Oblivion Flame, the Phoenix of Ruin

Classification: Ethereal/Ascendant

Portfolio: Formerly: Life, Fire, Fertility. Presently: Nothingness, Fire, Ruin

Rank: Antecedent

Oblivion Flame (her entry here) is an ancient, unkillable phoenix Griffon Goddess who desires to destroy the world so it can be recreated as something she views as more fair.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's a Phoenix Griffon goddess who embodied Life, Fire, and Fertility. After her Fall, she now embodies Nothingness, Fire, and Ruin.
  • Complete Immortality: One of the biggest examples in the story so far: Oblivion Flame is a Perpetual Phoenix Griffon goddess that has gained the Power of the Void. Even weapons and things that should kill any of those three things can't kill her. This combination makes her pretty much literally unkillable, and that's why she was sealed away.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: While initially aligned with them, Oblivion Flame eventually turned on the Children of the Void after learning of their true end-goals. Their main disagreement comes from the fact Oblivion Flame only wanted to end the world so it could be reborn as something fairer and better, while the Children of the Void just wanted to destroy everything.
  • Laughing Mad: After going insane, she is prone to boughts of manic laughter.
  • Mad God: Her family being murdered by a friend of hers (actually Fegrð possessing them) and Fegrð's manipulations drove her insane, resulting in her desire to destroy all life on Equus and force the Grand Primevals to start over.
  • Omnicidal Maniac: She desires to destroy all life on Equus to force the Grand Primevals to start over from scratch. This actually puts her at odds with the Children of the Void who turned her into what she became today as their endgoal would mean the final end of everything, while Oblivion Flame want to destroy the world with the intent of letting something new and better replace it.
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: She was sealed away long ago in a tomb. Notably, this was a necessity, as there's no known way of killing her. The heroes of the Second Age had to put her back twice because they couldn't find a way to, either.
  • Time Abyss: She's extremely old, being roughly the same age as deities like Golden Scepter, Queen Mzazi, and Magna.

P

Paragona, the Shining Champion (Fifth Age)

Classification: Ethereal/Ascendant

Portfolio: Paragons, Hope, Nobility, Superheroism

Rank: Divine (???)

    Pandemonia, the 'Queen' of Tumult
'Queen' Pandemonia (first indroduced here) is a Draconequu goddess of Chaos, Freedom, Hedonism and Power who has free reign over the realms of Tumult, one of the few existing 'Chaos Lands' of Equus, which had served as her playground for millennia and where everyone and everything exists as her playthings. Despite her hedonism however, her nature and character prevent her from going too far in her frequent toying of her 'subjects', leaving them alone to live as they wish when she is not out to amuse herself and even ensure their own freedoms would not be infringed by others (or let them infringing upon others).
  • The Fettered: Surprisingly, a combination of character and nature prevents her from taking her rampant reality-twisting chaotic hedonism too far. A social contract of sorts exist in Tumult: The residents are allowed to live their lives as they see fit so long as they allow her to play with them every now and then (implied without permanent damage), and they are free to do whatever they want so long as it doesn't infringe upon the freedoms of others. Those who break the latter rule answers to her. This turns Tumult into more a collection of stateless anarchistic chaotic realms where life is tolerable and even liberating rather than a miserable chaotic Death World such an arrangement would normally be.
  • The Hedonist: Tumult exists as her playground, and she amuses herself with everyone and everything there, held back only by her own character and nature.
  • Reality Warper: Bread and parcel of being a Draconequus. She is stated to have absolute control over local reality there and uses her powers to turn the lands of Tumult into her playground, with everyone and everything being her playthings.
  • World of Chaos: Rules over and maintains one of the few existing 'Lands of Chaos' on Equus.

    Perniciem, the Great Dying

Divine Classification: Ethereal

Portfolio: Mass Extinction, Destruction, Death

Rank: Primeval

"[DESTROY! DESTROY! DESTROY! DESTROY! DESTROY... EVERYTHING - !!!]"

Perniciem (her entry here) is the Draconequus goddess of Mass Extinction, Destruction, and Death, and is an utterly insane being who sought to destroy everything in existence.
  • Always a Bigger Fish: Perniciem essentially demonstrated the scale of some of the threats the Alicorn Civilization - an hyper-advanced and highly utopian culture made up entirely of Alicorn gods - faced during their heyday, although Perniciem was a league of her own even by their standards.
  • Ancient Evil: She's 440 million years old, being by far one of the oldest villains in the series.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's a Draconequus goddess who embodies Mass Extinction, Destruction, and Death.
  • The Dreaded: To note, even Golden Scepter calls her awakening one of the most terrifying days of his life.
  • Evil Is Bigger: Implied. She was absolutely colossal during the height of her power and rampage, and even the pieces of her shattered form still dwarves many beings and objects with their sheer enormity. To note, one of those pieces, the 'demonic destroyer' which the mad dragon Valefor (enemy of Pyro II) tried to unleash to destroy the world, is the size of a mountain. Her true scale is revealed to be the size of a continent.
  • Mad God: Perniciem is completely insane, having been tragically driven stark-raving mad upon experiencing several mass extinctions and foreseeing many more occurring in the future, to the point she can think about nothing else other than to 'destroy', because to her that's all she knows.
  • Names To Run Away From Very Fast: Her Red Baron is the Great Dying. AKA, the name of the Permian–Triassic extinction event. This is because she caused it.
  • Omnicidal Maniac: Being an utterly insane Draconequu embodiment of Mass Extinction, Destruction, and Death, she desires nothing short of the complete destruction of all life and beings on the planet.
  • Person of Mass Destruction: She's the goddess of Mass Extinction and took pretty much the entire world to actually defeat. She took several entire civilizations and species with her.
  • Psychopomp: Her original role is believed to have been to ferry the massive amount of souls resulting from a mass extinction to the afterlife.
  • Villainous Legacy: Several antediluvian Alicorns were implied to have suffered severe, untreated PTSD from her rampage, which contributed to their Falls.

    Pharasmare, the Lady of Graves

Classification: Ethereal/Ascendant(?)

Portfolio: Death, Fate, Knowledge, Judgement

Rank: Primeval/Preeminent

Pharasmare is the Alicorn(?) goddess of Death, Fate, Knowledge, and Judgement, and is an older daughter of Mortem, the Death Primeval.
  • Expy: Of Pharasma, a Death goddess who judges the souls in a cold and uncaring manner.
  • The Magnificent: Known mostly as "the Lady of Graves", though she's also called "the Mother of Souls" and "the Survivor".
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: She's normally neutral in her judgement of the dead. But what truly enrages her is when people try to cheat their way out of due punishments, especially when their attempts involve Judicial Replacements.
  • Time Abyss: Implied. She's noted to be one of Mortem's oldest daughters, though it's unknown whether if she's the oldest or merely just part of her parent's oldest children.

    Prince Ivory Star, the Gentlestallion

Classification: Ethereal/Ascendant

Portfolio: Heroism, Virtue, Belief, Innocence

Rank: Divine (Tier IV/Greater)

"As long as someone believes in heroes, the world will always remain a brighter place."

Prince Ivory Star (his entry here) is the Alicorn god of Heroism, Virtue, Belief, and Innocence, and is a beloved superhero from the Second Age who continues to inspire others with his deeds and presence.
  • Adaptational Badass: He starts off as just a ponified version of the Gentleman, being mostly a Flying Brick in terms of superpowers, though he does have a psychic connection with Innocent Heart that allows him to sense when his daughter's in danger and teleport to her location. After learning of his origins as a living psychic projection of a young filly's dead father and being forced to make a choice, he ultimately chose to keep the world's belief in superheroes alive, leading to him becoming an Alicorn god.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: He's an Alicorn god who embodies Heroism, Virtue, Belief, and Innocence.
  • Chronic Hero Syndrome: Like many superheroes of the Second Age, he had a tendency to suffer from this, being unwilling to abandon a person in need even though it would be advantageous of him to do so. In fact, his desire to protect and inspire people factored into his decision to keep living despite knowing he's not real. While he acknowledged that Innocent Heart did need to move on from her father's death and grow up, both she and many people also depended on him, and he couldn't bear to leave the world with one less hero. His choice led to him Ascending to godhood and gave him a life independent of Innocent Heart's psychic powers so he could become the hero everyone wanted him to be.
  • Clap Your Hands If You Believe: As the Alicorn god of Belief, his powers revolve around this. He can empower himself by becoming stronger, tougher, and faster as more people believe in him, and he can do the same for others by believing in them. He possesses healing powers, though the effectiveness of them is powered by the amount of belief people have in him. He also has a unique ability in sensing and perceiving people's beliefs, allowing him to influence people and make them change their beliefs. This makes him a highly charismatic stallion, though he loathes abusing his domain and only uses it to inspire people and help them change their ways. It's noted in his entry that his domain of Belief is very similar to Written Word's domain of Faith.
  • Dream People: What he really is. His grieving "daughter", Innocent Heart, created him as an idealized version of her real father, Strong Heart, who died saving people from an attack by Reichist sympathizers. Because of this, he looked exactly like Strong Heart in the beginning, sharing his appearance and all his good traits, though his existence depended entirely on Innocent Heart's Psychc Powers. The moment she lets go of him is the moment he disappears. But after going through an identity crisis and being shown the truth about the real Strong Heart's fate, he ultimately decides to Take a Third Option and continue living to keep the belief in superheroes alive rather than letting Innocent Heart continue living a lie, or letting himself fade away from existence to allow Innocent Heart to grow up, but depriving the world of another hero. This epiphany led to him becoming an Alicorn god and giving him a life of his own, getting rid of his dependency on Innocent Heart's Psychic Powers.
  • Embodiment of Virtue: As the Alicorn god of Virtue, he embodies all virtues, though he tends to gravitate more towards humility, kindness, and generosity. He can project an empathic aura that suppresses a person's inner vices, giving him a calming, relaxing presence. Like Blue Suede Heartstrings, he has a form of precognition that shows him a person's future depending on their morality and actions, allowing him to guide people into doing good deeds. And quite fittingly, he possesses divine purification powers that allow him to get rid of curses, corruption, and certain poisons, making him a nightmare for Fallen deities, demons, and other foul entities. It's noted that Golden Scepter helped him foster this aspect of his Virtue domain, being skilled in holy magic himself.
  • Expy: Of the Gentleman from Astro City. Both of them are sharply-dressed superheroes who are incredibly kind and polite even towards supervillains, and are both single fathers of young girls who dearly love them. They're also the product of grieving daughters who lost their fathers in a supervillain attack, and used their Psychic Powers to create idealized versions of their fathers to answer their grief and protect people in a world that needed heroes. Eventually, though, Ivory Star forges his own identity and even becomes an Alicorn god after doing many good deeds and choosing to keep the belief in superheroes alive instead of letting himself fade out of existence in order for Innocent Heart to move on.
  • Face Death with Dignity: He was willing to let himself fade out of existence, if it meant Innocent Heart could recover from her trauma of losing her real father and have a chance to live a normal life. But after seeing how sad Innocent Heart looked and remembering the people who depended on him, he chose to continue living as a superhero instead, leading to his Ascension and giving him a life of his own.
  • Faint in Shock: By his own admission, he fainted when he learned Golden Scepter and Revelation are the same person, Revelation being Golden Scepter's mortal disguise.
  • Flying Brick: He has the typical Second-Age superhero powers like flight and enhanced strength, endurance, and speed, with his only unique ability being a Psychic Link that allows him to sense when Innocent Heart is in danger and teleport to her location. This is because he's the idealized version of a stallion who died protecting his young daughter from a Reichist attack.
  • Heroic BSoD: Learning that the real Strong Heart had died long ago, outing him as a living figment of a grieving psychic filly's imagination and thus making his entire existence a lie, nearly broke him. While this left him with insecurities over whether he could live up to Strong Heart's memory or not, he thankfully had friends to assure him that he's still his own person. He also doesn't blame the people responsible for informing him of his true origins, since unlike Dr. Belief and Overmare, they genuinely cared for Innocent Heart and wanted to give her a normal life, even if they had to break her delusions to ensure her emotional recovery.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: After discovering that he was created as an idealized version of Innocent Heart's deceased father, he was willing to let himself fade out of existence so Innocent Heart could recover from the trauma of losing her father to Reichist sympathizers years ago, and finally live a normal life. However, seeing Innocent Heart's sadness and remembering the people who depended on him led to his decision to live as a superhero instead, leading to him Ascending to godhood and giving him a life of his own.
  • Humble Hero: Like Strong Heart, the stallion who inspired his creation, he is rather humble and kind. As a superhero, he helped people because he genuinely wanted to, and believes that a hero's duty is to protect the innocent and be a Hope Bringer for them. After becoming an Alicorn, he felt uncomfortable with being treated like a god, and faced pressure from traditionalist deities to act and dress properly according to his divine station. His humility led to him befriending Blue Suede Heartstrings, a similarly humble Alicorn, as they both sympathized with each other's awkwardness with being worshiped and being pressured to become proper deities.
  • Immune to Bullets: Bullets and laser beams don't affect him at all. This is because he was created as the idealized version of a grieving filly's dead father, who died in a Reichist attack. After Ascending to godhood, he kept this power.
  • Magic Hair: His mane and tail post-Ascension are described as being composed of black spatial energy with a blue stripe of light running through them.
  • The Magnificent: Known as "the Gentlestallion" for being a kind, humble, and polite stallion to everyone, even the bad guys he fights. It was also his superhero alias, back when he was a superhero in the Second Age.
  • Papa Wolf: He was very protective of Innocent Heart, and his feats include taking out a group of Reichist sympathizers by himself, and saving Innocent Heart from her boarding school's elderly headmistress who ran an underground pickpocketing ring. This is because he was created by a grieving psychic filly as an idealized version of her father who died protecting her and others from a Reichist attack. He comes to realize this later on, but while he chose to continue living as a hero and reconciled with Innocent Heart, their relationship changed to that of close friends. That being said, it doesn't stop him from acting fatherly towards her at times.
  • Psychic Powers: He mostly has telepathic and empathic abilities, with Virtue-based precognitive sight. His friend, Innocent Heart, is much more powerful to the point of bordering on Reality Warper levels.
  • Seers: As the embodiment of Virtue, he has a form of precognition that gives him visions of a person's future depending on their current morality and actions, allowing him to guide people to do good deeds. It's noted that it's similar to Blue Suede Heartstring's Humility-based precognition.
  • Sharp-Dressed Man: Much like the Gentleman, his superhero costume consists of a black tuxedo with coattails, a red sash, and a red buttonhole rose. He wears a divine version of this after he becomes an Alicorn.
  • Take a Third Option: After being shown the real Strong Heart's grave, he had to make a choice: Let Innocent Heart continue living a lie so he could continue living, or sacrificing his own existence so Innocent Heart could come to terms with her grief and move on. But the problem is, both Innocent Heart and the people of Ponyland needed him. He ultimately chooses to live as the ideal hero and protector so he could keep the belief in superheroes alive, leading to his Ascension to godhood and giving him a life independent of Innocent Heart's Psychic Powers.

