gotham etc.: It does imply that the mentor also steals jewellery now and then, but it doesn't have to mean that.

Technically, all you're saying is that the mentee's habit of stealing now and then in some way resembles the mentor. You're not necessarily saying that the time part is the same.

Here's one for Asheron's Call

Perpetually Static: Mostly played straight, but with a few major subversions. Namely: the city of Arwic was destroyed by the shadows in the first story arc, and wasn't rebuilt until a few real-life years later. Much later, the city of Tou-Tou was destroyed by monsters as well but was never rebuilt.

I didn't connect them back together because the first sentence was already too long.

Twisted Wonderland Characters

  • Acquired Poison Immunity: Malleus is immune to Vil's Unique Magic poison mist after he enters the destroyed coliseum that overblot Vil caused. It implies Malleus is unaffected to poison due to being born a fae.
  • Does Not Like Spam: Downplayed. Malleus's Birthday Suit SSR personal story, he says he doesn't really dislike sweet food like whole cake, but it's too big for him to eat. He once tries to eat the whole cake, but he didn't finish all the cake at his birthday because he was getting heartburn. Malleus is aware he wasn't to eat all the whole cake it just he has no one to eat with me back then. When Yuu suggests that they should the cake with everyone at his birthday, which he agreed with them and maybe his impression of whole cakes will change.
  • Not Afraid to Die: When Vil asks Rook why he would want to drink the poison apple juice even though he won't be alive if he drink it, Rook explains he wanted to believe Vil will never do something that ruined his beauty. However, even if Vil really did put a curse on the apple juice, he wanted to taste it for once and he'll be glad to have a taste of poisonous fruits of Vil's obsession for beauty. Kalim disagree with Rook and he will make sure he won't let Rook sacrifice his own life.

First, "raiding from jewellery stores" should be "robbing jewellery stores".

I would change "taking after his mentor" to "partially taking after his mentor".

The reader will understand that what you're talking about is the stealing from jewellery stores part, not how often he does it.

Note that I didn't change "jewellery" to "jewelry" because jewellery is the Commonwealth spelling.

Got it, Arivne. Some of those changed were already posted but I'll go back and edit them.

@ Glory Road I'd like to alter a past edit that I made after reading a couple of articles about a Historical Domain Character and how the actor was trying to play him as not being explicitly racist.

@Live and Let Die
  • One-Scene Wonder: Dambala, Baron Samedi's snake-handling follower who wears a thong and a goat-skin headpiece, appears in two scenes, but one is very brief, and he doesn't talk in either scene.
  • Special Effects Failure: The snake Dambala uses during the voodoo ceremonies is clearly made of plastic.
@ Thunderball @ Kangaroo Court
  • Just about every J.A. Johnstone western series has featured this scenario at least once when the hero runs afoul of a villain who can justifiably boast that I Own This Town. One example is in Matt Jensen: The Last Mountain Man: Purgatory. The court-appointed defense lawyer is drunk and isn't given any time to sober up or search for witnesses among the nearby townspeople, the Dirty Cop who arrested Matt serves as the judge, and the jurors all owe favors to the judge. Matt is sentenced to hang for a Crime of Self-Defense less than an hour after being arrested.

Hi guys. I'm here again. Let's have another try:

A Headscratcher for Cobra Kai:

  • In the third season finale, John Kreese agrees to leave if Miyagi Do defeats Cobra Kai in the upcoming All Valley Karate Tournament. However, back in the first season, before Johnny Lawrence convinced the board to let Cobra Kai enter the tournament, the board stated that Cobra Kai was banned permanently after the actions of Kreese, Terry Silver and Mike Barnes. So why the board doesn't oppose Cobra Kai to join the dojo if Kreese is back running it? They should not wonder why Johnny was the dojo's sensei months ago but now Kreese is the sensei?

And a Headscratcher for The Phantom Menace:

  • If the Jedi Council still denied to train Anakin with or without Qui-Gon's death, then what would have been made with the young kid? Qui-Gon had freed him from his life as a slave on Tatooine only for him to go to Coruscant and be denied the possibility to join the Jedi Order! Would Qui-Gon or Obi-Wan have returned to Tatooine to give him back to Shmi and say "Sorry Mrs. Skywalker, but in the end Anakin is not going to be accepted so he goes back to you", would have Anakin stayed in Coruscant or what?

Twisted Wonderland Characters

  • Poison Is Corrosive: Vil's Unique Magic "Fairest One of All", not only he can cast curses, but he can create a poisonous liquid that evaporate into a mist, if anyone inhale it, their bodies would be paralyzed in a second. The poison can also use to kill people when overblot Vil's fail attempt to use this on Rook, Epel, Deuce, Ace, Kalim, Jamil, Grim, Yuu and himself.
  • Training from Hell: In Lilia's Birthday Suit SSR personal story, Silver along with Sebek once undergo harsh training by Lilia during their early childhood such as swimming up against the rapids and climb up the mountain where the air is thin. However, once Lilia realizes how Silver and Sebek were trying their to best to endure severe training, he decides to stop training them and raise them like children.

Pokémon Anime - Ash and Pikachu:

Ash Ketchum

  • Jerkass Has a Point:
    • Ash has just as much a right to be a jerk to Misty as she does during the Kanto arc, considering how much a Jerkass she is to him during that time.
    • When she and Ash get into an argument when the latter mopes about his loss at the Indigo League, he calls her a Hypocrite for saying he's full of himself when during the Kanto arc, she demonstrates a habit of praising her own beauty, somewhat subpar battling and training skills.

