: He considers himself superior to everyone else because of his "genius" and believing himself to be an amazing spell caster. He's called out on this quite a bit. He grows out of it.
  • True Companions: Forms this relationship with Izaya, Juvia, and Sage].
  • Took a Level in Kindness: After Izaya's elimination, he makes a vow to protect Juvia, and avenge Izaya. He only becomes a better person from there.

    Namami Juvia

The Curious Cloth

"But really, you know just as well as I do that someone else here needs your help more than me."

Total Xtreme Island Placement : 5th

  • All-Loving Hero: Shares this role with Kanaya.
  • Amnesiac Hero: She doesn't remember anything before meeting Izaya. She oddly doesn't seem concerned with finding out who she actually was though.
  • Berserk Button: Hurting anyone she cares about emotionally or physically in any way. Reyna finds this out the hard way after harming Izaya.
  • Break the Cutie: The merge was not kind to her in TXI.
  • Breakout Character: This was her debut appearance in the TPI community, and it ultimately cemented her and Izaya as one of the best couples in it as a whole for many.
  • Brooding Boy, Gentle Girl: The gentle girl to Izaya's brooding boy.
  • Character Development: After Devereux traumatized and tortured her, Juvia begins to finally open her eyes to just how cruel the world really is, and begins to grow steadily more intelligent over the course of the entire show, and begins to openly question multiple things around her. She's also noticeably become a bit more willing to stand up for herself and those she cares about as a whole. Never changes just how good of a person she is though.
  • Cloud Cuckoo Lander: During the pre-merge, at her worst she came across as this.
  • Covert Pervert: Defied, she actually has no idea what sex is, but is interested in learning about it, so she tries her best to learn as much about it as possible from her friends. It's usually awkward for everyone but her.
  • Ditzy Genius: Izaya claims that Juvia is this. It was proven in episode 5 of TXI, where it's revealed that she is a strategic genius.
  • Dumbass No More: As of episode 16 of TXI.
  • Easily Forgiven: It doesn't take long for Sage to completely forget Juvia didn't even bother to alert her teammates of the fact they were being kidnapped.
  • Fatal Flaw: Her own lack of knowledge of anything in the world.
  • The Ingenue: When she first arrived on the show, she was this. That is before she actually loses her virginity in episode 16, and while she still acts a little young for her age, she has grown up a great deal since the first episode.
  • Light Feminine and Dark Feminine: The light feminine to Ashley and Sage's dark feminine.
  • Locked Out of the Loop: The only contestant who isn't aware of what sex is, and nobody ever wants to tell her due to the mere awkwardness of the question.
  • Morality Pet: Acts as this to Izaya.
  • Nice Girl: The only genuine one of her entire team.
  • Odd Friendship: With Sage...Or maybe they aren't as close as Sage thought, considering Juvia points out how she has never ONCE supported her when she needed a friend most. But, as of episode 23's official Heel–Face Turn for her, the two are once again back to being close friends.
  • Official Couple: With Izaya.
  • Parental Abandonment: She never met her real parents. Or at least, she doesn't remember them.
  • Platonic Life-Partners: With Hazel.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Gives a pretty harsh one to Sage in episode 18 of TXI.
  • Senseless Sacrifice: She offers herself as a the one voted off in episode 23 in order to give Sage another chance at the money. Then Sage gets eliminated next episode due to having too serious of injuries to continue playing.
  • Shipper on Deck: She honestly thinks Isaac and Yu are a couple, and fully supports it.
  • Smarter Than You Look: Proven to be a strategic genius in episode five.
  • Their First Time: Her and Izaya have sex in episode 16. Prior to that, they were both virgins.
  • Took a Level in Badass: After Devereux tortured her mentally and physically.
  • Tomboy and Girly Girl: The girly girl to Sage's tomboy.
  • True Companions: Forms this with Sage and Hazel.
  • Virginity Makes You Stupid: Prior to the show, Juvia was a virgin, and when she joined, she was generally seen as the dumbest contestant, or at least the most naive.
  • Wasn't That Fun?: Seems to enjoy most of the challenges due to her own lack of knowledge on each of them.
  • We Used to Be Friends: With Sage, until they redeveloped their connection in episode 23.
  • With Friends Like These...: Sage doesn't really support her or help her whenever she's not okay. Juvia calls her out for this in episode 18. But, as of episode 23's official Heel–Face Turn for her, the two are once again back to being close friends.

Former Staff

    Colton "Dragonite"

The Host in the Closet

"And you can always get a new girlfriend, one who isn’t crazy."
  • Alas, Poor Villain: He is arrested in the Total Xtreme Island finale alongside Tyranitar.
  • Armoured Closet Gay: He's gay, but don't expect him to admit that easily.
  • Bad Boss: Hinted at being this throughout the show.
  • Berserk Button:
    • He has very little patience for Tyranitar's addiction to waffles, and often insults him if he eats them during challenges.
    • Players getting snarky at him as earned quite a few death glares.
    • Acting like a moron is a quick way to piss him off.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Though he only really acts like one towards Tyranitar. Otherwise, he's just a massive prick.
  • Dirty Coward: Tries to cover up the contestant's presumed deaths in episode 24 of TXI so he wouldn't face the consequences.
  • The Dreaded: Everyone is unanimously against him and scared of what challenges he'll put them through next. Mostly because almost all of them are either disgusting, or incredibly dangerous, or BOTH!
  • First Love: Revealed to have been Tyranitar.
  • Game Show Host: The primary host of the show.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: Almost anyone can set him off it seems.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Tyranitar, though they may be more after all.
  • Jerkass: Acts as one towards everyone on the Terrifying Tyranitars, and towards his own team when they lose.
  • Kick the Dog: Trying to cover up the contestant's presumed deaths in episode 24 of TXI so he wouldn't have to take responsibility for their deaths.
  • Love Confession: Towards Tyranitar in the finale of TXI.

    Tyson "Tyranitar"

The Waffle Obsession

"Alright...Let’s go kick those pancake loving jerks off our island!"
  • Alas, Poor Villain: He is arrested in the Total Xtreme Island finale alongside Dragonite.
  • Author Avatar: Delta has admitted to acting very similarly to Tyranitar.
  • Bad Boss: Hinted at.
  • Big Eater: Is seen eating at random moments in pretty much every episode.
  • Cloud Cuckoo Lander: You can't help but question his sanity at times. Though this seems to have mellowed out over time.
  • Dirty Coward: Tries to cover up the contestant's presumed deaths in episode 24 of TXI so he wouldn't face the consequences.
  • The Ditz: One of the dumbest contestants on the show.
  • First Love: Revealed to have been Dragonite.
  • Game Show Host: The secondary host of the show.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Dragonite, hough they may be more after all.
  • Jerkass: While not as bad as Dragonite, he's still a pretty huge dick to the contestants.

