openIndentation in Moments subpages Anime
Naijal changed the indentation in NightmareFuel.YuGiOhVRAINS and is now presented as follows:
- #81: Oh boy. Just when you thought GO's appearance during his duel against Earth wasn't bad enough... he looks even worse come his next encounter with Playmaker, as by that time, he looks like an old man.
- To the shock of Aqua, not only is GO in possession of Earth's "G Golem Crystal Heart", it is also tainted into a darkened state, thanks to GO's influence over said card.
Are they in the right?
Edited by Tenma-YuukiopenYu-Gi-Oh VRAINS subpage issues Anime
A while ago I spent about a half-hour trying to clean Awesome.Yu Gi Oh VRAINS of episode numbers and natter, including "three reasons why x card is awesome" type stuff and multiple moments being listed under numbers, like #1 for episode 1 on its own line and actual moments beneath it. After painstakingly removing natter plus every single number like that and trying to work remaining numbered moments into text format if it was hard to describe without listing what episode it was, with another troper backing it up per this query, Naijal put it all back on the grounds that a few examples still have episode numbers and the other moments pages, like Funny.Yu Gi Oh Vrains are troped episodically.
Does anyone have input on this issue? Other manga and anime pages have this as well sometimes, like Awesome.Dragonball Super or Funny.Yu Gi Oh Arc V, but this is the most notable example in recent memory to me.
Edited by lalalei2001openEdit warring troper on TheScrappy entry Anime
*sigh* This page again. TheTrailblazerCritic keeps restoring an entry placed under The Scrappy in YMMV.Attack On Titan that was repeatedly deemed by the Scrappy cleanup thread to be an immediate cut since it uses words like "borderline". Mod intervention is needed.

I was gonna add an example to the Shimoneta work page, concerning the fandom's attraction to Oboro's character. Normally, that'd fall under Perverse Sexual Lust since it's real people being infatuated by a fictional character. But is Perverse Sexual Lust a YMMV trope and, if so, should I place the example on that page? Or should I place it on the main work page under Stupid Sexy Flanders?
Edited by MiinUopen Anime: State the name; pause for effect Anime
I'm watching Hero Mask on Netflix and besides the agonising long stares in conversations, I'm noticing how much characters just say a person's name and nothing more. There's a heck of a lot of "Monica." when she's not there, but also saying the name of someone who's just entered the scene or is leaving (e.g. soooo much "Theo!" at one point). What are these terrible writing tropes that seem to just fill air time?
Edited by FacesOfMuopenHow to recap ''Doraemon''? Anime
I've been thinking about creating pages for individual Doraemon episodes and comics, but I'm just not sure how to recap it. The order of the comic is completely different between the Japanese version and the English version. The show has hundreds of episodes, many of which have been remade multiple times. Many of the show's episodes are adapted from the comics, but some aren't. Does anyone have ideas on how the recap page should look?
Edit: And should I leave the page names in Japanese when referring to episodes with no English titles?
Edit 2: Here's the first episode with a Recap page. Recap.Doraemon 1979 E 1759 Soap Bubbles

openA newcomer want to add some new things Anime
I want to add some new stuffs from the manga I have read recently to the Nightmare Fuel page but do not know how to add it in the first place. Can anyone give me a link or any guide for me to use as a reference?
openRinging Bell example on Anime Woolseyism Anime
The intro to Ringing Bell has a narration explaining the symbolism and moral of the movie, just in case you didn't get it. In the Japanese version it's just quiet (and to foreshadow that this wasn't some cute kids movie).
This sounds way more like complaining ()
open Whaaaai? Anime
Why Boku No Pico page was deleted? Maybe it is hentai, but also an iconic thing!
openQuestion about One Piece character page Anime
Regarding the Characters. One Piece Cat Burglar Nami article, it was first created back in April since the main Straw Hat Pirates character page was getting too long. However, it was mistakenly created as Characters. One Piece Straw Hat Nami; as such, I moved it to the correct page, which is Characters. One Piece Cat Burglar Nami. I attempted to take the "Straw Hat Nami" redirect to the cut list a few hours ago. Unfortunately, it got declined.
What's the best possible option in this case? Thanks.
Edited by gjjonesopenRemoval of God Never Said That examples Anime
Editor Retrospect Greg removed a large chunk of examples on God Never Said That for Naruto, alleging "pairing bias". Not only the examples are true and have been confirmed by multiple sources and interviews, but he also removed at least one example that had nothing to do with pairings.
Edited by matruzopenAdd a funny moments page? Anime
So I've been doing so work on the Arifureta Shokugyoude Sekai Saikyou and wanted to add a funny moments page but the option isn't in the +page list of pages to add. I noticed that those pages seem to be on the sugar wiki and pink, so is something specific I have to do?
openAnger and puffy cheeks Anime
What's the name of the trope whereby a character (generally a female, or Chikorita or Jigglypuff) makes puffy cheeks because they're mad at their partner?
openBad Export For You Anime
I'm aware of the fact that while we're generally lucky to receive fixed bluray masters for American BD releases, we've still gotten unfinished TV animations for some shows. This line in particular stood out:
"Most companies are polite enough to generally give the localization companies the "fixed" versions of these shows — but there have still been releases that wind up basically shoving the lower-quality TV episodes at the American audience like it's the best they'll ever get."
