Tanks

Tanks can take a significant beating, either through sporting the highest amounts of hitpoints of any Brawler in the game or through a combination of passive and active skills which allow their survival. Tanks are typically very strong in close range encounters and directly counter Assassins. They have a fair chance against Artillery/Marksmen if they manage to get close enough, but are susceptible to the high damage output of Damage Dealers which directly counter them.

    Ash

Release Date: 30/08/2021
Voiced by: Russ Bain
Alternate Skins: Ninja Ash, Pizza Oven Ash, Krampus Ash, Piñata Ash, True Silver/Gold Ash

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ash_bs_full_body.png
Ash has the thankless job of keeping the park clean. He's climbed into a trash can to protect himself from the broken glass and rat bites. It makes him grumpy!

An Epic Brawler, and part of the currently incomplete Castle Courtyard trio along with Grom. Ash is the janitor of the castle attraction in Starr Park, wearing a castle-shaped trashcan as an armor to protect himself from harm.

Ash is a tank who can make use of his high health to become faster and stronger with the help of the enemy, as he can attain progressive stat boosts by either dealing or receiving damage by them.

  • Ash's special Trait is a Rage bar that fills up from either dealing or receiving damage, giving him progressing speed and damage boosts but also decaying over time if not being filled up. This Rage bar is divided into three segments: the first segment grants 50% damage bonus and gives him Fast speed, while the second segment grants a 100% damage bonus and gives him Very Fast speed. The third segment does not grant extra boosts.
  • His Attack, Clean-Up, has Ash angrily smashing down with his broom, sending a piercing shockwave in front of him that charges his Rage by 12.5%. This attack has a slight delay before Ash smashes his broom.
  • His Super, Little Helpers, spawns five robotic rats (for cleaning up!) with low health and damage that chase the nearest enemy and explode upon contact with them in a small radius, charging his Rage by 15% each.
  • His first Gadget, Chill Pill, recovers up to 30% of Ash's maximum health depending on how much his Rage bar is filled, depleting the entire bar afterwards.
  • His second Gadget, Rotten Banana, fills 40% of Ash's Rage bar at the cost of 25% of his current health.
  • His first Star Power, First Bash, doubles the amount of Rage charged from Ash's main attack when his ammo bars are full. This doesn't affect the charge from his Super or his second Gadget.
  • His second Star Power, Mad As Heck, grants him an up to 40% reload speed bonus depending on his current amount of Rage.

  • Action Bomb: The robotic rats his Super produces chase down the nearest enemy and explode on contact.
  • Ambiguously Human: It's hard to tell if Ash is a human or not given that the area on his face is always in the dark thanks to his armor.
  • Angry Fist-Shake: Does this in his standard winning animation after cleaning up a bottle that was thrown at him.
  • Anthropomorphic Food: His robotic rats take the appearance of pizza slices and pieces of candy in his Pizza Oven and Piñata skins, respectively.
  • Bad Job, Worse Uniform: Ash is a harried janitor, dressed in a trash can he uses to protect himself from hazards.
  • Berserk Button: Any sign of trash or vandalism in the Castle Courtyard will be enough to severely piss him off.
  • Begin with a Finisher: The purpose of his First Bash Star Power is to give Ash the necessary Rage to go from a Stone Wall to a Lightning Bruiser in just one hit from his broom, as opposed to the two or three it usually takes.
  • Broomstick Quarterstaff: Ash attacks using a broom he holds like a sword, as if he were a knight. In addition, his "shield" is actually a dustpan.
  • Cast from Hit Points: His Rotten Banana Gadget fills up his Rage bar by 40% at the cost of 25% of Ash's current health.
  • Chef of Iron: His Pizza Oven skin has him become a pizza chef with the appropriate uniform.
  • Cool Mask: His rats take the appearance of kabuki masks in his Ninja skin.
  • Cool Sword: His Ninja skin replaces his broom with an actual katana.
  • Cooldown Manipulation: If he has the Mad As Heck Star Power, Ash can progressively reload faster depending on how much Rage he has filled up.
  • Cross-Popping Veins: Show this after getting enough Rage.
  • Defeat Equals Explosion: He blows up in a shower of candy in the defeat animation of his Piñata skin.
  • Enemy Summoner: His Super summons a group of robotic rats to chase and distract the enemy.
  • Epic Flail: Carries one of these in his Piñata skin.
  • Every Pizza Is Pepperoni: The pizzas he makes in his Pizza Oven skin always come out with stereotypical pepperoni toppings.
  • Extreme Omnivore: R-T's introduction video show him eating trash out of a trash can in a security camera.
  • Fireball Eyeballs: His eyes become literal fireballs in his Pizza Oven skin, as his face is where he cooks his pizzas.
  • Fragile Speedster: Not Ash himself, but the robotic rats summoned by his Super. They are very fast, but deal Scratch Damage and have so little HP a single hit from any source is enough to destroy them. Their main purpose isn't actually dealing damage, but rather distract the enemy and fill up Ash's Rage bar, as each rat that hits an enemy grants him 15% of it.
  • Funny Foreigner: He's a Violent Glaswegian with a Hair-Trigger Temper and a penchant for Trash Talking his opponents, not to mention the fact that he's a janitor whose job uniform consists of a trash can and whose weapons are a broom and a dustpan.
  • Gathering Steam: Ash's stats are mediocre if he has no Rage built up, but as he deals and takes damage, his speed and damage increase to astonishing levels.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: Ash seems to be in a perpetually bad mood at all times, to the point even dealing damage himself is enough to piss him off and build up his Rage bar.
  • Heal Thyself: His Chill Pill Gadget heals Ash up to 30% maximum health depending on how much Rage he has stored, though it'll also deplete it.
  • Highly-Visible Ninja: His Ninja skin gives Ash a rather convincing ninja suit... while still being a bulky, rectangular trash can incapable of fooling anyone.
  • Hollywood Giftwrap: His armor becomes one of these in his Krampus skin, with the top of the giftwrap serving as his shield.
  • Horns of Villainy: Gets a pair of sinister-looking horns in his Krampus skin, which transforms Ash into, well, a krampus.
  • Improbable Weapon User: Ash's primary attack is done using a broom which somehow produces a shockwave. In addition, he also uses a dustpan as a (admittedly cosmetic) shield. Its Pizza Oven skin, on the other hand, replaces his broom and dustpan with a pizza peel and a pizza box, respectively.
  • The Krampus: Becomes a Krampus-like monster in his Krampus skin, acquiring a pair of horns, claws, and red eyes. The rest of his body is concealed in a present box.
  • Lightning Bruiser: An Ash with his Rage bar full (heck, even half of it is often enough) can shave off large chunks of health from his enemies and move at Assassin-levels of speed while still having Tank-levels of max HP.
  • Our Centaurs Are Different: His Piñata skin transforms him into a centaur-shaped piñata who attacks with a flail.
  • Punny Name: Ash uses a trash can as an armor.
  • Stock Ninja Weaponry: His Ninja skin replaces his broomstick with a katana and his dustpan with an oversized shuriken. In addition, he's got a sickle and a kunai sticking out of the top of his armor.
  • Stone Wall: If he has no Rage built up, Ash has a very low damage output. His health, however, is high enough to be a Tank.
  • Sword Plant: He does this with his katana in the win animation of his Ninja skin.
  • Trash Talk: He stands out as one of the Brawlers with most of the voicelines that involve trash-talking his opponents in some way, often calling them rubbish and trash to go with his janitor theme.
  • Unconventional Food Usage: He uses a chocolate modeled after a shield in his Piñata skin.
  • Unstoppable Rage: An Ash with a full Rage bar basically boils down to a fast, unstoppable machine capable of destroying other non-Tank Brawlers in one or two hits. If there's a healer in his team keeping Ash healthy, expect a Total Party Kill in seconds.
  • Violent Glaswegian: Ash has a very strong Scottish accent, and he's angry all the time.
  • Zerg Rush: His Super summons 5 robotic rats that chase down the nearest enemy.

    Bibi

Release Date: 21/05/2019
Voiced by: Bindy Coda
Alternate Skins: Heroine Bibi, ZomBibi, Bibilante, Vicious Bibi, Bibi RJ, Bubblegum Bibi, Cursed Pirate Bibi, Thor Bibi, True Silver/Gold Bibi

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bibi_bs_full_body.png
"Mr. Bat wants to play."
Bibi is a tough punk with a baseball bat and an attitude to match. She's a bit of a nerd too, but she'd never show it. She's got an image to maintain!

An Epic Brawler, and part of the the Retropolis trio along with Bull and Crow. Bibi is a bat-wielding delinquent with a penchant for chewing gum and smacking her opponents hard enough to send them flying back.

Bibi is an extremely agile Brawler who, in spite of not having a HP as high as her fellow Tanks, makes up for it with her top-notch speed that allows her to constantly pressure the opposition while evading everything thrown at her.

  • Her Attack, Three Strikes, has Bibi swing her baseball bat in a wide arc towards the enemy. If her ammo bars are full, an additional Home Run bar starts to charge for two seconds; once it gets full, Bibi's next basic attack can knock enemies back.
  • Her Super, Spitball, shoots a piercing bouncing ball of bubble gum that can bounce off solid objects and hit the same target multiple times. This bubble gum ball disappears after 5 seconds, and Bibi can have more than one on the battlefield at the time.
  • Her first Gadget, Vitamin Booster, will heal Bibi 10% of her maximum health per second for 4 seconds for a total of 40% of her maximum health regained.
  • Her second Gadget, Extra Sticky, makes her next Super slow down targets on hit for 3 seconds, though it does not apply to currently active spitballs. Striking an enemy multiple times with this Gadget does not stack the slowing effect, but it does reset the timer.
  • Her first Star Power, Home Run, increases her movement speed by 12% while her main attack's Home Run bar is fully charged.
  • Her second Star Power, Batting Stance, gives Bibi a shield that negates 20% of all incoming damage while her main attack's Home Run bar is fully charged.
  • Her Hypercharge, Out of Bounds, will split Bibi's bubblegum bubble in two if she hits an enemy with it. The split bubbles won't split again if they keep hitting enemies, however. She also gains 5% more damage, 24% more speed, and a 25% damage reduction shield.