  • Large Ham: Especially compared to Dragonite.
  • The Slacker: During episode 17's challenge, instead of actually hunting contestants, he spends the first half sitting back and just eating waffles.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Waffles

Contestants

Major Protagonists

    Brick Dragmire

The Aggressive Brickhouse

"Heh...I told you...I’d win."

Total Xtreme Island Placement : 1st

Brick can be...Well, tough as bricks. He is a very straightforward and competitive due to his fighting nature. He likes to win and he likes to keep winning. If he loses.... He loses his temper a little, but he is a good sport if he doesn't let the anger control him. Under that tough exterior of winning, Brick is a nice guy who can care about the people around him, even to the point of love if he can get himself there, but due his home life his anger can take the better of him if he doesn't control it.
  • Anti-Hero: He constantly seems to switch on which side he's truly on, due to his own issues with playing the game to win, but still wanting to keep some of his friends after the game.
  • Badass Boast: Expect QUITE a few of these...Per episode.
  • The Big Guy: Of the Dangerous Dragonites overall.
  • Blood Knight: Besides Tempest, he's the second biggest example on the show. Which only makes it more fitting when they're the ones up against one another in the finale.
  • Character Development: At the beginning of the season, Brick treated almost everyone like shit while doing little but winning challenges. By the end, he's actually made some real connections, protected Hazel throughout most of the finale, and ultimately even found someone he related to and cared about on a personal level in Reyna. Yeah, hard time believing THAT would happen.
  • Competition Freak: Acknowledged as this in episode three, and he actually ends up agreeing.
  • Demoted to Extra: Went from being the winner of Island to not returning at all in Action.
  • Fatal Flaw: His rather aggressive style of playing the game.
  • Heel–Face Revolving Door: Brick has never truly found an alignment within the game. Due to the scenarios constantly changing around him and having to deal with new drama every other day, Brick just as often ends up being a decent person, but also just as often can serve as an Arc Villain for an episode.
  • Jerkass: He comes across as rude, arrogant, loud-mouthed, crude, and downright sexist at times.
    • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He does know the difference between right and wrong, and ultimately, by the loser episode, he seems to have completely fallen into this role.
  • The Lancer: Acts as the main example of this towards Ace.
  • Lovable Jock: While he is very competitive, he overall does have a good heart and knows when to treat others with respect. He just has a REALLY hard time showing it. Occasionally lapses into Jerk Jock territory.
  • Official Couple: With Reyna.
  • Sole Survivor: The winner of Total Xtreme Island!

    Isaac Burtham

The Emotionally Unstable

"I wouldn’t be surprised if any of you just left for your own selfish reasons, because that’s honestly been a recent trend going on lately."

Total Xtreme Island Placement : 6th

Isaac is cheerful, optimistic, and empathetic. He loves to have fun (Arceus knows he never had much of that for the first eleven years of his life.), appreciates and makes jokes every now and then, and doesn’t like focusing on the depressing side of things since that’s ‘never done me any good’. If someone starts telling their sad story or problem, then he’ll do his best to lend an ear and empathize. He tends to be a bit protective of those who’re shy and/or nervous. He’ll take insults with a grain of salt, but if something hits too close to home (main keywords are mom, unwanted, and useless), his cheerfulness will fade a little. Continuous insults of the like will cause him to become upset, and retort bitterly and sarcastically. He also doesn’t like sharing his own sad story unless it’s someone he really trusts, or used as an empathizing point. During his travels, he had come to values loyalty and trustworthiness the most. He’ll react scathingly in the face of betrayal, but will be willing to give the ‘mon another chance if they seemed to be genuinely regretful. In the event he finds love, he’ll act romantically/affectionately (but not to the point where it becomes unbearable to everyone else). He’ll also act rather protective of him/her. However, he does not believe in the term ‘love at first sight’, and will want to get to know the Pokemon first before committing.
  • Abusive Parents: His mother really screwed up his brain with everything she did to him.
  • All-Loving Hero: Or at least he tries his hardest to be one.
  • Ambiguously Bi: He is hinted at having a crush on Yu, but he still seems to be attracted to women. By the finale of TXI, his crush on Yu has basically been all but confirmed, and he has been confirmed as bisexual through Word of God.
  • Character Development: Begins to go through a Moral Dilemma that causes him to start openly questioning morality as a whole. By the end of the show, Isaac has clearly grown wiser, but is shown to still try his hardest to be a Nice Guy.
  • Crossdresser: His mother ended up turning him into a type of this, due to her wanting a daughter.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Revealed to have one in episode three.
  • Friend-or-Idol Decision: Starts going through one after Max's Face–Heel Turn.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: Has this kind of relationship with Yu. Though there might be more on Isaac's side of the interactions than Yu knows.
  • It's All My Fault: Isaac feels guilty for voting off Yu. They seem to have repaired their relationship by episode 16 of TXI.
  • Mistaken for Gay: His entire team was basically convinced him and Yu were in a relationship until Yu left.
  • Nice Guy: He's generally a nice guy to be around.
  • Third-Option Love Interest: Despite Yu already having a crush on Reyna and being attracted to Giselle, Isaac acts as the tertiary secret love interest as of episode three.
  • Took a Level in Cynic: Starts in Episode 12, where Isaac is depressed that everyone on his team is distancing themselves due to Hyde and some drama. Continues to persist in all future episodes, but seems to be countered by the end of his elimination episode.

    Kanaya Wells

The Motherly Shipper

"Sally, sometimes love is just different with different people. I’m sure you’ll come across someone so weird, yet so lovable that you can tolerate it."

  • All-Loving Hero: Shares this role with Juvia.
  • Covert Pervert: Tempest reveals in episode 19 that she has a huge supply of porn under her bed.
  • Glamorous Single Mother: Not a real mother, but comes across as this due to how she cares for her team.
  • The Heart: Due to her Team Mom status, she is essentially this for her entire team.
  • The Matchmaker:
    • A large amount of her pre-merge time is spent on getting Jet and Sally together.
    • Episode 25 has a large focus point being Kanaya trying to convince Doc and Mimi that they return their feelings to one another.
  • My Greatest Second Chance: Returns for the second season.
  • Odd Friendship:
  • Porn Stash: Revealed to have one in episode 19.
  • Shipper on Deck:
    • After mistaking them for a couple in episode two, she has become one for Isaac and Yu.
    • By episode five, she pretty much ships everyone on her team to a very creepy extent.
    • Jet and Sally were very heavily shipped by her, until she realized how awful of a boyfriend Jet is.
    • Doc and Mimi are probably the best example though. The SECOND the two just started casually talking, and were getting along well, she started shipping them to quite an insane extent.
  • Team Mom: Pretty much treats every contestant in the game as if they were her kid, and everyone is fine with that.
  • Token Good Teammate: Of her original team.