    Prince Mercurial Rhapsody

Classification: Ethereal/Ascendant

Portfolio: Song, Performance, Endurance, Dreams

Rank: Divine (Tier IV/Greater)

Prince Mercurial Rhapsody (first introduced here) is the Alicorn god of Song, Performance, Endurance, and Dreams, and is a benevolent musician from the Second Age.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: He's an Alicorn god who embodies Song, Performance, Endurance, and Dreams.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: He's a benevolent musician, but one incident had him going Deadpan Snarker on someone who called him a sexual slur.
Prince Mercurial Rhapsody: Oh, that's cute, honey. Very cute. Tell you what, why don't you crawl back into the hole you came out of? You don't have to worry about dealing with people like me in there, y'know.
  • Camp Straight: He's known in the Second Age for his flamboyant stage persona, but he's pretty straight off-stage.
  • Determinator: Implied. To him, no matter what happens, the show must go on. He even embodies Endurance as a concept.
Prince Mercurial Rhapsody: The show MUST go on, darling!
  • Freddie Mercopy: He's essentially a version of Freddie Mercury who managed to survive and Ascend to godhood in the Codexverse. To hammer it in, both his name and motto take after two of his most iconic songs ("Bohemian Rhapsody" and "The Show Must Go On", respectively).
  • Historical Domain Superperson: Freddie Mercury was the frontman and singer of the band Queen, who tragically died of AIDS. Here, he lived long enough to Ascend to godhood as the Alicorn god of Song, Performance, Endurance, and Dreams.
  • No Celebrities Were Harmed: He's a Freddie Mercopy of Freddie Mercury, the deceased frontman of Queen, known for his flamboyant stage persona and his powerful voice. Unlike Freddie, who died of AIDS, Mercurial Rhapsody would Ascend and become an immortal Alicorn.

    Prince Rowan, the Crimson Defender

Classification: Ascendant

Portfolio: Chivalry, Knights, Honor

Rank: Demigod

Prince Rowan is the Deer demigod of Chivalry, Knights, and Honor, and is the older fraternal twin brother of Prince Golden Ash.

Princess Arcus Unicornia, the Rainbow Incarnate

Classification: Ascendant/Ethereal

Portfolio: Rainbows, Colors, Responsibility, Renewal

Rank: Divine (Tier III/Intermediate)

"There are times when one can play, and times when one should be responsible!"