  • '50s Hair: Just look at that pompadour.
  • All Bikers are Hells Angels: Her jacket and her having a bat as a weapon really gives this away.
  • Ballistic Bone: Both her ZomBibi and Cursed Pirate skins throw ghostly skulls for her Super.
  • Batter Up!: She uses an aluminum bat to smacks enemies over the head with.
  • Bubblegum Popping: Her victory/idle animation has her constantly popping bubbles from her chewing gum.
  • Charged Attack: If Bibi has all her three ammo bars, a second bar will charge over two seconds, allowing her next attack to Knockback enemies.
  • Closet Geek: According to her description at least. Might be an armored closet considering how she insults her enemies by calling them "nerd" in one voiceline.
  • Cool Mask: Her Vicious skin gives her a surgical mask with a red "X" printed on it, while her Bibilante skin gives her a White Mask of Doom instead.
  • Cool Sword: Her Heroine and Cursed Pirate skins replace her aluminum bat with a sword and a sabre, respectively.
  • Companion Cube: She seems to be very fond of her bat, and has even named it Mr. Bat.
    I love you Mr. Bat.
  • Damage Reduction: Her Batting Stance Star Power gives her a 20% damage reduction shield whenever her Home Run bar is fully charged.
  • Dub Name Change: The French localization calls her Billie.
  • Edible Bludgeon: Her Bubblegum skin replaces her baseball bat with an oversized lollipop.
  • Everything's Deader with Zombies: Her ZomBibi skin turns her into a green-colored zombie with a spiky bat.
  • Ghost Pirate: The theme of her Cursed Pirate skin, which makes Bibi a blue-skinned, red-eyed Pirate Girl who attacks with a sabre and a ball of ghostly energy for her Super.
  • Girlish Pigtails: Her Heroine skin replaces her pompadour with a pair of neon-blue pigtails.
  • Glowing Eyes: Gains them in her Thor skin, appearing as if her eyes were charged with electricity.
  • God of Thunder: In her Thor skin.
  • Gratuitous Japanese: Two of her possible lines: she may say "Sayonara!" when defeating an enemy, and "Konnichi-whack!" when using her Super.
  • Heal Thyself: Her Vitamin Booster Gadget lets Bibi heal for 10% of her maximum health during 4 seconds, for a total of 40%.
  • Japanese Delinquent: Her main inspiration comes from these, being a Japanese punk with a tough attitude who's always carrying a baseball bat around.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Bibi is naturally fast (and can be even faster with her Home Run Star Power), has lots of HP, and very good damage potential courtesy of her fast reload speed. This is balanced by her being a Close-Range Combatant, however.
  • Percussive Therapy: She angrily kicks her sabre away in the defeat animation of her Cursed Pirate skin.
  • Pinball Projectile: Her Super is a big ball of bubblegum that bounces off walls until it disappears after 5 seconds, potentially damaging the same objective multiple times if they don't get out of its trajectory. If an enemy happens to be in an enclosed space when Bibi throws her bubblegum at them, they'll become minced meat in seconds.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: She's noticeably shorter than every other human Brawler who isn't explicitly a child, but manages to stand on equal footing with other Tanks in power and endurance.
  • Punny Name: Bibi = BB = Baseball.
  • Recursive Ammo: Her Hypercharged Super will split into two if it hits an enemy.
  • Savage Spiked Weapons: Both her Vicious and ZomBibi skins give her spike-covered bats, though the latter also takes elements from flails.
  • Shout-Out:
  • Sticky Situation: Her Extra Sticky Gadget can slow down enemies if they're hit by her Super once activated.
  • Summon to Hand: Does this with her sword in the winning animation of her Heroine skin.
  • Sword Plant: Does one of these in the winning animation of her Heroine skin.
  • Thunder Hammer: Her bat becomes a hammer in her Thor skin, referencing the eponymous God's hammer Mjölnir. When she defeats an enemy with it, their kill animation shows them being struck by a thunder.
  • Unwanted Assistance: A particular issue with her regarding her Knockback mechanic. While it can serve as an invaluable tool for defense, controlling objectives, and interrupting telegraphed/lengthy attacks before they can be fully executed, it can also sometimes result in Bibi accidentally saving the enemy from impending defeat, as not only her short range can make knocking back enemies too far away counterproductive, but also put them out of her teammate's range or in a safe spot behind their allies. Naturally, this forces Bibi to play carefully around her knockbacks, as deciding when she should smack an enemy with a fully charged Home Run bar or waste a piece of ammo so she won't do so can mean the difference between confirming a kill or not.

    Bull

Release Date: 15/06/2017 (Original)
Voiced by: Bill Russell
Alternate Skins: Viking Bull, Touchdown/Linebacker Bull, Barbarian King Bull, Space Ox Bull, B-800, Lion Bull, Bull Mang, Alleycat Bull, True Silver/Gold Bull

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bull_bs_full_body_2.png
"Don't mess with the Bull!"
Bull isn't as carefree as he was in his youth, but just because his rowdy days are behind him doesn't mean he won't still crush someone who's asking for it.

A Rare Brawler, and part of the Retropolis trio along with Crow and Bibi. He's a large, heavy bruiser and gang member who mostly behaves like a bull.

Thanks to his varied kit, Bull can excel at either offensive or defensive roles depending on his team's needs, as he possesses a high health pool and a variety of survival tools for eating up hits while also having ways to close the gap between him and his enemies for attacking.

  • Bull's special Trait allows him charge his Super from receiving damage by other Brawlers, needing to receive 2.4x of his max health in damage to fully charge a Super.
  • His Attack, Double-Barrel, attacks with his double-barreled shotgun that shoots 5 shells and deal heavy damage up close, making him an excellent character for ambushing enemies and staying on the front lines.
  • His Super, Bulldozer, makes Bull charge full-tilt in a desired direction, destroying cover and knocking back any enemies caught in his path for a long distance.
  • His first Gadget, T-Bone Injector, instantly heals Bull for 20% of his maximum health.
  • His second Gadget, Stomper, allows him to interrupt his Super and slow down all nearby opponents around him with a massive stomp for 1.5 seconds.
  • His first Star Power, Berserker, doubles Bull's reload speed when he falls below 60% health.
  • His second Star Power, Tough Guy, generates a shield that absorbs 30% of all damage received if his health falls below 40%.
  • His Hypercharge, Jaws of Steel, reduces the damage Bull takes by 80% while his Super is active. He also gains 5% more damage, 25% more speed, and a 25% damage reduction shield.

