Subpages cleanup: Complete Monster

Go To

During the investigation of recent hollers in the Complete Monster thread, it's become apparent to the staff that an insular, unfriendly culture has evolved in the Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard threads that is causing problems.

Specific issues include:

  • Overzealous hollers on tropers who come into the threads without being familiar with all the rules and traditions of the tropes. And when they are familiar with said rules and traditions, they get accused (with little evidence) of being ban evaders.
  • A few tropers in the thread habitually engage in snotty, impolite mini-modding. There are also regular complaints about excessive, offtopic "socializing" posts.
  • Many many thread regulars barely post/edit anywhere else, making the threads look like they are divorced from the rest of TV Tropes.
  • Following that, there are often complaints about the threads and their regulars violating wiki rules, such as on indexing, crosswicking, example context and example categorization. Some folks are working on resolving the issues, but...
  • Often moderator action against thread regulars leads to a lot of participants suddenly showing up in the moderation threads to protest and speak on their behalf, like a clique.

It is not a super high level problem, but it has been going on for years and we cannot ignore it any longer. There will be a thread in Wiki Talk to discuss the problem; in the meantime there is a moratorium on further Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard example discussion until we have gotten this sorted out.

Update: The new threads have been made and can be found here:

Please see the Frequently Asked Questions and Common Requests List before suggesting any new entries for this trope.

IMPORTANT: To avoid a holler to the mods, please see here for the earliest date a work can be discussed, (usually two weeks from the US release), as well as who's reserved discussion.

When voting, you must specify the candidate(s). No blanket votes (i.e. "[tup] to everyone I missed").

No plagiarism: It's fair to source things, but an effortpost must be your own work and not lifted wholesale from another source.

We don't care what other sites think about a character being a Complete Monster. We judge this trope by our own criteria. Repeatedly attempting to bring up other sites will earn a suspension.

What is the Work

Here you briefly describe the work in question and explain any important setting details. Don't assume that everyone is familiar with the work in question.

Who is the Candidate and What have they Done?

This will be the main portion of the Effort Post. Here you list all of the crimes committed by the candidate. For candidates with longer rap sheets, keep the list to their most important and heinous crimes, we don't need to hear about every time they decide to do something minor or petty.

Do they have any Mitigating Factors or Freudian Excuse?

Here you discuss any potential redeeming or sympathetic features the character has, the character's Freudian Excuse if they have one, as well as any other potential mitigating factors like Offscreen Villainy or questions of moral agency. Try to present these as objectively as possible by presenting any evidence that may support or refute the mitigating factors.

Do they meet the Heinousness Standard?

Here you compare the actions of the Candidate to other character actions in the story in order to determine if they stand out or not. Remember that all characters, not just other villains, contribute to the Heinousness Standard

Final Verdict?

Simply state whether or not you think the character counts or not.

If I haven’t said so already, Welcome to the thread, Prawn. As for, worrying about your first effortpost, and those that got thumped, I mean, we are all a mixed bag of nuts, and we each have bad habits which sometimes show up in this forum, but as long as one doesn’t disrupt the thread on a regular basis, we’re golden.

Oh, and BTW, if you see anything on my to-do list that intersests you, just let me know, and I’ll hand it over to you.

Alright...Since I have an access to my computer now, finishing her arc and you guys ask for it because it can get troublesome to stall things longer...

What's the Work

Honkai Impact 3rd is a mobile game from China released around 2016. The story? You play as an unnamed captain of a battleship known as Hyperion and manage female fighters known as Valkyries to fight against the phenomenon called Honkai and it's manifestations, mainly the zombies or Honkai beasts. Now, Valkyrie themselves are from a Nebulous Evil Organization known as Schicksal Organization. They also clash with another organization known as Anti-Entropy because of different agenda that they had.

Now, speaking of Honkai, there are powerful entities known as the Herrschers who tries to destroy humanity and Schicksal Organization themselves are revealed to be a rather shady organization as I said. Some Herrscher can qualify for this trope and I'll get to the most prominent one soon enough. But there's another Herrscher that I'm going to talk about who probably kickstarts the whole ordeal for Honkai Impact 3rd game...

