Super Mario Bros.

    NES Mario

NES Mario

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nesmario.png
Crusade Mod Creator: S.D Mods

Mario as depicted in his classic Super Mario Bros. design. While partially a Moveset Clone of Mario, this Mario also features attacks based on Super Mario Bros. 3's power ups.

  • Animalistic Abilities: Up tilt has Mario don the Frog Suit to hop forward as a full body tackle.
  • Composite Character: It's Mario from NES classic game that kicked off The 8-bit Era of Console Video Games, whose moveset is built off of Smash Mario's depiction, with new moves mostly originating from the third game.
  • Invincibility Power-Up: The Starman power-up is their Final Smash, which naturally makes Mario invulnerable while giving him Collision Damage.
  • Leitmotif: Super Mario Bros. World 1-1 theme.
  • Moveset Clone: Downplayed. While certain moves pull from the original Smash Mario, plenty of his kit features more original and functionally different attacks themed around the power-ups from 3.
  • Power-Up: As a reference to the NES era of games, particularly the third game, many of his attacks pull the abilities of the power ups from said games.
    • Neutral special: throws a Fireball, which is functionally the same as canon Smash.
    • Side tilt: transforms into Tanuki Mario to Tail Slap forward.
    • Up tilt: hops forward in the frog suit.
    • Forward air: Dons a hammer suit and swings a hammer low-to-high.
    • Down air turns them into a Tanooki statue, with them remaining that way until cancelled out of it.
  • Retraux: As the name suggests, it's Mario from the NES era of games, with him visually based on the first Super Mario Bros.
  • Shockwave Stomp: Jumps up and stomps the ground for the down tilt, with it causing a short shockwave as the attack.

    Daisy

Daisy

Debut: Super Mario Land (1989)
Crusade Mod Creator: LJ
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/daisy_by_lj.png

The Princess of Sarasaland, previously an Echo Fighter in Ultimate, now much less of a Moveset Clone.

  • Assist Character: Two of the resident human girls of the Mushroom Kingdom appear as part of Daisy's up and down throws:
    • Up throw has Peach volley the foe upwards with her parasol.
    • Down throw has Rosalina send the foe forwards via telekinesis.
  • Bitch Slap: Daisy's forward smash. For what it lacks in range, it's one of the more powerful moves in her kit. Perhaps fitting that one of her stronger moves is a slap, considering that time she sent Bowser launched away via slap.
  • Blow You Away: Summons a tornado on the spot for her Final Smash.
  • Meteor Move: Her back air is a weird case; its a hand jab attack that sends foes at a sharp enough angle to send them falling as if spiked, but with enough outward momentum to feel like it wasn't a spike.
  • Parasol of Pain: Daisy swings her parasol outward as a Meteor Move forward air.

    Smorg

Smorg

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/smorg.png

The Giant Space Flea from Nowhere swarm that's the last boss fight in TTYD's 6th chapter, now a smaller scale swarm in CMC+.

  • Artificial Stupidity: Down special is a powerful move at the best of times... but whenever the AI uses the move to enter its claw stance, it's unable to do much else besides moving straight towards the nearest player/whatever direction it's facing, escorting themselves to the blast-zone at worst.
  • Awesome, but Impractical: Their down special, with the ability to form a large claw limb to strike and inflict massive damage and knockback. Despite its incredible power, because of the startup of both the stance and the actual attack, it's all around tricky and unreliable to actually hit an opponent that'll likely close the gap. They are at least immune to flinching, and can harm foes by merely moving, but you're better off not relying on it for cheap kills.
  • Combat Tentacles: For the aerials and smash attacks, their constituent copies form tentacle-like limbs to extend beyond its normal range.
  • Long-Range Fighter: Their Combat Tentacles have sweet-spots that inflict more damage if it properly lands, but the sour/blind spots make it detrimental at close range.
  • Secret Character: Complete the challenge "Pipe Maze".
  • The Worm That Walks: The Smorg is more than one creature, being a swarm of... somethings that congregate together to result in one larger creature with Combat Tentacles.

    Dark Star

A malevolent being of darkness sought by Fawful for great power.