  • '50s Hair: Sports one hell of a pompadour.
  • All Bikers are Hells Angels: Aggressive voice lines? Check. Bulky build? Check. Leather jacket? Check. Part of a biker gang? Check check!
  • Alliterative Name: According to Bull's former in-game description, his full name is Bull Blanco.
"Bull Blanco is like a bull in a China Shop. A bull with a double barrel shotgun."
  • Animal Disguise: Goes dressed as a lion in his Lion skin.
  • Animal Motifs: Cows, or specifically, bulls. He wears a nose ring in a similar fashion to a bull, is physically intimidating, and his Super has him charging headfirst into the distance, much like fighter bull.
  • Attack Animal: His shotgun gets replaced with a cat in his Alleycat skin, coughing up hairballs as its main attack.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: It is revealed that his personality as Bull is not himself, but the effect a Starr Park employee suffered from touching a gem left by Dynamike on his counter.
  • Blood Knight: Judging from some of his dialogues, he really likes to brawl with others.
    You wanna brawl?
  • Boring, but Practical: His T-Bone Injector Gadget instantly heals Bull for 20% maximum health... and that's it. There's no need to wait a few seconds for the full effect like Bibi's Vitamin Booster, or lose firepower like Ash's Chill Pill. It's just an old and reliable healing technique without any drawbacks or fancy effects.
  • Calling Your Attacks: One of his possible lines when using his Super is screaming "BULLDOZEEEEER!!!"
  • Casual Sports Jersey: His Touchdown and Linebacker skins fully dress Bull in American football uniforms.
  • Cats Are Mean: Gets attacked by his own cat in the defeat animation of his Alleycat skin. Said cat is also implied to be the reason why Bull lost his eye in said skin.
  • Cool Sword: His shotgun takes the appearance of one in his Barbarian King skin.
  • Cooldown Manipulation: His Berserker Star Power doubles his reload speed while below 60% health.
  • Critical Status Buff: Both of his Star Powers either double his reload speed or grant him a shield at low health.
  • Cyborg: His B-800 skin transforms him into a half-human, half-robot hybrid.
  • Damage Reduction: His Tough Guy Star Power gives Bull a permanent 30% damage reduction shield as long as his health is below 40%.
  • Dash Attack: His Super allows Bull to skip a large part of the map by dashing forward (even over water) and destroying obstacles in his way.
  • Desert Skull: His shotgun takes the appearance of one of these in his Lion skin.
  • The Don: Becomes a well-dressed, cat-petting mafia boss in his Alleycat skin.
  • Eye Scream: He's missing his left eye in his Alleycat skin, sporting a red-colored prosthetic in place. Judging by the scratch marks over his face, it's implied his Right-Hand Cat did it to him.
  • Eyepatch of Power: Not Bull himself, but the Right-Hand Cat he carries around and attacks with in his Alleycat skin sports one of these
  • Foe-Tossing Charge: His Super lets him charge through obstacles and flings enemies out of the way.
  • Friendly Shopkeeper: Before he touched the gem that Dynamike accidentally dropped, he was a Gentle Giant and a friendly, smiling attendant; nowadays, not so much. It is worth noting that even with the delinquent persona he was still happy to do his job, at least before Leon stole his gem.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: After he touches one of the brainwashing gems, Bull goes from a simple and friendly restaurant attendant to an out of control and aggressive delinquent, who is very willing to kill Leon.
  • Gun Accessories: His shotgun gets various "costumes" in some of his skins: an axe in his Viking skin, a football in his Touchdown and Linebacker skins, a sword in his Barbarian King skin, and a bovine skull in his Lion skin.
  • Heal Thyself: His T-Bone Injector Gadget instantly heals Bull for 20% of his maximum health.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Bull is fast, deals a ton of damage up close, and has a lot of HP to boot.
  • Manly Facial Hair: His Barbarian King skin gives him a mustache with sideburns, while his Viking skin sports a braided beard instead.
  • Meaningful Name: His name is Bull, and he behaves like the eponymous animal.
  • Muscles Are Meaningless: Even though he's big, strong and has a shotgun, Nita still destroys him when her powers are activated.
  • One-Way Visor: In his Space Ox skin.
  • Right-Hand Cat: His Alleycat skin, which turns him into The Don, has him holding a cat he pets during his win animation. He also attacks with it in place of his shotgun, coughing up hairballs as its main attack.
  • Sean Connery Is About to Shoot You: He does this towards the player in the win animation of his B-800 skin.
  • Short-Range Shotgun: His shotgun doesn't have that much range beyond punching distance, but it will annihilate everything within that range.
  • Shotguns Are Just Better: He wields a double-barreled shotgun that can easily obliterate all but the toughest Brawlers, in spite of its short range.
  • Shockwave Stomp: His Stomper Gadget lets him interrupt his Super to unleashe a stomp that slows enemies around him.
  • Shout-Out:
    • His Barbarian King skin is directly based on the troops of the same name from Clash of Clans.
    • His B-800 skin is a reference to The Terminator.
    • His Mang skin is directly based on the character of the same name from BT21 UNIVERSE.
  • Space Marine: Becomes one in his Space Ox skin.
  • Tattooed Crook: Sports a tattoo on his left arm, and is a brutish gang leader.
  • Third-Person Person: He sometimes utter his own name in some of his dialogues.
  • Three-Point Landing: Does this in the win animation of his B-800 skin.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: Ones a friendly diner owner, now a hostile brute today.
  • Tranquilizer Dart: He's hit with one of these in the defeat animation of his Lion skin, knocking him out.
  • Turned Against Their Masters: His robotic arm smacks him with his own shotgun after malfunctioning in the defeat animation of his B-800 skin.

    Buster

Release Date: 07/11/2022
Voiced by: Paul Moran
Alternate Skins: Chainsaw Buster, Crocodile Buster, True Silver/Gold Buster

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/buster_bs_full_body.png
"Welcome to the screening."
Buster took a film projector from the movie theater where he works so he can play around with it like a prop. It's dangerous and highly unprofessional!

A Mythic Brawler, and part of the Cinema trio along with Fang and Maisie. Buster is the projector guy at Starr Park Cinema who aspires to become an action movie hero along with his best buddy Fang.

Buster is a Brawler designed for strategic teamplay and with a great arsenal of supportive tools apart from tanking hits for his allies, being capable of constantly protect his team from harm and overall functioning better the closer he is to them.

  • Buster's special Trait is a small, visible circular radius around him that lets Buster charge 5% of his Super per second for each ally inside the circle.
  • His Attack, Lens Flare, has Buster shoot a wide, cone-shaped wave of light from his camera. This attack can pierce multiple targets and deals more damage the closer Buster is to his objective.
  • His Super, Montage, projects a medium-sized barrier in the direction Buster is currently facing for 3 seconds. This barrier has the ability to deflect all projectiles aimed at it (including piercing shots and melee attacks except for Mortis' dash, but not lobbed shots) and send them back to the direction they came from, damaging any enemies caught in their path. Buster is considerably slower and cannot change the direction he's currently facing during the barrier's duration, but can prematurely end it by using a basic attack.
  • His first Gadget, Utility Belt, heals Buster and allies inside the radius of his Trait 9% of Buster's maximum health for each one inside of it, for a maximum of 27% of his maximum health.
  • His second Gadget, Slow-Mo Replay, allows Buster's next attack to pull enemies towards him.
  • His first Star Power, Blockbuster, adds 15% more damage to Buster's main attack for each ally inside the radius of his Trait, capping at 30%.
  • His second Star Power, Kevlar Vest, makes Buster take 10% less damage and become immune to stuns and knockbacks while his Super is active.

  • Achilles' Heel: While a Buster with his Super charged can have a fair match against almost every Brawler in the game and allow him and his team to push forward, Throwers/Artillery aren't some of them, as their lobbed shots let them bypass Buster's shield and bombard him with impunity regardless, potentially killing him before he and his team can take advantage of his shield. It should also be noted that Buster is noticeably slower while his Super is active, giving Throwers an even bigger edge in a match against him.
  • Attack Animal: Subverted. It may appear he's using a crocodile to attack in his Crocodile skin, but it's actually a toy/robot that shoots rope traps.
  • Attack Reflector: His Super projects a barrier in front of him which can deflect all attacks aimed at it. The only exception are lobbed shots that can go over the shield and Mortis' dash.
  • Awesome Aussie: His Crocodile skin turns him into a "Crocodile" Dundee-inspired crocodile hunter.
  • Big Beautiful Man: He's noticeably more pudgy than a lot other human Brawlers (with a Barbie (2023)-inspired poster even depicting him with a big gut), but still pretty handsome-looking.
  • Chainsaw Good: His camera gets replaced with one of these in his Chainsaw skin.
  • Cool Shades: Sports a pair.
  • Devious Daggers: Reflected projectiles by his Super will be returned in the form of hunting knifes in his Crocodile skin.
  • Dub Name Change: He's called Cam in the Indonesian translation.
  • Fat Best Friend: To Fang and (probably) Maisie.
  • Gentle Giant: Although he is not the smartest or most careful guy, he is selfless and kind, ensuring protection for his companions. His first interaction with Gus has him risking his own life to protect the boy, unaware that he is in fact already a ghost.
  • Heal Thyself: His Utility Belt Gadget will instantly heal him for 9% of his maximum health. If there are any allies inside his Trait radius, they will also receive said healing and either double or triple it depending on how many allies are healed.
  • Heroic Wannabe: He's a Gentle Giant who, apart from having dreams of becoming an action movie star, is also brave enough to put himself at risk for others... with very mixed results.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: He's been described as having a bromance with his best friend Fang.
  • Improbable Weapon User: He uses a camera/projector to attack by shooting waves of light out of it.
  • Immune to Flinching: His Kevlar Vest Star Power will make Buster immune to stuns, pulls, and knockbacks while his Super is active, in addition to reducing damage by 10%.
  • Light 'em Up: His main attack has him shoot a wave of light out of his camera
  • Never Smile at a Crocodile: His Crocodile skin has his projector transform into a rather vicious robotic crocodile.
  • Punny Name: Buster works as the projector guy in a cinema showing blockbuster movies.
  • Shout-Out:
  • Situational Damage Attack:
    • His main attack deals more damage the closer he's to the enemy.
    • If he has the Blockbuster Star Power, Buster will deal 15% extra damage for each ally inside the radius of his Trait, dealing up to 30% extra damage if both teammates are near him.
  • Stone Wall: While Buster has a very fast unload speed, his attacks deal fairly low damage and reload quite slowly, so he's not very good at dispatching enemies. However, his great HP and kit centered around protecting his teammates can make him and his team tough nuts to crack.
  • Support Party Member: Between his astounding HP designed to tank hits for his team, a Super that can negate incoming damage for him and allies, and a Gadget that can heal by a very large amount if his team is nearby, Buster is as much of a tank as he's a Brawler designed for supporting his team as much as possible while they take care of objectives and dispatch enemies.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: As shown in Maisie's introduction video, he and Fang are prone to pranking each other while working, but are still very good friends.
  • You Will Not Evade Me: His Slow-Mo Replay Gadget will pull any enemies caught in his next attack towards him. Coupled with the fact Buster deals more damage the closer he's to the enemy, this can allow him to confirm kills pretty easily.

    Darryl

Release Date: 07/12/2017
Voiced by: Martin Schjøler
Alternate Skins: Dumpling Darryl, Mascot Darryl, D4R-RY1, Mega Box/Omega Box Darryl, Crash Test Darryl, Cupcake Darryl, True Silver/Gold Darryl

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/darryl_bs_full_body.png
"Double barrel Darryl for the win!"
Darryl put on the pirate captain's hat in a bid to avoid work, but now he's forced to defend his ship! Who knew being in charge took actual effort?

A Super Rare Brawler, and part of the Pirate trio along with Penny and Tick. He's a robotic pirate that dwells inside a wooden barrel in a fashion similar to a hermit crab.

Darryl is a hybrid Brawler who combines the beefiness of a Tank with the passive, ambush-oriented playstyle of an Assassin, being oriented towards taking out key targets when the situation calls for it without fear of being taken out due to his great health pool.