    Kashiwagi Izaya

The Shady Survivor

"In an odd way, I always knew I'd die in fire, but I usually thought it’d more than likely be gunfire than anything. Eh, whatever though, same old same old. If I'm gonna die, I'm not gonna think about that shitty life while doing so. If I'm about to leave this world, may as well remember the better parts of it."

Total Xtreme Action Placement : TBA

  • Anti-Villain: While he is sarcastic asshole 95% of the time, he only joined the show for Juvia's best interests, as he wanted to her get out more and make some real friends.
  • Badass Bookworm: He's actually a pretty big fan of reading. Word of God has also confirmed that he has nearly killed people with books before. Apparently the guy can make anything into a deadly weapon.
  • Bad Liar: Or at least he is while around Juvia. Probably why he never really does lie.
  • Berserk Button: He can't stand it when others underestimate Juvia's intelligence.
  • Big Eater: As revealed when Hazel starts bringing him food, the guy can eat a LOT of food without being winded even slightly.
  • Big Good: Organized a rescue part for the contestants of TXI after Gareth tries to kill everyone.
  • Big Guy: Of the cast as a whole. He's the' tallest contestant, among the largest in size, and also among the most dangerous to fight.
  • Blood Knight: Word of God has confirmed that Izaya's a sadist, and actually enjoys hurting people and seeing them get hurt. He just knows how to hide it well.
  • Brooding Boy, Gentle Girl: The brooding boy to Juvia's gentle girl.
  • Brutal Honesty: While he may be a sarcastic prick, he definitely isn't a liar. Hell, he's probably one of the most honest contestants on the show.
  • Card Sharp: Certainly knows his way around the deck.
  • Deadpan Snarker: The biggest one on the show by a large margin. Seriously, pretty much every line of his is just full of snark.
  • Death Dealer: He has several times used a sharpened stack of them as his signature weapon.
  • Even Morally Ambiguous Bats Have Standards: The second that Hyde, someone who is practically a pedophile, is moved onto his team, he immediately says they should get rid of him.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Pulls one in episode 24 of TXI in order to save Hazel from dying in a burning building. Unlike most examples though, he actually survived!
  • Insecure Love Interest: He's actually revealed to have quite the inferiority complex, believing himself to not be worth Juvia or anyone else's company due to his Jerkass attitude and dangerous lifestyle. This is actually a major reason why he constantly pushes people away, since he's worried that if people get close to him, they'll end up getting stuck with him.
  • Jerkass: He's a sarcastic prick who is only kind to Juvia. But...
    • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: While he may not be the nicest guy in the world, he joined the show purely to help Juvia with her anti-social problems, and treats her with the utmost respect and love despite her lack of intelligence. Hell, he even goes out of his way just to make sure that she retains as much of her innocence as possible.
  • Kill It with Fire: Almost dies due to this.
  • Morality Pet: Juvia acts as this for him. Hazel and Sage become this for him later on.
  • My Greatest Second Chance: Returns for the second season.
  • Not Afraid to Die: In episode 24 of TXI, when all hope seems lost and he knows he's gonna die...He decides that he may as well die remembering the people he grew to care about, and most likely would Go Out with a Smile. But, then he survives!
  • Not Quite Gone: Episode 16 reveals that Izaya has actually been hiding out on the island ever since his elimination, keeping an eye on Juvia in order to make sure she's safe.
  • Official Couple: With Juvia.
  • Only Sane Man: Even after ALL of the stuff he has done on the show, including severely beating a contestant half to death, camping out on an island for a few weeks without supplies, and a lack of moral care, he's STILL the most sane contestant on the show.
  • Papa Wolf: Towards Sage and the boys who go after her.
  • Parental Neglect: His father was rarely if ever around before his sudden death, and his mother was often too stressed with work to ever pay him any mind herself. As far as he's concerned, he doesn't consider his parents anyone worth caring about if they didn't care enough to raise him.
  • Parental Substitute: Serves as this for both Hazel and Sage by the end of TXI. Sage even mocks this.
  • Sadist: Word of God confirmed him as one.
  • Straight Man: Towards the entire cast.
  • Team Dad: Between him, Hazel, Sage, and Juvia.
  • Their First Time: Him and Juvia have sex in episode 16. Prior to that, they were both virgins.
  • True Companions: Ends up forming this kind of bond with Hazel and Sage, despite attempting his hardest not to.

    Sage Casentini

The Sassy Tomboy

"Apparently I overexerted myself, but oh well. I guess I can count on Hazel to take down that egotistical Brick."

Total Xtreme Island Placement : 4th

Total Xtreme Action Placement : TBA

Sage is not the nicest person in the world. She likes to tell it like it is and will not be afraid to bad-mouth a person to their face. She likes gossip, secrets, and uses anything she knows to her advantage. She can be nice if she likes the person in question...But she is not afraid to pretend to be someone's friend and backstab them later. However, she doesn't act like a girly girl as she sees herself as more of a tomboy, mainly so she can fight someone in full force if needs be.
  • Alpha Bitch: Has this role on her team.
  • Anti-Hero: She has become this by the merge.
  • Arch-Enemy: Has become one for Reyna.
  • Birds of a Feather: A non-romantic variation with Izaya.
  • Character Development: Realizing just how awful to Juvia, her only real friend, she undergoes a Heel–Face Turn, and slowly begins to build a true bond with Juvia, along with Izaya and Hazel.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Begins her cycle for one in episode 18, completely pulls one in episode 23.
  • Light Feminine and Dark Feminine: The dark feminine along with Ashley to Juvia's light feminine.
  • Lovable Alpha Bitch: She acts like a bitch towards nearly every contestant. Doesn't mean that she doesn't have a soft side though, if her interactions with Gareth in the third episode and conversations with her alliance in later episodes are any indication.
  • My Greatest Second Chance: Returns for the second season.
  • Odd Friendship: With both Ashley and Juvia. Until Juvia catches on that Sage has never supported her as an actual friend. But, as of episode 23's official Heel–Face Turn for her, the two are once again back to being close friends.
  • The Rival: Sees Reyna and Devereux as her rivals in the game.
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: Hints to being this in episode four.
  • Smoking Is Cool: Revealed to smoke in episode 21 of TXI.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: Ever since she officially formed her alliance, she seems to have been having more genuine moments with her team.
    • Promises to do this again after losing Juvia as a friend. Which actually ends up going well for her, as she not only redevelops a connection with Juvia, but also ends up finding friends in Hazel and Izaya.
  • Tomboy and Girly Girl: The tomboy to Juvia's girly girl.
  • True Companions: Forms this with Hazel, Izaya, and Juvia, despite some difficulty on her end.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Juvia gives her a pretty harsh one in episode 18.
  • We Used to Be Friends: With Juvia, until they redeveloped their connection in episode 23.