Meet Herrscher of the Erosion.

Who is She/What Has She Done

Alright...Our candidate here in question is actually the 12th Herrscher or better known as Herrscher of the Erosion. Now, the Herrscher in question? Was actually born in the Old World, a previous world that was destroyed by an Herrscher called Herrscher of the End (someone who will be brought to this thread some time soon alongside Herrscher of the Void) 52.000 years ago. Anyways, this Herrscher is actually a condescending self-aware virus that emerged with the Houkai's will and views living beings as a toy for her to play with and had a different agenda from the Houkai's Will and planned to destroy the human ciivilization to build a plague kingdom for herself, a dead world.

To that end, she then bodyjacks a girl named Higokumaru and spread a lethal plague that kill millions of people. This resulted on Higokumaru getting contained by the Fire Moth army and was horrifically executed by the scientists and general's because she was considered to be dangerous to be kept alive.

Unfortunately, that didn't last long, as it was revealed that despite her vessel died, Erosion then escapes from the vessel and then hacked the nuclear missile that Fire Moth had while attacking the last bastion of humanity which resulted on billions died. Why did she do this? Because she wants to create her own plague kingdom. Fortunately, she was sealed via a Purple Box for thousands of years but this also causes Higokumaru's consciousness to be sealed too.

Except it didn't last long because somehow she got free around 15th century of the New World, more than 52.000 years after she was sealed due to the people of Schicksal used the Purple Box which resulted on the Honkai beasts causes destruction across Europe. But this was also an opportunity for Erosion as this actions that Schicksal had performed would cause Erosion to spread a deadly pandemic called Black Death across the world, wiping the 1/3 of the population. Fortunately? She was sealed again in the Purple Box thanks to Otto Apocalypse. However, the Purple Box was brought to Japan by Otto's lover, Kallen Kaslana.

Arriving at Japan, the Herrscher then attempts to manipulate a village maiden named Yae Sakura while cursing her innocent village with hunger, poverty and diseases. This resulted on said village had no choice but to perform human sacrifices and most of the ones that got sacrificed were children. Using the village's religious beliefs, the Herrscher of the Erosion used the child sacrifices to grow stronger and regain her physical form. Erosion? Basks on their agony because why not and at one point, she did kidnap a child, tying her into the tree and then uses her as the resource for the Honkai Beasts to devour.

After this debacle, The Erosion used the Honkai beasts to attack the village and killing dozens of villagers to force the leaders of said village to start another child sacrifice. When the sacrifice was interrupted by Kallen Kaslana, Erosion had enough of her and crushed the child and ate his mother before taking over Sakura's body to taunt Kallen and proceeded to slaughter the whole village. When her vessel refused to kill Kallen, Erosion assumed her Fox form and devoured Yae Sakura right in front of lover. Fortunately, she was sealed again because Kallen showed a compassion to her for being part of her lover, Yae Sakura.

500 years later, when the S-Valkyrie Theresa Apocalypse (a clone of Kallen Kaslana created by Otto Apocalypse) was defeated by another Herrscher, the Erosion who was still sealed inside of the stigmata tried to bite off her throat while she was sleeping. As if it wasn't enough, the Herrscher of the Erosion, who was sealed inside of Kallen's stigmata alongside her vessel, used her powers to manipulate the artificial world of Kallen's stigmata to repeat the same day where Yae Sakura was forced to sacrifice her sister for 500 years just to get the flavor of revenge while claiming it was for the "greater good" of Yae Village. Assuming the appearance of her father, the Erosion daily abused Sakura when she dared to spoke against her, it becomes more evident when the Herrscher threw a rock at her head for trying to protect Theresa Apocalypse. In order to escape from the stigmata world, the Erosion started another sacrifice and ordered her minions to go after Theresa and ordered them to cut her feet so she couldn't escape. To taste her revenge, Erosion ordered Sakura to kill Theresa but couldn't, angered by this the Herrscher herself took over her body and impaled Theresa, leading Sakura to lose her sanity while the Herrscher escaped from the artificial world and tried to use Theresa's body to kill Kiana Kaslana and Bronya to "celebrate" her revival.

