I'm convinced sometimes they have alternate versions of the same episode they air sometimes
New theme music also a boxThat reminds me of the confusion I experienced when an American syndicated TV airing of the Futurama episode "Zapp Dingbat" used the alternate climax scene, with a musical number, instead of the non-musical standard version. Both versions of the episode are available on DVD.
Are we human, or are we dancer? There's a Simpsons episode where homer has his chest ripped open by a badger and when its broadcast on UK TV they never show the scene
New theme music also a boxHere's another one I keep forgetting to add: in the restaurant scene of Dumb and Dumber, I very clearly remember the bottle of rat poison being labeled, and can even remember what it looked like: it was red with a black picture of a rat, and the brand name (also black) written underneath, although I forget the brand name. Now it's just a featureless black bottle, and the only reason we know it's rat poison is that we hear him talking to his boss about it in the scene before. The thing is, I remember part of why it was funny is he asks for his medication and they give the poison to him instead, so I thought they were too dumb to read the label that clearly said it was rat poison. If it's a black bottle, then they aren't stupid for giving it to him, as how could they possibly know it was poison?
I remembered Ash from Pokémon: The Series having a Venusaur, who was his Bulbasaur evolved into a final form. Interestingly enough, my older brother also remembered this.
—signature not found—I always remember Mawile's official artwork facing forwards, not backwards as it actually is.
I just realized that Igglybuff's cry in the anime is regularly "Iggly Iggly". For years I heard it as "Wookawoo"
The best character is always the one-shot disguise.I have this distinct memory of playing "Dr. Feelgood" on Guitar Hero Arcade when I was younger. It was only after looking up the setlist for that game that I realized something: Dr. Feelgood wasn't in Guitar Hero Arcade. Dr. Feelgood has never shown up in any Guitar Hero game.
Now, "Dr. Feelgood" is in Rock Band, but it isn't in a Guitar Hero game - at least, not officially; I have seen videos of some custom charts for the song that do look suspiciously similar to what I "remembered" playing.
BREAKING: Scaramouche Reportedly Caught Doing the FandangoI always thought Dewpider had eight limbs. Turns out it only has six.
I thought Aretha Franklin's last name was "Christie".
For every low there is a high.I was 100% sure that Erica Lindbeck did voiceovers for Robot Chicken but can’t find any evidence of this — maybe I was thinking of Smiling Friends?
Peace is the only battle worth waging.Until like, this year or the one before, I was so certain that How to Train Your Dragon came out in 2009.
—signature not found—I thought Night at the Museum was released in January instead of December.
Peace is the only battle worth waging.I believed for years that Pokémon Red and Blue were released in Europe in the middle of February 2000, mainly because in Italy the anime began in January of the same year and I never noticed the titles on the videogame shelves until I read an article in a random magazine stating that yes, there's a Game Boy game about. Later on I discovered they were already in stores in late 1999, but until some weeks ago I thought they came out in November but no, the actual proper release of those games in Europe was October 8, 1999.

The best character is always the one-shot disguise.Apparently we don't have a trope called Calling A Smeerp A Rabbit; it was Call a Smeerp a "Rabbit".
There’s this music that used to play at the end of every TV show promo on Treehouse TV. All the way back when I was young, I thought there was an alternate version of that same music, which I once tried to imitate in an audiocassette recording by singing the final notes as “bull bull bull bull bull bull bull”. I don’t know if that recording still exists, and I haven’t found any proof of the alternate music’s existence.
Also, in the PC game A Bug's Life: Active Play, one character draws a picture of Mickey Mouse. I had a false memory of a Goofy picture appearing as well, so that must have been a dream.

Are we human, or are we dancer? My brother is watching Ghostbusters right now and is surprised that I don't remember Bill Murray being in it at all.
Check out my forum game: Rate the above YMMV.Back when I got my first glimpse of Bob's Burgers (it was on [adult swim] right after an episode of Dragon Ball Super), I distinctly remember seeing Bob dancing in the intro. A few years later, I started actually watching the show and the actual intro doesn't have that in there.
At one point, I also misremembered Ukelele Pichu as being an event mon in Pokemon Heart Gold And Soul Silver (probably because the same games had a shiny Pichu and the spiky-eared Pichu as events), as opposed to the starter in Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs.
He/they | Mostly here on my free daysSomething really weird with the original Power Rangers season. I remember some kind of armored blue ranger, akin to the concept of the Green Ranger having armor. Called the "Cool Blue Ranger".
Never really figured out why I had that weird memory. Besides sounding "cool" when you're very young, if you will.
Apparently New Powers as the Plot Demands does not end with "It".
I remember Courage having a long black tail instead of a stubby purple one.
Check out my forum game: Rate the above YMMV.I thought in high school, we’ve watched Schindler's List when we learned about the Holocaust, but it turned out to be The Pianist
It's Over Anakin, I have the high ground! There is a 10-second video that features a Mario version of a certain Punch-Out!! meme, which is followed by Connecticut Public Television and Nickelodeon logos. The Mario part features a snippet of the song "Double Team" by Tenacious D that features the phrase "sexy ass".
After I first saw this video (or at least the beginning) as a kid, I misremembered the first part as Mario angrily saying something to Luigi that included the word "ass" but got cut off after that. (Luigi isn’t even in this video; I must have mistaken Yoshi for Luigi.) I think I also misremembered it as having animation like a TV cartoon instead of a video game. I also thought that the Mario scene got cut off by a Wall of Text.
UPDATE: The video got deleted from YouTube, so I reuploaded the video to the Internet Archive and replaced the link.

Are we human, or are we dancer?I keep thinking the dinosaurs in Prehysteria talked ike humans when in actuality they just made animal sounds.
Admittedly I never seen any of them, just seen the VHS covers.
In the Seinfeld episode "The Chinese Restaurant", Elaine is dared to grab and eat a roll off another group's table for $50. In my memories she actually did it, but in the actual episode she tried to quietly bribe the people at the table to play along and it didn't work because they couldn't understand. I also pictured the scene taking place outside a restaurant, where there's outdoor seating, whereas, since it's a Bottle Episode, they are waiting inside. I'm half convinced there was some other show or movie that did it as an homage to Seinfeld but decided to change it a little.