  • Casting a Shadow: Uses the element of darkness for most of its attacks.
  • Having a Blast: Mostly uses its power over darkness to create explosions of dark energy.
  • Invisibility: For its side-B, it vanishes while it slowly moves forward while B is held. If B is released, it reappears, creating a sudden dark explosion.
  • Living Shadow: Summons shadows of Mario and Luigi for its neutral-B, which then run at opponents as projectiles.
  • The Minion Master: Can summon up to two Dark Satellmites to assist it in battle with Eye Beams for its Down-B. However, to come to life, they must hit the ground, otherwise they act as ordinary projectiles and disappear on contact.
  • Throw Down the Bomblet: If two Dark Satellmites are already active, its down-B instead has it throw bombs instead.

Donkey Kong

    Diddy Kong
Debut: Donkey Kong Country
Crusade Mod Creator: Agent_5

Donkey Kong's young nephew and sidekick, retaining mostly the same moveset as in the official Smash games with some additional twists.

  • Balloonacy: His up-aerial has him briefly hold a 1-up Balloon, which can aid in recovery once per airborne state.
  • Confusion Fu: Using his Side-B on the ground has him do his Monkey Flip, making a leap forward that can either lead into a Grapple Move (with no input) or a flying kick (with an attack input).
  • Edible Ammunition: Shoots peanuts with his Peanut Popgun for his Neutral-B.
  • Human Cannonball: Using his Side-B in the air results in him ducking into a Barrel Cannon that points sideways and shoots Diddy out, strengthening his already powerful recovery.
  • Improbable Weapon User: Among the materials used for his attacks include a balloon for his up-aerial and juggling balls for his up-Smash.
  • Jet Pack: Uses his Rocketbarrel Pack to launch upwards for his Up-B. To make good use of it, the attack must be charged.
  • Spin Attack: His forward-smash has him do a double lariat punch.
  • Tail Slap: Incorporates tail strikes into his neutral jab and up-tilt.
  • Throw a Barrel at It: In lieu of a banana peel, Diddy instead tosses a barrel at foes for his Down-B here.

    Donkey Kong Jr.
Debut: Donkey Kong Junior
Crusade Mod Creator: WaluigiDX

The long-forgotten son of an incarnation of Donkey Kong, who may be the Country series' Donkey Kong or his father.

    King K. Rool
Debut: Donkey Kong Country
Crusade Mod Creator: WaluigiDX

The demented King of the Kremlings, Arch-Enemy of Donkey Kong and his clan.

  • Belly Flop Crushing: He doesn't hesitate to use his weight to crush his foes beneath his belly, using it in his Down-Smash, Down-Aerial, Dash Attack, and Up-Smash in different ways.
  • BFG: Uses a giant Blunderbuss from his Kaptain K. Rool persona to shoot entire cannonballs for his Neutral-B. It doubles as a vaccuum that can suck in foes.
  • Boxing Battler: Uses a single red glove from his Krusha K. Rool persona for his forward-Smash, and then outright turns into Krusha for his forward throw to deliver a flurry of punches.
  • Counter-Attack: Uses his fat belly to counter attacks for his Gut Check down-B.
  • Enemy Summoner: As an addition to his moveset, holding up while taunting allows him to summon one of three minions: a Gnawty, a Klaptrap, or a Zinger.
  • Hammered into the Ground: His down throw and down-tilt can both do this, setting the opponent up for deadly follow-ups.
  • Helicopter Pack: Uses his Propellerpack from his Baron K. Roolenstein persona to recover.
  • Immune to Flinching: Averted in regards to his "belly armor" mechanic from the official Smash games, as the engine as of yet lacks a way to have distinct hurtboxes on a character.
  • Precision-Guided Boomerang: Uses his Crown as a boomerang for his Side-B, Crownerang. Due to the inability of the Crusade engine to respawn it at the center of the stage, simply using Side-B again after losing his crown has K. Rool pull out a new one, albeit very slowly to balance the attack.
  • Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs: His forward throw has him briefly don his Krusha K. Rool singlet to rapidly punch the foe away.
  • Weapons That Suck: By holding down B after his Blunderbuss attack, he can use it as a vaccuum to suck in enemies.

Pokémon

    Breloom
Debut: Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire
Character Sprite Origin: Pokémon Type: Wild

A kangaroo-like Mushroom Pokémon, utilizing both plant-based abilities and martial arts as a Grass/Fighting-type.