Even after being sealed for the second time in a sword, the Herrscher of the Erosion continues her old ways to become an asshole by either taunting Yae that it's impossible to save Kallen. To wreck havoc the artificial world, the Herrscher transformed all villagers of the Yae Village into zombies. She later attempts to escape again via freeing her old vessel and again possessing Higokumaru who now becomes a cute chibi like fox girl to kill Sakura for beating her once and still trying to accomplish her twisted goal of destroying humanity to spite Kallen's desires of protecting mankind. However, she was sealed in a powerful sword called Jizo Mitama and said sword was thrown inside Judah's Stigmata World. So yeah...Happy ending for her I guess lol!

Freudian Excuse/Mitigating Factors

Alright, so I initially dismissed Erosion because there's one scene that give me severe pause: In one scene, she accepts her defeat because Theresa shows a compassion by hugging her. And you could argue that this was because she was tortured and sealed by the scientist right?

No...Herrscher of the Erosion was an evil bastard to begin with and even if Theresa shows her a compassion, the Herrscher then go back into her own ways to cause some harm around her and tries to spite Kallen because why not? It was only then revealed the one who accepted her defeat was her old vessel, Higokumaro, who managed to take control of her body once again after receiving love. And it's established that Erosion was evil back then and still an evil bastard until now and the foreseeable future.

Now then, let's talk about the Herrscher itself. Herrscher is actually revealed to be an entity who fused themselves with a Houkai energy and this causes them to attempt the destruction of mankind including Erosion herself. Sounds like an agency problems isn't it? Nah! Here's the thing about them though: Most of them are capable of feeling human emotions and is aware of the morality that surrounded them. Any of the moral agency problems is dissipated when you have one of the Herrschers repent her ways and becoming a good friends with their vessel so yeah...

Aside that, Zip, Zilch, Nada! Well...Except for one thing.

Heinous Standard

Okay, now I won't sugarcoat it. Despite the lighthearted tone of the series, Honkai Impact 3rd has a really brutal heinous standard. Mainly because of the Herrschers roaming around with Void (Which I'll get into in foreseeable future since it's revealed that her arc still ongoing) being the worst of them all and that's saying something due to their attempt to destroy humanity. And yeah, people of the Schicksal and especially Otto are contributing to the heinous standard especially on Otto's case with him having experimented in hundreds of thousand women, bombed entire towns with nuclear missiles, sacrificed his own allies, killed his own niece, tortured hundreds of Valkyries, cloned his own granddaughter to rise her as a disposable puppet... So yeah, Honkai Impact has a rather brutal heinous standard to deal with.

But I should note something regarding Erosion, I think what makes her unique is that she tries to kill all the world via a pandemic just to create her plague kingdom. That and whether you think child murder/sacrifice is unique or not? I think what Erosion did to Yae's village regarding the sacrifice may pushes her over the line.

Final Verdict

I'll let you guys decide on this one. Come to think of this, longer tenure villains that are worth an EP will wait for a longer time mainly because of their arcs haven't been finished yet. Special thanks to my friend on this one especially when fixing the inaccuracies of the EP or grammar mistakes. Until then, thoughts?

So I'm done with Escaping Peril, the eighth book in the Wings of Fire franchise. No, I am not done with the second arc and have not started with the third. But just like Princess Blister, I feel like this candidate is worthy of discussion since her arc is clearly over and done with.

"Tyk, I thought AFreakyDude was gonna cover Queen Scarlet?"