Supporting Protagonists

The Strategic Nerd

"I mean, I don’t get why she got mad. We were perfectly fine doing our normal hangout routine, then she asks me this weird question and she gets mad at me for answering it!"

  • Badass Bookworm: He actually does decently in a fight, and yet he's a total nerd.
  • Berserk Button: Insult his sister, and you will make an enemy in him.
  • The Determinator: He seems to be deadset on making sure his team wins every challenge, while still trying to keep good morale.
  • Four Eyes, Zero Soul: During the merge after Taking A Level In Jerkass.
  • Just Friends: Him and Cynthia claim to be this early on. It eventually develops out of this.
  • Kick the Dog: His downright cruel behavior towards Max causes him to lose a lot of likability for some people. In fact, his entire time during the merge could serve as this for him.
  • The Leader: Became this for his team in episode two.
  • Nice Guy: While very serious about winning the competition, he acts as this towards his teammates. That is until he Took a Level in Jerkass. After his elimination though, he seems to have mostly returned to this.
  • Official Couple: With Cynthia.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: Throughout the entire merge.

  • No-Respect Guy: Treated horribly by just about everyone on his team, and ends up leaving the show due to something that debatably wasn't his fault.
  • No Social Skills: He lacks them completely, mostly just acting like a dumpster dog despite it grossing so many people out.
  • Pet the Dog: Finally finds a real friend in Decker, and leaves the show happy as he listens to the music he gave him.

    Decker

The Mix Master

"Yo, this place don’t look half bad. Might camp out in here for the night since I don’t believe in housing. Or in a tree. Trees are dank as fuck."

  • Camp Straight: He's gay, but you'd never know unless he mentioned it.
  • The Heart: Oddly enough, he seems to have taken this role on his team.
  • Nice Guy: The kindest among the newbies.
  • Only Sane Man: Whenever he isn't listening to music, he's proven himself to be a very calm, likable guy.
  • Ship Tease: With Kai.

    Kai Malia

The Shy in a Shell

"Maybe one day...If I can just get out of my shell, then I can be stronger."

Total Xtreme Island Placement : 23rd

Total Xtreme Action Placement : TBA

Kai is an overall nice guy... However, he is generally sad and alone. He Tends to be by himself, but at the same time he wants to make friends. He is just too scared to do make them due to what he's seen at a young age. However, he hopes to become more open with people.

    Matsuzawa Yutaka

The Happy Loser

"That’s mean, besides you only briefly knew them or knew them when competing. When we aren’t trying to win money, everyone is actually pretty nice. Giselle even offered me her whiskey."

Total Xtreme Island Placement : 22nd

He’s outgoing, humorous and is just a ball of energy. He suffers from ADHD and can never sit still or pay proper attention to anything. He enjoys making others laugh and enjoys making friends. He mostly puts on a fake smile to hide the fact that he is having family troubles and wishes to stay away. He enjoys making his name a pun.
  • Amazon Chaser: If his crush on Reyna is anything to go by.
  • Ambiguously Bi: His entire relationship with Isaac is full of Ho Yay, and he actually didn't enjoy kissing his crush at all.
  • Butt-Monkey: Became this in the loser episode, where he was basically a living punching bag.
  • Cloud Cuckoo Lander: Among the early boots that is.
  • Covert Pervert: When around Giselle.
  • Disappeared Dad: Revealed to have one in episode three.
  • Fatal Flaw: He's way too kind for his own good.
  • Large Ham: And he is damn proud of it.
  • The Load: Which is ultimately why he's eliminated.
  • Mistaken for Gay: His entire team was basically convinced him and Isaac were in a relationship before he left.
  • Nice Guy: Goes out of his way to be a nice guy to everyone he meets.
  • No Sympathy for Grudgeholders: In the losers episode, Yu seems to be holding a grudge against Isaac and the rest of his team for voting him out. And then a LOT of shit happens to him all episode.

The Determined Badass

"I’ll take it into consideration, but for now, consider yourself forgiven...Sort of."

Total Xtreme Island Placement : 18th

Total Xtreme Action Placement : 21st

Despite her father being a successful fighter, she is more of a anti-social tomboy. Reyna is very smart who has some fighting skills, but of course they were never close to being in comparison to her father. She despises girls who are “popular” or “cute” and gets flustered when girl talk is involved. Despite her hotheaded tendencies, she has a soft spot for innocent pokemon and children. She is selfless to those she trusts.
  • Action Girl: The biggest example of the entire cast. More or less proven in episode three when she takes on 100 opponents for a penalty challenge, and wins!
  • Arch-Enemy: Has become one for Sage.
  • Easily Forgiven: Zig-zagged with her and Brick. While she wouldn't just forgive him, she still had done so by the end of episode 16.
  • Fatal Flaw: Her confidence in her ability to win the game.
  • Hypocrite: Refuses to immediately forgive Brick after he votes her off, but seems outright shocked when Sage doesn't instantly forgive her after she fried the closest thing she has ever had to a father figure in the form of Izaya.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: While she is prone to being rude and has some issues talking to people without saying an indecent comment, she really is a loyal friend to anyone who makes it past her unlikable outside.
  • Kick the Dog: Shooting a flamethrower attack at Izaya, someone who last season was nearly killed via fire.
  • My Greatest Second Chance: Returns for the second season.
  • Non-Gameplay Elimination: Devereux disguised himself as her and basically sabotaged her game. She was eliminated that episode.
  • Official Couple: With Brick.
  • Parental Neglect: Her father was revealed to have barely even acknowledged her existence, pushing her to try and prove to him she's worth his time.
  • The Rival: Sees Sage as her rival in the game.