Princess Arcus Unicornia, born Rarity (her entry here) is the Alicorn goddess of Rainbows, Colors, Responsibility, and Renewal, and is an extremely powerful goddess underneath her cheerful and childish persona.
  • Adaptational Angst Upgrade: She was deeply affected by the cataclysmic end of the Third Age (including the destruction of Unicornia) as well as her realization that absorbing the Rainbow Nexus gave her so much power that she could potentially end the world if she didn't master it. She fell into a Heroic BSoD and remained in the ruins of Unicornia, until her friends found her and helped her grieve, allowing her to move on. This didn't happen to the canon version of Rarity.
  • Adaptational Backstory Change: Her backstory is very similar to her canon counterpart's save for a few differences — for one, she was chosen by the Rainbow Wand itself to succeed the previous Princess of Unicornia and become its wielder. Her duty of creating a rainbow every season was expanded upon to make her responsible for restoring the world's colors every year, with severe ecological consequences should she fail. She later realizes how important her task is, taking it more seriously from then on. She became the official ruler of Unicornia once she came of age, and under Luminiferous, she Ascends to godhood, serving as one of the world's foremost defenders. When the Third Age ended partially due to the Oceanaiads' suicidal gambit, she desperately assimilated the entire Rainbow Nexus into herself to protect it from destruction. While she succeeded, the process turned her into a much older goddess with incredible raw power that could potentially end the world for good if she didn't master it, devastating her. With help from her friends, she recovered and used her power to permanently restore the world's colors, but was so exhausted that she entered dormancy until she reemerged in the Fourth Age.
  • Adaptational Badass: Rarity from My Little Pony (G3) was one of the show's stronger characters thanks to her Rainbow Wand, but was still a young Unicorn filly without it. Here, she is not only an Alicorn goddess, but also an extremely powerful one due to absorbing the Rainbow Nexus to protect it from being destroyed by the Oceanaiads' suicide gambit, thus saving Equus's colors. Even before that, she served as one of the foremost defenders of both Unicornia and the Third Age's Ponyland following her Ascension, defending both places from threats like the Old Cryptan Empire and the Shadowpact Empire. Her duty as a Rainbow Princess was also changed from creating rainbows each season to restoring the world's colors so the world itself isn't destroyed from the sheer ecological collapse that would follow if all the colors were lost.
  • Adaptation Name Change: Her name is Rarity in canon, but here, she is renamed "Princess Arcus Unicornia" to reflect her transformation into an Alicorn goddess and ruler of the now-ruined Third Age kingdom Unicornia.
  • All Your Powers Combined: As an Alicorn, she has the combined magics of all mortal Pony tribes.
  • Animalistic Abomination: Due to absorbing the entire Rainbow Nexus into herself to protect it from the Oceanaiads' final suicidal gambit, she aged much faster than her friends until she became a "Tier IV"-ranked goddess. By the present day, she became a huge Alicorn with a mane and tail made of sparkling rainbows, glowing eyes, and four wings with a rainbow-colored wing gradient. It's downplayed as while she's far more eldritch than her friends, who are presently "Tier III"-ranked deities, she's not as eldritch compared to "Antecedent", "Preeminent", or "Primeval"-ranked deities.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's an Alicorn goddess who embodies Rainbows, Colors, Responsibility, and Renewal.
  • The Apprentice: She became Luminiferious's apprentice after the rainbow festival.
  • Badass Teacher: She became a teacher for Princesses Gold Lily and Sterling, as well as Rainbow Dash, helping all three hone their rainbow/light-based powers. She herself is an Alicorn goddess of Rainbows, Colors, Responsibility, and Renewal; despite being quite young by divine standards, she's physically as old as Luminiferous and has incredible raw power thanks to absorbing an entire arcane nexus into herself. She also successfully managed to permanently restore the world's colors when before such a feat required the Rainbow Wand and a special ritual performed every year.
  • Barrier Maiden: As Princess of Unicornia, she was entrusted with the responsibility of restoring Equus' colors yearly using the Rainbow Wand. This is very important — Equus's magical field was severely damaged by the Void Sovereign during the "Void Aeon" event, and thus light's ability to become color went haywire, causing everything losing its color and turning greyscale. An entire planet losing its colors is far more dangerous than it sounds as it would effectively trigger an ecological collapse (among other cataclysmic problems) if it wasn't stopped. Unfortunately, she was too young and carefree to understand the ramifications of her role at the time and her constant goofing off nearly doomed everyone, forcing her to take her duties more seriously. It's later subverted following her Ascension; during the Third Age's end, she absorbed the entire Rainbow Nexus into herself to protect it from being destroyed by the Oceanaiads' suicide gambit, turning herself into a power source and giving her the means to permanently restore Equus' colors. Luminiferous admitted to helping her Ascend in the first place because she had potential to find a way to permanently fix the color problem, which is exactly what she did.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: While silly and childish, she's still a friendly and compassionate mare owing to her upbringing in the utopian Third Age. Once she grows out of her irresponsibility, she becomes a dependable Princess of Unicornia as well as one of the world's most prominent defenders against the Old Cryptan Empire that tried to Take Over the World multiple times. Later, her action of successfully absorbing the Rainbow Nexus into herself to protect it from the Oceanaiads' suicidal gambit led to her aging far faster than a typical deity, giving her massive arcane reserves as well as the power to obliterate mountains and mess with the planet's ecological/biologycal systems by altering its colors, making her a potential Person of Mass Destruction if she so chose.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: While she has greatly matured by the Fourth Age, she still remains carefree, childish, and fun-loving, which can make others dismiss her as being too immature for an Alicorn goddess and Princess. However, this is belied by how she is presently a living arcane mega reactor, the direct consequence of successfully assimilating an entire arcane nexus (specifically the Rainbow Nexus that powered the color-restoring ritual) into herself to protect it from destruction. This not only accelerated her physical and magical growth rates as a deity, but also made her far more powerful than a Third Age deity normally would be — so much that a casual blast from her obliterated a nearby mountain. And as a goddess of Colors, she can mess with the planet's ecosystems by messing with its colors if she chose to, making her a Person of Mass Destruction in practice.
  • The Big Guy: Of all the Alicorns who came out of the Third Age, she is the biggest of them in terms of raw power thanks to absorbing the Rainbow Nexus in its entirety. Of note, shortly after absorbing the Rainbow Nexus, she tested her power and discovered a casual blast became potent enough to obliterate a nearby mountain. She's also somewhat larger and older-looking due to the Rainbow Nexus accelerating her aging, which also made her stronger.
  • But Thou Must!: Exploited and invoked. As a goddess of Responsibility, she could see the responsibility others have or compel others to assume responsibility that they had assumed, whether or not they actually mean to fulfill their obligations. Dragon King Bahamut believes that Emperor Blackthorn let her be because she had the divine power to bind his sons, the various Changeling Kings, to their responsibilities when they counted.
  • Canon Character All Along: Justified. She's actually Rarity from My Little Pony (G3), but would later change her name to "Arcus Unicornia" after Ascending to godhood. Assimilating the Nexus of Rainbows into herself transformed her even further.
  • Cheerful Child: Like her canon counterpart, she was a carefree and cheerful, if irresponsible and hyperactive filly who preferred to goof off instead of tending to her duties as Princess of Unicornia. She has since matured, but now acts like her old self to a degree out of peresonal preference while still keeping her learned sense of responsibility.
  • The Chosen One: Twice.
    • The reason why she became the ruling Princess of Unicornia is because the Rainbow Wand chose her to be its wielder. Unfortunately, she was too young and carefree to understand the ramifications of this, and her decision to goof off instead of performing her duties nearly doomed the entire world. She realizes her mistake and becomes more mature afterward.
    • She ends up being chosen by Luminiferous to become one of his students. Luminiferous admitted that his reason for doing so is because she had potential to one day permanently fix the arcane damage that's causing Equus' colors to vanish without needing to perform a specific ritual every year. She ends up exceeding his expectations when, sometime after Ascending to godhood, she absorbed the Rainbow Nexus into herself to protect it from the Oceanaiads' suicide gambit, turning her into a power source and giving her the power to permanently restore Equus' colors.
  • Crossover Relatives: Both she and Rarity Belle of G4 were completely unrelated in their respective shows. Here, Rarity Belle is her Fourth Age descendant. Her competitiveness and love for roller-skating also caused In-Universe speculation that she might be the joint-ancestor of both Rarity Belle and the Fourth Age's Rainbow Dash.
  • Deity of Human Origin: She was initially a mortal Unicorn who later Ascended to godhood under Luminiferous' tutelage. Later, after absorbing the Rainbow Nexus to protect it from being destroyed by the Oceanaiads' suicidal gambit, she rapidly aged up until she became a "Tier IV"-ranked goddess at the time, and became a "Titan"-ranked goddess by the Fourth Age.
  • Energy Weapon: As a goddess of Rainbows, she can fire powerful beams of rainbow energy. Absorbing the Rainbow Nexus made her so powerful that her beams can destroy entire mountains.
  • Ermine Cape Effect: She wears prismatic barding as her usual attire.
  • Everything's Better with Rainbows: She's a rainbow-haired Unicorn mare with a rainbow-themed Cutie Mark and Rainbow Pony gene, and prior to her Ascension, she was the Princess of Unicornia with the task of restoring Equus' colors every year with the Rainbow Wand. After Ascending, she became a goddess of Rainbows, as well as Colors, Responsibility, and Renewal. Then, when the Oceanaiads performed a suicidal gambit that in part ended the Third Age out of spite, she absorbed the Rainbow Nexus into herself to protect it from being destroyed, turning her into a much more powerful and older goddess. Her unique transformation gave the power and means to permanently restore Equus' colors without needing the Rainbow Wand. Her Rainbows domain also allows her to manipulate rainbow energy, such as firing rainbow beams, creating rainbows for herself and others to ride on, and teleporting long distances through rainbows.
  • Force and Finesse: She's the "Force" to Grand Sorcerer Necraaiqed's "Finesse". After absorbing an entire magic nexus into herself to save it from destruction, she became so powerful that she can obliterate nearby mountains and affect the world's colors on possibly a global scale if she isn't careful, making her Unskilled, but Strong. By contrast, Necraaiqed, though far weaker in terms of raw power, is far more skilled with his magic and strategic in how he uses his spells. He even comments on this in his Badass Boast when they both reunite in the Fourth Age and prepare to battle each other:
Grand Sorcerer Necraaiqed: So be it! Where you have grown mighty, I had only grown wiser! Let us see whether power or skill shall prevail!
  • Gentle Giant: Though she's chronologically a much younger goddess, she's physically as old and tall as Luminiferous due to absorbing the entire Rainbow Nexus into herself, which accelerated her divine aging process to phenomenal degrees. She's also a friendly, compassionate, and carefree (if somewhat childish) goddess who knows when to be responsible for the people she cares about.
  • Glowing Eyes: After assimilating the Nexus of Rainbows into herself, she became so powerful that her eyes glow with a rainbow-colored light.
  • God Is Good: While very hyperactive and irresponsible in her mortal youth, she has since matured greatly, and went on to become a very powerful Alicorn goddess and one of Ponyland and Unicornia's most prominent defenders. Her character development also left her a very responsible and dependable goddess who tries to fulfill her promises every time she makes one, as emphasized by her domain of Responsibility. When the Oceanaiads executed their suicidal gambit that helped the Third Age, she bravely pulled a risky move to protect the Rainbow Nexus by absorbing it into herself entirely. Not only did she survive the experience, but she also became a living arcane mega reactor because of it, though she never lost her responsibility or compassion for others.
  • Good Wings, Evil Wings: Of the "Cluster" and "Multicolored" type. Despite being much younger, assimilating the Nexus of Rainbows both increased her natural magic reserves and accelerated her aging process to where she physically resembles "Titan"-ranked deities like Luminiferous, and has grown a second pair of wings. Her wings also have magical rainbow-colored wing gradients. All these mark her as a very powerful and benevolent goddess.
  • Healing Hands: As a goddess of Renewal, one thing she can do is heal the injured.
  • Heart Is an Awesome Power: As a goddess of Colors, she has the power to... manipulate colors. While useless on paper, her domain is quite useful in practice — not only she can change her own and other people's colors at will, but she also can manipulate light to cloak herself and/or her allies, or even up to entire armies. Her absorption of the Rainbow Nexus during the end of the Third Age essentially turned her into a living arcane mega reactor, allowing her to, at maximum, use her powers on a global scale. This potentially make her a Person of Mass Destruction with Lethal Harmless Powers as all life relies on colors to thrive, meaning she could cause ecological disasters if she chose to mess with or rid the world of its colors. It also makes her innate Rainbow Pony powers stronger, as her gene also revolves around light manipulation.
  • Heroic Lineage: She's a distant ancestor of the Fourth Age's Rarity Belle, a Mane Six heroine who would later Ascend to (demi-)godhood herself as Princess Lucia. However, her competitiveness and love for sports (especially roller-skating) caused In-Universe speculation that she also might be an ancestor to the Fourth Age's Rainbow Dash.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: She was willing to sacrifice herself to preserve the Rainbow Nexus by absorbing it into herself, not wanting the Oceanaiads to destroy the source of Equus' colors. This was an incredibly risky move, as she would either be destroyed by the sheer amount of magic, or put in a state where she had to remain dormant forever to keep the Rainbow Nexus stable, but she didn't care as long as the world wasn't destroyed along with its colors. Miraculously, she both succeeded in absorbing the Rainbow Nexus in its entirety and survived, though it left her forever changed.
  • I Gave My Word: If she says she'll do something, she will do it to the best of her ability. However, it's noted she just likes to make sure everyone is happy and enjoying themselves while they work.
  • Immortality Begins at Twenty: Subverted. Deities in the Codexverse become more powerful and eldritch as they age, and she is no exception. But because she absorbed the Nexus of Rainbows into herself to preserve Equus' colors, her aging process was accelerated, bringing her close to Luminiferous in height and allowing her to grow a second pair of wings much earlier than she normally would have. She's also much stronger magic-wise, but is largely Unskilled, but Strong and is capable of massive destruction if she's not careful.
  • Invisibility: As a goddess of Colors, she can cloak herself and others at will by manipulating light. Because she absorbed an entire magic nexus into herself to save it, her power skyrocketed to the point where she can cloak entire armies, with assistance from those who are able to cloak aspects not covered by her domains. This proved very helpful in events like the "New Crypta Conquests", the "Shadowpact Incursions", the "Giant Wars" and the "Exosus Conflict/Crisis" whenever heroic forces lacked numbers or sheer power.
  • It's All About Me: Despite being the Princess of Unicornia, she initially preferred to goof off and have fun, giving her teacher and regent, the Third Age's Cheerilee, no shortage of annoyance and grief. It's justified as being a young filly at the time, she couldn't properly comprehend the sheer responsibility of restoring the world's colors every year, or the long-lasting consequences if she failed. It's later deconstructed when she accidentally teleported herself to the Third Age's Ponyville and had fun there; without her to perform the yearly color-restoring ritual, the world slowly lost its colors, forcing her to rush back home and restore the colors before the world is potentially destroyed. This forced her to grow up and realize how her irresponsibility had hurt others in more ways than one, so she started taking her duties more seriously from then on.
  • Karmic Jackpot: Though it took the world nearly ending for her to do it, she realizes how irresponsible she had been the entire time and started taking her duties as Princess of Unicornia more seriously. Her newfound maturity in part got her discovered by Luminiferous, who saw her potential to permanently restore the world's colors, and trained her to Ascend to godhood.
  • Lethal Harmless Powers: Her domain of Colors doesn't look very impressive on paper, but in practice it has potential to be devastating on a global scale. As color manipulation involves light manipulation to a degree, she could choose to shut down colors on all wavelengths and turn everything greyscale, which could have massive consequences on all lifeforms — from blinding all animals, to shutting down photosynthesis in plants and collapsing entire ecosystems. In a way, this ironically makes her a Person of Mass Destruction since her original duty was to prevent the world from losing its colors, which she eventually resolved permanently.
  • Light 'em Up: One power granted by her Rainbow Pony mutation is light manipulation, since both her fur and hair act as solar panels that convert light into mana and other forms of energy. With her absorption of an entire magic nexus (specifically, the Rainbow Nexus), her mutant powers drastically increased since her domains of Rainbows and Colors also involved light manipulation.
  • Living MacGuffin: Presently, she is one. Colors are vital to Equus' environment because of the sheer number of creatures that rely on colors to thrive, and without them, the ecological impact would be devastating. Being someone who absorbed the arcane nexus the world relied on to restore the world's colors every year, this means that if she were compromised in any way or she didn't learn how to master her newfound power, all the world's colors would be lost and the world destroyed as a consequence. Dragon King Bahamut theorizes that, despite having every chance to steal the Rainbow Nexus for himself, Emperor Blackthorn instead chose to leave her be — even protecting her when she was at her most vulnerable — because even he recognizes that messing with the world's colors for the sake of power would end badly for him.
  • Lovable Jock: Despite being a Princess even in her mortal life, she's actually quite competitive and loves sports, with roller-skating being her favorite. It doesn't stop her from being cheerful, fun-loving, and friendly to everyone.
  • Magic Hair: Post-Ascension, her mane and tail became composed of sparkling rainbows, especially after assimilating the Nexus of Rainbows into herself.
  • Magic Wand: In her mortal youth, she possessed the Rainbow Wand, and as Princess of Unicornia, it was her duty to use the Rainbow Wand to conduct a yearly ritual that restored all of Equus' colors. After she Ascended to godhood and later absorbed an entire magic nexus into herself, she used the Rainbow Wand to perform a more powerful version of the color-restoring ritual to permanently restore Equus' colors. While she succeeded, the sheer power used for it overloaded the Rainbow Wand and rendered it broken beyond repair.
  • Meaningful Name:
    • Her birth name, Rarity, is a term referring to the state of being rare. She was a young Unicorn who happened to be The Chosen One, tasked with performing a special ritual that restored the world's colors every year. Later, she ends up becoming a student of Luminiferous and Ascending under his wing because (by Luminiferous' admission) she had the potential to permanently repair the arcane damage that necessitated the ritual to begin with. She ends up fulfilling Luminiferous' expectations when she successfully managed to assimilate the Rainbow Nexus into herself in a moment of desperation, giving her the power to finally finish her original task.
    • Her Alicorn name, Arcus Unicornia, is a twofold example. Arcus translates to "rainbow" in Latin, referring to her status as an extremely powerful Alicorn goddess of Rainbows and Colors who's presently holding an entire arcane nexus within her own body. Unicornia refers to the Third Age kingdom she once lived in and ruled over when she came of age, though it was destroyed when the Third Age ended.
  • Meaningful Rename: Her birth name was Rarity, but after Ascending to godhood, she was dubbed Princess Arcus Unicornia as part of an ancient Alicorn tradition, making her the official ruler of her namesake Third Age kingdom. Arcus means "rainbow" in Latin, referring to her status as a goddess of Rainbows and Colors who is presently extremely powerful due to absorbing an entire arcane nexus into herself.
  • Mentor Archetype: In the Fourth Age, she would become a mentor for individuals like Princesses Gold Lily and Sterling, and Rainbow Dash, teaching them how to hone their rainbow/light-based powers. It's a task that's rather fitting since she's a goddess of Rainbows and Colors.
  • Moving Beyond Bereavement: She was devastated by both the Third Age's destruction and the daunting prospect of having to master the vast power she gained from absorbing the Rainbow Nexus, and largely remained in the ruins of Unicornia. Fortunately, her friends would find and comfort her, allowing her to grieve and move on.
  • Mr. Fixit: As a goddess of Renewal, she could not only repair objects like damaged artifacts, but also heal injuries and devastated environments. This turned out to be a very useful power to have, considering her original duty in restoring the planet's colors and her present capacity for destruction.
  • Mutants: She's noted to be a Rainbow Pony, which gives her powers like light and rainbow manipulation. Becoming a goddess of Rainbows and assimilating the Nexus of Rainbows into herself enhanced her natural powers to a phenomenal degree.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: She realized how her irresponsibility endangered everyone when she saw that Equus' colors were vanishing one by one, something that she was trained to prevent yet ignored in favor of goofing around. She was able to perform the necessary ritual, but the incident made her become more mature and dutiful.
  • One-Steve Limit: Averted; her birth name as a mortal was Rarity, a name she shares with her Fourth Age descendant, Rarity Belle. It's later played straight when she Ascended to godhood under Luminiferous' tutelage, upon which she was renamed Princess Arcus.
  • Only the Chosen May Wield: While stories of the Third Age claimed the Princess of Unicornia was randomly chosen each year, the truth was that she was specifically chosen by the Rainbow Wand to wield it and succeed her predecessor. This led to her being put under the instruction of her superior, Regent Cheerilee, though she didn't understand the full weight of her position and frequently goofed off until the near end of the world forced her to mature.
  • Our Gods Are Different: She's an Ascendant deity, regarded In-Universe to be the rarest of the three main types of deities, and like all deities in the Codexverse, she becomes bigger, stronger, and more eldritch the 'older' she is. And as an Alicorn, she's essentially an Ethnic God who represents all mortal Pony tribes and has access to all of their tribal magics. She's also an example of what happens when a deity undergoes Rapid Aging via certain circumstances — due to absorbing the entire Nexus of Magic to save it from being destroyed by the Oceanaiads' final suicidal attack, she is physically aged up until she is roughly as old as Luminiferous, with tremendous magic reserves and having grown a second pair of wings just like him.
  • Our Titans Are Different: Despite being ranked at "Tier III" chronologically, her assimilation of the entire Rainbow Nexus into herself when she was a "Tier II"-ranked goddess accelerated her divine aging drastically. Physically, she's as old as her former mentor, Luminiferous, having just grown a second pair of wings whereas her friends, who all Ascended to godhood, only have one pair.
  • Person of Mass Destruction: Due to absorbing an entire arcane nexus into herself, she now has the power to blow holes in mountains with a casual blast, manipulate colors on a continental scale (which is much more dangerous than it sounds considering that everything in the world depends on colors to survive), and cause widespread destruction in general. Fortunately, she wouldn't do all the aforementioned things unless she has to, and she is being taught by Emperor Golden Scepter to control her powers better.
  • Pink Means Feminine: As in canon, she has carnation-pink fur, and she's a carefree, friendly, and compassionate yet somewhat childish mare, despite being an extremely powerful goddess who absorbed the entire Rainbow Nexus into herself to save the world from losing its colors.
  • Pretty Princess Powerhouse: She's a fun-loving and cheerful Alicorn Princess from the Third Age who happens to have enough raw power to rival vastly older deities like Luminiferous, blow apart mountains with test shots, and manipulate color-related phenomena on a continental scale.
  • Politically-Active Princess: Subverted at first; when she was chosen by the Rainbow Wand to wield it, she became the Princess of Unicornia, but her only duty at the time was performing the yearly ritual that restored the world's colors. Much of her other duties were handled by her regent, the Third Age's Cheerilee, who also trained her until she came of age. Being a young filly at the time, she kept shirking her duty as the Rainbow Princess until her irresponsibility nearly caused a global apocalypse when she neglected to perform the color-restoring ritual. The maturity she gained from it allowed her to Ascend later under Luminiferous' tutelage, and she officially took over as the ruling Princess of Unicornia, ruling it until the end of the Third Age. While Unicornia no longer exists, she still has her Princess title and she has helped oppose the New Cryptan Empire in the Fourth Age since her public reemergence.
  • Rags to Royalty: As in canon, she was likely an ordinary Unicorn until she was chosen by the Rainbow Wand to become its wielder and succeed her predecessor, the previous Princess of Unicornia. Though she initially didn't take her duties seriously, she eventually matured after realizing her actions had potentially long-lasting consequences, and became the official ruler of Unicornia once she came of age. When she Ascended to godhood as an Alicorn under Luminiferous' tutelage, she was dubbed Princess Arcus Unicornia after her namesake kingdom. Even after Unicornia fell in the end of the Third Age, she still keeps her name and title.
  • Rainbows and Unicorns: As in canon, she was Third Age Unicorn who's heavily associated with rainbows. Both her mane and tail are rainbow-colored, she was a Princess of Unicornia chosen to wield the Rainbow Wand to restore the world's colors every year, and under Luminiferous' tutelage, she Ascended to godhood as the Alicorn goddess of Rainbows. During the end of the Third Age, she absorbed the entire Rainbow Nexus into herself to save it from being destroyed by the Oceanaiads' suicidal gambit, aging her up and making her much more powerful than before. While the daunting prospect of having to master such raw power devastated her, it also gave her the means to permanently restore the world's colors (give or take a few missed "scars") so no one would have to rely on the Rainbow Wand or the yearly ritual she once performed.
  • Rapid Aging: A positive example. Her absorption of an entire Nexus of Magic from the Castle of Rainbows caused her divine aging process to become drastically accelerated. This is a good thing for her as deities in the Codexverse become Stronger with Age, meaning that she's quickly growing more powerful than she would have if she aged normally like her friends when they Ascended.
  • Rebellious Princess:
    • Deconstructed in her mortal youth. As a young filly, she couldn't comprehend her role as Princess of Unicornia and the one to maintain Equus' colors, so instead she would play and goof off, much to the frustration of her mentor, Regent Cheerilee. This behavior came to a head when she ends up in Ponyville after accidentally teleporting herself there. While she did befriend the locals (including the Third Age's Rainbow Dash), her absence nearly led to a catastrophe as Equus lost its colors one by one without her to maintain them. Thankfully, she was able to get back in time and perform the necessary ritual, but the incident forced her to realize how her irresponsibility endangered everyone and matured as a result.
    • Zigzagged come the Fourth Age. Her cheerful and fun-loving personality, as well as her refusal to let her royal position affect her friendships with others, would cause many deities of that Age to see her as rebellious by their standards. Some divine royals tried to pressure her into acting like a "proper" deity, to which she would respond by pointing out her behavior was proper for a deity in the empathy-driven Third Age.
  • Ride the Rainbow: As a goddess of Rainbows, she can create rainbows for herself and others to ride on.
  • Took a Level in Badass: She was originally a mortal Unicorn Princess with a wand that has the power to restore the world's colors, yet with little understanding of why the wand or her role as Princess is so important. After a near-disaster caused by her irresponsibility forced her to mature, she would take her duties more seriously until she became a student of Luminiferous. This led to her becoming an Alicorn goddess and one of Unicornia and the Third Age's Ponyland's major defenders. She became even more powerful when she successfully absorbed the Rainbow Nexus into herself to prevent Equus' colors from permanently vanishing during the Third Age's cataclysmic end — an act that accelerated her divine aging and power to phenomenal degrees. Not only is she as 'old' as Luminiferous physically, but her powers were also boostd to the point where a casual blast now obliterated a mountain.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: She was initially a rather carefree, hyperactive, and irresponsible filly who would rather have fun and make friends instead of attending to her duties as the chosen Princess of Unicornia, frustrating her mentor, Regent Cheerilee. After goofing off one time too many and barely succeeding in averting disaster in the nick of time, she became a dutiful and responsible princess upon realizing just how important her task is and the consequences of her neglecting her role. Her sense of responsibility went to the point that she embodied Responsibility as a concept when she ascended.
  • Underestimating Badassery: On the receiving end; Princess Stitching Time is both shocked and incredulous to find that she acts like a "careless filly" despite essentially being a living, walking arcane mega reactor.
Princess Stitching Time: Wait, so that gal...
Princess Jiniri: Yes yes yes. She absorbed the entire arcane nexus in the Castle of Rainbows.
Princess Stiching Time: So she's pretty much a living arcane mega reactor?!
    Princess Jiniri: Pretty much.
Princess Stitching Time: But she acts...
Princess Jiniri: Like a careless filly? Please don't judge a book by its cover. She has gone a long way...
  • Unskilled, but Strong: Her feat of absorbing the entire Rainbow Nexus left her so powerful that she discovered a casual blast obliterated a nearby mountain. This contributed to her Heroic BSoD as she realized she had to train herself lest she risk ending the world again. Thankfully, she had several millennia worth of practice and Emperor Golden Scepter has been teaching her how to hone her powers further, but she still relies on overwhelming power more than she does skill.
  • Walking the Earth: After reawakening in the Fourth Age, she would travel the world, helping sapientkind wherever she went, though she occasionally had fun.
  • Winged Unicorn: She's described as a carnation-pink Alicorn with a mane and tail composed of sparkling rainbows, and wings with a magical rainbow gradient. After absorbing the Nexus of Rainbows, her divine 'age' was rapidly accelerated to the point where she's close to Luminiferous in height and has grown a second pair of wings.
  • World-Healing Wave: As a goddess of Renewal, she can fix devastated environments. Her entire portfolio also allows her to do this in an unusual way — as Equus' magic background field was damaged during the Void Aeon, the world began losing its colors, which would spell disaster for all life as a whole. Her Ascending to godhood and absorbing the Rainbow Nexus into herself allowed her to drastically empower Unicornia's ritual used to restore the world's colors for a year until she permanently restored all colors to the world. Unfortunately, this feat not only destroyed the Rainbow Wand beyond repair, but also tired her out and required her to enter a long slumber to recover her strength.
  • Worthy Opponent: During the Third Age, she gained a number of them among the Cryptans, such as Grand Sorcerer Necraaiqed, her Archenemy and Cryptan equivalent, due to her being one of the most prominent defenders of both Unicornia and Third-Age Ponyland. Since both sides' reemergence in the Fourth Age, the sentiment hasn't changed, though both she and Necraaiqed were shocked (and a bit horrified) to see how much they each had changed from the last time they fought.
  • Xenafication: Rarity of My Little Pony (G3) was a Unicorn filly armed with a Rainbow Wand, which had the power to create rainbows and restore colors. Here, in addition to her canon abilities, she eventually Ascends to godhood under Luminiferous' tutelage as an Alicorn, and becomes one of both Unicornia and Ponyland's major defenders, earning the respect of the Third Age's Old Cryptan Empire at the time. At the end of the Third Age, when the Oceanaiads enacted their suicidal gambit, she absorbed the entire Rainbow Nexus into herself and miraculously survived, in the process empowering herself so drastically that she is presently equal to Luminiferous in both age and divine power. Of note, shortly after her aforementioned deed, she tested her powers and discovered a casual blast obliterated a nearby mountain.
  • Younger Than They Look: Due to assimilating the Nexus of Rainbows in its entirety by herself, her aging process was rapidly accelerated. Thus, while being far younger, she looks about as old as Luminiferous and has already grown her second set of wings.