  • Life Drain:
  • Mushroom Man: It's a mobile mushroom with the ability to use martial arts.
  • Pokémon Speak: Speaks its name like other Pokémon in Smash, although it exclusively uses anime voice clips of its Japanese name, Kinogassa.
  • Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs: Delivers a rapid series of Mach Punches for both its neutral-B and Forward Throw.
  • Rubber Man: Stretches its arms to deliver long-ranged punches, as per its Pokédex descriptions.
  • Shoryuken: Uses Sky Uppercut for its Up-B and Up Throw.
  • Tail Slap: Incorporates some tail strikes into its fighting style.
  • You Will Not Evade Me: Stretches its arm to grab and bring the opponent closer for its Side-B.

    Incineroar
Debut: Pokémon Sun and Moon
Character Mod Creator: El Gengar Solitario

The Heel Pokémon, a wrestling tiger who is the final evolution of the Alolan Fire Starter, Litten.

  • Charged Attack: Its Flamethrower for its grounded Neutral-B can be charged for more damage.
  • Death from Above: Its Up-B, Cross Chop, is essentially the same as it is in the official games, having Incineroar leap into the air then fall diagonally with its hands crossed.
  • Grapple Move: Its Alolan Whip from the official Smash games is instead reworked as its regular grab, with its pummel repeatedly throwing an opponent into wrestling ropes, and its up, down, and back throws all doing the same but throwing the opponent in the relevant direction.
  • Man Bites Man: In the air, its neutral-B is Fire Fang, which deals little damage but also strong keep-away knockback.
  • Same Character, But Different: While it takes significant inspiration from its portrayal in the official Smash games, its moveset is very different in this game.
  • Spin Attack: Its signature Darkest Lariat is reworked as its Side-B. It can be extended by holding down B, and it can also be directed left or right.
  • Squashed Flat: If you land the aerial version of its Down-B, Body Slam, the opponent is briefly flattened while they are immobilized.
  • Utility Belt: On the ground, its neutral-B is Flamethrower. Unlike most Pokémon who breathe it out, Incineroar shoots it from its "belt".
  • Wrestler in All of Us: It's a Pokémon modeled after Heel wrestlers, and so it brings in various wrestling moves like throwing opponents into ropes, dropkicks, and lariats.

The Legend of Zelda

    Zelda
Debut: The Legend of Zelda
Character Sprite Origin: Super Smash Flash 2
Character Mod Creator: Shiruzato/Mythos

The Princess of Hyrule and chosen wielder of the Triforce of Wisdom.

  • Attack Reflector: Her Nayru's Love can send projectiles back.
  • Charged Attack: As Din's Fire travels away from her, it becomes more explosive and damaging.
  • Counter-Attack: Her Down-B, Gleaming Rapier, works as a fairly straightforward counter move, defending with her rapier and retaliating with a series of quick slashes.
  • Deadly Force Field: Her neutral-B as usual is Nayru's Love, which doubles as a decently damaging keep-away move and a way to reflect projectiles.
  • Player-Guided Missile: Her Din's Fire can be moved up or down as it travels away.
  • Playing with Fire: Her side-B is Din's Fire, letting her send out a small orb of fire that explodes at will.
  • Royal Rapier: Wields her rapier from Twilight Princess for her Down-B as a Counter-Attack.
  • Sigil Spam: To give her moveset much more visual flair, her more powerful attacks have their hitboxes marked with a single golden triangle representing the Triforce of Wisdom.
  • Teleportation: Her up-B is Farore's Wind, which lets her teleport for recovery and can serve as a kill move on the reappearance.

    Sheik

The Sheikah disguise of Princess Zelda.

  • Chain Pain: Whips out her Chain for her Down-B. However, her ability to hold out and direct the move as in Melee and Brawl is not implemented.
  • Diving Kick: Her Side-B, Bouncing Fish, has her leap forward and do a flipping axe kick. It is an effective off-stage kill move.
  • Flechette Storm: Her Neutral-B, Needle Storm, has her prepare a number of needles depending on charge, then throwing them as a flurry, forward on the ground, and diagonally downward in the air.
  • Ninja: Having been trained in Sheikah arts, she's as agile and stealthy as a ninja should be.
  • Smoke Out: Vanishes and reappears in explosions for her Up-B, Vanish.
  • Stance System: Very downplayed. She is only selectable as a "mode" for Zelda on the character select screen, but there is no way for Zelda to switch to Sheik form or vice versa.