  • Darryl's special Trait allows him to passively charge his Super without the need to deal damage. With 3.33% charged per second, it takes Darryl 30 seconds to fully charge a Super without other external factors.
  • His Attack, Double Deuce, has Darryl shoot 2 waves of 10 shells out of his shotguns in quick succession, potentially inflicting the highest amount of damage out of any Brawler at point blank range.
  • His Super, Barrel Roll, allows him to roll towards a desired direction, gaining a 50% damage reduction shield along the way. Darryl can bounce off walls and traverse over water during his Super's duration, as well as damage and knock back enemies hit by his rolling form without stopping it.
  • His first Gadget, Recoiling Rotator, makes Darryl spin in a circle while spraying 15 shotgun shells around himself. Each shell deals 125% the damage his main attack's shells deal and charges 25% of his Super if it hits an enemy.
  • His second Gadget, Tar Barrel, creates a slowing area around Darryl for 5 seconds, preventing enemies from escaping without the necessary tools.
  • His first Star Power, Steel Hoops, gives Darryl a 2-second shield that reduces damage by 25% whenever he exits his Super.
  • His second Star Power, Rolling Reload, doubles Darryl's reload speed for 5 seconds after he uses his Super.

  • Anthropomorphic Food: His Cupcake skin turns Darryl into the eponymous dessert.
  • Be the Ball: His Mascot skin turns him into a soccer ball.
  • Becoming the Mask: According to his official description, he initially just put on a pirate hat to avoid working in Starr Park, but it eventually led to him becoming a real pirate forced to defend his ship.
  • The Captain: Of the Pirate trio.
  • Chest Monster: His Mega Box and Omega Box skins turn Darryl into a Brawl Box, the (now defunct) Loot Boxes of the game.
  • Confetti Drop: Shoots confetti in his Mascot skin.
  • Cool Ship: Owns a pirate ship named after him, serving as the environment of his pirate crew/trio.
  • Cooldown Manipulation: His Rolling Reload will double Darryl's reload speed for 5 seconds after he exits his Super.
  • Cyber Cyclops: Is a robot with only one eye.
  • Damage Reduction: Two instances: his Super will always give Darryl a 50% damage reduction shield while it is active, while his Steel Hoops Star Power will grant him an additional 25% shield for two seconds after exiting his Super.
  • Double Entendre: One of his possible voicelines is "Show me the booty!" It's almost certainly not accidental.
  • Dual Wielding: He dual-wields shotguns as his weapons.
  • Dub Name Change: In the Italian translation, he's called Barryl.
  • Edible Ammunition: His Dumpling skin shoots dumplings, while his Cupcake skin shoots globs of cake frosting.
  • Firing in the Air a Lot: He fires into the air in the winning animation of his Cupcake skin, resulting in frosting and a cherry falling atop of his head.
  • Free Wheel: His Crash Test skin turns Darryl into a crash dummy wrapped in car tires. When he uses his Super, he rolls towards his objective as a single wheel. Its defeat animation has also Darryl rolling around like a single wheel for a more conventional example.
  • Friendly Pirate: He's quite amicable for being a robotic pirate.
  • Gratuitous Rap: One of his voice lines while in the lead has him rapping "Yo! Double B.D. in the sea, that's me!"
  • Improvised Armour:
    • The barrel he's covered with isn't actually part of his body, but a protection he has chosen to avoid harm.
    • The shield he acquires whenever using his Super in his Cupcake skin takes the appearance of a cupcake cup.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Very tanky, above average speed, and an absurd damage output when unleashing his attacks at point-blank.
  • Multi-Directional Barrage: His Recoiling Rotator Gadget sprays a barrage of shotgun shells around him, dealing average damage and charging his Super by a quarter for each shell that manages to hit an enemy.
  • No Range Like Point-Blank Range: At point-blank, Darryl can inflict the fourth highest amount of damage out of any basic attack in the game, with only Nani managing to connect all of her three shoots standing equal to it and Griff's twelve-coin shot, Chester's four-bell shot, and Angelo's fully charged poisoned arrow (which require a Gadget, a Star Power, and a Super to work, respectively) out-damaging it.
  • Punny Name: Darryl rhymes with barrel.
  • Rolling Attack: His Super lets him roll to a target location, dealing (rather low) damage and knocking enemies back. He can also bounce off walls this way, allowing him to roll towards a target even if they're hiding behind cover.
  • Short-Range Shotgun: The damage output of his shotguns is balanced by their short range.
  • Shotguns Are Just Better: He dual-wields double barreled shotguns, and his attack can potentially inflict the most amount of damage out of any basic attack in the game outside of Star Powers, Gadgets, and other modifiers, as connecting all 10 shells onto a single target is bound to deal 4800 points of damage, being enough to disintegrate every Glass Cannon and Fragile Speedster in the game and two/three-tap anything beyond that.
  • Spectacular Spinning: His Recoiling Rotator Gadget makes him spin while unleashing shotgun shells around him, with each one charging 25% of his Super.
  • Talk Like a Pirate: The robotic filter his voice has makes it hard to detect a pirate accent, but he makes up for it by almost all of his lines referring to booty, using sea creatures as minced oaths, or telling people to walk the plank.
  • Throw a Barrel at It: He can technically do this with his Super, as it allows Darryl to throw himself at a desired direction, hitting enemies with his barrel and knocking them back.
  • Tin-Can Robot: His D4R-RY1 skin turns him into a bulky, space robot that wouldn't look out of place in a piece of Star Wars media.
  • You Will Not Evade Me: His Tar Barrel Gadget creates a slowing area around Darryl for a few seconds, allowing him to hutn down opponents without them being able to escape by foot alone.

    Draco

Release Date: TBA
Alternate Skins: Dark Knight Draco, True Silver/Gold Draco

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/wiki_completa_draco_brawler_brawl_stars.png
"Winging it, dragon style!"
Riding his inflatable dragon and setting off fireworks, Draco promises a show-stopping finale every night. With his electric guitar blaring and his flame-spewing ride rocking the crowd he turns the fantasy up to eleven!

A Legendary Brawler, and current known member of the Mad-Evil Manor trio. He's a hammy master storyteller who rides around in an inflatable dragon and gives metal concerts in Starr Park.

  • Draco's special Trait allows him charge his Super from receiving damage by other Brawlers, needing to receive 2.4x of his max health in damage to fully charge a Super.
  • His Attack, Lance Stab, has Draco stabbing in front of him with his lance-like electric guitar, releasing an electrical bolt over a short distance that can pierce through multiple targets. If Draco manages to hit an enemy with the very tip of the electrical bolt, the damage dealt will be doubled.
  • His Super, Dragon Solo, mounts Draco in his inflatable dragon after a very short delay. In this form, Draco moves 20% faster than on foot, takes 25% less damage, and attacks by breathing a wave of 4 non-piercing flames in a fan-shaped formation, thus dealing more damage to enemies in front of him. Draco only posses a single ammo bar in this form and, much like Amber's main attack, holding the attack button will release a continuous barrage of flames until his ammo bar depletes, which will only recharge while he's not attacking. This alternate form lasts 10 seconds, and Draco can extend it by charging another Super while mounting his dragon.
  • His first Gadget, Upper Cut, makes Draco's basic next attack toss enemies up into the air for 1 second. While in the air, enemies won't be able to move, attack, or receive damage.
  • His second Gadget, Last Stand, prevents Draco's health from falling below 1 for 2 seconds.
  • His first Star Power, Expose, gives Draco a bar that charges every 5 seconds and, when full, will make his next attack mark enemies. Marked enemies will receive 35% extra damage until the mark disappears after 5 seconds.
  • His second Star Power, Shredding, heals Draco for 25% of his maximum health whenever he uses his Super. Draco will heal even if he uses his Super while he's already mounting his dragon.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/el_primo_bs_full_body.png
"EEEEEELL PRIMOOOO!"
El Primo is always in the spotlight and that's right where he wants to be! There's no audience he can't win over, except maybe his fellow performers...

A Rare Brawler, and part of the Mexican Entertainers trio along with Poco and Amber. He's a boisterous, beefy luchador specialized in aggressive gameplay involving tanking hits with his massive health pool and returning the favor with powerful attacks on his own, possessing one of the shortest ranges in the game to make up for it.

  • El Primo's special Trait allows him charge his Super from receiving damage by other Brawlers, needing to receive 2.4x of his max health in damage to fully charge a Super.
  • His Attack, Fists of Fury, throws a short-range flurry of 4 punches that can pierce through targets, reload very fast, and unload rapidly, allowing him to rack up damage quickly.
  • His Super, Flying Elbow Drop, has him performing a powerful elbow drop that can launch him towards a desired location, destroying cover and knocking back enemies upon landing.
  • His first Gadget, Suplex Supplement, makes El Primo grab the nearest enemy and flip them a few tiles over his head, potentially tossing them over obstacles and onto hazards.
  • His second Gadget, Asteroid Belt, has him summoning a meteor that targets the nearest enemy, breaking walls and, should it hit said enemy, dealing 400% the damage each of his main attack's punches inflict while knocking them back. The meteor has a 3-second delay before impacting the ground, allowing enemies to run away from it.
  • His first Star Power, El Fuego, causes his Super to set enemies on fire should they be hit by it, roughly dealing 93% the damage of his Super over the course of 4 seconds.
  • His second Star Power, Meteor Rush, gives him a 25% speed boost for 4 seconds after using his Super.
  • His Hypercharge, Gravity Leap, slightly increases the radius of his Super's impact zone and the time enemies spend in the air after being hit. In addition, enemies impacted by El Primo's Super will be pulled towards him instead of being knocked back. He also gains 5% more damage, 25% more speed, and a 25% damage reduction shield.