Princess Diamond Lace, the Beautiful Actress

Classification: Ethereal/Ascendant

Portfolio: Beauty, Acting, Confidence, History

Rank: Divine (Tier IV/Greater)

Princess Diamond Lace, born Whispering Heart, is the Alicorn goddess of Beauty, Acting, Confidence, and History, and is one of Ponyland's most popular actresses and pop culture icons.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's an Alicorn goddess who embodies Beauty, Acting, Confidence, and History.
  • Badass Teacher: She was a mentor to Princess Praline, and she's an ancient and powerful goddess from the Second Age.
  • The Cavalry: She was part of the effort to find Princess Praline in the early Third Age, leading the charge with Prince Star Cut to rescue his wife from Queen Eclaira. Justified in that Diamond Lace was one of Praline's mentors.
  • Cool Big Sis: She's implied to have this relationship with Blue Suede Heartstrings, her honorary 'younger brother'.
  • Elvis Lives: Much like Blue Suede, who is based on Elvis Presley, she never died from a drug overdose (as was suspected to be the cause of Marilyn Monroe's death in real life) and instead lived long enough to Ascend to godhood.
  • Hidden Depths: Implied; the fact that she has History as one of her domains shows that she's much more intelligent than she appears. This is a reference to Marilyn Monroe, who was a huge history buff in regards to Abraham Lincoln.
  • Historical Domain Superperson: Marilyn Monroe was one of the most popular actresses, models and pop culture icons in American history. Here, she lived long enough to Ascend to godhood under Luminiferous, becoming the Alicorn goddess of Beauty, Acting, Confidence, and History.
  • Hot God: Gender-inverted. Being based on Marilyn Monroe means that she was beautiful as a mortal, but becoming an Alicorn goddess of Beauty made her look even more stunning.
  • Like Brother and Sister: Her relationship with Blue Suede Heartstrings is implied to be this, as Blue Suede is described as being her honorary 'younger brother' in one Codex drabble.
  • The Magnificent: Known as "the Beautiful Actress".
  • Meaningful Rename: Her birth name was Whispering Heart. She changed her name to her current one when she became a star.
  • Mentor Archetype: She was one of Princess Praline's mentors and led the charge with Praline's husband Prince Star Cut to find and rescue her from Praline's Arch-Enemy Queen Eclaira during the plot that would lead to Eclaira ascending to godhood.
  • My Greatest Failure: Despite being quite outspoken with her disgust towards "Colonel" Hollow Note, she was ultimately unable to prevent him from abusing Blue Suede Heartstrings, her honorary 'younger brother'. Granted, Hollow Note would sabotage the careers of anyone who tried to separate him from his client, but Diamond Lace considers her inaction her greatest regret.
  • No Celebrities Were Harmed: She's based on Marilyn Monroe, one of America's preeminent actresses, models, and singers and a major pop culture icon. Unlike Marilyn, though, she avoided her death via drug overdose at age 36 and instead Ascended to become a goddess thanks to the influence, support, and guidance of Luminiferous.
  • Sexy Mentor: She was this for Princess Praline and presumably others: Intelligent, understanding, knowledgeable, supportive, and also one of Ponyland's most attractive pop culture icons and, by Praline's time, a bonafide goddess of Beauty.

'Princess' Eris, the Spirit of Luck

lassification: Ethereal

Portfolio: Luck, Gambling, Random Chance

Rank: Divine (Tier III/Intermediate)

"Got a problem with me liking destructive chaos? Well, unlucky you, the arrow landed on the wrong slide..."

'Princess' Eris (her entry here) is the goddess of Luck, Gambling, and Random Chance, and is an unpredictable individual of questionable morality who was one part of Discord's inner circle during his stint of villainy.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's a goddess of unknown species (though it's speculated she was originally a Draconequus) who embodies Luck, Gambling, and Random Chance.
  • Black Sheep: If her being a daughter of Kaos is true, then she is this to her family. Despite Kaos' family being chaotic in nature, she ends up being disowned by them because she had absolutely no remorse for (among other things) deciding to switch from being a chaotic yet dutiful scion to an incredibly vile Fallen goddess simply For the Evulz. The fact that Kaos reacted with cold indifference upon being questioned about her speaks volumes of his relationship with her.
  • Blue-and-Orange Morality: She decides her entire character and morality based off of random chance by spinning a wheel, and changes completely every few thousand years when it amuses her. She doesn't view anything wrong with this, rather she treats it with as much seriousness as changing a hat.
  • Bratty Teenage Daughter: After several millennia of being a dutiful daughter of Kaos, she decided on a whim to start behaving like a rebellious, bratty teenager without warning.
  • Co-Dragons: She was one of Discord's during his reign until Cosmos, wanting to remove any rivals for the attention/affections of her "Darling D", had her banished to another dimension.
  • The Dutiful Son: Her earliest years as a goddess consisted of her being a "picture-perfect" Draconequus who did her duty of using her domains for constructive purposes with utmost diligence. Then she decided to start switching between good and evil without warning, and it got worse from there, leading in part to Kaos disowning her out of disgust.
  • Dystopian Edict: Borderline case, but 'Princess' Eris' participation in Discord's rampage led to a controversial rule among the gods of Equus after the 'War Against Chaos', later formalized by all member gods and pantheons of the Cosmic Council. The 'Eris Doctrine', as it would be known as, calls for any god or god-level entity with a similarly unpredictable moral framework/mentality to be... 'dealt with' as soon as found. This is not, however, out of bigotry or persecution for those who possess a different moral outlook or thinking process, at least as insisted by its proponents. The idea behind is that they simply cannot afford to have unpredictable beings with that level of power running around, suddenly turning evil or destructive without warning or reason, since by the time people who can stop it could realize what happened, catastrophic damage would had already been done. Consider why a crazy, unstable dictator getting their hands on Weapons of Mass Destruction is a terrifying prospect, then take it to literally god-like levels. Despite the controversy, everyone abides by it because as 'Princess' Eris and all the damage she and other similar beings later on would cause demonstrated, they simply have no other choice.
Princess Radiant Rapier: Would any sane being want someone like her right next a button that says 'Destroy the World' and just hope she won't decide to press it one day because it amuses her?
  • Divine Parentage: It's likely that she's a daughter of Kaos, the Grand Primeval god of Chaos, which makes her a sister of Discord. She got disowned by her family because she would switch between being good and evil without warning simply because she could and had no remorse for it.
  • For the Evulz: What likely got her disowned by Kaos. Unlike Discord, whose villainy was implied to have been a series of tragedies that shaped him into the vile Fallen god he once was, her stint in villainy was purely for selfish reasons, switching between personas as a benevolent goddess and an evil one to satisfy her own boredom. To Kaos, the fact that she would do this without a shred of remorse, not even for constructive purposes, is what warranted her disownment as one of his daughters.
  • God Is Good: During her stint as a member of the Old Equestrian Pantheon, she was a saintly, benevolent goddess who helped spread good luck and rehabilitated gambling addicts, and was described as being the kindest and most gentle person one could ever meet. It made her decision to pull a Face–Heel Turn and join the likes of Discord, then an evil Mad God, all the more shocking to her mortal Equestrian subjects.
  • It Amused Me: Unlike Discord and her fellow Co-Dragons, her motivations are less pure sadism and more to amuse herself: She changes her entire character and morality every few thousand years when she grows bored with them and good and evil to her are less serious moral choices and more like changing a hat. This is probably why Kaos (who may or may not be her biological father) has cut off all ties with her, compared to Discord whom he remained sympathetic towards and desired his redemption.
  • I Have No Son!: She was essentially disowned by her (possible) father, Kaos, the Grand Primeval god of Chaos. This is treated as surprising In-Universe as both she and Discord are siblings who embody some form of Chaos and turned to villainy at some point in their lives. However, the difference was that Discord's villainy was implied to have involved a lamentable downward spiral (with one factor being that his birth father is the Void Sovereign), while Eris essentially woke up one day and decided to switch randomly between the personas of a benevolent, dutiful goddess and an incredibly vile Fallen goddess at the drop of a hat For the Evulz without a shred of remorse. It's like a parent dealing with a child who was once the apple of their eye but decided to commit horrible crimes for no other reason than to indulge themselves.