Kirby

    King Dedede

King Dedede

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dedede_2.png
Debut: Kirby's Dream Land (1992)
Crusade Mod Creator: Shiruzato (original) and Skieye (polish)

The greedy king of Dreamland equipped with his trusty hammer.

  • Art Evolution: The V8.1 update gives him some new sprites and changes some of his moves. His voice clips also use his voice from the English dub of the anime.
  • Assist Character: Dedede's side special prior to the V8.1 update, like how it works in Brawl, spawns a Waddle Dee, Waddle Doo and Gordo that Dedede hammers forward as a projectile — or at least that's how it would work, if they didn't despawn immediately to render its utility moot. The V8.1 update alters it to be Gordo Throw from Smash 4 and on instead.
  • The Cameo: Escargoon appears as part of Dedede's up throw to be weaponized.
  • Macross Missile Massacre: His grounded down special has him use his Masked Dedede hammer to shoot a few homing missiles.
  • Meteor Move: His down special's aerial variant has Dedede swing his mechanical hammer forward as a strong spike attack.
  • Secret Character: Complete the "Gourmet Race to the Finish" challenge.

    Chef Kawasaki

Chef Kawasaki

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chef_2.png
Debut: Kirby Super Star (1996)

A Chef who would start off as a mid-boss that provides Kirby the rare Cook ability, later gaining more prominence in other media as a supporting cast member and a Star Ally. In this Smash Bros fan-game/mod, he goes from an Assist Trophy in canon to a playable fighter.

  • Fighting Clown: We have a chef who fights via cooking tools and foodstuff. He's also rather clumsy in some of his attacks, throwing a plate upwards to land and smash on his head just as an example.
  • Frying Pan of Doom: As befitting of a chef, he wields a frying pan for his stronger attacks; forward smash for strong knockback, and forward air with its ability to spike.
  • Improbable Weapon User: Aside from the Frying Pan of Doom, we have Kawasaki wielding ladels and throwing plates and various foods for his attacks.
  • Secret Character: Complete the "Race to the Finish 3" challenge.

    Sir Kibble
Debut: Kirby's Dream Land
Character Mod Creator: Garfunkle.png

A perennial enemy of the Kirby series, Sir Kibble is a knight wielding the crest on his helm as a razor-sharp boomerang.

  • Battle Boomerang: As expected of the primary provider of the Cutter ability, Sir Kibble throws out two forms of Cutter Boomerang for his Neutral-B and Side-B.
  • Boomerang Comeback: While his boomerangs are effective projectiles when thrown in front of him, they are much more effective if Sir Kibble jumps over them on the return trip, giving them more range. His Side-B variant of the boomerang depends on this, as it sends out a boomerang that stays in place, charging up power until the player presses B again to make it come back.
  • Charged Attack: Can charge up his boomerangs to the more powerful Hyper Boomerang for both Neutral-B and Side-B. His Neutral-B uses the Kirby's Return to Dream Land form, charging the boomerang before he throws it out. His Side-B uses the Kirby and the Forgotten Land form, throwing out a boomerang that pauses in the air, charges passively, and can be commanded to be released and move again on another input of B.
  • Player-Guided Missile: Downplayed, the Cutter Boomerangs thrown by his neutral-B can be angled up or down.
  • Sword Beam: Shares the Final Cutter with Kirby for his Up-B, leaping up into the air and dropping downwards causing his boomerang to shoot out a shockwave.
  • Throwing Your Sword Always Works: Inverted. His primary weapon is mainly a boomerang meant for throwing, but for his normals, he has no problem using it as a melee weapon.
  • Video Game Sliding: Uses the Kirby slide move for his down-tilt.

    Dark Meta Knight
Debut: Kirby & the Amazing Mirror
Character Mod Creator: Garfunkle.png

The evil Mirror World counterpart of Meta Knight, enhancing his swordplay with mirror-based abilities.

