“Dearest Mamo-chan, please forgive me. I allowed a man other than you, my beloved, into my home. Even worse, mom and dad are out so now I'm all alone with him in my room! YES I KNOW, IT'S VERY VERY BAD! But don't worry, your Usako isn't that easy.”
Usagi Tsukino

Usagi ends up having to stay home alone with Chibi Chibi while her family goes out for the night. And fearful over the recent string of burglaries, she invites Seiya over to keep her company. But their small get-together soon becomes an unprecedented house party due to the arrival of some Interrupting Inners, two trespassing teen idols, out-of-nowhere Outers, a hungry host and an attack by animus Animamates.

Tropes in this episode include:

  • Adaptational Context Change: In the original version, Sailor Uranus asked Sailor Moon how many unit sizes her living room was with Moon giving a solid answer. In the Viz Dub, Uranus comments that the room is rather small while Moon admits that she never considered how small it really was.
  • All Men Are Perverts: Discussed lightly. The p-word isn't mentioned but Luna warns Usagi that men will inevitably act on instinct and try to take advantage of any girl they come across.
  • As You Know: Usagi's friends start the episode warning her about a recent outbreak of home invasions. One of which threatened an old lady with a knife.
  • Bait-and-Switch: When the Outer Guardians make their grand entrance, Siren looks on utterly horrified.
Sailor Aluminum Siren: I don't believe this!
Sailor Lead Crow: That's right you, you tell them!
Sailor Aluminum Siren: You're wearing your shoes on the table!
  • Book Ends: The story starts with the girls talking about a string of burglaries happening in the area. Near the end, they assume that the burglar has appeared but are surprised to see that it's just Chibi Chibi.
  • Brick Joke: The two cakes that Usagi initially offered to Seiya are eaten up by Chibi Chibi at the episode's end.
  • Call-Back: Sailor Moon brings back "Moon Tiara Action" only with a pizza instead of a tiara.
  • Comically Missing the Point: Siren informs Crow that people on Earth would refer to her as an "airhead". She considers it to be a cute compliment.
  • Continuity Nod:
    • Seiya appears before the Inners wearing his football uniform.
    • The girls wear their cute aprons from the SuperS Movie.
    • Haruka and Seiya are still hostile with each other.
  • Contrived Coincidence: Happens some times over the course of the episode:
    • The fan belt to Haruka's car breaks in the same vicinity as Usagi's house, giving her and Michiru incentive to pop in for a visit.
    • A TV host that has a show about dinners at random people's houses shows up at Usagi's house precisely in that same night.
    • Aluminum Siren and Lead Crow decide to attack said TV host while he is at Usagi's house.
  • Covert Pervert: When Seiya walks around half nude, Usagi has her eyes covered while Rei, Minako and Makoto stare on in wonder. Ami also has her eyes "covered' but just enough so she can peek.
  • Does Not Like Men:
    • Usagi sums up Luna warning her about men acting on instinct as her not like them.
    • Subverted with Haruka. When Usagi brings up that she doesn't like men, Michiru clarifies that she doesn't like popular men in particular.
  • Driven by Envy: Seiya purposefully puts down Usagi and Mamoru's photo while in her room.
Seiya (to Mamoru): You can't keep a girl waiting forever.
  • Even Bad Women Love Their Mamas: Siren tells Crow that her mommy taught her that she'll never be a respectable adult if she doesn't practice good manners.
  • Failed a Spot Check: Usagi assumed that Chibi Chibi went with her family for the night and didn't realize it until she popped in to throw cake at Seiya.
  • The Gadfly: Michiru is in top trolling form the moment she enters Usagi's house with Haruka, who then sees Seiya and the two start exchanging death glares.
Michiru: It's true, I'm not bored!
    • Michiru casually reveals that Haruka doesn't hate men. She hates popular men. As in, men who have better luck with the ladies then she does.
Usagi: I heard that Haruka doesn't like men.
      Chibi-Chibi: Doesn't like men!
Yaten: Oh, so that's the reason.
      Haruka: Don't listen to her.
Michiru: Haruka doesn't like popular men.
The Inner Senshi: That makes sense!
Haruka: No, it doesn't make sense!
  • I'm a Humanitarian: Sailor Sommelier tries to take a literal bite out of Minako, labeling her as an appetizer.
  • Imagine Spot: Luna imagines a police dog man watching over a happy sheep only to turn into a hungry werewolf who gobbles her up. All of this is a metaphor for Seiya taking advantage of Usagi during his upcoming visit.
  • Impractically Fancy Outfit: Played for Laughs. Eternal Sailor Moon's wings accidentally cause her to knock several dishes on the floor. Even while doing her In the Name of the Moon speech, her wings can be heard breaking more dishes.
  • Improbable Weapon User: Usagi ends up defeating the Phage using a frozen pizza for her Moon Tiara Boomerang.
  • Internal Reveal: Usagi learns that Seiya and his friends are after a single person and have dedicated their performances to her.
  • Locked Out of the Fight: Minako is the only one who doesn't participate in the battle since she was busy entertaining Jun Godai and is later pinned to the wall with invisible restraints by Sailor Lead Crow.
  • Missed Him by That Much: Probably one of the most egregious examples of this in the entire series. Sailor Aluminum Siren and Sailor Lead Crow get into Usagi's house, that is crowded with people with real star seeds, but instead of targeting any of them, they only go for Jun Godai, who has a blank star seed.
  • Mistaken for Cheating: The Inner Girls showed up expecting to see some action between Usagi and Seiya despite the former being spoken for. But those ideas are heightened when they see Seiya in nothing but a towel.
  • Mr. Fanservice: Seiya is shown taking a shower and walks out in nothing but a Modesty Towel. And if that wasn't enough, the towel is almost taken from him by an upset Chibi Chibi.
  • Never My Fault: Siren justifies herself "not getting anything together" by saying that her and Crow targeting Jun Godai was all her idea.
  • No-Sell: Sailor Sommelier completely absorbs "Deep Submerge" using his magic bottle.
  • One Dialogue, Two Conversations: While alone in her bedroom, Seiya tries to confess something deep and personal to Usagi. While Usagi and Luna believe he's trying to make a move on her, Seiya was actually trying to confess his secret life as a Magical Girl Warrior.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: While Uranus and Neptune are known for keeping a brilliant and elegant demeanor when fighting evil, they turn into blushing messes when Siren chastises them for standing on the dining table.
Sailor Uranus: Oh uh... we didn't realize...
    Sailor Neptune: We're sorry.
  • Role-Ending Misdemeanor: In-Universe. Yaten and Taiki express concern of being spotted in Usagi's house as that could spark a potential scandal that can ruin their careers.
  • Secret-Keeper: Rei manages to stop Usagi from transforming in the bathroom due to Yaten being present.
  • Suspiciously Specific Denial: Minako tries to convince Usagi to let them in her home so they can keep her company and not under the assumption that she and Seiya would do anything inappropriate.
  • Tranquil Fury: Ami tears apart an innocent carrot while calmly telling the girls that they won't tell Mamoru over what almost happened between Usagi and Seiya.
  • Troubling Unchildlike Behavior: While the girls are panicking over a bug, Chibi Chibi is in the living room alone watching a racist R-rated movie.
  • We Need a Distraction: Usagi assigns Minako to distract Jun Godai and his party posse while she and the others help the Three Lights hide in her house before they're spotted.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: The Inner Guardians, the defenders of Earth who've faced monsters, villains and apocalyptic events on a regular basis, are petrified by the intrusion of a single cockroach.