Princess Flourishing Nightingale, the Lady with the Lamp

Classification: Ascendant

Portfolio: TBA

Rank: Divine (Tier IV/Greater)

"The very first requirement in a hospital is that it should do the sick no harm."

Princess Flourishing Nightingale (first introduced here) is an Alicorn goddess who remains one of the foremost deities in healing and medicine.
  • Abstract Apotheosis: She Ascended to godhood as an Alicorn, but specifically Ascended as a non-Death deity so she could return to life and do more good things for the world.
  • Back from the Dead: Like the real-life Florence Nightingale, she still died, but here she had the option to return to life by Ascending as a non-Death deity, which she did a century later.
  • Historical Domain Superperson: While Florence Nightingale was a very accomplished woman when she was alive, her Codexverse expy goes even further by becoming an Alicorn goddess over a century after her death so she could continue contributing to the world of medicine.
  • The Magnificent: Known as "the Lady with the Lamp", another dead-ringer for the real-life person she's based on.
  • Meaningful Name: Her name is a dead-ringer for her historical inspiration, Florence Nightingale.
  • No Historical Figures Were Harmed: She's based on Florence Nightingale, who not only founded modern nursing, but was also a social reformer and statistician.
  • Winged Unicorn: After over a century of training, she Ascends to godhood as an Alicorn goddess, specifically so she could come back to life and continue healing patients.

Princess Wysteria, the Maiden of Spring

Classification: Ascendant/Ethereal

Portfolio: Spring, Leadership, Groundskeepers

Rank: Divine (Tier III/Intermediate)

Princess Wysteria (her entry here) is the Alicorn goddess of Spring, Leadership, and Groundskeepers, and a humble mare who more than earned her position and power with her humility.
  • Abstract Apotheosis: She eventually Ascended to godhood as the Alicorn goddess of Spring, Leadership, and Groundskeepers in part thanks to Blue Suede Heartstrings' tutelage.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's an Alicorn goddess who embodies Spring, Leadership, and Groundskeepers.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Despite being a born leader and eventual goddess, she is a humble and mature mare who loved her friends so much that she declared everyone Princesses and made herself Just the First Citizen so she wouldn't feel isolated from them. And due to being born in the empathy-driven Third Age, she's very compassionate, empathetic, and lacking in genuine malice, insisting on helping others even though she shouldn't as Ponyville royalty. That being said, she's willing to fight if the situation calls for it, and she's still a powerful goddess from the Third Age who is 10,000 years old at maximum.
  • The Chosen One: Twice.
    • She was specifically chosen by the Viridian Flower (which she initially thought was a weed) to be its user, granting her plant and flower magic and the ability to induce fertility in all plants. Her status as the Viridian Flower's wielder was what caused her to be made Princess of Ponyville by the Third Age's Spike.
    • She would be one of many Ponyvillers who were deemed worthy of godhood by Luminiferous, who introduced her to Blue Suede Heartstrings knowing their Humble Hero personalities resonated with each other. She would eventually prove herself worthy of Luminiferous' expectations when she succeeds in Ascending, becoming the Alicorn goddess of Spring, Leadership, and Groundskeepers.
  • Chronic Hero Syndrome: One of her flaws. She has a habit of being unable to resist helping others in need, even when it comes at the cost of overworking herself.
  • Deity of Human Origin: She was originally an Earthpony like in canon, until Luminiferous came and introduced her to her future mentor, Blue Suede Heartstrings, after taking note of her Humble Hero personality. Under Blue Suede's tutelage, she would eventually Ascend to godhood as the Alicorn goddess of Spring, Leadership, and Groundskeepers, though she would follow her mentor's hoofsteps and keep her birth name out humility, instead of taking a new name like most of her Ascendant friends did.
  • Discard and Draw: As a Twice as Fancy Pony, her tribal Pony magic was weakened in favor of strengthening her Cutie Mark-related magic.
  • Domain Holder: As a goddess of Groundskeepers, she becomes this when placed in charge of certain areas. She becomes far more powerful inside them, and gains unique powers such as a specialized form of omniscience similar to that possessed by Cellarius, and low-level reality-warping which she can use to heavily fortify the areas she's protecting (though she mostly uses them to help better maintain said areas). However, in order to be effectively made a 'groundskeeper' of an area, she has to be put in charge of it by someone who actually owns it, and she can only use her domain for defensive purposes unless she applies Loophole Abuse.
  • The Empath: As a goddess of Leadership, she is an empath capable of sensing bitterness and mistrust in her subjects so she can counter them.
  • Face Palm: She facehoofed upon learning the Third Age's Spike had extremely outdated standards of how a Princess should act and behave, meaning that she had the option of acting more or less as she did when she was just Ponyville's chief organizer. However, she didn't blame or resent Spike for it as she acknowledged he was asleep for a thousand years.
  • Flower Motifs: She is heavily associated with the wisteria flower, and like in canon, she is named after it. Wisterias generally represent long life and immortality, and she's a mortal Pony who eventually Ascended to godhood and became an Alicorn. in Japanese kabuki theatre, wisterias represent things like love, support, and tenderness, and she is a compassionate mare who cares for both her friends and the people she leads.
  • Food God: As a goddess of Spring, she can project a magical aura that promotes fertility in both plants and animals, similar to Fertility deities. This presumably leads to the production of more food.
  • God in Human Form: Much like her mentor, Blue Suede Heartstrings, she would often assume a mortal form to avoid unwanted attention, due to being uncomfortable with treated differently from others just because she's a divine Princess.
  • Green Thumb: As a goddess of Spring, she is capable of using plant magic. She can create use plant life for offensive, defensive, and even supportive roles, and she can project a magical aura that promotes fertility in plants, making her similar to Fertility deities. Her Viridian Flower artifact, which she was chosen to wield, greatly enhances her powers.
  • Heroic BSoD: After entering a dormant state to heal injuries sustained from protecting her mortal friends from the Oceanaiads' final suicidal attack, she would wake up in the Fourth Age and discover the world had lost its empathy and became a place rife with tribalism/racism. Understandably, she felt incredibly upset and heartbroken, but Blue Suede Heartstrings (along with her surviving friends) would find her and help her come to terms with her grief.
  • Heroic Lineage: She's a blood descendant of Second Age heroine Starlight, and thus inherited/emulated her ancestor's dutiful personality and talent for leadership. Later, it would become a case of Divine Parentage once Starlight herself comes Back from the Dead as an Alicorn goddess.
  • Humble Hero: She's very humble, and despite being a Princess, she feels uncomfortable with being treated differently from others just because she's royalty (though she does like certain aspects of being a Princess, such as access to regal outfits). Her humility is what led to Luminiferous introducing her to Blue Suede Heartstrings, an Alicorn god of Humility who possesses a similarly humble nature. After Ascending to godhood under Blue Suede's tutelage, she would turn down taking an Alicorn name in favor of keeping her original one, and often assumes a mortal form to avoid attracting unwanted attention. It also led to her getting along with Emperor Golden Scepter, who shares her discomfort with being put on a pedestal.
  • Immortality Begins at Twenty: Subverted. Because deities only get Stronger with Age in the Codexverse, she will only become more powerful and eldritch when she gets 'older'. As a "Intermediate"-ranked Alicorn goddess, she has a rippling mane made of life energy, but lacks the magical wing gradient that older Alicorns possess.
  • Just the First Citizen: When she was made Princess of Ponyville, she quickly grew tired and miserable, not only because of the ridiculous rules she had to obey as royalty, but also her position restricted her from interacting with her friends. This fueled her decision to make everyone in Ponyville Princesses (excluding Cold Heart, who was out of town at the time and rudely demanded for the title when she got back), making her first among the Princesses and allowing her to be with her friends again.
  • The Leader: As a goddess of Leadership, she is essentially this trope, possessing Psychic Powers designed to counter bitter, distrustful feelings among her subjects and help her coordinate her forces better, as well as instinctive knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of her subordinates and how to utilize them best. Even as a mortal, she was skilled in leading and planning and was often called upon by Ponyville during events for this. It's noted that she's the direct descendant of Starlight, a Second Age superheroine and member of the Virtuous Seven, which explains why she's so talented in leadership.
  • Lonely at the Top: She quickly grew miserable as Princess of Ponyville in part because her royal position prevented her from interacting with her friends. Her choice to make everyone else in Ponyville Princess and leave herself the first among Princesses was her way to resolve the problem.
  • Loophole Abuse: While her Groundskeepers domain makes her very powerful and is one of her most dangerous domains, she can only use her powers defensively. The only way she can directly attack someone with her domain is if she uses certain loopholes.
  • Magic Hair: Her mane and tail are made of life energy that waves like the spring breeze and (somehow) always smells of flowers.
  • The Magnificent: Known as "the Maiden of Spring", due to being the Alicorn goddess of Spring and the chosen wielder of the Viridian Flower, which granted her downscaled versions of the powers she now possesses back when she was still mortal.
  • Meaningful Rename: Averted. When she Ascended to godhood, she refused to take on an Alicorn name out of humility, which is largely thanks to Blue Suede Heartstrings' influence.
  • Mutants: She's a 'Twice as Fancy' Pony, and thus her Cutie Mark (pink and liliac-collored wisteria flowers) covers most of her hind legs. Given how the mutation works, her tribal Pony magic is weakened while her magic relating to her Cutie Mark is strengthened beyond what it normally is.
  • Nice Guy: Due to being born in the Third Age, which was renowned for its worldwide empathy, she's an extremely empathetic and compassionate mare. However, it doesn't stop her from being willing to fight enemies if necessary.
  • Our Gods Are Different: She's an "Ascendant deity", described In-Universe as the rarest of the three main types of deities.
  • Personality Powers: Her portfolio is tied to various aspects of her personality — her Spring domain refers to her love for gardening, her Leadership domain refers to her natural leadership skills despite her distaste for the rules of her position, and her Groundskeepers domain refers to her role as a guardian of both Third Age Ponyland and sapient Ponykind in general.
  • Punny Name: Her name spells and sounds similar to "hysteria", referring to her tendencies to have freak-outs that stem from an innate sense of perfectionism. Notably, an incident in her youth led to her having a comical freak-out upon seeing a weed (which was actually a root from the Viridian Flower).
  • Purple Is Powerful: Her appearance is heavily associated with purple, and she's an ancient Alicorn goddess from the Third Age.
  • Reality Warper: Her domain of Groundskeepers gives her low-level reality-warping powers when within certain areas that she's placed in charge of. These powers can be used to heavily fortify the areas she's protecting, but she mostly uses her powers to help better maintain them.
  • Stronger with Age: As a "Tier III/Intermediate"-ranked goddess, she's 10,000 years at maximum. Due to how deities age in the Codexverse, she's incredibly strong, yet weaker than deities who are ranked "Tier IV/Greater" and beyond.
  • Telepathy: As a goddess of Leadership, she has telepathic powers to help her coordinate her forces better.
  • Waking Up Elsewhere: While she survived the Oceanaiads' final suicidal attack that ended the Third Age, she was horribly injured from using her own body as a shield for several of her mortal friends, and had to go dormant in a centuries-long healing sleep to recover. When she finally woke up, the Fourth Age has begun, and the world had lost its empathy, instead becoming rife with bigotry, discrimination, and hatred. Understandably, she was left incredibly upset and heartbroken, but she would be found by Blue Suede Heartstrings and several of her surviving friends, who helped her through her grief.
  • Weather Manipulation: As a goddess of Spring, she can alter the weather on large scales to create spring-like conditions.
  • Winged Unicorn: She's described as a violet-furred Alicorn goddess with a purple, pink, and white mane and tail made of rippling life energy that (somehow) smells of flowers.

Q

    Queen Amarelthea, the Last/First Unicorn

Classification: Ethereal/Ascendant

Portfolio: Memories, Love, Unicorns

Rank: Antecedent

"Love is something to be treasured and valued by all sapient creatures. Yes, it can ruin lives and inflict the most terrible of agonies... but it can also bring the greatest of joys."