  • Counter-Attack: Has one for his Down-B. He hides in his cape waiting for a strike, and if an attack connects, he splits into three mirror shards, with the shards subsequently skewering the opponent and Dark Meta Knight reforming for one final strike.
  • Doppelgänger Attack: He enhances some of his attacks with mirror doubles, including summoning one for his forward aerial, summoning three for his back aerial, and summoning a stack of four for his up-tilt.
  • Literally Shattered Lives: Downplayed; as reference to the intro of Amazing Mirror, landing his forward Smash causes the opponent to split into multicolored copies, although this is only a visual effect and the copies fall away immediately.
  • Long-Range Fighter: Whereas Meta Knight uses his overwhelming speed to rush down opponents with flurries of sword strikes, Dark Meta Knight instead uses slower, yet wide-reaching attacks to keep enemies at a distance.
  • Magic Mirror: Dark Meta Knight incorporates the mirror-based abilities he displays in Kirby: Triple Deluxe, including but not limited to attacking with mirror shards, summoning giant copies of his Mirror Galaxia through mirrors, and trapping enemies in a mirror for his grab.
  • Moveset Clone: Averted. Although he shares several animations with Meta Knight, his mirror abilities cause almost all the shared animations to be very different in function.
  • Sword Beam: Uses the Crescent Shot for his Neutral-B, letting him shoot projectiles from his Mirror Galaxia. It can be charged to fire up to three crescent shots.
  • Tornado Move: Shares the Mach Tornado with Meta Knight, but in addition to being input on Side-B instead of neutral-B, it trades speed and spammability for more power.

Fire Emblem

    Ike

Ike

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/agent5ike.png

Leader of the Greil Mercenaries and the Radiant Hero of Legend. Ike here is essentially the same as his canon Smash incarnation.

  • Adaptation Deviation: Averted, as he's effectively one-to-one to the official Smash moveset, with the only real major difference at first being his Final Smash — that is to say, he didn't have it. It was implemented in the V8 update.
  • Counter-Attack: The same as official; Ike entering a stance and responding to attacks in this state with a heavy sword swing.
  • Mighty Glacier: Like how he's depicted in the official Smash games, Ike's got strong attacks that are often offset by his frame-data, in addition to his slow movement speed.

    Ephraim

The prince of Renais and twin brother of Eirika.

  • Charged Attack: His Side-B has him charge power through twirling his spear, then rushing forward with it outstretched. Charging the attack more by holding B has him fly farther and strengthens the attack.
  • Damage-Increasing Debuff: His Down-B applies a defense debuff to an enemy, who gets marked with a green "aura" and has their defense reduced to 75%.
  • Javelin Thrower: Tosses his spear forward for his neutral-B.
  • Instant Flight: Just Add Spinning!: His up aerial propels him slightly upwards as he twirls his spear above him, but this can only be done once per airborne state.
  • Limited Animation: He directly uses the sprites of his debut game, meaning he doesn't have much variety in his animations.
  • Weapon Twirling: Twirls his spear around in many of his attack animations.

    Chrom
Debut: Fire Emblem: Awakening
Character Sprite Origin: Project × Zone
Character Mod Creator: Agent_5

The prince and later Exalt of Ylisse, descended from Marth.

  • Combos: Instead of Double-Edged Dance from the official games, Chrom has a similar "rekka" move involving various spears. The finisher can be varied depending on the directional input, from a Javelin toss for side, a Silver Spear thrust for down, and a rising uppercut with a Killing Edge for up.
  • Cool Sword: Wields the same Falchion as Marth, which according to supplementary material had its hilt reforged but the same blade.
  • Counter-Attack: Has the usual Fire Emblem Counter for his down-B.
  • Javelin Thrower: The side-input finisher of his Side-B has him toss out a Javelin for a projectile.
  • Shock and Awe: His neutral-B has him wield a Levin Sword to cast lightning. It otherwise works the same as his Flare Blade from the official games, being able to be charged for more damage, albeit without a self-damage penalty for overcharging.
  • Multi-Melee Master: Wields a number of different spears for his Side-B in addition to his Falchion.

    Cordelia
Debut: Fire Emblem: Awakening
Character Mod Creator: jtownkid1

A pegasus knight of Ylisse, known for her great skill in battle and her unrequited love for Chrom.

Metroid

    Samus (Revamp)
Debut: Metroid
Character Sprite Origin: Super Smash Flash 2
Character Mod Creator: Shiruzato/Mythos

The Legendary Bounty Hunter raised by the Chozo, now revamped to incorporate more of her abilities from her home series.