  • Animal Disguise: Goes dresses as dragons in El Dragón Verdoso and El Dragón Rosado skins, a tiger in his El Tigro, and a shark in his El Baby Shark skin.
  • Atomic Superpower: El Atómico skin has El Primo having a Sickly Green Glow following him an his belt acquiring a radioactivity symbol.
  • Badass Cape: Sports one in both El Corazon and El Rey Primo skins.
  • Battle Butler: El Mayordomo skin turns him into a cybernetic butler who does most of the fighting for The Mafia he works for.
  • Boisterous Bruiser: Very strong, very loud, and obviously enjoying himself.
  • Calling Your Attacks: He appears to say the name of his punches while he's attacking.
    "Fist of Fury!"
    "Primo Punch!"
  • Close-Range Combatant: El Primo is a notable example due to the fact his basic attack has the shortest range out of any Brawler in the game, reaching only one tile in front of him. To make up for this, he has enough speed to catch up with most Brawlers, and his attacks recharge rather quickly.
  • Cyborg: Becomes a half-human, half-robot hybrid in El Mayordomo skin.
  • Dub Name Change: He's called El Costo in French.
  • Elemental Punch: His punches come out covered in fire in El Dragón Verdoso/Rosado skins.
  • Evil Costume Switch:
    • El Rudo Primo skin is what he would wear if he were a Heel. In it, he's wearing purple, and has black eyes, fangs, and bat-like Head Wings.
    • El Mayordomo skin turns him into a butler for a criminal organization.
  • Football Hooligans: The Latin America Master League skins turn him into a huge football fan, sporting the uniforms of Universitario, Club Nacional, and Corinthians
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: His description implies this is the case for him with the rest of his trio.
  • Friendly Rivalry: After having his powers activated off-screen, he seems to have this with Crow, where they are seen battling for no reason but are friendly enough to take photos in between the fight. The scene ends with him laughing alongside a grumpy crow as they watch the aftermath of their fight.
  • Grapple Move: His Suplex Supplement Gadget allows him to grab a Brawler and flip them behind him. It doesn't deal damage, but can land his enemies in tricky situations (e.g. the poison clouds in Showdown/Knockout).
  • Gratuitous Spanish: Many of his lines are in Spanish, moreso than Shelly. This is not surprising, given that he's also a Masked Luchador.
  • In a Single Bound: His Super has him jumping high into the air towards a desired direction, breaking terrain and knocking back enemies in the landing zone.
  • Incoming Ham: Yells ELLLL PRIMOOOOOOO! when using his Super.
  • Jet Pack: El Mayordomo skin has these of the Rocket Boots variety, which is how he performs his Super.
  • Lightning Bruiser: El Primo is fast, has the second highest health out of any Brawler in the game (only behind Frank), and his attacks, despite having very short range, can rack up a lot of damage quickly.
  • Lovable Jock: El Quarterback skin turns him into an American football player while retaining his cheerful and heroic personality.
  • Man on Fire: His Super can set enemies on fire if El Primo has the El Fuego Star Power. Notably, El Primo will also be on fire when executing his Super if he has said Star Power.
  • Masked Luchador: His main inspiration. He even follows the tradition of never being seen without his mask. All of his skins are masked, and the one time he takes his mask off, his face is blurred out.
  • Meteor-Summoning Attack: His Asteroid Belt Gadget summons a meteor that targets the nearest enemy/objective, dealing damage if they don't manage to get out of its range by the time it impacts.
  • Mid-Battle Tea Break: In one of the security tapes, as he fights Crow aboard the Rumble Jungle rollercoaster, El Primo takes the opportunity to pose for a photo as the car enters one of the ride's tunnels. Afterwards, they keep fighting as normal.
  • Nitro Boost: His Meteor Rush Star Power will give him a hefty speed boost for 4 seconds whenever using his Super.
  • Playing with Fire: With the El Fuego Star Power, he is able to set his opponents on fire with his Super.
  • Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs: His main attack is a flurry of 4 punches that recharge pretty quickly. If he uses all of them at once, that's 12 punches thrown at the enemy in rapid succession.
  • Requisite Royal Regalia: Becomes a king in El Rey Primo skin, sporting a Cool Crown, a Badass Cape, and a Staff of Authority on his hands.
  • Shout-Out:
    • His El Brown skin is directly inspired on the character of the same name from LINE FRIENDS.
    • His El Tigro skin strikes a heavy resemblance to King from Tekken.
    • His El Baby Shark skin transforms him into the infamous Baby Shark.
  • Sickly Green Glow: In El Atómico skin, El Primo emits green light around him.
  • Shark Man: His El Baby Shark skin transforms him into this. And not just any ordinary shark.
  • Takes One to Kill One: Thanks to having the second-highest HP out of any Brawler, an equally high DPS, and both a Super and a Gadget that can momentarily stun and cancel telegraphed enemy attacks (e.g. Ash, Bibi, Frank, Hank), El Primo is often considered to be one of the best Tank counters in the entire game, plummeting his fellow high-HP Brawlers to bits despite being one of them himself.
  • Valentine's Day Episode: El Corazón skin, which is part of the Brawlentine skin set.
  • Victory Pose: The win animation of El Quarterback skin has him running towards the camera and scoring a touchdown before raising his arms in victory.
  • Walking Shirtless Scene: Since he's a wrestler, he always shirtless in his default appearance. His alternate skins tend to avert this trope by giving him multiple disguises that cover his torso.
  • You Will Not Evade Me: Instead of knocking back enemies like it usually does, El Primo's Hypercharged Super will instead attract them towards him if they are in the impact area, making foes much easier to finish off and removing El Primo's main weakness when using his Super.

    Frank

Release Date: 21/05/2018
Voiced by: Martin Schjøler
Alternate Skins: Caveman Frank, DJ Frank, Holiday Party Frank, Spirit Knight Frank, Vanara Frank, Blue King/Red King Frank, True Silver/Gold Frank

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/frank_bs_full_body.png
Frank is a good-natured giant who helps out at the mortuary by day and spins tunes at the Club by night. He doesn't get a lot of sleep, and it shows.

An Epic Brawler, and a part of the Mortuary trio along with Mortis and Emz. He's a massive powerhouse of an undead who uses a hammer (which is actually tombstone attached to a steel pipe) as his weapon. He also enjoys music and being a DJ.

Frank stands out as being the true definition of a Tank Brawler, possessing the highest amount of health points in the entire game and often requiring the firepower of an entire team to be brought down. However, his large size and mechanics also tend to make him an easy target.

  • Frank's special Trait allows him charge his Super from receiving damage by other Brawlers, needing to receive 2.4x of his max health in damage to fully charge a Super.
  • His Attack, Hammer Hit, has Frank stop for 1.3 seconds before hitting the ground with his hammer, sending a powerful piercing shockwave in front of him. This attack can be cancelled if Frank is stunned, pulled, or knocked back.
  • His Super, Stunning Blow, is an even bigger shockwave capable of stunning enemies for 2 seconds and destroy obstacles. However, this Super has an even bigger delay than Frank's standard attack, deals the same amount of damage, and can likewise be cancelled by stuns, pulls, and knock backs.
  • His first Gadget, Active Noise Cancelling, makes him immune to knockback, stuns, and slowdown effects for 1.5 seconds. Frank can use this Gadget while attacking or using his Super.
  • His second Gadget, Irresistible Attraction, doubles the power of Frank's next basic attack while also pulling all enemies caught in the shockwave towards him.
  • His first Star Power, Power Grab, boosts his attack power by 50% for 12 seconds upon defeating an enemy. Defeating multiple enemies doesn't make the effect stack, but can reset the effect's cooldown.
  • His second Star Power, Sponge, grants him 10% more health for the entire match.

  • Achilles' Heel: Brawlers with stunning, pulling, or knockback moves are the absolute bane of Frank, as both his main attack and Super are completely negated if he's inflicted with any of these effects while unloading his moves. His Active Noise Cancelling Gadget can somewhat help, but it only has 3 uses per match, meaning it won't always be available to get him out of trouble, specially in lengthy control-based game modes such as Gem Grab or Hot Zone.
  • All Cavemen Were Neanderthals: His Caveman skin dresses him in animal skins, gives him a crude bone club, and keeps his unintelligible Dumb Muscle characterization.
  • Animated Armor: Becomes one in his Spirit Knight skin, which turns him into a haunted medieval armor.
  • Bad with the Bone: His Caveman skin uses a massive bone in place of his hammer to attack.
  • Bling of War: His Vanara skin has him carrying a lot of shiny golden accessories.
  • Boring, but Practical: His Sponge Star Power grants Frank 10% extra health. Not the flashiest ability in the game for sure, but blessing the tankiest Brawler in the game with even more survivability is something that won't go unappreciated.
  • Carry a Big Stick: Carries around and attacks with a gada in is Vanara skin, which was Hanuman's weapon in Ramayana.
  • Dishing Out Dirt: His Vanara skin unleashes mini-mountains each time he attacks or uses his Super, a reference to Hanuman's ability to lift off mountains.
  • Dumb Muscle: He's very strong , but too stupid to even speak.
  • Flaming Sword: His Spirit Knight skin uses one of these in place of his hammer.
  • Frankenstein's Monster: He's a very conventional pop-culture version: slow, lumbering, dumb, and with a flat head.
  • Genius Ditz: Despite being a Dumb Muscle who's incapable of even talking, he's apparently a very good DJ, as everyone seems to enjoy and dance to his Halloween party music in the "Mortis' Mortuary!" animation.
  • Gentle Giant: Frank is a big and strong Frankenstein's Monster, but when out of combat he is a very cool and friendly guy (as long as you're not Mortis, that's it). Even his description call him a good-natured giant.
  • The Good King: Both of his King skins turn him into the King from Clash Royale, who's been shown to be a pretty nice and amicable character.
  • Heart Container: His Sponge Star Power is a less conventional example of this trope, granting him 10% extra health without any drawbacks.
  • Improbable Weapon User: Apart from the fact his "hammer" is actually a tombstone attached to a steel pipe, his DJ skin uses a speaker, while his Holiday Party skin attacks with a Christmas tree instead.
  • Improvised Weapon: He hammers his opponents with a tombstone attached to a steel pipe.
  • Immune to Flinching: His Active Noise Cancelling Gadget makes Frank immune to stuns, pulls, and knockbacks for 1.5 seconds, completely negating his Achilles' Heel albeit momentarily.
  • The Insomniac: He doesn't get a lot of sleep according to his description, mainly because he works day and night at the mortuary and club, respectively.
  • Lampshade Wearing: Sports one in his Holiday Party skin.
  • Losing Your Head: Loses his skull head in the defeat animation of his Spirit Knight skin
  • Meaningful Name: His name is Frank, and he's a Frankenstein's Monster.
  • Mighty Glacier: Frank's attacks are very powerful, and he has the most health points out of any Brawler in the game. However, while Frank actually has a Fast movement speed, the delays between his attacks and the fact he must stop while unloading them makes him overall pretty slow in the long run.
  • Musical Assassin: His DJ skin replaces his normal shockwaves with electronic music effects.
  • The Paralyzer: His Super will stun anyone caught in it for 2 seconds, allowing Frank to easily continue dropping the hammer onto them.
  • Shockwave Stomp: Both his main attack and Super are shockwaves created by hitting the ground with his hammer.
  • Shout-Out:
    • His Vanara skin is based on the character Hanuman from Ramayana.
    • His Blue/Red King skins are a direct reference to the king characters from Clash Royale.
  • Skull for a Head: His head becomes a detachable horned skull in his Spirit Knight skin.
  • The Unintelligible: His dialogue is composed entirely of groans and moans.
  • Victor Gains Loser's Powers: If he has the Power Grab Star Power, Frank gains a 50% damage boost for 12 seconds after defeating an enemy.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: He and Mortis are always fighting (mainly because of Mortis' selfishness and idiocy), but they still live and hang out together as shown in the "Mortis' Mortuary!" animation.
  • You Will Not Evade Me: His Irresistible Attraction Gadget pulls any enemies caught in Frank's shockwave towards him.