I've been curious as to *what* releases in particular got this implication in the US.
openCreators: A question about company successorship Anime
Kodansha Comics is probably the only major manga publisher in the US that doesn't have a creator page (others are, in alphabetical order, Seven Seas Entertainment, Viz Media, and Yen Press). I would like to launch the article, but I'm confused with the company successorship issues between Kodansha Comics and Del Rey Manga.
This wiki says "De[l] Rel Manga was discontinued in 2010, with Kodansha Comics USA being created in its place." The truth is, the transaction isn't as clear cut.
Specifically, Kodansha didn't directly took over Del Rey. Rather, "Del Rey's ongoing manga titles which were licensed by Kodansha will be gradually taken over by Kodansha USA Publishing on a per-title basis." The fact that Kodansha Comics is treated as a successor of Del Ray Manga is because Del Rey Manga was a collaboration between Random House Kodansha in the first place.
Given the history between these two imprints, should I "move" Creator.Del Rey Manga to Creator.Kodansha Comics, or should I launch the latter as a separate page?
openEntry embedded in notes Anime
Rebel Falcon has embedded a few entries listed under Mêlée à Trois in notes in the Anime.YuGiOhVRAINS page. Here's what it looks like:
- Exaggerated and zigzagged in the second season, as initially there were a total of 6 factions.note
- Yusaku, Ai, and Kusanagi are joined by Takeru, the two having sought out Playmaker after Flame fled the attack on Cyberse World seeking to find out the attackers' identities, Yusaku believing them to be the same group that stole Jin's conscious data.
- SOL Tech is now led by Queen, and has hired Bounty Hunters (Go Onizuka, Blood Shepherd, Kenmochi, and Yoroizaka) to hunt down the Ignis. Blood Sheperd largely works on his own though and won't hesitate eliminate anyone in his way.
- An unknown faction, including Bohman and Haru, lay waste on the Cyberse world and steal Jin's conscious data. They're led by Lightning, the Light Ignis, and stole Jin's consciousness as he's Lightning's origin, now an obedient servant. Joining Lightning is Windy, the Wind Ignis, both seeing themselves above humanity and desiring to control them.
- Akira secretely leads a splinter group with Emma and Aoi, intending on finding the missing Ignis and determining if they are a threat.
- The Knights of Hanoi return as Revolver promised, though smaller in number and starting by breaking Baira out of prison, remaining dedicated to their mission of terminating the Ignis.
- The remaining Ignis are attacked by Lightning's group after destroying the Cyberse world, then hunted by both the Knights of Hanoi and SOL Tech, forcing them on the run.
- Earth remained indecisive until learning what Lightning did to Aqua, in which he decided to oppose Lightning and Humanity to protect Aqua.
- Aqua wanted to side with humanity, but after discovering Lightning's plans, was imprisoned by him until Earth freed her.
- Exaggerated and zigzagged in the second season, as initially there were a total of 6 factions.note
- Later, a series of Enemy Mine narrows it down back to 3.note
- Cafe Nagi, Hanoi, Akira's Group, and Aqua are forced together to oppose both Lightning and SOL Tech.
- SOL Tech successfully captures and terminates Earth after turning Go into a Half-Human Hybrid with an AI.
- Lightning's Group officially declare war on humanity, intent on capturing the remaining Ignis and taking over. Windy is crippled after losing to Revolver, though Lightning says he'll fix him.
- Later, a series of Enemy Mine narrows it down back to 3.note
Is this kosher?
(Side note: they've also been capitalising non-proper nouns for no reason.)
Edited by Tenma-YuukiopenValid or not? Spoilers for the My Hero Academia movie. Anime
InsanePryomanic removed an entry I had made regarding the usage of Foreshadowing in the My Hero Academia Movie, My Hero Academia: The Two Heroes. His reasoning being; "doesn't make sense, 3 of them besides wolfram use their quirks, and guns are still deadly if your name isnt Kirashima or All Might. A lot of people in MHA world don't have super effective combat quirks. A Lso the heroes took down the mooks too fast to tell anything about them."
I explained why this example made sense within the film and readded it. I should of discussed it further which would fit as an edit war and I should of done so, so I made a mistake on that. After however, InsanePryomanic readded it after adding a note to the discussion saying: "Foreshadowing section on mooks using guns is grasping for straws, to the point of not making any sense."
The passive-aggressive attitude does not help but the user failed to explain how this does not count. The example below is the entry he removed most recently (October 26th at 2:00pm). I even acknowledge some errors in the original entry and tweaked it to make more sense. Nobody else has mentioned this isn't an example so I wanted to ask here if this is considered a valid example.
"The villains use firearms instead of their Quirks to threaten the Pro Heroes, and only resort to using Quirks when they are away from the Pro Heroes they have hostage, namely when in the security room, or when dealing with the students. Given how rare it is to be Quirkless, the fact that the villains use firearms while dealing with the hostages and actively seem to be hiding their Quirks from the Pro Heroes, yet use their Quirks when dealing with the students seems odd until The Reveal that the villains were originally actors who played the part of villains. This can also be seen with the films main villain Wolfram, who uses a firearm for most of the movie, until he reveals his plan to double-cross David Shield."
I can concead if it ends up not being a point but InsanePryomanic is acting like this is illogical to assume and is acting as if it is 100% not an example without clarifying why since his first reason is incorrect and does not explain how this is not an example.