    Sally Blau

The Girl Next Door

"I can’t do this anymore Jet, because you obviously don’t care enough about me to acknowledge me, so this relationship is over."

Total Xtreme Island Placement : 17th

Sally is a very sweet and caring Pokemon. She's very friendly towards others and gives them a second chance. She often worries about her friends when she thinks they're in trouble and tries to make sure they're okay. One might say she has a somewhat motherly nature because of how she tries to make sure everyone is okay and helps them when they're hurt or sad or and scolds those who need a good scolding. She's not afraid to stand up to someone she thinks is doing something wrong.

    Thunder von Herr

The Temperamental Boxer

"I’m not asking for you to take me back or anything, I just want you to forgive me, know that I want to be a better guy, and maybe the two of us can be friends."

Total Xtreme Island Placement : 13th

Total Xtreme Action Placement : TBA

  • Amicable Exes: With Ashley as of Episode 16.
  • The Big Guy: Of the Terrifying Tyranitars overall.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: Gets pissed off for no reason at random times.
  • Heel–Face Turn: In the loser episode, he finally calls out Giselle on her bullshit, apologizes to Ashley for the way he acted, and makes a promise to himself to change for the better.
  • Jerkass: Due to his Hair-Trigger Temper, he comes off as one of the more major examples of this. Ultimately being revealed to only be using his girlfriend for sex DEFINITELY doesn't help. He seems to be trying to change for the better though as of episode 16.
  • The Leader: For the Ludicrous Larvesta in TXA.
  • My Greatest Second Chance: Returns for the second season.
  • Non-Gameplay Elimination: He was pulled off the island by a pissed-off Kaden, who refers to Thunder's fate as one final, "fuck you" to the Electrivire.
  • Reformed, but Rejected: Genuinely means it when he says he's trying to change. Doesn't mean Ashley's forgiving him for using her though. They're hinted at getting there now, as they seem to have become Amicable Exes. By TXA, the two are borderline best friends it seems.
  • Rejected Apology: Ashley ain't forgiving him that easily for how he acted in TXA. However, she finally does forgive him in the TXI finale.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: He finally realizes how horrible he was on the island in episode 16, and vows to change for the better.

Major Antagonists

    Devereux Kincaid

The Tricky Sociopath

"Wow, and I thought some of the crazy shit you cunts have said in the past was weird, but that just takes the cake."

Total Xtreme Island Placement : 12th

  • Arc Villain: Acts as the Big Bad of episodes #10-15. While he does little more than pranks during that time, he still screws over quite a number of people, and ultimately, his final episode makes it clear that he's potentially the most evil of all the villains, excluding Gareth.
  • Ax-Crazy: Comes across as this while he's torturing Juvia in episode 15.
  • Belligerent Sexual Tension: With Kaden.
  • Bigger Is Better in Bed: Hinted at having a rather large penis, which is why he thinks he's the far better "top" than Kaden.
  • Disc-One Final Boss: Served as the Big Bad of the pre-merge, but is the first contestant eliminated in the merge.
  • The Dragon: Acts as this first towards Sage, but almost immediately has become one for Kaden as of episode three.
  • Dirty Coward: The only contestant to not return to the island to save the contestants from Gareth and his army.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: Nobody really likes the guy, but he is valued as an additional vote by both alliances on his team. Too bad you can't trust him to actually vote with you.
  • Genre Savvy: He is smart enough to realize how risky being in an alliance is, due to the fact that they usually betray each other in the end. Which makes him betraying his alliance for no reason in episode three all that more confusing, and that he swapped the votes in episode four is also pretty confusing.
  • Jerkass: Betrays his alliance for no reason at all, treats everyone with no respect at all, actively goes out of his way to insult everyone around him, and is generally just not a pleasant person.
  • Kick the Dog: The entirety of episode 15 of TXI is a prime example of this. Not only does he brag to every contestant's face about how he's been manipulating the game since day one, but that he not only doesn't feel bad for it, but loves it. Doesn't help that he outright tortures Juvia throughout the final act of the episode.
  • Large Ham: All while being a snarky asshole.
  • Ship Tease: With Kaden.
  • Slap-Slap-Kiss: With Kaden.
  • The Sociopath: His actions throughout episode 15 paint him as one. Though, he was never exactly a saint before that episode.
  • The Soulless: He's the only contestant in the entire game that you can make this case for. Even HYDE seems to be a better person than him.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: Sure, he was awful during the pre-merge, but man, the one episode we spend with him in the merge proves he's actually WAY worse than we expected.

    Gareth Gein

The Masked "Moron"

"You really think you won? Ha! After I get off this island, I’ll just come back with a bigger army. One where my right hand man might actually listen, instead of becoming a faggot on me!"

Total Xtreme Island Placement : 8th

He has a childish demeanor to him and basically acts like a stereotypical dumb blonde, even so much as pretending to be something else (I.E: A magical fairy), but that is all just a trick to gain the trust of others. He stays under the radar as someone who is too dumb to get far, but too helpful to leave early. He’s actually a logical strategist and enjoys taking his time in making someone suffer before ending them. Physically, mentally or just to eliminate them. He is snarky, rude and sarcastic, but he may have a change of heart to those who is able to gain his trust.
  • Arc Villain: Acts as the Big Bad of episodes #20-22. While he could be considered the main antagonist of the series as a whole, these are the only episodes where he truly does anything villainous worth mentioning, but oh boy, he makes his hatred towards the cast clear in them.
  • Ax-Crazy: He's always been this, but it REALLY starts to show in episode 22, where his sole intention for returning to the island is to kill everyone on it.
  • Bad Boss: Ultimately the reason why Monsoon betrays him.
  • Berserk Button:
    • Being mistaken for gay is slowly becoming one for him.
    • Hyde's entire existence.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: He has a side of him that clearly is portrayed as much more violent, insane, and sarcastic than the normal him. Turns out it actually IS the normal him though.
  • Big Bad Wannabe: When he returns with an army in episode 22, he's revealed to actually be...Kinda pathetic and childish, and really not much of a real threat without his army and Monsoon.
  • Blood Knight: Certainly seems to be one at times.
  • Break the Cutie: It honestly feels as if episode three just exists to traumatize the poor guy. Though you basically lose all pity for him after you find out his role as The Cutie was all an act.
  • Butt-Monkey: The biggest example of the cast in episode three. Though afterwards, he gets it relatively uncommon.
  • Face–Heel Turn: After the reveal he was Evil All Along.
  • Fatal Flaw: His extremely noticeable stupidity. It's revealed that this was all an act.
  • Faux Affably Evil: He tries as hard as he can to try and be a decent person despite being a Serial Killer. But after Sage got him eliminated, it was pretty clear it was all just an act.
  • Mistaken for Gay: By episode two, everyone in the cast(with exception of Sage's alliance) thinks the guy is in a gay relationship with Kaden. He is obviously horrified.
  • Mistreatment-Induced Betrayal: After being practically traumatized by the person he thought of as his closest friend on the island, he not only doesn't care much about leaving his original team in episode three, but also doesn't hold back on the insult he sends to his entire team. Can you really blame him though, the guy's entire team was made up of assholes. And then you realize Gareth himself is a jerk, and you suddenly start questioning this.
  • Obfuscating Stupidity: It's revealed that his idiocy was all just one big act, and that he's actually an Evil Genius.
  • Put on the Bus: After episode 22, he is never seen again. Probably due to being in prison.
  • Serial Killer: Revealed to have been this the whole time in episode 11.
  • Walking Spoiler: As of episode 11.