    Hank

Release Date: 07/06/2023
Voiced By: Austen Moret
Alternate Skins: Shark Tank Hank, Rodeo Hank, True Silver/Gold Hank

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ezgif_5_c8d7712ab0.png
"I love the smell of seafood in the morning! Smells like victory!"
Hank is a one-shrimp, one-tank army on a mission to liberate sea life from kitchens and markets everywhere. Chefs, consider yourselves on notice!

An Epic Brawler, and part of the currently incomplete Deep Sea trio along with Otis. He is a humanoid shrimp with a hard-boiled veteran soldier attitude who commands a bulky fish-shaped tank to move around the battlefield.

Hank is a special kind of Tank who, thanks to his above average range and ability to deter enemies from advancing down his lane by virtue of his powerful, piercing main attack, is better suited for defensive and tactical gameplay, remaining protected behind cover while sealing off key paths with his Charged Attack. Unlike most other Tanks, however, he suffers against aggressive gameplay, making him particularly weak against Assassins and other Tanks.

  • Hank's special Trait allows him charge his Super from receiving damage by other Brawlers, needing to receive 2.4x of his max health in damage to fully charge a Super.
  • His Attack, Balloon Blast, creates a bubble in front of Hank that, depending on how long it's held by the player, will become bigger and stronger until it reaches its limit after 3 seconds (around double the size of Hank), at which point it can be held for another 3 seconds before it explodes, damaging anything caught in the bubble. The player can prematurely detonate the bubble by letting go of the attack button, which can be done ever through walls. Hank only possesses a single "ammo" bar that depletes the more the attack is held, which will fully recharge when the bubble explodes. Hank must wait 0.7 seconds between each explosion before he can attack again. While charging this bubble, Hank will visible while inside of a bush and won't be able to heal up.
  • His Super, Fish Torpedo, fires a barrage of six torpedoes in a hexagonal pattern around Hank that travel very fast and will only stop after hitting a Brawler, an obstacle, of after 3 seconds. Brawlers can only be hit by a max of three torpedoes at point-blank, but large objectives such as the Heist safe can receive all six projectiles if Hank is right on top of them. Hank will also heal for 50% of his missing health when his Super is activated.
  • His first Gadget, Waterballoons, slows enemies caught in his next main attack for 3 seconds.
  • His second Gadget, Barricade, reduces all incoming damage by 40% for 3 seconds.
  • His first Star Power, It's Gonna Blow, boosts Hank's movement speed by 10% if his main attack is charged by over 80%.
  • His second Star Power, Take Cover!, reduces the damage Hank takes by 20% if he's right next to a wall.

  • Angry Fist-Shake: Does one in his winning animation after popping out of his tank.
  • Animal Mecha: His tank is designed after a pufferfish, with skins that change it into either a shark or a bull.
  • Armor-Piercing Attack: Uniquely for a Brawler who is not Artillery, Hank's main attack can be detonated even through walls, allowing him to comfortably sit behind cover while preventing enemies from advancing lest they want to take massive damage from a fully charged bubble.
  • Damage Reduction: His Barricade Gadget will give Hank a shield that protects him from 40% of incoming damage for 3 seconds, while his Take Cover! Star Power gives him a 20% damage reduction shield as long as he's near a wall.
  • Brutish Bulls: His Rodeo skin transforms his fish tank into a massive, angry-looking rodeo bull, topped off with udders for hands.
  • Charged Attack: His main attack consists of a bubble that becomes bigger and stronger the longer the attack button is held. It takes 3 seconds for this bubble to reach max size and damage, and another 3 seconds for it to explode by itself if the player doesn't let go off the attack button.
  • Compensating for Something: His old description made this implication.
"Compensating much? Hank is rarely seen outside his over-sized tank."
  • Cowboy: His Rodeo skin gives him a cowboy hat and typical cowboy clothes.
  • Cross-Popping Veins: His bull tank gains these whenever it charges its main attack in his Rodeo skin.
  • Edible Ammunition: His Rodeo skin shoots jugs full of milk for his Super.
  • Fish People: He's a diminutive humanoid shrimp with legs and arms.
  • Funny Animal: He's an anthropomorphic military shrimp commanding an oversized, pufferfish-shaped tank.
  • Half-Dressed Cartoon Animal: He's an anthropomorphic shrimp wearing a military helmet and a pair of tiny pants.
  • High-Pressure Emotion: His Rodeo skin replaces the water bubble from his main attack with a smoke/steam bubble. With his tank being designed after an angry-looking bull and the Cross-Popping Veins that show up whenever it starts charging it, it's implied this bubble is coming from the bull's nose.
  • Large Ham: A good chunk of his lines has Hank yelling orders and war tactics with lot of passion. It also helps that he's got a pretty deep voice for such a tiny guy.
  • Mechanically Unusual Fighter: While there are a handful of Brawlers who only posses a single ammo bar, Hank is the only one whose ammo bar also serves as an aim meter, as aiming with him will also charge his attack to become bigger and more powerful until the ammo bar depletes, at which point he can only hold it for a bit before it goes off by itself.
  • Multi-Directional Barrage: His Super is a barrage of six fish-shaped torpedoes Hank shoots all around himself. While each individual torpedo deals rather average damage, getting hit at point-blank (and thus more torpedoes) by this Super will often result in a One-Hit KO against squishy Brawlers.
  • Nitro Boost: His It's Gonna Blow Star Power boosts his speed by 10% while his bubble is charged above 80%, letting him catch up with average and Fast speed Brawlers if necessary.
  • The Paralyzer: His Waterballoons Gadget will slow down enemies caught in his next bubble for 3 seconds.
  • Phony Veteran: Despite acting like some sort of war veteran, his description stating he's declared war on seafood kitchens and markets and the fact he happens to be a shrimp leaves the implication he just likes to act like an Old Soldier.
  • Pungeon Master: A lot of his lines are seafood-related puns.
    "I was prawn ready!"
    "Master of the krilling field!"
    "Something smells fishy."
  • Punny Name: Hank rhymes with tank.
  • Shout-Out: One of his possible lines when spawning is "I'll huff, and I'll puff, and I'll blow your house down!"
  • Sitcom Archnemesis: Due to Otis being an artist who enjoys spraying paint everywhere and Hank an old grumpy soldier who really likes to keep his fish tank clean, it's inevitable they would end up clashing as shown in Hank's introduction video.
  • Stone Wall: Hank has a lot of health points as any other Tank. However, while the damage from a fully charged bubble can be devastating (being the sixth strongest non-Super attack in the game after Angelo's fully charged poisoned arrow, Chester's four-bell shot, Griff's full-coin wave, Nani's three-orb shot, and Darryl's point-blank shotgun blasts), his inability to spam it due to being a Charged Attack will often make his damage dealt over the course of the match rather low. That being said, the fact the mere presence of a fully charged bubble can make enemies think twice before trying to advance towards Hank can potentially make him a good defender against particularly squishy enemies.
  • Threatening Shark: His Shark Tank skin turns his fish tank into a threatening-looking shark and also dons a sinister purple color palette in exchange for his yellow/orange one.
  • Visual Pun: Hank drives around in a tank shaped like a fish. In short, he drives a fish tank.

    Jacky

Release Date: 17/03/2020
Voiced by: Sandra Espinoza
Alternate Skins: Constructor Jacky, Ultra Driller Jacky, Jet Ski Jacky, Gift Express Jacky, Jacky Cooky, True Silver/Gold Jacky

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jacky_bs_full_body.png
"Let's go kick some *drill noises*!"
Jacky is a miner who can't resist mouthing off about her wild work experience using very colorful language! Luckily, the bad words are drowned out by the noise of her jackhammer.