  • Charged Attack: To incorporate enhanced versions of her specials, Samus can expend a Charge Beam by holding down B and inputting Side-B for a Storm Missile or Down-B for a Power Bomb.
  • An Ice Person: Her up, back, and forward throws incorporate her Ice Beam, letting her freeze opponents at high enough damage.
  • Macross Missile Massacre: Her Storm Missile from Dread is an addition to her usual Missile Side-B, as while Samus has a Charge Beam prepared and holds down B, Samus shoots a massive wave of missiles to rack up damage.
  • More Dakka: Her revamped F-Smash shoots a volley of rapid-fire shots from her Arm Cannon, ending with a blast to send opponents away.
  • Pistol-Whipping: Her Up-Tilt references the Melee Counter from Samus Returns, delivering an uppercut with her cannon. While it can't parry opponents, it has some invincibility on its short start up.
  • Same Character, But Different: She's been rebuilt from the ground up with Smash Flash 2's better sprites plus edits to her moveset to make her actions flashier.
  • Super-Speed: As something of an Easter Egg, Samus's Speed Booster activates if she is continuously dashing for a short amount of time, increasing her run speed.

    E.M.M.I.
Debut: Metroid Dread
Character Sprite Origin: Rivals of Aether Workshop
Character Mod Creator: Sk00ps

The Extraplanetary Multiform Mobile Identifier, sent to investigate a possible outbreak of X Parasites, then stolen by the Chozo warlord Raven Beak to oppose Samus.

  • Composite Character: The individual E.M.M.I.s had unique special abilities distinct from one another, but the playable one here combines all of them into one moveset.
  • Explosion Propulsion: Uses 07PB's Power Bombs to generate big explosions to propel it upward if Up-B is done in the air.
  • Freeze Ray: Uses 05IM's Ice Beam for its Side-B, creating a burst of ice attempting to freeze an opponent.
  • Grapple Move: Its Down-B, Execute, attempts to grab an opponent. Should it successfully grab an opponent, they are subsequently skewered by its "eye drill" for a powerful kill move, though like in Dread, opponents can escape by shielding at the right time.
  • Living Motion Detector: If using its Up-B on the ground, it sends out a Sonar Pulse to detect nearby enemies. If an opponent is within the field, E.M.M.I receives a boost to its Awareness.
  • Mechanically Unusual Fighter: It has a special "Awareness" mechanic for its gimmick. Normally, it constantly emits a searchlight from its eye, and if an opponent is within its searchlight its Awareness increases. As Awareness increases, it goes from Patrol mode, to Search mode, to Pursuit mode, all increasing in attack power and speed.
  • The Paralyzer: Uses 06WB's Wave Beam for its Neutral B, sending out an Energy Ball that stuns an opponent when landed.
  • Press X to Not Die: To balance its Down-B being a powerful killing grab move, a grabbed opponent can shield right before the E.M.M.I. drills into them to escape.
  • Super-Speed: Uses 04SB's Speed Booster for its dash attack, running forward while wreathed in electricity.

    Dark Samus

The evolution of the Metroid Prime, using technology stolen and copied from Samus.

  • Arm Cannon: Has one similar to Samus, having stolen the Phazon Suit from her.
  • Divergent Character Evolution: She's a straight Moveset Clone of Samus in Ultimate, but this game gives her several different moves.
  • Flash Step: Her Up-B lets her recovery by moving upwards in a quick burst. Inputting to the side quickly allows her to move to the side, then upwards.
  • Homing Projectile: Her Ice Missile homes in on opponents like Samus's normal Missile. Notably, there is no "Super" variant that trades homing for power.
  • An Ice Person: Uses the Ice Missile for her Side-B.
  • Moveset Clone: She still retains most of the same moveset as Samus in her normals, but most of her specials are different.
  • Power Floats: Floats without her feet touching the ground for her idle, walk, and run animations.
  • Spread Shot: Her Shrapnel Beam is her Neutral-B. Normally, it shoots only one Phazon projectile forward, but charging it up creates a scatter of projectiles that fan out in random directions.

Kid Icarus

    Pit
Debut: Kid Icarus
Character Sprite Origin: Super Smash Flash 2
Character Mod Creator: PT-Bravo

The loyal angel who leads Palutena's Army. His moveset is somewhat modified from the official Smash games to incorporate a few more elements from Uprising.

