Grosse Pointe Blank. I liked it.
Hey.The Spongebob Movie Sponge On The Run
A Poorly Disguised Pilot for Kamp Koral, this film proves why Franchise Zombies are regarded as such. It has no idea what it actually wants to be about, recycles plots from episodes all over the series and the first movie without any genuine twists to make it stand out, the celebrity cameos are extremely shoe-horned for the sake of having them in the film. The retcons to Spongebob's backstory are awful and ignoring outright shown moments of Season 1 is just saddening to see. The film itself tries to have its cake of heartwarming moments, but the sheer fact that many of them are blatant commercials for Kamp Koral kill that off along with the Narm factor of many of them. Poseidon is a massive downgrade over Burgerbeard, he fails to be compelling and has not much going for him beyond having a really dumb redemption. That said, the film manages to be really fun in various scenes, Keanu Reeves did decently compared to all the other guest stars and Gary's and Spongebob's relationship is kind of sweet to look at... If muddled by how quickly the plot shifts away from Gary.
Overall 2/10. If you like extended episodes, this is a good watch for some laughs. Otherwise, don't expect anything good out of this.
"Bingo! If two species hate each other, they will wipe each other out on their own."The Vanished. It's a new-ish movie about a couple who just lost their daughter. It's a goddamn delusional M. Night Shyamalan fever dream. They lost their daughter several years before this and have been delusional about her still being alive ever since. Oh, and they kill lots more people than you'd expect. Overall, it is absolutely unbelievable, 2/10, this movie's excellent riffing material if nothing else.
It's been 3000 years…Carlito's Way. I thought it was good.
Hey.Get Out (2017). Awards season talk had already spoiled the twist for me, so it was fun catching all the foreshadowing. Still a great film.
Lockout. Absolutely terrible but also Joe Gilgun was shirtless almost the whole movie for some reason that wasn't explained, which my bisexual ass considers a plus.
Yes I did just watch it for Joe Gilgun.
Stand up against pinkwashing, don't fall for propogandaThe Emerald Forest. It's just as good as my older brother said it is. :)
I like to keep my audience riveted.Bee Movie. It's even funnier than when I was a kid due to all the memes that have come out since then.

It's been 3000 years…Despite having Totoro on the first page of my gallery... I've never actually watched My Neighbor Totoro until last night. And I've gotta say... it was overrated.
It's a really charming and whimsical film, and it looks great as most Studio Ghibli films are. It's really emotional too, my heart actually sank when it looked like Mei drowned. But with that said (I'm gonna get beaten up for saying this), it's kinda overrated. It leaves a lot of questions unanswered, like the point of the soot gremlins, who don't impact the story at all apart from Mei, Satsuki and their dad laughing to make them go away, and the point of the house crumbling, which is never alluded to after being established. There's also Totoro himself, who's adorable but (despite being the film's NAMESAKE) doesn't really play that major of a role. Also the girl in the poster doesn't appear in the film itself (they look too old to be Mei and too young to be Satsuki), which really bugs me.
Overall, a good film, but I was left kinda disappointed (especially comparing it to the other two Ghibli films I've watched, Ponyo and Spirited Away). I'm giving it a solid 7/10.

i think i’m in love (probably just hungry)I finally got around to watching The Terminator. It's just as excellent as people say it is.
I like to keep my audience riveted. The Nightmare Before Christmas.
I had such a good time with it, the art direction is phenomenal and the set pieces are super creative. The songs were joys to listen to and the narrative makes great use of show don't tell. I do question Sally's relationship with her father, this conflict never goes anywhere. The message of wanting to become more than what you are feels weird, there's no understanding on how to improve your passion. Still a treat that holds up to this day.
8/10
Can't tell if this is the very last movie I watched but I did only watch it for the first time recently via Netflix.
I enjoyed it mostly, liked the concept going on, though I wasn't expecting that many songs but they were pretty good. I liked it most during the musical number that provided the perspective as to why the Yetis had to live on lies. The conflict of the entire theme of the movie felt most intense here.
However, I think the movie should've ended after the Yetis come to understand why their ancestors did what they did, and promising to learn how to communicate better amongst themselves. note
I rate it a 6.9/10
Creepypasta cleanup got two major pages for JTK and SlenderEternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Oh my God, this film is amazing. I love the surrealness of it and it's just so damn good.
“We’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.” - Lewis CarrollI would by far agree for Blade Runner 2049. In my opinion, one of the few sequels that actually improved on an already great movie.
she/her/they | wall | sandboxI recently rewatched the Jackie Chan version of Around the World in 80 Days. It's still the good fun I remember it being. :)
I like to keep my audience riveted.Being John Malkovich. So good but what the actual fuck did I just watch?
“We’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.” - Lewis CarrollDuck Soup. Funny stuff.
Hey.Prancer. It's an okay Christmas movie, even if it's not my favorite.
Even when your hope is gone, move along, move along just to make it throughLast two movies I watched were Saw VI and Bride Wars.
I needed to watch a lighthearted comedy and take a break off the horror stuff for a while.

"This kimono is perfect for the Hisui-themed festival, right?" - CynthiaJumanji: The Next Level. Like the previous movie, I really enjoyed how well the filmmakers managed to recreate the feel of an old game for the SNES or Mega Drive.
Soul. Pete Docter knocked it out of the park again; it has interesting worldbuilding and character dynamics and certainly played with my expectations. As a jazz fan, I could also relate somewhat. Easy 5/5.

It's a Wonderful Life. Probably one of the best films ever. I love how it's not just a piece of feel-good piffle — it's also a story about frustration, loss, and unrealized dreams. And about how, at the end of the day, no man is a failure who has friends.
Trimming the hedges, one trope at a time.Return of the King
Aquaman
Corny at best, cringe at worst. I really liked this take on Arthur Curry, nonchalant but blunt, you could tell Jason Momoa was having a great time. That said, this incarnation being raised as a human, the few deaths he caused are very questionable. The CGI ranged from gorgeous to ugly noticeable. The pacing was all over the place with inconsistent and unfitting tones. Parts of the narrative structure were missing causing scenes to transition poorly from one to another. It came off as super forced with these scenes lacking buildup or contrast with what was happening at the moment. Despite me looking down upon this bombastic and nonsensical film, I really enjoyed myself.