    Giselle Evans

The Confident Seductress

"Can we get this going now please? Unlike most of these people, I actually have a life outside this show."

Total Xtreme Island Placement : 9th

  • Arc Villain: Acts as the Big Bad of episodes #16-19. While everyone is more than aware of her villainous nature and actively try to take her out, it should be noted that Giselle was still able to make an impact.
  • Alpha Bitch: Acts as the main example among the main cast.
  • Attention Whore: The way she acts around the male contestants just screams this.
  • The Baroness: More or less her role as a villain.
  • Big Bad Wannabe: She thought throughout her game that she was the obvious Big Bad manipulating the competition in her favor. By episode 15, literally everyone is aware of her true nature and nobody can really take her seriously.
  • The Corrupter: Spends most of her time in the merge trying to convince Brick and Isaac to join her alliance.
  • Fatal Flaw: Her over-confidence in her ability to woo the male members of the team comes across as this.
  • Manipulative Bitch: A blend of this and being a hidden Alpha Bitch.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Invokes this as her primary strategy.
  • Non-Gameplay Elimination: Automatically eliminated after failing to bring back her prey in episode 19.
  • Obviously Evil: As of the merge, literally EVERYONE knows she's evil.
  • Out of Focus: With exception of Max, she did the absolute least among those who made merge.
  • We Can Rule Together: Makes this offer with Brick and Isaac. Not like she has plans of actually doing it though.

Supporting Antagonists

    Cynthia De Lucca

The Yakuza Princess

"No. That plan would take too long, they are all scattered so we’ll be noticed anyways, and even if they weren’t scattered then I’m sure they would notice a huge decrease in numbers."

Total Xtreme Island Placement : 20th

Total Xtreme Action Placement : 14th

Mature, kind, and beautiful, Cynthia is the ideal type of girl any guy would want. Cynthia is a soft-spoken, polite, and caring woman. She rarely shows any signs of panic or distress, and has a good sense of duty. With her grace and manners, she lets others know quietly that while she may be soft, she is not to be taken too lightly. Being the only daughter of a Yakuza family, others (if know her) fear her.

    Hercule Jamison Anderson Hamilton Burr

The Analytical Motor Mouth

"I couldn’t find a way to forget you people even if I tried. And of course he’s an inspiration. Anyone who was lucky enough to make on here deserves to be seen as one. It’s why I’m so excited to become one myself through competing."

Total Xtreme Action Placement : 19th

  • Ambition Is Evil: While evil might be a bit far, it seems his own ambitious attitude towards being remembered has made him a rather despicable individual in a lot of ways.
  • The Determinator: The most determined among the newbies at least.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: He's seen as very wise member of his team, but everyone is also constantly annoyed by him.
  • Hidden Heart of Gold: It's revealed that he was actually just faking his gigantic ego the whole time in episode 5 of TXA, and actually seems like a pretty normal dude.
  • Insufferable Genius: A very intelligent young man who comes across as an annoying jerk.
  • It's All About Me: Has this attitude in general.
  • Jerkass: His own ego has made him into a rather pompous and hard to like person in general.
  • Kick the Dog: Seems to be the king of these.
    • Calls Kai pathetic and basically hopeless.
    • Belittles and outright says Bari's elimination is expected, and that he won't bother bonding with him due to this.
  • Motor Mouth: He speaks at high speeds, and usually has a lot to say along with it.

    Hyde Wayne

The Creepy "Old" Man

"Hehe, you really are a charmer with words, aren’t you?"

Total Xtreme Island Placement : 16th

Total Xtreme Action Placement : 17th

  • Arc Villain: Acts as the Big Bad of episodes #1-6. The first major antagonist of the series, Hyde is despised by everyone during this time due to being a presumed pedophile, and his actions certainly didn't do him any favors.
  • Ax-Crazy: Some of his actions in episode three certainly make him come across as this.
  • Cloud Cuckoo Lander: After his Flanderization, he certainly feels this way.
  • Digging Yourself Deeper: Right after being revealed as a pedophile, he continues to only worsen his reputation by attempting to knock out Ace, and by extension, the rest of his team out of the challenge in the third episode. It should be no surprise to anyone that everyone hates him and wants him gone by this point.
  • Dirty Coward: Came across as this while he was leaving his original team.
  • Dirty Old Man: It's even worse considering he's a pedophile. Though, he's actually only 19.
  • Epic Fail: Attempts to essentially poison Ace in the third episode so their team loses. Too bad he fails so spectacularly that it only means that Hyde himself is now the number one target for elimination on both teams.
  • Fatal Flaw: Oh I don't know, maybe it's the fact that he's a pedophile.
  • I'm Not Here to Make Friends: He is just in the game to win, and really couldn't give less of a shit about the other's opinions on him.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: He's a pedophile who jacked off while watching a kid sleep, and then proceeds later on in the episode to try and sabotage his own team so he can eliminate the closest thing to a sensible leader on his team.
  • Non-Gameplay Elimination: Gareth and Sage sabotaged him by throwing his unconscious body into Tyranitar's missing box of waffles. Tyranitar eliminates him on the spot in his fury.
  • Odd Friendship: With Big Bad Wannabe Tempest. He also gets along well with her Parental Substitute.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Attempted to sabotage his own team by taking Ace out of the challenge, while IN FRONT OF HIS ENTIRE TEAM! To no one's surprise, that obviously didn't work out for him.
  • Vague Age: He seems to at least be the oldest contestant, but his actual age is a completely different question.
  • Younger Than They Look: Hyde looks like a Grumpy Old Man...He's only 19! That means that he isn't even the oldest in the cast(that being Izaya, at 25).