Yeah...and then he went silent for a month. And then I PMed and he said he changed his mind. I guess. :/

Just like the first arc, the second arc takes place in the dragon-populated world of Pyrrhia, which is mostly populated by dragons. However, the War of SandWing Succession has been resolved, and most of the fighting has calmed down. A school known as Jade Mountain Academy has been built so all dragonets regardless of their race can learn and train and live together in peace. But shortly after the academy opens, a small band of dragonets—Moon, Winter, Kinkajou, Turtle, and Qibli—all learn of a horrible prophecy about a grave threat known as Darkstalker who may or may not be resurrected and bring about the end of the world. He's by far one of the worst dragons of all time. Absolutely nothing good has been said about him. Everyone sees him as The Dreaded, and he should be feared by all. He is the worst of the worst.

But fuck him; we're gonna talk about a SkyWing queen now.

Who Is She?

Queen Scarlet is the ruthless ruler of the SkyWing tribe who enjoys gladiator death matches and watches dragons kill each other for her own entertainment. She's also the Disc-One Final Boss for both the first and second arcs in the franchise.

What Has She Done?

Similar to Princess Blister, the plot is a bit scattered, so lemme get into the backstory first.

For over two decades, Queen Scarlet has been ruling over the Sky Palace and other SkyWing-controlled areas like any common tyrant. Several dragons have tried to fight Scarlet to the death in order to reclaim the throne, and all of them have perished—mostly by Scarlet's talons. Some of said dragons include many members of Scarlet's family, such as several of her own daughters, her sisters, and her own mother. Anyone seen as a threat, Scarlet had assassinated or she killed them personally. When the War of SandWing Succession began, she teamed up with Princess Burn, after she promised Scarlet various bits of territory for the SkyWings to use. She also was able to gather up hundreds of prisoners, all of whom were forced to fight each other to the death in Scarlet's arena for her amusement. During her conquest to secure her power, one night, Scarlet and her forces came upon a dragonet who was seemingly indestructible and could light anything on fire just by mere body contact. This dragonet, Peril, ended up being Scarlet's valuable weapon—a weapon Scarlet happily uses immediately by telling Peril to incinerate seven dragonets while they are still inside their eggs.

From this point forward, Scarlet treated Peril the way anyone would treat a "weapon." She took care of her, gave her dragons to kill, instructed her to murder in her name, etc. Whenever Peril seemed to act out of line, Scarlet would poison her or force her to feed off black rocks to keep her subdued. And whenever anyone challenged Scarlet to a fight, she'd have Peril fight for her—and she would always win, given Peril's special abilities. As a result, Scarlet remained queen for many more years, with no one to oppose her.

Now, onto the main plot.

Queen Scarlet shows up early on in The Dragonet Prophecy, just as Clay and his allies are escape from their cave Kestrel had them locked up inside. After biting off a scavenger's (or human's) head, she tries to cajole Clay and Tsunami to come with her to her palace. They attack her and flee, heading back to their cave to free Starflight, Sunny, and Glory. Just as they finally free them, Scarlet arrives along with a small group of SkyWings. She gets into a fight with Webs and Dune (two members of the Talons of Peace, and the dragonets' guardians), pinning the latter to the wall, just as Kestrel arrives, offering to give herself up so long as she leaves the dragonets alone. Scarlet responds by snapping Dune's neck and taking Kestrel and the dragonets prisoners, while Webs barely escapes. After returning to her palace, Scarlet wastes no time starting another gladiator match; Peril effortlessly kills a prisoner named Horizon, while the Dragonets of Destiny are forced to helplessly watch. Later, Scarlet has Clay fight an IceWing named Fjord, which ends with Fjord's death, and hosts a drawn-out trial for Kestrel—Peril's real mother—before declaring her guilty. After Peril tries to stand for her defense due to a workaround law permitting so, Scarlet kills Osprey—one of her advisors who told Peril about said law—and plots to have Kestrel killed later.

On Scarlet's hatchling day (birthday?), she decides to entertain her new guest, Princess Burn (as well as herself) by having all the dragonets fight in the arena until all of them perish. After Tsunami is forced to kill her father (whom she didn't know at the time) in a match, and Starflight is "rescued" by Morrowseer's NightWings, Scarlet makes Clay fight Peril, knowing full well that the only way for Peril to free Kestrel is if she kills Clay, whom she had befriended during his imprisonment. During the fight, Glory stealthily spits venom at Princess Burn, whom immediately grabs Scarlet and uses her face as a shield. The venom slowly burns through Scarlet's face and kills her, while the dragonets escape the arena.

