Kodansha Comics is probably the only major manga publisher in the US that doesn't have a creator page (others are, in alphabetical order, Seven Seas Entertainment, Viz Media, and Yen Press). I would like to launch the article, but I'm confused with the company successorship issues between Kodansha Comics and Del Rey Manga.
This wiki says "De[l] Rel Manga was discontinued in 2010, with Kodansha Comics USA being created in its place." The truth is, the transaction isn't as clear cut.
Specifically, Kodansha didn't directly took over Del Rey. Rather, "Del Rey's ongoing manga titles which were licensed by Kodansha will be gradually taken over by Kodansha USA Publishing on a per-title basis." The fact that Kodansha Comics is treated as a successor of Del Ray Manga is because Del Rey Manga was a collaboration between Random House Kodansha in the first place.
Given the history between these two imprints, should I "move" Creator.Del Rey Manga to Creator.Kodansha Comics, or should I launch the latter as a separate page?