    Jet Mercury

The Untrusting Loner

"Okay."

Total Xtreme Island Placement : 19th

Jet is a loner who isn't very trusting of others and has a bit of a short temper. He tends to keep to himself and doesn't talk much, but he can carry on a conversation and speak up when something must be said. Jet spends most of his time training and fighting, which is why he's an extremely great fighter and extremely fast and agile. Jet on the outside seems to be a cold loner, but on the inside he has a great heart that's kind, selfless, and brave. He will stand up for others and defend his family and friends. He's also very protective of his siblings and loved ones. However he does have his darker side which comes out when he gets angry or sees something he can't stand.
  • Blood Knight: The only time he ever actually seems to enjoy much of anything is while fighting.
  • Broken Ace: Word of God has confirmed that after Tempest kicked his ass so easily in the finale, Jet never really got over it, and actually became an even bigger jerk.
  • Fatal Flaw: The fact that he more or less refuses to properly communicate with his teammates.
  • I Work Alone: And he makes this very clear.
  • Jerkass: Outright admits to not trusting his teammates, and never exactly treated them well either. He got worse.
  • The Quiet One: Good luck actually getting the guy to talk.
  • The Stoic: Rarely changes from his look of complete indifference, and refuses to talk to the rest of the cast.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: By the loser episode, he's basically lost any positive traits he had before.

    Kaden Pastel

The Campy Gay Assassin

"Oh please, you’d be lucky to even be near my ass."

Total Xtreme Island Placement : 14th

  • Abusive Parents: Considering they murdered his past boyfriend, this is a pretty obvious one.
  • Arc Villain: Acts as the Big Bad of episodes #7-9. While he does the least among the villains as a whole, he still serves as the primary antagonist to the rest of his team due to his alliance eliminating Izaya, and thus Kaden takes control with an iron fist.
  • Belligerent Sexual Tension: With Devereux. Though not like he'd admit it.
  • Broken Bird: Became this after episode 14. Seems to have recovered mostly by the TXI finale though.
  • Casanova Wannabe: Comes across as this when around Gareth.
  • Cloud Cuckoo Lander: With how he sees the world at times, he certainly can sound like one.
  • Fatal Flaw: His arrogance and Yandere tendencies are established as this from the get-go.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Downplayed, but he does seem to redeem himself in some of the contestant's eyes after he decides to take out Thunder with him.
  • It's All About Me: The first couple episodes portray his entire personality as this. It's revealed in episode four that this wall all an act, and that he only acts this way because he thought that was just how gay people acted.
  • Jerkass: Kaden is an asshole who has more or less become a Yandere for Gareth, all while insulting every other contestant. It got to a point of where he has practically traumatized Gareth.
  • Manipulative Bastard: Definitely the largest example of any of the contestants. He more or less manipulated his entire team into believing how he useful he is, while also convincing them that he is Gareth's boyfriend, and all the while starting the first major alliance of the season. While seemingly not anything too bad, this manipulation actually ends up traumatizing Gareth himself, has left most of the team against each other in one way or another, and more or less has caused every conflict on his team in one way or another.
  • Ship Tease: With Devereux.
  • Slap-Slap-Kiss: With Devereux.

    Kyah Melville

The First Boot

"I...I just want to prove to myself that I’m useful. If I help Gareth win this one, then others will know I wasn’t just some useless first out girl. They’ll actually regret sending me home early."

Total Xtreme Island Placement : 25th

Total Xtreme Action Placement : 22nd

Kyah is a painfully shy girl who has zero to no confidence in herself. She has a kind heart and is easily devastated at failure. She has always been branded as the “Nerd” or “Quiet Girl”. She is quiet, kind, and easily embarrassed, but is also stubborn and can be competitive once her confidence is up. She has anxiety attacks when she has to do something herself, but once her confidence is good or she’s around someone she dislikes, then she tends to be a bit colder and self-centered due to her anxiety and competitive nature.
  • Big Bad Wannabe: Set up as the main antagonist of Action, and likely would have been, had it not been for her getting too cocky and backstabbing Barkeep, meaning he wouldn't sabotage votes and save her from elimination.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: Revealed to actually be a fairly skilled player in episode 16. Too bad she never got to show this off.
  • Cute Clumsy Girl: Essentially was one of the only things we learned about her before she was eliminated.
  • The Dragon: To Barkeep.
  • Evil All Along: Revealed to have been Barkeep's partner the whole time.
  • Fatal Flaw: The fact that she brings absolutely nothing to the table, giving her team literally no reason to keep her around. And by the end of the first episode, she is the first contestant eliminated.
    • Ultimately and surprisingly averted; She proves in the losers episode that if she had stuck around, she probably would have been a major contender.
  • Hidden Depths: Episodes 25 and 26 reveal her to have been The Strategist in hiding.
  • My Greatest Second Chance: Returns for the second season.
  • Smug Snake: Became this during Total Xtreme Action.
  • Walking Spoiler: After the reveal that she was Evil All Along.
  • We Hardly Knew Ye: Due to being eliminated in just the first episode, we didn't get to learn much about her. Though we do get to learn some stuff about her in the loser episode.

    Maxwell Payne

The Broken Edgelord

"And I’m not gonna let you all lie to me anymore! And nobody will push me around ever again!"

Total Xtreme Island Placement : 11th

  • Being Tortured Makes You Evil: Sadly, this ended up being his fate after spending an entire season being tortured by the cast.
  • Eliminated in the Limelight: After spending an entire season being Out of Focus, he acts as the main antagonist of his elimination episode.
  • Cloud Cuckoo Lander: He's basically become this ever since he Took a Level in Jerkass.
  • Dirty Coward: At even the slightest hint of danger, he faints on the spot.
  • The Dog Bites Back: After going through basically an entire season of abuse from literally everyone around him, he finally snaps in episode 18. Too bad it gets him eliminated.
  • Face–Heel Turn: In episode 17.
  • Nice Guy: To a point of where he hates how divided his team has become, and actually was hoping to be traded over to the other team instead of Gareth.
  • Only Sane Man: Averted in the fact that he is the only contestant in the entire game that refuses to partake in any kind of strategy, which is perhaps the dumbest move possible.
  • Out of Focus: He's never really in the spotlight.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: From episode 17 onward.
  • Token Good Teammate: The only person on his team who just wants everyone to get along and not strategize against everyone else.
  • To Win Without Fighting: Hopes for this to happen due to refusing to partake in strategy.