Except no.

Turns out she survived and managed to escape, albeit now she has horrific facial wounds. During her absence, her daughter, Ruby, ends up taking the throne and ruling over Sky Palace properly. Scarlet doesn't show up again until The Hidden Kingdom, where Scarlet visits Glory in her dreams using a magical pendant known as a dreamvisitor. She tries to get Glory to free her, believing Glory "owes her" for what she did to her face, but Glory refuses to rescue her from captivity. The Dark Secret's epilogue reveals that Scarlet has been taken prisoner by Princess Burn and is being held inside of her personal fortress. She's seen again in The Brightest Night, still aggravated over her injuries and her current predicament, when she finds Sunny being held in a nearby cell. She threatens to kill her and all the other dragonets once she's freed from Burn's palace—which happens not much later on, after a tribe known as the Outclaws attack Burn's stronghold. Peril, despite knowing what kind of dragon Scarlet it, frees her from her cell, and the two dragons flee.

In Moon Rising, we find out that Scarlet has made good on her threat. Still powerless, Scarlet got other dragons to her dirty work for her. She made a deal with the IceWing heiress, Icicle using the dreamvisitor: if she killed all of the Dragonets of Destiny, she would free Hailstorm, Icicle's brother (whom she kidnapped two years before the events of novel). So Icicle tries to murder Starflight, but her attempt fails. Knowing her brother is at risk, Icicle flees to go kill Glory instead. Scarlet later visits Peril using the dreamvisitor, and discovers Icicle failed. Nevertheless, when Winter Turning comes along, she tries to use Icicle's brother, Winter, to do what Icicle failed at. Instead, he and the other dragonets try to hunt down Scarlet and kill her. She ends up confronting them in a dream and, knowing they won't do as she wants, terminates the deal and decides to kill Hailstorm. She sends her RainWing ally, Chameleon, to bring Pyrite, one of the dragonets' allies, to her so she can kill her personally. Winter and the others fight him off though. In a rather bizarre reveal, we find out that Pyrite is Hailstorm. After Scarlet kidnapped him, she had Chameleon use an animus-enchanted necklace to turn Hailstorm into an obedient SkyWing who would follow Scarlet's orders without question. Once it was taken off, Hailstorm turned back to normal, safe and sound.

Everything comes to a head in Escaping Peril. After Peril refuses to kill Queen Ruby on Scarlet's orders, Scarlet sends a warning to Jade Academy, tossing the severed head of who appeared to be Glory (but later it's revealed she's fine) at Queen Ruby and some of her soldiers. Peril, having been held in Jade Academy, and wanting to redeem herself for all she's done, decides that killing Scarlet will wipe her slate clean. After nearly killing Winter by accident, Peril leaves her new friend, Turtle, and reunited with Chameleon, who's actually her father. He secretly leads Peril to Scarlet, and the two of them confront each other. Scarlet and Chameleon both manage to convince Peril to join them on their journey, both by telling Peril that they are the only ones who accept her for who she is, and also by putting an animus-enchanted necklace around her that makes her loyal to Peril, and makes her forget who Clay is.

The trio fly to the Sky Palace, with Scarlet hell-bent on reclaiming the throne. As soon as they're there, they kidnap Cliff, Ruby's son, while Scarlet kills some of the guards in the palace. When Ruby returns, Scarlet forces her and her forces to surrender, or else she'll have Peril murder Cliff. She does, and is imprisoned. Cliff manages to escape and free her mother, but is stopped once again by Peril and Scarlet. When Scarlet starts gloating that she'll turn Cliff into the same weapon she turned Peril into, Peril finally realizes her surrogate mother doesn't give a damn about her, and betrays her. She takes off her necklace and her memories flood back, as do her burning powers. Just as Peril is about to kill her, Queen Ruby challenges Scarlet to a formal duel for the throne and kingdom, and she accepts. During the fight, Scarlet gravely wounds Ruby, up until Peril notices Ruby is wearing an earring. Peril removes and destroys it during battle, and it's revealed that she too was wearing an animus-enchanted trinket. Ruby never existed; the queen in question was really Tourmaline, one of Scarlet's daughters. She had Chameleon turn Tourmaline into a shy and meek dragon who wouldn't dream of challenging her mother, but her plan backfired when she got wounded by Glory, and Tourmaline wound up claiming the throne anyway.