A Super Rare Brawler, and part of the Gem Miners trio along with Dynamike and Carl. She's a foul-mouthed, hot-tempered miner who jumps around in her jackhammer-drill thingy like a pogo stick.

Jacky is a Brawler specialized in dealing damage to tight groups of enemies and spawnables near her without fear of her attacks going off course or being tanked, having the ability to counter them even if hiding behind walls with her piercing attacks.

  • Jacky's special Trait allows her charge her Super from receiving damage by other Brawlers, needing to receive 2.4x of her max health in damage to fully charge a Super.
  • Her Attack, Groundbreaker, has Jacky slam down on her jackhammer, creating a damaging shockwave around her that instantly damages enemies caught in it without any travel time.
  • Her Super, Holey Moley!, is an even bigger shockwave that, instead of dealing damage, stuns and draws enemies in a big radius close to her, enabling Jacky to finish off the temporarily-immobilized foes. This move can target enemies even if they're invisible or hiding inside bushes.
  • Her first Gadget, Pneumatic Booster, gives her a 25% increase in speed for 4 seconds.
  • Her second Gadget, Rebuild, allows Jacky to rebuild pieces of the environment that have been destroyed by other Brawlers (walls, bushes, fences, etc) around her.
  • Her first Star Power, Counter Crush, releases a counter-attack around her every time she receives damage. This counter-attack deals 30% of the damage Jacky receives.
  • Her second Star Power, Hardy Hard Hat, permanently reduces all damage she receives by 20%.
  • Her Hypercharge, Seismic Event, slows down enemies caught in Jacky's Super for 1.5 seconds. She also gains 5% more damage, 25% more speed, and a 25% damage reduction shield.

  • Area of Effect: Her attack cannot be aimed, instead affecting everything in a small radius around her. The same goes for her Super, but with a much larger radius.
  • Armor-Piercing Attack: She's one of the few Brawlers who is not Artillery whose main attack can go through walls, as her Ground Wave can damage enemies taking cover right besides them.
  • Boring, but Practical: All her Hardy Hard Hat Star Power does is reducing all damage dealt to Jacky by 20%. However, much like Frank's Sponge, granting a Brawler designed to eat up hits even more survivability is always a good idea, no matter how unexciting it might be.
  • The Bully: She seems to enjoy making fun of people just for the sake of it. One of the security tapes shows her jumping onto one of the terrified guests begging for help after everything in the park turns upside down, then mocking and laughing at him when he runs away from her in fear.
  • Christmas Episode: Her Gift Express skin gives Jacky a Christmas theme, turning her jackhammer into a candy cane, giving her winter and Christmas-themed clothes, and having snow and Christmas lights appear whenever she uses her main attack and Super.
  • Close-Range Combatant: Jacky's attacks are limited to a small radius around her. Even her Super is exclusively designed to pull enemies towards her damage zone.
  • Cluster F-Bomb: One of her possible defeat lines has Jacky dropping one of these. Censored with a Sound-Effect Bleep, of course.
"*drill* and *drill*, and *drill*, and also *drill*!"
  • Cool Boat: Her Jet Ski skin replaces her jackhammer with a dinosaur-themed jet ski.
  • Counter-Attack: Her Counter Crush Star Power generates a shockwave in the same radius of Jacky's main attack that returns 30% of the damage dealt to her.
  • Damage Reduction: Her Hardy Hard Hat Star Power will permanently reduce 20% of the damage Jacky receives over the course of the match. Notably, unlike Frank's Sponge Star Power, this doesn't increase Jacky's maximum HP, making it more effective against Percent Damage Attacks such as Colette's.
  • Evil Costume Switch: Her Ultra Driller skin turns her into a Kaiju supervillain who attacks Super City alongside other monsters.
  • Girlish Pigtails: Subverted. She does have some pretty cute pigtails, but she is certainly not girly at all.
  • Ground Wave: Her main attack has Jacky slam the ground with her jackhammer so hard it creates one of these.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: Jacky lacks the Hidden Heart of Gold found in other abrasive Brawlers and is general a bad-tempered Jerkass.
  • Lady Swearsalot: Most of her lines are absolutely packed with curses, fortunately censored with drill noises.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Jacky is fast, tanky, and deals a lot of consistent damage around her.
  • The Lad-ette: A PG-rated version. She doesn't act anything remotely feminine at all, swears enough to make a sailor blush, and oftentimes acts more like an ill-tempered miner who just lost her batch of ores.
  • Nitro Boost: Her Pneumatic Booster boosts her speed by 25% for 4 seconds, letting her pursue low-health targets before they can heal.
  • The Paralyzer: Her Hypercharge allows her Super to slow down enemies for 1.5 seconds, letting Jacky pummel them to bits before they can get out of her range.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: She's about the same height as some of the child Brawlers, but is as tough and damaging as any other Tank, and either attribute is able to be boosted via her Star Powers.
  • Punny Name: Jacky moves around in a jackhammer.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: She drills a hole into the ground then disappears through it in her defeat animation.
  • Shout-Out: Her Cooky skin is directly based on the character of the same name from BT21 UNIVERSE.
  • Sound-Effect Bleep: Most of Jacky's lines are "censored" by jackhammer noises. Her voice actress isn't saying anything actually obscene, but the timing of the drill noises makes people fill the gaps with their imagination. For example, "I'll stick a cookie in your face!" becomes "I'll stick a *drill* in your *drill*!".note
  • Spectacular Spinning: A lot of her animations involve spinning, such as her spinning her jackhammer in place in her standard winning animation of Jacky herself spinning on her head in the victory pose of her Ultra Driller skin.
  • This Is a Drill: She uses a jackhammer as a weapon.
  • Token Evil Teammate: Downplayed for the tanks and for the Brawlers who were activated by the gems. While is hard to call Jacky evil, the kindest way to classify her is a total Jerkass who likes to intimidate other people, and who, unlike the other Brawlers, actively tried to hurt the Starr Park's visitors for no reason other than being a jerk, while even Bull who was Brainwashed and Crazy, only attacked other people after he was robbed.
  • You Will Not Evade Me: Her Super is a massive shockwave that draws Brawlers around her, although it doesn't deal any damage.
    "Hey chucklehead, come over here!"

"Last time I fired my gun, I was at the academy!"
Content to work behind the scenes with her rusty mecha suit, Meg takes care of real problems, while Max and Surge are out entertaining the crowds.

A Legendary Brawler, and part of the Superhero trio along with Max and Surge. Meg is a vending machine technician and wannabe hero aiming to join the superhero team in Super City, though sadly her efforts aren't always validated by its leader.

Meg's main gimmick is having the capacity to be either one of the weakest or strongest Brawlers in the game depending on whether she manages to keep her Super or charge another one if lost, possessing both a pitiful form incapable of dealing major damage and a superpowered mode which can wreck havoc on the enemy's side in seconds.

  • Her Attack in her Basic Form, Target Acquired, shoots two fast-moving but weak projectiles in a quick succession. These projectiles aren't designed to deal strong damage, but rather charge her Super.
  • Her Super in her Basic Form, Mecha Machina, summons Rob, Meg's Mecha, after a 1-second delay, which she pilots until it gets destroyed. In this form, Meg is slower than on foot and has a bigger hitbox, but greatly makes up for it with the increased damage and defense the robot provides. Meg will always start the match/round in her Mecha form, and if destroyed, forces Meg into her Basic Form to start charging it again. If Meg is stunned, knocked back, or defeated during the 1-second delay needed to summon Rob, the Super will be cancelled and lost.
  • Her Attack in her Mecha Form, Crowd Control, fires 8 hard-hitting bolts in two parallel streams, being wide enough to be fired between 1-tile-wide obstacles.
  • Her Super in her Mecha Form, Feel the Steel, makes the Mecha swing its arm in a wide angle in front of it, dealing massive damage to enemies hit by it. This attack can pierce through targets.
  • Her first Gadget, Jolting Volts, heals Meg's Mecha 7% of its maximum health per second for 5 seconds, for a total of 35% maximum health restored.
  • Her second Gadget, Toolbox, has Meg drop a toolbox that increases the reload speed of allies around it by 35% until it gets destroyed. The toolbox has 1500 health and decays 75 health per second, lasting up to 20 seconds if it doesn't take any damage.
  • Her first Star Power, Force Field, gives Meg a shield that reduces damage by 25% for 10 seconds if her Mecha is destroyed.
  • Her second Star Power, Heavy Metal, makes her Mecha explode if destroyed, damaging enemies around it for 400% of the damage her Basic Form's attack deals and pushing them back.