    Rest

The Mumbling Champion

"Puff!"

Total Xtreme Action Placement : 16th

  • The Ace: Amazing at competing in challenges.
  • Hot-Blooded: EVERYTHING about her shows that she is clearly this.
  • Jerkass: Attacks her own teammates just to steal glory away from them.
  • No Social S Kills: Considering just how limited her vocabulary is, it's no surprise.

Total Xtreme Action Debuts

    Alia

The Punk Guitarist

"I didn’t think these old veterans would be so funny, but the crazy thing on my mind is...I could have sworn there were more people in that apartment. Oh well."

Total Xtreme Action Placement : TBA

  • Has a Type: Those who can take a joke and let loose, but also seems to have a thing for both sensitive guys and bad boys.
  • Official Couple: With Droog as of episode 5 of TXA.
  • Only Sane Man: Oddly enough, she's the most rational and calm among her teammates.
  • Ship Tease: With Droog.

    Axel Droog

The "Bad Boy" with a Bad Habit

"Hey, two of them are in there as well. If you gotta take me, at least also get rid of those pricks too."

Total Xtreme Action Placement : TBA

  • Amazon Chaser: LOVES strong women.
  • Has a Type: If you're a tough girl or a girl who likes to break the rules, he'll naturally feel attracted to you. Also might have a thing for pain.
  • Jerkass: Unabashedly rude to just about everyone and has a huge ego to boost. Though he does so signs of a potential heart of gold underneath.
  • Last-Name Basis: Requested people only refer to him as Droog, since he thinks it sounds cooler.

    Chad

The Lovable Frat Bro

"Wooo! Panty raid on a store!"

Total Xtreme Action Placement : TBA

  • The Charmer: The cast state themselves that he's a very charming man.
  • Lovable Jock: He's oddly enough one of the nicest AND most athletic people in the series.
  • Lovable Sex Maniac: Very much the type who's into getting lucky, but is also a genuinely sweet person and one of the most loyal people you could ever meet.
  • Nice Guy: One of the few completely unselfish characters in the cast.
  • Undying Loyalty: Towards anyone he considers a bro.

    Indigo & Her Puppets

The Queen of the Puppets and Her Servants

"Did I do well?"
"Yes, you did well my puppet queen."

Total Xtreme Action Placement : TBA

    Isabel

The Excitable Actress

"And to be even more fair, most actors at least knew how to read a line correctly, even back then. You can tell that girl is clearly just reading a cue card considering how often she just stops saying anything to stare at something offscreen."

Total Xtreme Action Placement : TBA

  • Genki Girl: Very excitable and fun to be around when she isn't playing a persona.
  • The Heart: Of the game as a whole, but it'd be difficult NOT to be with just passionate and friendly she is.
  • Official Couple: With Kanaya as of episode 10.
  • Ship Tease: With Kanaya.

    Monsoon

The Loyal Gayngster

"Yeah, we made extra sure to make our bitch-ass army be in the hundreds. You knobs don’t stand a chance."

Total Xtreme Action Placement : TBA

Gareth's right hand man and the secondary antagonist of episode 22.
  • Affably Evil: While in a more odd version, it should still be noted that he's surprisingly the nicest antagonist to compete on the show.
  • Ax-Crazy: Considering just how enthusiastic he was about the idea of murdering the contestants and hosts, this certainly qualifies.
  • Being Evil Sucks: Ends up realizing this in his last moments on the show.
  • Blood Knight: He loves to hurt people, and had Gareth not been such a jerk, he most likely would have enjoyed every moment of the war between the cast and wild Pokemon.
  • The Consigliere: Acts as this to Gareth.
  • Damn, It Feels Good to Be a Gangster!: Or at least he seems to think so.
  • The Dragon: To Gareth, until he realizes just how little he gives a crap about him.
  • Gayngster: Revealed to be this in episode 22.
  • Heel–Face Door-Slam: He arrested alongside Gareth, right after finally standing up to his boss.
  • Hot-Blooded: Easily the most quick to anger of the antagonists on the show.
  • Straight Gay: It'd be really hard to tell he was gay if you were just having a discussion with the guy.
  • Stupid Crooks: Implied to be this.

    Starrk

The Uncaring Slacker

"Well...Today was actually very interesting, plus I got free booze and I may or may not be drunk at the moment. Not bad."

Total Xtreme Action Placement : TBA

  • Deadpan Snarker: Only speaks and acts sarcastic and uncaring.
  • Jerkass: Treats basically nobody with respect.
  • The Slacker: The laziest among the newbies, and possibly among the entire cast as a whole.
  • The Snark Knight: The only clear example of this among the cast.

Outsiders

Original Island Locals

    Julie
"Ducklett!"
A rude and annoying Ducklett that constantly harasses Brick and the other contestants on the show.

    Wild Bidoof

    Wild Ursaring

Loser Isle Locals

    Giant Pokemon

    Ronoc
"...Only a certain few have ever left my building...Those who proved they deserve a second chance...You lack that in it’s entirety...Thus, you shall become my next experiment..."
A rather disturbing man living on Loser Isle, out in the jungle of the giant Pokemon.
  • A God Am I: From how he speaks of experimenting on others like it's no big deal, to stating how he's the one who determines if you deserve a second chance at life, this just feels obvious.
  • Ambiguously Evil: The episode basically outright shows he IS evil, but the thing that truly makes it ambiguous is him saving Izaya's life due to deeming him worthy of a second chance.
  • Arc Villain: Served as the main antagonist of episode 24.
  • Ax-Crazy: The way he talks about how he experiments on people seems like this.
  • Cloud Cuckoo Lander: A very possible example considering he wishes to experiment on living beings.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: Clearly has intentions for his experiments that go far beyond then what's seen on the show.
  • Knight of Cerebus: Tone-wise, he is taken absolutely seriously within the narrative. He never cracks jokes, he doesn't say anything amusing, doesn't even have any humane personality traits. Instead, he's presented as a disturbing Mad Scientist with plans to torture and experiment on Hazel.
  • Mad Scientist: An implied example due to speaking of his "experiments" and how he plans to use Hazel for his newest one.
  • Morally Ambiguous Doctorate: Heavily implied to be this in his only episode.
  • The Sociopath: Cares little about others, how they feel, or anything about their lives. To him, everyone's just another potential experiment.
  • Villain of Another Story: He's implied to have experimented on many others before attempting to do the same to Hazel.