Despite this revelation, this doesn't stop Tourmaline from finishing her fight in the slightest, and she breaks Scarlet's neck in what has got to be one of the most cathartic ways possible.

Mitigating Factors?

Since someone's gonna bring it up?

  • Jerkass Woobie: Queen Scarlet may have been a petty murderous tyrant, but it's hard not to feel sorry for her when she gets half her face melted off, is then abducted by her own ally because she wouldn't be able to defend herself, and is now roaming the Pyrrhian wilderness as a shadow of what she once was.

BULL. FUCKING. SHIT.

I already went ahead and deleted this off the YMMV page. There is nothing sympathetic about this damn dragon.

Let's get this out the way now. She does not care about Peril. Peril is nothing but a weapon to her—a weapon she used to inspire fear within her own community, and amongst her enemies. She does not care about her family either, considering she killed most of them, or threatened to have them killed if they so much as betrayed her. Anytime she spares someone, it's solely for pragmatic, selfish, or Villain Ball reasons. She could've easily killed all the dragonets in the first book, but chose not to because making their fight as gladiators and kill each other was much more thrilling to her.

She doesn't care about her minions and collaborators either. If you do what she says, good for you. You don't do what she says, you may as well tear your own throat out. It'll be merciful compared to what Scarlet will do to you.

She's basically as sociopathic as Blister, as sadistic as Burn, and as childish as Blaze. Very bad combination.

Heinous Standard Issues?

As I said before, there's a lot of nasty dragons in the series. Not including the villains from the first arc, this arc introduces Darkstalker, who manipulated Peril and Moon into freeing him from his prison; I doubt that's gonna lead to anything good. Someone tried to murder Icicle with a bomb, and inadvertently killed two innocent dragonets and wounded a third. Icicle herself tried to murder the Dragonets of Destiny to save her brother, and killed a few RainWings in the process. Winter, Icicle, and Hailstorm's mother and father tried to force Hailstorm to kill Winter because they wanted to increase their ranking within the IceWing kingdom, and because they saw Winter as a disappointment. And, apparently, there's a Hive Mind villain in the third arc who wants to destroy all sapient dragons in Pyrrhia.

All that being said, Scarlet is still a horribly character. No, she didn't start the War of SandWing Succession, but she participated in it gleefully, and used the war as a means to collect hundreds of prisoners. Said prisoners were either tortured to death, killed, or forced to fight to the death for Scarlet's entertainment—something that apparently happened on a daily basis. She murdered most of her family (albeit, not onscreen), had Peril murder over half a dozen dragonets in their eggs (this is depicted onscreen), and used animus magic to transform multiple dragons into completely different characters, psychologically damaging them. Even Peril, Scarlet's trusted ally, wasn't above such abuse, as Scarlet poisoned her whenever she didn't eat black rocks (It Makes Sense in Context), and she tried to have Peril's own mother executed out of spite, before later attempting to force Peril to kill Clay—again, out of spite.

And then there's the whole bit where she threatens to murder her only grandson, her daughter Ruby, and basically everyone who betrayed her in Escaping Peril...

Final Verdict?

Heinous standard is getting a bit higher, but I feel like Scarlet still makes it. She has a seriously-high body count, and her level of sadism, combined with the plethora of characters she psychologically damaged makes her stand out on a personal level as well.

[tup] Erosion and Scarlet.