Queen Amarelthea (her entry here) is the Fae Alicorn goddess of Memories, Love, and Unicorns, and is responsible for the creation of the modern-day Unicorn Pony tribe.
  • Adaptational Badass: In addition to all the things she did in The Last Unicorn (and its movie adaptation), she also Ascended to godhood as a Fae Alicorn, and secretly helped many heroes during various events over countless Ages, such as the final battle with Shining Lance in the Second Age.
  • Adaptation Species Change: In both The Last Unicorn and its movie adaptation, she started out as an immortal Unicorn, and was later magically turned into a human woman by Schmendrick to save her from the Red Bull. Here, she's specifically a Fae Unicorn, and while the transformation still happened, she was turned into an Earth Pony mare instead.
  • Animalistic Abomination: As a benevolent Fae Alicorn goddess who was directly involved in the creation of the modern Unicorn Pony tribe, she is incredibly ancient, her true age and size being roughly the same as Golden Scepter's. Her true divine form is also as eldritch as Golden Scepter's true form, bearing six wings and a mane and tail made of energy with memories rippling through it.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's a Fae Alicorn goddess who embodies Memories, Love, and Unicorns.
  • Close to Home: She was temporarily transformed into a mortal Earth Pony mare by her wizard friend, Schmanedrick, to save her from the Red Bull, in the process forcing her to not only experience mortality for the first time (something seen as horrifying to immortal beings like her) but also the emotions that mortal beings would feel. This made her learn how to love as mortals did, resulting in her feeling compassion for all creatures beyond what her people could feel. It also resulted in her bearing a hatred for those who take love itself for granted and willingly choose to spread hatred instead, as she sees the concept of love as something to be treasured and valued.
  • Cold Iron: As an 'Old School Fae', she can be harmed by cold iron... except since she's an ancient and powerful goddess, it takes quite a substantial amount of cold iron for her to actually be harmed by it.
  • Deity of Human Origin: Played with. Her nature as a Fae Unicorn means she was already immortal, but then she was turned into a mortal Earth Pony mare by Schmanedrick to protect her from the Red Bull. The experience is horrifying to her as she could feel herself dying, but it also taught her the value of mortality and mortal emotions like love, something she treasures greatly today. Her experiences contributed to her eventual Ascension to godhood, something that no other Fae Unicorn was able to do.
  • Disappointed in You: She tells the Children of Platinum this, as she helped create the modern Unicorn Pony tribe out of love and yet they choose to hate others instead.
  • Facial Markings: She has a shaded mark around the base of her horn that is noted by many to resemble the 'star' Cutie Mark sported by magically powerful and talented Ponies, such as Princess Twilight/Amicitia Sparkle. It's possible her mark might have some connection to her being the creator and mother goddess of the Unicorn Pony tribe.
  • The Fair Folk: She's not a Alicorn in the conventional sense, rather she's of a species of fae. Unicorns resemble her because they were directly based off her.
  • Fantastic Racism: This is what pushed her to go into hiding during the Imperium Era and the Second Age — in the former period, the Imperium of Ponykind had become absolutely xenophobic and started killing off any non-Pony creatures they found. In the latter period, all magical creatures were persecuted by the Interregnum just for possessing magic, which also forced the modern Unicorns she created to go into hiding with her as well. She eventually forgave Emperor Golden Scepter for the Imperium's actions come the Fourth Age.
  • Forgiveness: Though she and her people lived in hiding for a long period of time due to the Imperium of Ponykind's collective xenophobia, she would eventually forgive Emperor Golden Scepter for his Imperium's actions.
  • God of Good: She's a goddess who embodies Love and the memories it evokes, both good and bad. While initially benevolent in a detached, alien way, her brief time as a mortal and the interactions with those who helped her rescue her people caused her to appreciate emotions and love as mortals saw them, and has immortalized her friends in a way by continuing to remember them fondly.
  • Good Wings, Evil Wings: Of the "Cluster Wings" example. Because she's roughly as old as Golden Scepter, she has six wings just like him. It highlights her sheer age and power, as well as her incomprehensible Fae nature.
  • Heavenly Blue: She has a blue horn, and initially, she was a Fae Unicorn. She eventually Ascends to godhood while watching over the mortal Unicorn Pony race she helped King Equus create.
  • The High Queen: In an ironic turn of events, she would become Queen of the Fae Unicorns after the Empire of the Fae fell. Nonetheless, her mortal experiences made her a genuinely benevolent ruler, and she would also help the larger world for countless Ages, albeit from behind the scenes.
  • I Know Your True Name: In public, she's known as Amarelthea. Only her closest friends know her true name, as a sign of great trust between them.
  • Magic Hair: Her mane and tail are described as being made of Memory energy. In her true form as a Fae Alicorn goddess, her hair is made of energy with memories rippling through it.
  • The Maker: She was responsible for the creation of the Unicorn tribe as it is known as in the modern day, as she was inspired by her experiences as a mortal to work with King Equus. It's later revealed that the Unicorn tribe became what it is today thanks to her working together with Platinum Crown, Golden Scepter's older fraternal triplet brother, in granting them sapience.
  • Personality Powers: Her domains of Love and Memory stem from her painful yet ultimately beneficial experiences as a (temporary) mortal Earth Pony, which not only taught her about The Power of Love, but also the value of mortality and and granting people a form of immortality by remembering them. Her domain of Unicorns stem from her act of working with King Equus to create the modern Unicorn Pony tribe — the crux of her character development from a benevolent yet wild and incomprehensible entity to someone who cares for all on a level that mortals do.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Twice.
    • She would give one in the Fourth Age to a group of unicorn tribalists from the Children of Platinum faction, being incredibly disgusted with them for choosing to spread hate instead of love despite their love-inspired origins. It was noted that she appeared to the tribalists in a mortal disguise before shedding it to reveal her true form.
Queen Amarelthea: You do not deserve to call yourselves unicorns.
Unicorn tribalist: And who are you to tell us that?
Queen Amarelthea: The one who helped create your entire Tribe. I was inspired to help create you because I experienced love as non-Fae and mortals do, your hatred is the last thing I desired. How can you take love so much for granted that you would choose hatred instead?
    • She would also give one to High King Irminsul of the Elternteil Deer Pantheon. While Irminsul expected her to become his ally based on their shared origins and duties as guardians of the forest (something that she acknowledges), she quite emphatically turned him down, citing his toxic, abusive hypocrisy and his defilement/murder of his unborn son as two reasons why she refuses to associate with him.
Queen Amarelthea: It is true that we are both creatures whose duties lie in the forest we are born in, that much I will admit... but I cannot and will not agree with you. Part of caring for nature involves holding compassion for ALL nature, including those who were not born in the forests like we were. It was a lesson that was taught to me by a very close friend of mine from long ago, and I will not forget it no matter how hard it was for me to learn it. You may call yourself a steward of the forests, but your actions speak otherwise. If you truly cared for everything that lived in your domain, why did you decide to defile and murder your unborn son? Why did you give your family and your mortal subjects harmful lessons that will only encourage hatred, arrogance, and selfishness? And why did you participate in, and condone, the abuse of a child who had not done anything truly harmful to you or your family?

You may be seen by your people as a benevolent High King, Irminsul, but I see you as no different than the villains I had fought, those who threaten the lives of innocent people with self-serving goals. And until you are able to answer my questions and see the error of your ways, I can only see a future where everyone you loved has left you behind, and your peers only see you as a hypocritical, self-righteous, and close-minded ruler who was willing to hurt his own family to gain the purity he desperately sought.
  • Summon Bigger Fish: When faced with a Vegan invasion fleet, she resorts to summoning the Red Bull, which obliterates them with zero effort.
  • Supernatural Floating Hair: Like her non-Fae Alicorn counterparts, she has a rippling mane made of memory energy, which depicts various memories when she's in her true form. It highlights how old and eldritch she is, and her entry notes she's roughly the same age as Emperor Golden Scepter.
  • Time Abyss: Like Emperor Golden Scepter, she is incredibly ancient and is roughly as old as him. But due to being already immortal before Ascending to godhood, time is very different to her and she doesn't know how old she truly is.
  • Uniqueness Value: Initially, she was regarded as special because she was the last living Fae Unicorn on the planet. After her people are rescued from their sea prison, she becomes the only Fae Unicorn to know emotions as mortals and non-Fae beings do, as well as the only Fae Unicorn to Ascend to godhood.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: In the most heartbreaking manner possible, Bitter Snow verbally rails into her for only appearing in the flesh after she outgrew her foalhood innocence and became an older, bitter, and cynical mare.
Bitter Snow: No, it can't be. Can it be? Where have you been? Where have you been? Damn you! Where have you been? Where were you twenty years ago? Ten years ago? Where were you when I was new? When I was one of those innocent young maidens you always come to? How dare you! How dare you come to me now, when I am this...
  • Winged Unicorn: She's described as a Fae Alicorn with a white pelt and off-white mane and tail made of rippling Memory energy; her true form is that of an ancient Fae Alicorn that's roughly equal to Emperor Golden Scepter in size and age, with six wings, a mane and tail depicting various memories, and other eldritch traits. However, it's noted that she's not a true Alicorn, but a Fae goddess who merely resembles one.

    Queen Fantasia

Classification: Ethereal/Ascendant

Portfolio: Imagination, Familial Love, Patron Deity (Tulpas)

Rank: Divine (Tier IV/Greater)

"Don't worry, I'm totally not one of those evil queens!"

Queen Fantasia (her entry here) is the Tulpa goddess of Imagination, Familial Love, and Tulpas, and is the divine ruler of the combined kingdom of Fratrem.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's an Ascendant Tulpa goddess who embodies Imagination, Familial Love, and Tulpas; the last part is because she's their "Parental Deity".
  • Built with LEGO: Appears to be a sapient mass of NEIGHGO Bricks...because she is: she's an ascendant Tulpa born from a collection of them.
  • Love Goddess: She embodies the concept of "Storge Love" or Familial Love, known as the love shared between parents, children, and siblings.
  • Sickeningly Sweet: Her eccentric tastes made the combined kingdom of Fratrem look so girly that Rainbow Dash described its appearance as being "sweet enough to give me a toothache".
  • Tulpa: She's a Tulpa who ascended to godhood.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: Can rearrange her form into whatever she desires.

Rose Regalia, the Light of Healing

Classification: Ethereal/Elemental

Portfolio: Primordial Light, Nature, Fabric

Rank: Antecedent

"Isn't it remarkable? This world is full of so many wonderful things. Every living being is wholly unique, wholly different. The lives they live, the things they do. They are so complicated, yet also so simple. They're not perfect... but they don't have to be."