  • Blow You Away: Instead of the Mirror Shield or Guardian Orbitars that act as an Attack Reflector, Pit uses the Jetstream Orbitars for his Down-B, which creates a windbox to keep opponents at a distance.
  • Dual Wielding: His Palutena Bow can split into two small swords for close range, though Pit occassionally uses both parts attached for a few moves.
  • Energy Bow: His Palutena Bow shoots arrows made of pure light.
  • Explosion Propulsion: Instead of the Wings of Pegasus or Power of Flight, Pit instead points an EZ Cannon downwards and uses the explosion to propel himself upwards for his Up-B.
  • More Dakka: His Palutena Bow is altered to incorporate this instead of the ability to aim and direct the arrow. If B is quickly pressed again and held down after shooting the initial arrow, Pit shoots a rapid stream of weaker arrows that can't flinch an opponent.
  • Power Fist: Rushes forward with the Upperdash Arm to deliver a strong uppercut for his Side-B.
  • Sacred Bow and Arrows: Wields the Palutena Bow, a bow crafted by Palutena herself that shoots Hard Light arrows and doubles as a pair of small swords for melee.
  • Video Game Flight: Despite being a "flightless angel", he can flap his wings to propel himself upwards up to three times for his midair jumps.

    Palutena
Debut: Kid Icarus
Character Sprite Origin: Super Smash Flash 2 mod
Character Mod Creator: DrContext

Pit's liege, the Goddess of Light.

  • Attack Reflector: Using her Counter against a projectile has her use Reflect, summoning a magical wall that sends the projectile in the opposite direction.
  • Counter-Attack: Uses Counter for her Down-B. On a melee attack, she retaliates with a Shield Bash, while on a projectile, she uses Reflect to send it back.
  • Homing Projectile: Uses Autoreticle for her Neutral-B, creating a field of light to detect opponents, then sending a collection of magic blasts at one if they are in range.
  • Magic Staff: Her Staff of Authority can be used as a melee weapon and to cast magic alike.
  • Pillar of Light: Her Up Smash has her summon a tall pillar of light, giving it surprisingly high reach for a normal attack.
  • Playing with Fire: Uses Explosive Flame for her Side-B, instantly creating an explosion of fire at a distance depending on how much the control stick is tilted.
  • Shield Bash: Hits an opponent with her shield for her Counter on a melee attack and her back aerial.
  • Teleportation: Uses Warp for her Up-B, a standard teleportation recovery.

Star Fox

    Wolf
Debut: Star Fox 64
Character Mod Creator: DrContext (polish) and OcarinaofTime (original)

Wolf O'Donnell, the unscrupulous leader of the criminal mercenary band Star Wolf, who has a bitter rivalry with Fox.

  • Attack Reflector: Has a Reflector for his down-B, creating an energy shield that sends projectiles back.
  • Bayonet Ya: While it isn't visible due to sprite limitations, Wolf's Blaster still has its bayonet on it, giving it a melee hitbox.
  • Flash Step: His Side-B, Wolf Flash. Unlike Fox and Falco's variants, it moves diagonally upwards but has a sweet spot at the end that functions as a powerful kill move.
  • Moveset Clone: Downplayed much like in the official Smash games; he has modified versions of all of Fox's specials, but almost entirely different normals.
  • Ray Gun: Has a Blaster for his neutral-B. Unlike Fox and Falco's Blasters, it can't be spammed, but its individual projectiles are much more powerful, plus the Blaster itself has a bayonet at close-range.

    Leon
Debut: Star Fox 64
Character Mod Creator: LJCrazy and Nicolas Brown

Leon Powalski, a sadistic chameleon who serves as Star Wolf's second-in-command.

