iDubbbzTV is a YouTube channel run by Ian Jomhanote . In its rise to fame, the channel was known for its comedy series, which included a surreal, off-color, insult-based, and more often than not gross-out style of humor. He has since moved on to ventures including boxing and documentary filmmaking.

In the channel's rise to fame, Ian was known for several different shows:

  • Content Cop, where he critiques certain YouTube channels and creators
  • Kickstarter Crap, where he similarly critiques Kickstarter campaigns
  • Where are they NOW?, where he takes a look at a project in a previous Kickstarter Crap episode, orders the product to see how it turned out, and finds out what happened to the creators
  • Bad Unboxings, where he opens up bizarre fan mail he has received

In 2022, Ian announced Creator Clash, a social media influencer boxing charity event involving 18 different online figures, including Michael Reeves, Egoraptor, Internet Comment Etiquette, TheOdd1sOut, and Doctor Mike, the lattermost of whom fought Ian in the event's headlining fight (and eventually won). The event was partially inspired by YouTuber RiceGum (a past Content Cop subject) challenging Ian to a fight and backing down, as well as Ian's dissatisfaction with influencer boxing matches (particularly due to the kayfabe and unsportsmanlike conduct involved). The event involved real boxing judges and referees, and Ian hired boxing coaches for all of the participating creators. Over 100,000 PPV buys were reportedly sold; a full VOD of the event livestream can be found here. The following year, a second Creator Clash event was held, with Ian fighting YouTuber Alex Wassabi in the main event (and losing via unanimous decision). Although the event sold 50,000 PPV buys, it reportedly lost $250,000, meaning that no money actually went to charity as a result of the event.

Ian's channel was also part of the "Shrimpson Boys", a YouTube supergroup that also included Filthy Frank, MaxMoeFoe, HowToBasic, and Dolan Dark and was known for engaging in crass and oft-dangerous activities on each other's channels.

Ian has also created two secondary channels: iDubbbzTV2, originally meant for extra material from his main channel but now hosting the Save the Squirrels Initiative docu-series, wherein Ian embarks on a journey to find all squirrel species on Earth; and iDubbbzgames, which was dedicated to content of Ian playing different types of games that has not been updated in 4 years. Any tropes relating to these channels should be posted here.

Tropes about iDubbbzTV:

  • Absurdly Spacious Sewer: Has done several skits inside of a large storm drain, like doing a food review on pickles, hunting and eating pickles stuck in the walls, and fighting "Keemstar" in a pile of popcorn and blood.
  • Added Alliterative Appeal: Ian is a big fan of alliteration.
    • Most of his series are alliterated. Kickstarter Crap, Content Cop and (kind of) Bad Unboxing.
    • In his earlier videos he had a Running Gag of ending them with and ad-libbed alliteration.
Ian: Thank you so much for watching everyone, and remember to tune in next time when I flounder in flatulence.
  • Accent Slip-Up: Ian's southern drawl is noticeable whenever he gets excited.
  • Appropriated Appellation: The Fan Community Nickname "Niggerfaggots" comes from an angry video a YouTuber addressed to him for outing their Kickstarter project as a fraud on Kickstarter Crap.
  • Catchphrase: He's said "What are you, fucking gay?" on multiple occasions. Usually on his "Content Cop" videos.
  • Country Matters: He says this word a lot, which isn't too strange considering he's friends with a bunch of Australians and flies over there to film, specifically Western Australia. He also uses it in his Content Cop of Tana Mongeau as an example of a word that initially sounds awful but loses its meaning and impact over time through desensitization.
  • Fan Hater: His Content Cop on Jinx dips into this, as he blames the man's fans for supporting his content just as much as he blames Jinx himself. It culminates in the caption "If you like this, jump off a bridge" plastered onscreen as Ian struggles to get through Jinx's "Rihanna Interview."
  • Gasshole: He burps a lot, usually to punctuate a joke or because something he ate during a Bad Unboxing made him nauseous.
  • Made of Iron: In Creator Clash. He took by and far the largest beating by probably the strongest boxer in the tournament, and even though his face got covered in blood and he earned two shiners, he was still one of the only two who lasted the whole five (albeit two minute) rounds and lost by unanimous decision instead of TKO.
  • Mêlée à Trois: How the huge "YouTube drama" between himself, Keemstar and Leafy turned out, helped because Ian successfully pit the two against one another and humiliated them both in the process.
  • Nausea Fuel: In-Universe example. He wouldn't eat a lollipop with a scorpion in it, and he vomits after smelling Surstromming.
  • N-Word Privileges: He averts this, and while he'll bring up other YouTubers doing the same on Content Cop, he won't judge them for that... unless, as with the case of Tana Mongeau, they also judge him over it first.
  • Ooh, Me Accent's Slipping: His biological Southern drawl slips out at times.
  • Orphaned Series: what's in the box was cancelled after two episodes when it was presumably meant to have twelve.
    • To date, there is only one episode of Kickstarter Cool. But since it's essentially the exact same thing as Kickstarter Crap and almost entirely meant as a joke, it's probably intentional.
  • Running Gag: Several throughout his shows:
  • This Is Gonna Suck: In the video Coolest Cooler - Where are they NOW?, Ian is... Unenthused to view his older videos.
Current Ian: Now we're gonna watch my video and see if my criticisms hold up to the test of time.
    Old Ian: Hello everybody-
    Current Ian: Fuck.
  • Vomit Indiscretion Shot: In the "Bad Unboxing video "Crab Love", one packagenote  caused him to actually vomit due to how disgusting it was (thankfully, it was pixellated, but still).
    • He also vomited a little in his Surströmming in the "I LOVE SWEDISH CULTURE" video, which remained uncensored.
  • What the Hell Is That Accent?: His "foreign" accent, which sounds like a mix of multiple European languages combined into an extremely odd mess, not to mention the fact that he has used the accent to imitate people from Egypt to central Europe.
    • His natural accent, which he tried to hide until his more recent videos counts as well. He has a serious mix of various Southern-Western accents, which also affects his speech patterns. He has a notable drawl, but has subtle traces of a Surfer Dude accent, but has a hillbilly accent infliction. The result is an inconsistent twang, and he speaks slowly with his drawl, only for the drawl to go away.
    Ah have osteoporosis!

iDubbbz as a southern cornhead

iDubbbz eats corn on the cob the southern way and also stops hiding his accent while wearing a country cap backwards.