  • Action Bomb: Her Heavy Metal Star Power makes her Mecha explodes on destruction, dealing massive damage around her and pushing enemies back.
  • Animal Motifs: With the exception of her Monster Truck skin, all of Meg's skins are designed or take inspiration from animals, these being beetles, jaguars, and sharks.
  • Arm Cannon: Her Mecha form has these on both arms.
  • Bamboo Technology: Her Mecha is made out of rock in her Jaguar Spirit skin, resembling a jaguar face carved in stone.
  • Big Badass Rig: In her Monster Truck skin, her Mecha is replaced by a monster truck with the same properties as her regular robot.
  • Black and Nerdy: She's a black Teen Genius with a specialty in robotics who managed to built a functioning Mini-Mecha by herself.
  • Body Armor as Hit Points: Meg's Mecha, which basically serves as an armor that grants her an extra life bar, must be taken down first before Meg herself can be targeted.
  • Cool Boat: Her Mecha takes the appearance of a shark-shaped pirate ship in her Megalodon skin.
  • Cooldown Manipulation: Her Toolbox Gadget lets Meg's allies recharge faster if they're withing range of it.
  • Damage Reduction: She gains a 25% damage reduction shield when her Mecha is destroyed if she has the Force Field Star Power. At 10 seconds of duration, it's also the longest lasting shield in the game.
  • Fragile Speedster: Her Basic Form is fast, but weak and has low health.
  • Gadgeteer Genius: Her gun and Mini-Mecha were built by Meg alone.
  • Heal Thyself: Meg can heal her Mecha if she has the Jolting Volts Gadget, allowing it to survive more reliably in the middle of battle without having to wait for its natural regeneration to kick in.
  • Heroic Wannabe: Meg desperately wants to join the superhero team in Super City (which includes Surge and its leader Max), but despite her incredible mechanical skills, Max believes she doesn't possess the maturity/skills necessary to be a superhero yet, hence why she isn't an official member.
  • Hypercompetent Sidekick. Her description implies she's the real problem solver among the Superhero trio, as Max and Surge are more akin to superstars who entertain the crowds.
  • Jack of All Stats: Meg's Mecha has average (relatively low for a Tank) health and speed coupled with a strong attack and Super.
  • Magikarp Power: Meg is much weaker in Basic Form than most other Brawlers, and her play-style in said form basically boils down to "stay alive long enough to charge Super then change into a stronger form to wreck havoc". She can somewhat skip this step if she's defeated (as Meg will always respawn in her Mecha Form), but can be tricky if not outright discouraged to pull off in kill-based modes such as Knockout and Bounty where every last death counts.
  • Mechanical Insects: In her Beetle skin, she's dressed like a beetle and her Mecha has beetle themes. The projectiles from her Ray Gun also look like mini mechanical beetles.
  • Punny Name: Meg uses a mecha. Meg and mecha are also pronounced similarly.
  • Mini-Mecha: Meg's Mecha is only twice as tall as she is.
  • Multiple Life Bars: What her role as a Tank basically boils down to. Meg's Mecha has the lowest health points out of any other Tank in the game, and Meg herself has the second lowest health points out of any Brawler after Tick. However, with both of their health bars are combined, it turns out Meg has, as a whole, the second highest health points out of any Brawler in the game, tying with El Primo and only being outclassed by Frank. The fact Meg can potentially charge another Super/Mecha before being taken out can overall make her a pretty durable Brawler in spite of her apparently low survivability.
  • Mundane Utility: According to her introduction, her robot can also be used to repair vending machines, to anyone's guess how's that possible.
  • Older Than She Looks: Despite looking like a prepubescent child, Word of God has confirmed she's in her early 20s.
  • Pirate Girl: Becomes one in her Megalodon skin, complete with a bandanna in place of her cap.
  • Rain Dance: The victory animation of her Jaguar Spirit skin has Meg doing one of these.
  • Ray Gun: She attacks with this in her Basic Form.
  • Scratch Damage: Meg's attack in her Basic Form deals very low damage, as its only utility is to charge her Super and possibly prevent Brawlers from healing. Even its in-game description mentions how it only pokes at her enemies' patience.
  • Sickly Green Glow: Her Megalodon skin uses a lot of these, as both of her main attacks and even her Mecha's Super are coated in a green, ectoplasm-like substance.
  • Tagalong Kid: More like Tagalong Teen, but still counts. Meg isn't officially part of the Superhero team in Super City, but she still tags along them and is included in their trio. Unlike most examples of this Trope, however, Meg is far from incompetent.
  • Teen Genius: Let's be real, could any regular teenager be able to build a fully functional Mini-Mecha that can be used to battle against Kaiju?
  • Wrench Wench: Meg is a mechanic who uses a Mecha she built in combat. She even has a zipper-pull shaped like a wrench on her shirt.

    Rosa

Release Date: 26/04/2019

Alternate Skins: Brawl-o-ween Rosa, Coco Rosa, Major Rosa, Mantis Rosa, Cheerleader Rosa, True Silver/Gold Rosa

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rosa_bs_full_body.png
"Rosa is my name, botany is my game!"
Rosa is a botanist with a strong connection to plants. She's also a boxer, and won't hesitate to punch one of her specimens if it goes out of control!

A Rare Brawler, and part of the Biology Team trio along with Bea and Sprout. She's a scientist and a combat botanist who uses her thorny plant-like boxing gloves to pummel her enemies.

Rosa's playstyle, apart from eating up hits like any other tank, centers around taking advantage of bushes to keep herself alive and support her team, being capable of sprouting them to create sneaky pathways for her allies to advance unnoticed, reveal enemies hidden inside them, or heal herself.

  • Rosa's special Trait allows her charge her Super from receiving damage by other Brawlers, needing to receive 2.4x of her max health in damage to fully charge a Super.
  • Her Attack, Hands of Stone, throws a flurry of three short-ranged, piercing punches in a wide shotgun-like arc, dealing moderately high damage. This attack has a rather slow unload speed.
  • Her Super, Strong Stuff, gives Rosa a shield that absorbs 70% of all damage she receives for 3 seconds.
  • Her first Gadget, Grow Light, grows a 3x3 patch of bushes around Rosa. These bushes have the same function as the ones regularly found in every map, meaning both Rosa's allies and enemies can hide inside them and benefit from their effects. However, these bushes can still be destroyed and will disappear if a round ends in any round-based game mode.
  • Her second Gadget, Unfriendly Bushes, hits all enemies hiding inside bushes across the entire map for 30% of the damage her individual punches deal while also slowing them down for 3 seconds.
  • Her first Star Power, Plant Life, heals Rosa 3% of her maximum health per second as long as she is standing inside a bush.
  • Her second Star Power, Thorny Gloves, grants Rosa's punches 30% additional damage when her Super is active, giving a total of 90% more damage per attack.
  • Her Hypercharge, Grasping Roots, creates a slowing area around Rosa's Super, making it harder for enemies to escape her range. She also gains 5% more damage, 25% more speed, and a 25% damage reduction shield.

  • I Am Very British: Just like her fellow coworker Bea, Rosa has a notable British accent.
  • Area of Effect: Her Unfriendly Bushes Gadget affects every single enemy standing inside a bush, no matter how far away they are from Rosa. In Solo Showdown, this means she can potentially hit 9 Brawlers at once with a single use of her Gadget.
  • All-Ghouls School: The main theme of her Cheerleader skin.
  • Beach Episode: Her Coco skin gives Rosa a swimsuit, a pair of Cool Shades, and replaces her thorny gloves and flower with coconuts and a palm tree.
  • Black and Nerdy: Rosa is a black woman and a Genius Bruiser in the field of botany.
  • Boxing Battler: She describes herself as a boxing botanist, and it shows.
  • Calacas: The theme of her Brawl-o-ween skin, which gives her face paint resembling a skull and replaces her back flower with an even bigger skull.
  • Caring Gardener: She's the botanist at the Biodome, Starr Park's greenhouse which, apart from a certain incident that turned into into a Garden of Evil, is very well taken care of by Rosa.
  • Cute Monster Girl: Turns into a pink-skinned Horned Humanoid in her Cheerleader skin.
  • Damage Reduction: Her Super grants her a temporary shield that eats up 70% of all the damage she receives. Not counting Nani's Return to Sender Gadget (which can only soak up a single hit anyway), it's the strongest shield in the entire game.
  • Everybody Do the Endless Loop: Her Coco skin's winning animation has her dance on an endless loop.
  • Fantastic Flora: Rosa is always carrying a sentient, friendly plant on her back she merges with during her Super, granting her a massive shield.
  • Fertile Feet: Her Grow Light Gadget grows a 3x3 patch of bushes around Rosa.
  • Flat Joy: Her dismal face and slow cheering movement in the losing animation of her Cheerleader skin brings this to mind.
  • Fusion Dance: During her Super, Rosa merges with the friendly plant she's always carrying on her back, giving the botanist a durable shield for a few seconds.
  • Genius Bruiser: As a "boxing botanist" she has the brawn and the brains.
  • Green Thumb: She's a botanist, and her theme is centered around plants. Even her Super, Gadgets, and Star Powers revolve around plant life in one way or another.
  • Happy Dance: Her Coco skin is notable for doing one of these repeatedly as both its victory and idle animation.
  • Healing Factor: If she has the Plant Life Star Power, Rosa can regenerate 3% maximum health per second while hiding inside a bush.
  • Lightning Bruiser: As most other Tanks, Rosa is a speedy Brawler with plenty of health and firepower to make her attacks hurt.
  • Pom-Pom Girl: Her Cheerleader skin transforms her into an amicable cheerleader who attacks with her pom poms.
  • Pungeon Master: Seems like Bea learned from her, as most of Rosa's voicelines involve plant-related puns.
    "I rose to the occasion!"
    "You grow girl!"
  • Punny Name: Rosa = Rose.
  • Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs: Her attack is a flurry of three punches in front of her, which means unloading all of her three attacks at once is nine punches the enemy has to withstand.
  • Revealing Cover Up: A former but still notable case with her. Rosa's bushes from her Grow Light Gadget always used to be green-colored no matter what map she was playing. And since bushes come with different appearances for each environment (e.g. blue in the Mortuary environment, yellow in the Wild West environment, etc), using Rosa's special bushes to hide was mostly a bad idea, as enemy players would know they were planted by her and therefore will often check them with an attack. Thankfully, the October 2023 update made that Rosa's bushes will always match the color of the environment that's being played, subverting this Trope and giving this Gadget more utility.
  • Shout-Out:
  • Slaying Mantis: In her Mantis skin, she replaces her thorny gloves with mantis scythes and her attire overall resembles the eponymous insect.
  • Smart People Wear Glasses: She's one of the few Brawlers who wears reading glasses, and she's a Genius Bruiser expert in the field of botany.