  • Beware My Stinger Tail: He is shown to have a spike ball at the end of his tail, which he uses in his back aerial.
  • Counter-Attack: His Down-B is a counter move. If an attack lands, Leon invisibly sneaks behind the opponent to stab them with a knife.
  • Flash Step: Has a variant of Fox Illusion for his Side-B. It's primarily the same as Fox's, though it covers more distance and Leon turns invisible before rushing forward.
  • Hollywood Chameleons: Has the ability to turn invisible like the common fictional chameleon. He weaponizes this for his Down-B and Side-B.
  • In the Back: Succesfully countering an attack with his Down-B, has Leon vanish, reappear behind the opponent, and stab them with a knife.
  • Multipurpose Tongue:
    • His Up-B has him sling his tongue upwards, letting him tether back onto the stage. If used on an opponent, he can pull himself towards them, allowing him to close the distance and follow up.
    • Leon also utilizes his tongue for his grab and throws, naturally giving it considerable range.
  • Ray Gun: Has a Blaster like Fox, Falco, and Wolf for his neutral-B. Leon's is distinguished by shooting weak, flinching shots, but holding down B has him shoot once, then twice, then three times in succession.

Other

    Primid
Home Series: The Subspace Emissary
Character Mod Creator: Cielbami

A common footsoldier of the Subspace Army that threatened the World of Trophies. This Primid in particular utilizes its composition of Shadow Bugs to transform into and summon various members of said army.

  • Battle Boomerang: Uses the boomerang of a Boom Primid for its Side Special. On the ground, it's thrown diagonally upwards; in the air, it's thrown diagonally downwards.
  • Beak Attack: Summons and wields an Auroros as a spear for its forward Smash, with its beak acting as the spearhead.
  • Blow You Away: Summons a Borboras to blow the opponent back with wind for its forward throw.
  • Breath Weapon: Breathes fire like a Fire Primid for its down special.
  • Car Fu: Summons and rides a Roader as a motorcycle, attempting to ram into opponents in its path.
  • Combat Tentacles: Uses a Feyesh tentacle for its grab.
  • Cumulonemesis: Summons and rides a Spaak upwards for its Up Special. It leaves behind electric sparks as it flies upwards, and it can be charged to fly farther and scatter more sparks.
  • Fastball Special: Summons a Primid to toss it forward for its down tilt.
  • Ground Pound: Transforms into a Towtow and plunges downwards for its down aerial.
  • Horrifying the Horror: Summons the infamously scary ghostlike Floow for its Back Throw. Even the Primid, itself a shapeshifting mass of Shadow Bugs, finds it scary, as it panics when it does the throw.
  • Kiss of Death: Summons a pair of Bucculus which kiss the opponent to suck out their life for its down throw.
  • Laser Blade: Uses a Beam Sword from the Sword Primids for its forward and up tilts.
  • Living Structure Monster: Transforms into the tower-like Gamyga for its Up-Smash. Holding down B before the transformation is complete allows it to fire its Eye Beams in either horizontal direction.
  • Mook Maker: Creates a Generator to summon two Bytans to either side for its down Smash.
  • Power Pincers: Uses the claw of an Armank for its back aerial.
  • Ray Gun: Uses the Super Scope of a Scope Primid for its Neutral Special. It can either fire three weak shots with no charge or a single strong shot when charged.
  • Shapeshifter Weapon: Its attacks that don't involve creating other enemies or weapons involve transforming its limbs into the weapons of other enemies.
  • Shock and Awe: Can attack using lightning with both a Spaak for its up special and Glunder for its up throw.
  • Sinister Scythe: Swings around the scythe arms of a Greap for its neutral aerial.
  • Throw Down the Bomblet: Tosses its head upwards, which turns into the explosive head of a Bombed for a projectile.

    Starfy
Character Sprite Origin: Rivals of Aether Workshop
Character Mod Creator: Keeby219

The prince of the Pufftop Kingdom, who has traits of both a celestial star and a starfish.

  • Assist Character: Starfy is assisted by several characters who have appeared throughout his series:
    • Summons the Mermaid who runs save points for his Up Smash.
    • Summons and merges with Bunston for his Side Smash, Side-B, and Down-B.
    • Moe the Clam appears for his Down-Smash.
    • The Propeller Bit airlifts him for his Up-B.

  • Grievous Harm with a Body: Uses the Powerful Spin to hit enemies with Moe the Clam for his Down-Smash.
  • Heli-Critter: Recovers assisted by the Propeller Bit in his Up-B.
  • An Ice Person: Uses Bunston's Starpedo form's Ice Spike for his forward Smash.
  • Spin Attack: Uses his signature Star Spin for his neutral-B, which can be repeated up to four times in midair before he goes into freefall.
  • Will-o'-the-Wisp: Uses Bunston's Starfright from to plant a small purple flame as a trap for Down-B.