  • Break the Cutie:

Before: In the Indigo League Championships, the day of his match with Ritchie, he was kidnapped by Team Rocket. After spending the entire episode using all of his Pokemon to escape (almost missing the match, and only not missing it because Ritchie kept stalling for time), he finally makes it back. Most of his Pokemon are too exhausted to battle by this point, meaning that he's handicapped. On top of that, he lost solely because Charizard refused to listen to him, thinking Ritchie's Pikachu was too weak to battle. Ash, feeling that his dreams were now over, was understandably depressed the next day, only everyone treated him like he had no right to mope. He bounces back afterward.

I'll be spending the next several hours traveling traveling with little or no internet connection, and so If it's alright, I'm going to post my latest set of edits before I get back the stuff I posted yesterday.

@ Mackenna's Gold

  • Alternate Character Interpretation: Was Mackenna's past relationship with Apache outcast Hesh-Ke a case of Dating Catwoman? Or did Hesh-Ke's tribe only throw her out after she had an affair with the white man who arrested her brother, causing her to join Colorado's gang out of desperation?
@ Big Trouble
  • Cowboy Cop: Agents Seitz and Greer think nothing of shooting an unarmed criminal in the foot to get information or yanking an obnoxious motorist through his window to commander his car. However, they claim that they actually are legally allowed to do that thanks to a recent executive order.
  • Fat and Skinny: Agent Greer is about a hundred pounds heavier than his partner, Agent Seitz.
  • Mama Bear: Anne is very protective of Jenny, tackling Matt when he runs in to shoot her (with a squirt gun).
  • Never Hurt an Innocent: Henry and Leonard don't try to kill Puggy after he sees their faces and wait until Anne and Jenny aren't in the line of fire before shooting at Arthur.
  • The Stoic: Ivan and Leonid barely show any emotion, whether they're conducting business or being held at gunpoint.
@ The Spy Who Loved Me @ Get Smart I'm not sure if Take Me Instead is the best trope for this but it seemed to fit the situation better than any similar ones except maybe Heroic Sacrifice.
  • Take Me Instead: In "The Spirit is Willing,'' Les Vogel begs his boss to shoot him instead of his accomplice/lover Ann after they get caught selling KAOS secrets to Max.
@ Secret Santa A new page I want to make. There are a few more tropes for this story, that I didn't have room for in this post. Despite several web searches, I'm not sure if company comptroller or executive assistant are properly capitalized but since I put them before characters' names I think that they are.

A comedic Christmas short story with mystery themes, written by Steve Hockensmith and published in the short story collection Naughty: Nine Tales of Christmas Crime. After a Secret Santa exchange, sleazy office drone Bigelow starts getting embarrassing presents from someone who knows his dark secrets, causing him to self-destruct as he tries to find out which of his coworkers is responsible.

Tropes:

  • The Alcoholic: During Erik's hunt for his Secret Santa, he finds a bottle of Jim Beam in Company Comptroller Peter Jarry's desk.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Chris McCoy, the editor of DVD Now!
[T]hough McCoy's work area looked like utter chaos, his magazine never missed a deadline, and Bigelow had to assume there was some kind of system involved even if it escaped his powers of deduction.
  • Excrement Statement: Erik gives Sandberg, who he thinks is his malicious Secret Santa, a huge pile of dog poop as a "present."
  • Guile Hero: Erik's Secret Santa Marcy, who drives Erik crazy with taunting secret Santa gifts, causing Erik to retaliate against the person she's tricked him into thinking is responsible with an Excrement Statement. Marcy then arranges for the whole office to witness this so their boss can see Erik for the sleaze ball he is. She also makes her last gift to Erik an innocent one, so he'll look crazy when he opens the present to try and explain himself. It's also implied that Marcy's primary motivation wasn't to get revenge against Erik for being a Mean Boss but to keep him from getting Nice Guy Sandberg fired.
  • Hufflepuff House: Three magazines operate out of Erik's office, but the staff of Muscles Now! wraps up early and leaves for the holidays before the story begins.
  • Hypocritical Humor: Erik always arrives to work an hour late with "his eyes peeled for anyone as lax and late as he was."
  • The Internet Is for Porn: Erik uses his expense account to watch lots of pay-per-view porn.
  • Professional Butt-Kisser: Erik quickly agrees with every little thing his boss and former high school crony Dave Crowley says to distract Crowley from Erik's many flaws.
  • Sassy Secretary: Executive Assistant Marcy isn't afraid to call Erik out when he's acting outrageously. She's also the Secret Santa making his life miserable.
  • Secret Santa: Erik Bigelow's secret Santa sends him malicious gifts that imply knowledge of various misdeeds that could get Erik fired.
  • Sexy Secretary: Executive Assistant Marcy is described as "shapely" and "one of Bigelow's favorite sights."

One Piece: Land of Wano Arc:

Before: All of the stunts Luffy pulled back in Totland comes calling this arc to collect payback. Had Luffy not angered Big Mom so much, she would not have chased him to Wano and then team up with Kaido to make things worse for everyone.

After: All of the stunts Luffy pulled back in Totto land comes calling this arc to collect payback. Had Luffy not angered Big Mom so much, she would not have chased him to Wano and then team up with Kaido to make things worse for everyone. In his defense, Luffy only went to Totto land for a stealth mission to rescue Sanji and retrieve a copy of Big Mom's Road Ponelglyh, until escalating circumstances brought on by the fact that Big Mom immediately detects Luffy's presence the moment he sets foot in her territory forces his hand, leading him to pull said stunts.