Rose Regalia (her entry here) is the Alicorn/Grand Primeval hybrid goddess of Primordial Light, Nature, and Fabric, and is a benevolent individual despite being a daughter of two Fallen deities.
  • Adaptational Angst Upgrade: Compared to Rose Quartz, hers became more horrific here due to being related to Silk Dawn, an expy of Ragyo Kiryūin. Not only does she have trauma from being constantly molested and sexually abused by her mother, but she was also mistreated and persecuted by her fellow Alicorns for being a daughter of the Fallen Morning Star despite genuinely opposing her parents. And in addition to Rose Quartz's canon flaws, she also suffered from guilt over the things she did for her mother before betraying her, which would have pushed her past her breaking point had Luminiferous not found her and eventually directed her to therapists like Mentálne.
  • Adaptational Backstory Change: While she's still related to the expies of the Diamonds, she's actually their younger half-sister through their mother, Silk Dawn, who sired her with Morning Star. Unlike Pink Diamond, who was emotionally abused, she was both emotionally and sexually abused by Silk Dawn, who molested her under the excuse of "purifying" her of her imperfections and indoctrinated her to believe in a twisted form of perfection. She eventually betrays her mother when her cousin, Canteros, intervenes by convincing her to live among mortals for a while, which taught her what true love is and opened her eyes to her parents' wickedness. Despite opposing her parents and warning the Hierarchs about their plans, many Alicorns hated and persecuted her just for being related to two Fallen deities, and this contributed to her overall trauma once the wars ended. Fortunately, she would meet Luminiferous, after which things turned up for her from there.
  • Adaptational Badass: Pink Diamond is essentially a goddess among Gemkind due to possessing a multitude of destructive powers, and following her epiphany, her powers changed to match her affinity for nature and life. While disguised as Rose Quartz, she proved herself to be a powerful warrior skilled in both sword and shield. Here, as Rose Regalia, she is a bonafide goddess of Primordial Light, Nature, and Fabric who is extremely powerful and skilled on top of being millions of years old, in addition to being a granddaughter of a Grand Primeval (specifically, Urun, the Light Primeval).
  • Adaptational Heroism: While she's heroic like Rose Quartz, she never went through with Rose Quartz's decision to lead her rebellion in a complex masquerade that involved faking her own death to hide her true identity. And while she still had Rose Quartz's habit of keeping secrets from everyone, it was never to the extent of hurting everyone close to her, as various good people in her life encouraged her to be honest instead. This means that with most of her flaws curbed, she was able to become a much better leader, friend, and mother later in life. She was also able to seek out therapeutic deities like Mentálne, meaning whatever issues that plagued Roze Quartz in life were lessened to a greater degree thanks to receiving psychiatric help.
  • Adaptation Species Change: Rose Quartz is a Quartz whose true identity is Pink Diamond, one of four members of the Diamond caste. Here, she's an Alicorn-Grand Primeval hybrid due to her mother, Silk Dawn, being a Fallen daughter of Urun, the Light Primeval, while her father is Morning Star, a Fallen Alicorn.
  • Alliterative Name: Rose Regalia.
  • Animalistic Abomination: Her true form is roughly as old and eldritch as Emperor Golden Scepter's, with six wings and a long, flowing mane and tail made of radiant pink light that makes her presence difficult to look at directly. However, being part-Grand Primeval through her mother, Silk Dawn, means that she's more eldritch compared to other 'normal' Alicorns in her age-group.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's an Alicorn/Grand Primeval hybrid goddess who embodies Primordial Light, Nature, and Fabric.
  • Anti-Anti-Christ: Doubly so: she was born from the union of Silk Dawn and Morning Star, both of whom had nefarious intentions for her. She ended up realizing how wrong their actions were and opposing them both, but unfortunately, her heritage made her a target of persecution for those who were either hurt by Morning Star's actions, or simply believed being Morning Star's daughter made her equally accountable for his crimes.
  • Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance: Her Cutie Mark is a crystalline rose. This not only refers to her character inspirations, Rose Quartz and Pink Diamond, but also her compassionate personality and affinity for plants.
  • Barrier Warrior: As a goddess of Primordial Light, she can manifest her powers in the form of barriers and shields. Due to her Martial Pacifist personality, it's her preferred way of fighting.
  • Beauty Equals Goodness: She's a radiantly beautiful goddess, owing to her heritage as a biological daughter of Silk Dawn and Morning Star, both who were extremely beautiful themselves in life. Even her 'default' form tends to be pudgy in a beautiful way. And much like Rose Quartz, she's a compassionate, maternal, and heroic All-Loving Hero who desires to protect all life. This is in stark contrast to her biological parents, who are equally beautiful yet completely rotten inside.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: She's a maternal, loving, and heroic goddess who loves all live and desires to protect it. She also, like Rose Quartz, sees sapientkind's ability to naturally grow and change without being forced to as an amazing power. She's also a biological granddaughter of a Grand Primeval (specifically, Urun, the Light Primeval), and thus is old, powerful, and eldritch enough to fare well in any battle she participates in. She even betrayed her biological parents when she discovered their plans for the universe and fought against them during the "Twilight of the Alicorns".
  • Big Beautiful Woman: As a very ancient goddess, she's automatically gigantic. Her 'default' divine form is also noted to always appear a bit pudgy, which is a conscious choice on her part.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Twice.
    • She invoked this by warning her maternal grandmother, Urun, the Light Primeval, of Silk Dawn's plans, then fighting/distracting her Fallen mother long enough for Urun to arrive and seal Silk Dawn away.
    • She and her friends would personally intervene in May Shore and Wandering Child's fight with Silk Dawn to provide aid to the former two, as Silk Dawn had revealed her true form and thus is more powerful than that of the two demigoddesses combined. Silk Dawn wasn't happy to see her again, to say the least.
  • Big Sister Instinct: She's May Shore and Wandering Child's much older half-sister due to sharing the same mother in Silk Dawn. During May Shore and Wandering Child's fight with Silk Dawn, she personally arrived with her own friends to lend aid, as Silk Dawn had revealed her true eldritch form by that point and thus became a much tougher opponent.
  • Blood from the Mouth: While fighting Silk Dawn, she bleeds from the mouth as, while fused with her friends, she is impaled and pinned to a mountain several times by razor-sharp strands of fabric created by her mother. Fortunately, both she and her friends survive, as Urun, the Light Primeval, shows up to apprehend Silk Dawn.
  • Cain and Abel: After pulling a Heel–Face Turn, she became the "Abel" to her three older half-sisters' "Cain", having realized how horrible her mother and family is and wanting to stop them before more people got hurt. It culminated in White Corona deeming her an "imperfection" and attempting to kill her with a combined light attack, mind-controlling Yellow Barding and Blue Diadem into helping with it. Fortunately, she survived, and later successfully convinced her half-sisters to see the error of their ways and betray Silk Dawn, too, after confronting them on their actions honestly.
  • Composite Character: She was largely inspired by Rose Quartz, though only to a degree, as she was intentionally taken in a completely different direction than her. Much like Rose Quartz, she appears as a pudgy person who has pink, curly hair and wears large, ornate dresses, and fights with a sword and shield. She also led a resistance against powerful Physical Gods, and had a Semi-Divine son with a mortal she fell in love with. However, part of her characterization also takes inspiration from Pink Diamond with a little of Satsuki Kiryūin — like Pink, she initially started off as a Spoiled Brat who was raised by an emotionally abusive Physical God, but gradually became a kinder and more empathetic person later on after an incident where her spoiled behavior actually hurt someone. And like Satsuki, she was sexually abused by her own mother, a cruel, narcissistic woman who is also a huge Sadist.
  • Condescending Compassion: While much more empathetic than her sociopathic narcissist mother, her upbringing still led to her developing a somewhat condescending form of compassion, seeing mortals as pet animals who can't help themselves without the loving guidance of a deity (including herself). She gradually grew out of this mindset thanks to Canteros and Luminiferous, but it can still show up at times to a degree.
  • Consummate Liar: Deconstructed; like Pink Diamond, her tendency to keep secrets was one of her character flaws, though here it stemmed from having it ingrained in her by Silk Dawn since fillyhood. Notably, her original plan following her Heel–Face Turn was to warn the Alicorn Civilization's ruling Hierarchs in disguise as part of an incredibly complex masquerade. Fortunately, Canteros convinced her to be honest with her friends and others, resulting in events playing out much differently from canon.
  • Cool Sword: Like Rose Quartz, her main weapon is a crystal sword that she often combines with a shield. Befitting her large size as an ancient goddess, her sword is massive.
  • Crossover Relatives:
    • Rose Regalia is a granddaughter of Urun, the Light Primeval, making her a cousin of Canteros as Urun is a sister of Canteros' father, Amareros. By contrast, Rose Quartz and Anteros are completely unrelated.
    • Rose Regalia herself is a biological daughter of Silk Dawn, an Expy of Ragyo Kiryuin, making her the (much) older half-sister of May Shore and Wandering Child, both who are based on Satsuki Kiryuin and Ryuko Matoi, respectively.
    • Rose Regalia is also related to Luminiferous, the Expy of Ultraman Geed, by virtue of being his older half-sister through Morning Star, who's based on Geed's father, Ultraman Belial. This also makes her the half-sister of Ignorance and Want.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Due to her being much younger than her Fallen mother, Silk Dawn, who is a "Primeval"-ranked goddess, all fights tend to end poorly even if she were to fuse with her friends for extra power. She anticipated this would happen before undertaking her first battle with Silk Dawn, which is why she summoned her grandmother, Urun, knowing her mother would never fare against a Grand Primeval, and kept Silk Dawn distracted until Urun arrived in-person.
  • Curb-Stomp Cushion: Being much younger than her ancient mother, who is a "Primeval"-ranked goddess, she was easily thrashed around by Silk Dawn even after fusing with her friends for that much-needed power boost. However, she anticipated this and kept Silk Dawn occupied until Urun, the Light Primeval, arrived to punish her Fallen daughter for her many crimes.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: She was born to the Fallen goddess Silk Dawn, who subjected her to physical, mental, and even sexual abuse to mold her into a willing, "perfect" enforcer of her mother's goals of universal perfection. This led to her suffering from extreme emotional pain that she hid with a cheerful facade. However, she didn't realize how horrible her own upbringing or her mother's actions were until her cousin, Canteros, showed her and encouraged her to live among a group of mortal Equines in disguise, allowing her to experience true, genuine love for the first time. She betrayed both of her parents and played a role in Silk Dawn's defeat and sealing, but despite helping her people defeat Morning Star also, she found herself discriminated against by Alicorns who hated her for her parentage and tried persecuted her for it. After the Alicorn Civilization's fall, she was left guilt-ridden and depressed over the things she did for her Fallen mother by the time she meets Luminiferous, as well as holding PTSD from losing so many friends during the wars with both of her villainous parents.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Much like Pink Diamond, she can be somewhat impulsive and thus have a tendency to not think things through. When she tried warning the Alicorn Civilization's ruling Hierarchs of her mother's plans, she initially attempted to do so in disguise as part of an extremely complex masquerade, not considering how her closest friends would feel about her deceptions. Fortunately, she ultimately dropped the plan and approached the Hierarchs directly thanks to Canteros encouraging her to be honest.
  • Divine Parentage:
  • Elemental Hair Composition: As a goddess of Primordial Light, she has a mane and tail made of flowing pink light in both her 'default' and true divine forms.
  • Elemental Shapeshifter: As a goddess of Primordial Light, she can turn into light, letting her avoid attacks or move in a straight line at light-speed.
  • Familiar: As a goddess of Nature, she can create plant-based minions and familiars to serve and/or assist her.
  • Family Theme Naming: She shares this with two of her half-sisters, Blue Diadem and Yellow Barding. All three of them are named after colors and things that are usually worn by royalty; in her case, she's named Rose Regalia.
  • Freudian Excuse: Deconstructed. Many of her flaws and toxic behaviors stem from her horrifically abusive upbringing, but nonetheless, she still had to overcome them in order to be a better mare.
    • She had a Lack of Empathy due to Silk Dawn seeing compassion as an "imperfection" that must be purified. While she did develop it over time, she initially saw mortals as akin to cute animals and didn't take their true feelings into consideration. Much like Rose Quartz, she eventually realized this flaw thanks to people calling her out and helping her overcome it, even though she still struggles with it at times.
    • She had a bad habit of being secretive and dishonest with people, as her abusive upbringing ingrained it in her. Notably, she initially planned to warn the Alicorn Civilization's ruling Hierarchs of Silk Dawn's plans while in disguise as part of an extremely complex masquerade she planned (which is essentially a reverse of how Pink Diamond demonized herself as part of a complex plan to free Earth from the Diamonds' colonization efforts), but ultimately chose to be honest with them thanks to Canteros encouraging her to do so.
  • Gentle Giant: Her true form is roughly as large as Golden Scepter's due to her vast age, and despite possessing numerous flaws as a result of her abusive upbringing, she is a kind, pacifistic, and motherly goddess who seeks to protect all life. Notably, she sees the ability to grow and change naturally without being forced to as an "amazing" power, as she grew up being taught by her mother all her life that all imperfections must be "purified".
  • Girls Like Musicians: Like her canon counterpart, she fell in love with a former, washed-up rockstar named Watchful Universe who presently runs a car wash business, and sired a son through him.
  • God of Light: As a goddess of Primordial Light, she possesses the same powers as one with a normal Light domain, like powerful beams, barriers, and Hard Light constructs, but is much more powerful compared to modern Light deities. Much like Rose Quartz, her light powers are colored pink and, due to her pacifistic nature, tend to manifest as barriers and shields.
  • Green Thumb: As a goddess of Nature, she can cause mass plant growth, which extends to creating plant-based minions and familiars. She can also use her domain to heal wounds, and combine it with her domain of Primordial Light to produce a healing aura.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: Due to her upbringing leaving her a Spoiled Brat, she used to have tantrums that were compounded by her natural divine power, making her presence quite destructive. It's deconstructed as her tantrums eventually caused an incident that forced her to realize her anger was becoming a problem and take steps to rectify it.
  • Hard Light: As a goddess of Primordal Light, one of the things she can do is create multitudes of hard-light constructs.
  • Hold the Line: Despite knowing that Silk Dawn outclasses her in terms of age and power despite using her powers creatively, she still chose to fight her mother to buy time for aid to arrive. That aid comes in the form of Silk Dawn's own mother, Urun, the Light Primeval, who shows up to apprehend her Fallen daughter. Despite Silk Dawn's attempt to flee, a moment of distraction gets her chained up by Urun and sealed away in a prism at the bottom of the sea.
  • Holy Back Light: As a goddess of Primordial Light, she can emit a massive aura of light that can be seen for miles, though it's colored pink in her case. When she performs a Big Damn Heroes to provide aid for May Shore and Wandering Child, her presence is announced by a massive explosion of pink light covering the sky.
  • Hot Goddess: She's described as an extremely beautiful goddess in both her true and 'default' forms, which isn't a surprise considering her parents were very attractive deities and embodied Beauty as well. Even her 'default' form tends to be pudgy in a beautiful way. However, her beauty also matched her heart, whereas her parents were completely monstrous on the inside.
  • Hybrid Power: She's part-Grand Primeval through her mother, Silk Dawn, and part-Alicorn through her father, Morning Star. This makes her incredibly powerful, with her entry comparing her to Emperor Golden Scepter in terms of divine power.
  • In Spite of a Nail:
    • Despite circumstances happening differently, both she and her friend, Pearl Dancer, were still present when Ruby Guardian and Sapphire Seer fused into Garnet Gauntlet for the first time.
    • She still tried to protect her forces when her older sisters fired a powerful, devastating light-based attack to decimate the opposing faction, though she was able to save more lives than in canon because she was honest with those who served under her.
    • She still fell in love with a mortal and sired a son through him, though due to being a flesh-and-blood creature rather than a living holographic projection, she was able to survive giving birth. And the mortal she fell in love with? He happens to be a former rockstar, just like Greg Universe.
  • Lack of Empathy: Deconstructed. Like Pink Diamond, she represented the Innocently Insensitive and Condescending Compassion aspects of the trope. While she developed empathy for mortals following her Heel–Face Turn, she initially saw them as cute animals and never considered their feelings when making decisions. She also had a nasty habit of keeping secrets and being dishonest with others due to Silk Dawn's abusive indoctrination. Thanks to people like Canteros and Luminiferous, who helped her deal with it before it became a problem later on, she became more heroic than Pink Diamond or Rose Quartz early on, but it's noted one of her flaws is that she still struggles with genuine empathy to a degree.
  • Light 'em Up: As a goddess of Primordial Light, she has powers similar to those possessed by her mother, Silk Dawn, and maternal grandmother, Urun the Light Primeval, both who also embody the same thing. Like them, she is capable of powerful beams, hard-light constructs, and barriers. She could also turn into light to avoid attacks or move at light-speed. Due to her Martial Pacifist nature, she prefers to manifest barriers and shields.
  • Light Is Good: She is heavily associated with light, both due to her family lineage containing deities who embody Light/Primordial Light, and her appearance bearing eldritch traits related to light. Unlike her biological parents, who both became Fallen deities, she's a genuinely benevolent goddess who cares for and seeks to protect all life, and admires sapientkind's ability to grow and change naturally.
  • Light Is Not Good: She's a goddess of Primordial Light, and initially, she was a loyal enforcer of Silk Dawn's will thanks to a lifetime of horrific abuse and indoctrination on the latter's part. Thanks to Canteros, who convinced her to live among mortals for a time, she comes to realize how horrible her family is as well as the true nature of Silk Dawn's plans, prompting her to betray her family and oppose them.
  • Like Father, Unlike Son: Unlike her biological parents, who became Fallen deities obsessed with enforcing their own twisted standards of perfection onto the universe to make it 'perfect' in their own eyes, she's a maternal, caring, and heroic goddess who loves all life, including the bad aspects, and desires to protect it. She also uses her powers to heal, create, and empower, whereas her parents used their powers to harm, abuse, and even kill in the name of perfection. And lastly, her beauty matches her kind heart, whereas her parents are extremely beautiful themselves yet completely rotten in character.
  • Luckily, My Shield Will Protect Me: Like Rose Quartz, she uses shields in tandem with her sword-wielding, except here her shields are generated by her light-based powers rather than something generated by her gem.
  • Magical Girlfriend: She's an ancient Alicorn goddess who embodies Primordial Light, Nature, and Fabric, and like Rose Quartz, she ends up falling in love with a mortal and siring a son with him. Said mortal, Watchful Universe, is also a former, washed-up rockstar who presently runs a car wash business.
  • Magic Hair: She has a mane and tail composed of flowing pink light, which becomes even brighter in her true divine form. On the flipside, her fur and hair are two of the main components used to create Fusion Regalia so others can fuse without relying on her to perform the deed.
  • Magic Knight: Unlike Blue Diadem, a master spellcaster, or Yellow Barding, a ruthless warrior and general, she combines traits from both by being a competent swordsmare who can also wield magical powers like light and nature, and can perform Fusion Dances with others for a massive power boost.
  • The Magnificent: Known as "the Light of Healing".
  • Meaningful Name:
    • A rose is a type of flower that is famous for its beauty and hybridization potential. Rose Regalia is an extremely beautiful yet benevolent goddess who can famously fuse with others for a massive power boost, later influencing the creation of Fusion Regalia. Roses are also known for their thorny stems that can be trimmed, referring to both her past as a loyal enforcer of Silk Dawn's will prior to her Heel–Face Turn, and the fact that she is an ancient goddess willing to fight to protect all life.
    • A regalia is a Latin plural term referring to the formal dress and dress accessories worn by a royal sovereign, like a crown, a scepter, and the globus cruciger (orb and cross). Rose Regalia is a goddess who prefers to wear large, ornate dresses, and her name completes the Family Theme Naming she shares with her three older half-sisters, who are all named after pieces of regalia like Blue Diadem, Yellow Barding, and White Corona.
  • The Minion Master: As a goddess of Nature, she can create plant-based minions and familiars to serve and/or assist her.
  • Mistreatment-Induced Betrayal: Learning what true, genuine love is from living among mortals, combined with what Silk Dawn intended to do to both the world and the surrounding cosmos, pushed her to betray her mother, as Silk Dawn had been nothing but an abusive monster who treated even her as a pawn in her own plans. She would later inspire this in her three older half-sisters, Blue Diadem, Yellow Barding, and White Corona, in that order, though in White Corona's case, she had to 'regrow' the "imperfect" parts of her that Silk Dawn ripped out before consciously making that choice.
  • Parental Favoritism: Prior to her Heel–Face Turn, she was Silk Dawn's favorite child, which affected her relationships with her three older half-sisters — including Blue Diadem, who unconsciously resented her for having their mother's attention. However, the only reasons for this is because she's a daughter of Morning Star, the only person Silk Dawn genuinely deemed worthy of her attention, and thus was the perfect "weapon" for Silk Dawn Assimilation Plot. Once she realizes how horrible Silk Dawn is as a mother and learns the true nature and scope of Silk Dawn's plans, she betrays her mother and later plays a pivotal role in Silk Dawn's sealing.
  • Parental Incest: Deconstructed. In her youth, she was sexually abused by Silk Dawn, who justified it as a method of "purifying" any "imperfections" she found in her daughter. White Corona, as the one closest to their mother in appearance and mindset, also abused her this way. This led to her hiding extreme emotional pain that she hid behind a cheerful facade, among other things. Fortunately, meeting those who genuinely cared about, like her cousin Canteros and half-brother Luminiferous, would help her with her PTSD regarding this.
  • Perfection Is Impossible: Since foalhood, she was raised by Silk Dawn to be the "perfect", willing enforcer of her goals, which involved being subjected to horrific abuse and indoctrinated to see certain parts of herself as "weaknesses" to be purified. She eventually realizes how horrible her mother is thanks to Canteros giving her an opportunity to experience genuine, positive love via living among mortals, but her upbringing psychologically scarred her and left her with self-loathing over never being able to fulfill Silk Dawn's ridiculous standards of perfection.
  • Personality Powers: She's a goddess who embodies Primordial Light, Nature, and Fabric. Unlike her mother, Silk Dawn, who has similar domains but used them to forcibly make people "perfect" in her eyes, she uses her domains to empower and heal her allies, notably fusing with them for added boosts of power. She also embodies Nature, which represents her maternal aspects as well as her love and desire to protect all life.
  • Pink Means Feminine: Like Rose Quartz, she has a heavy pink motif, and her powers relate to things that are regarded as traditionally feminine like light, nature, and fabric. She is also maternal, loving, and amicable, and is an All-Loving Hero who sees life as precious and worth protecting.
  • Point of Divergence:
    • One of the biggest divergences is that unlike Rose Quartz, who died to give birth to Steven, she survives her own son's birth, allowing her to be there for her family and raise her son. This is due to her being an organic creature with flesh and blood, whereas Rose Quartz is a living holographic projection produced by her Gem.
    • In canon, Rose Quartz is actually the alias and alternate form of Pink Diamond, who rebelled against Homeworld and essentially lied about herself as part of a complex but poorly-thought-out plan to save Earth. Here, Rose Regalia originally planned to warned the Alicorn Civilization's ruling Hierarchs of her Fallen biological parents' plans via a very complex masquerade, but her cousin, Canteros, convinced her to drop it and be honest with others. She does, and her decision ultimately leads to more positive relationships between her and her loved ones.
    • Another nail is that unlike Rose Quartz, she has access to therapists who know how to help her recover from the abuse she suffered, and is surrounded by people who are not afraid or hesitant to call her out on her worst flaws and mistakes. This leads to her becoming more heroic and benevolent than her canon counterpart early, and her relationships with her family and friends are more positive and healthy.
  • Quirky Curls: Her "default" divine form has a mane and tail made of flowing pink light that gives the appearance of rose-like curls. This also doubles as Regal Ringlets, representing the mixture of calming dignity and free-spirited love for everything that makes up a huge part of her personality.
  • Punny Name: Her name can be seen as this as one of her most defining traits is that she's a Rose-Haired Sweetie.
  • Rape as Backstory: Like her older half-sisters, she was frequently molested by Silk Dawn for much of her life under the excuse of "purifying" her of all imperfections, though Silk Dawn really did it to indulge in her sadism. This later left her with extreme trauma that, among other things, would have pushed her over the edge had people like Canteros and Luminiferous not intervened and helped her.
  • Rape as Drama: Being frequently raped by both Silk Dawn and White Corona for the purpose of "purifying" her imperfections (in truth, Silk Dawn was a huge Sadist and got off from tormenting her) left her with a huge amount of trauma, which contributed to her severely deteriorated mental state following the end of the Alicorn Civilization's Civil War. Fortunately, Luminiferous found her before she could pass the Despair Event Horizon, and he would later introduce her to Mentálne in the Fourth Age so she could get some much-needed therapy.
  • Related Differently in the Adaptation: She's the younger half-sister of Blue Diadem, Yellow Barding, and White Corona through Silk Dawn siring her with a flesh-and-blood partner, Morning Star, whereas Pink Diamond is simply the youngest of the Diamonds with no explanation as to how the Diamonds came about.
  • Rose-Haired Sweetie: Pun aside, she's a pink-furred Alicorn with a mane and tail made of pink light, and a wing gradiant going from light pink to dark pink. Despite her flaws, she's a loving and motherly goddess who seeks to protect all life, and considers sapientkind's ability to change and grow naturally to be an amazing "power". She's also a Magnetic Hero who is able to easily get others to follow her, and a Martial Pacifist who prefers not to harm or kill others if she could help it.
  • A Shared Suffering:
    • She greatly sympathized with Rosy Dreams, having herself known what it's like to be a victim of sexual abuse at the hooves of a controlling birth parent for malicious reasons.
Rose Regalia: I know how you feel, little one.
      Rosy Dreams: ...You do?
Rose Regalia: Yes... all too well.
    • She also befriended Temnobog of all people, due to understanding the latter's pain over living with an abusively perfectionist parent who mistreated him for being born "imperfect" through no fault of his own.
  • Siblings Share the Throne: She co-founded the Coronan Imperium Yellow Barding, White Corona, and Rose Regalia in their mother's name, ruling together as the Radiant Tetrarchy. However, she eventually betrayed her older half-sisters upon discovering Silk Dawn's true plans and discovering what true, genuine love felt like.
  • Sins of Our Fathers: Due to her father being Morning Star, many Alicorns hated her simply for her bloodline and tried persecuting her for it, regardless of her innocence. It's really saying something of her character that she still opposed Morning Star the entire time despite her mistreatment.
  • Spanner in the Works: It's noted her role in Silk Dawn's first defeat and sealing prevented her father, Morning Star, from inflicting even more damage with his own plans, as having an ally in the Fallen daughter of the Light Primeval would have made him incredibly more dangerous than without her.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: Rose Quartz ended up dying to sire Steven, while different conditions result in Rose Regalia never doing that, largely because she's an organic creature with flesh and blood instead of a holographic projection and thus wouldn't need to die in order to give birth as Rose did.
  • Time Abyss: As an "Antecedent"-ranked goddess, she's between 1 to 10 million-years-old, making her roughly equal to Emperor Golden Scepter in age.
  • Tiny Guy, Huge Girl: She's the "Huge Girl" to Watchful Universe's "Tiny Guy". While she was already large in her "default" divine form, her true divine form is even larger, being roughly as old as Emperor Golden Scepter. Meanwhile, Watchful Universe is a mortal Pony and thus is smaller than his wife.
  • The Tragic Rose: Her name is Rose Regalia, and she has heavy rose motifs in her appearance. In her youth, she suffered extremely horrific abuse under both Silk Dawn and White Corona, with the former indoctrinating her to be the loyal, "perfect" enforcer of her plans. While she pulls a Heel–Face Turn thanks to Canteros' influence and even helps defeat Silk Dawn the first time around, she found herself being wrongly persecuted by those who hated her just for being a daughter of Morning Star, and survives an attempt to kill her by White Corona, who deemed her a traitor and an "imperfection" that didn't deserve to live. While she successfully managed to convince all three of her older half-sisters to betray Silk Dawn, she was so traumatized by everything she went through that had her half-brother, Luminiferous not found her, she would have fallen into the Despair Event Horizon.
  • Unwitting Pawn: Like her three older half-sisters, she was groomed and indoctrinated by Silk Dawn into becoming so loyal to her that they wouldn't question her intentions to inflict an Assimilation Plot of cosmic scale for the sake of her own ego. Thanks to Canteros' influence and spending time with mortals, she grew a conscience and betrayed her mother upon learning the true scope of Silk Dawn's plans should they be successfully pulled off. She would later convince her older half-sisters to do the same by telling them the truth (though White Corona required more effort due to having her sorrow and anger literally ripped out of her at a young age).
  • What You Are in the Dark: Despite being ostracized, mistreated, and even outright persecuted by her fellow Alicorns for being Morning Star's daughter, she never lost her desire to protect everyone from her father's plans and continued fighting Morning Star's faction. She was also responsible for warning the Hierarchs, the rulers of the Alicorn Civilization, of what her parentes planned to do, though she originally intended to form the Hierarchs via a complex masquerade until Canteros persuaded her to just be honest with them.
  • Winged Unicorn: Her default form is a light pink-furred Alicorn with a slightly pudgy body, and a mane and tail made of flowing pink light that appears as rose-like curls. Her true form is as eldritch as Emperor Golden Scepter's with six wings and a long, flowing mane made of radiant pink light that's difficult to look at directly; however, due to being the granddaughter of a Grand Primeval, she's more eldritch than Golden Scepter in some ways.

    Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer

Classification: Ethereal/Ascendant

Portfolio: Light, Self-Acceptance, Misfits

Rank: Divine (Tier IV/Greater)

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (his entry here) is the Reindeer god of Light, Self-Acceptance, and Misfits, and a member of Santa Hooves' sleigh team and pantheon.
  • All of the Other Reindeer: Quite literally the Trope Maker in the Codexverse. His ostracization by his fellow Reindeer for his glowing red nose led to him fleeing the realm the Eltenteil Deer Pantheon made for Deerkind/Reindeerkind/Moosekind to ride out the Second Age, setting off the chain of events which would eventually led to him and his parents finding their way to Santa Hooves' workshop and saving Solsmas, even inspiring the song and stories in Second Age media.
  • The Runaway: He ran off from home and his kind's sanctuary-realm during the Second Age after being bullied and looked down upon for his red nose for too long, resulting in his parents desperately following to search for him.
  • Saving Christmas: He saved the Solsmas of 1939 with his father Donner (who came with his mother looking for him) by joining Santa Hooves' sled team and using his magical glowing red nose to guide them out of the artificial blizzard (courtesy of the Super Villain Winter Kaiser, who wants to ruin Solsmas) which had prevented Santa from taking off and delivering presents around the world.