What is the work? Massacre in Dinosaur Valley is an unintentionally hilarious Italian flick and a must-watch for fans of the cheesy genre: Bad acting, cheap gore, this film has everything except for dinosaurs. The plot follows Kevin Hall, an Indiana Jones wannabe looking for some fossils hidden deep in the Amazon jungle; travelling alongside him are a Shell-Shocked Veteran, models that only exist to give us the gratuitous nudity and other uninteresting characters who are going to get killed sooner or later. Their plane crash in the middle of the jungle and our characters eventually run into your typical exploitation bad guys: a tribe of cannibals. (Un)Fortunately the cannibals are not the only threat to our heroes.

Who is he? China (he's not even Asian) is the Big Bad of the second half of the film and a "fat, smelly evil bastard". The leader of a criminal militia operating in the jungle, China is illegally mining precious stones in the area, and to make things easier for him, China also enslaves people to work in the mines under terrible conditions; the poor victims wear tattered clothing and China's treatment of them made it impossible for them to walk upright. Introduced after Kevin and the two surviving girls Eva and Belinda escape from the cannibals, China invites them to stay at his base of operations and we see him ordering his men to put two prisoners in a cage and leave them without food or water for a couple of days to teach them a lesson. China quickly reveals that he never intended to help Kevin and the girls because they could expose his operation, but instead of simply killing them, China ties Kevin and leaves him inside a pen, telling him that he could either work in the mine or get slowly Eaten Alive by pigs, and as for the girls, China plans on using both of them as sex slaves for him and his group.

Setting his eyes on Eva, China takes her for himself and gives Belinda to be molested by his Psycho Lesbian, who informs Eva that after China gets tired of her body, he'll make her a "property" for the entire camp. When Belinda tries to escape from the future that awaits her, China executes her with a smile on his face by repeatedly shooting the girl right in the spine, and when she becomes paralyzed from her wounds, China lets her crawl away until she dies before casually taking Eva to his place and raping her. Kevin, now motivated to kill China and free Eva from him, uses his own blood to make the pigs bite the ropes that were restraining him; the slaves see this but they obviously don't say a word to China. Kevin escapes, returns to the camp with spears, manipulates China into wasting all of his bullets until there is only one shoot left and then throws a goddamn snake at him, forcing China to decide between shooting Kevin or the snake even if he could simply walk away from the animal and shoot Kevin with no problem whatsoever; China shoots the snake and Kevin takes the opportunity to kill him with one of the spears.

Mitigating Factors? China is seemingly friendly towards his men, but when things don't go his way, it's easy for him to boss them around, showing that this is just part of his Faux Affably Evil attitude.

Heinous? The tribe that came before him seem to have killed several people judging by a swamp with Nothing but Skulls, but unlike him, they never showed any Rape Is a Special Kind of Evil or Slavery Is a Special Kind of Evil tendencies, making the "civilized man" arguably worse than all of them combined.

Ah, Michael Sopkiw... I'm glad one of his four films had a keep. Blastfighter and After The Fall Of New York, from what I recall, both had near-misses.

Sure to Erosion.

[tup] Scarlet and China. According to IMDB, this was the ONLY role for Andy Silas, who played China.

[tup] China. And Scraggs is right about both films. Blastfighter had Wally Hanson, who cones this close to the baseline and whom I fully intend to EP as a Hate Sink someday, and 2019: After the Fall of New York has the Eurak leader, who is heinous enough but genuinely wajts to stop an infertility plague from driving humanity extinct.

[tup] Erosion, China and Scarlet. You know, I've always been fascinated when a series with sentient monsters or demons, a human can be the only CM candidate. I guess it's interesting to see a human be the worst in such settings.

[tup] Herrscher and Scarlet. Too many E Ps to check at once, but I'll [tup] those two.

Anyway, I have another Dark Romance candidate to propose later today. Frollo from their Hunchback adaptation. The games each have entirely separate stories however, so I have to ask, would the villains of all the separate games still share the same heinous standard?

PS: Sorry it's taking me a while to go through all the games. I can be a bit lazy. I have four left to check. Part of the reason it's taking me so long is I spend so much time on the Vs Battle Wiki now. I will get to it though.
