La Resistance is a Animaniacs Fan Fiction that includes Looney Tunes, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and Tiny Toon Adventures by Ihc.

This fic delves into the unsettling implications of toons being immortal Reality Warpers along with a ton of Worldbuilding and Toon Physics included. Tell me, how do you think humanity would generally handles that situation? Please- let me introduce you to Fantastic Racism.

When a mysterious terrorist group begins murdering toons, the stars of Animaniacs and Tiny Toon Adventures are drawn into a desperate bid to find the killers and stop them before they become the next targets. But with the murderers working to perfect a secret weapon even more dangerous than Dip, the fate of all Toonkind could be at stake!

This story contains examples of the following tropes:

  • Achilles' Heel: The toons well-known kryptonite Dip. It's extremely deadly to them and even if a little bit touches them it can be extraordinary painful. It was created by the government unbeknownst to most of the public after Bugs little stunt during World War II. They panicked until they developed Dip, something to effectively kill toons if they decide it's necessary.
  • Adaptational Angst Upgrade: Yeah... it's guaranteed since before the Looney Tunes cast which tended to deal mainly with comedy and slapstick quickly turns a lot more grim when they're fighting a reality where toons reality warping abilities are seen as a lot more dangerous to humans since it can be lethal to them, Fantastic Racism that goes along with it, and a terrorists group that's hellbent on genocide all toons.
  • Alliterative Name: Wendy Weasel and Riley Raccoon.
  • And I Must Scream: Defied when the Warner siblings were trapped in the water tower. They never lost hope that they'd find a way out to escape their fate all the while honing and perfecting their abilities. Eventually, they broke out themselves but it should be noted that they were more effected by their imprisonment then they let on.
  • Beware the Nice Ones:
    • Bugs Bunny, believe it or not. He's a all around nice guy but you do not want to get on his bad side. He's one of the most powerful, well known toons in toon history and he's most specifically remembered for the stunt he pulled towards the Imperial Japanese Navy. Toons were forbidden to join the army and back then during World War II, they weren't too happy about that. So, when a bunch of guys Bug's knew got killed in Guadalcanal, he kind of lost it. Whatever happened, there was at least a dozen ships that got twisted together into some sort of modern art piece and according to the American Navy no one was found alive on the island. That means Bug's must have killed at least a few thousand people.
    • The three Warner siblings are another good example. They're mischievous, cheerful, and full of boundless energy, sure. But you do NOT want to get them angry. Plotz quickly learns this when he actually manages to push one of their berserk buttons and the result is... rather terrifying.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Peter Possum saves Dot from being sprayed with Dip.
  • Crossover: Characters from Animaniacs, Tiny Toon Adventures and Looney Tunes all appear in the story. Characters from Who Framed Roger Rabbit also make an appearance.
  • Dark Fic: The story is more mature than Animaniacs and Tiny Toons ever were in canon.
  • Demoted to Extra: Shirley, Fifi and Hamton are all present downstairs with the Warners during the meeting. But they don’t contribute to the plot.
  • Determinator: The Warner siblings definitely deserve to be called this after receiving a Fate Worse than Death trapped in a locked box. They never gave up and always looked for a way out and improved on their Toon Physics abilities. They were able to keep it up for 60 years and then they're hard work payed off and they were finally able to break out of the water tower.
  • Driven to Madness: Defied as we hear from Word of God saying how it's a true testimony to the siblings ability in how incredibly strong both physically and emotionally they must be in order to come out of that situation without losing their sanity and she's right. Even the best of people will find it increasingly difficult not going insane after being locked in isolation by the studio that created them.
  • Fantastic Racism: The members of the Human Resistance hate Toons.
  • Friendly Rivalry: Between Bugs and Daffy, of course. This is especially seen when right before fighting in a war against the Human Resistance Bugs and Daffy launched a bet that if one of them died then the other has the honor of dancing on their grave.
  • Gilded Cage: That's what how the Warner siblings felt about the water tower after the Warner company sealed the three kids in there when they turned out to be too powerful and unruly to properly control them. That was considered shady even in the 30's when toons barely had any rights.
  • Hammerspace: All Toons have this.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Peter Possum.
  • Mama Bear: Slappy straight up murders the Human Resistance members who tried to use Dip on Skippy.
  • Mean Character, Nice Actor: As we all know from the show is how much Brain wants to take over the world, but according to Calamity, the mouse is seemed rather pacifistic to him outside the show. After all, he was competent enough that the only way for numerous failed attempts at world domination to have not left a trail of bodies was if he was intentionally avoiding killing people. He was even willing to create security alarms for toons in case the Human Resistance tried to kill them.
  • Minor Living Alone: Downplayed - Calamity's parents are divorced and he lives with his father, but his father's job as an engineer on offshore oil rigs requires him to be out of the country eleven months of the year, so Calamity is on his own during that time.
  • Mistaken for Racist: When Slappy mentions that Sid the Squid invited his relatives from Mexico to America, Skippy is concerned that she called them "barbaric", until she explains that she was talking about Humboldt squid.
  • Power Nullifier: There are plastic bracelets that work on a similar principle to products like Escape-Proof Rope that suppresses all the toons physics they possess. Something Calamity and Furrball can attest to much to their frustration.
  • Rascally Raccoon: Riley Raccoon.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Dot makes her eyes glow red in order to intimidate the men who attacked her.
  • Sealed Badass in a Can: Unfortunately, the studio does this to the Warner siblings by locking them in the water tower unbeknownst of the general public. Back then, Toon Physics weren't really understood well and they barely had any rights of their own. So, when the siblings were accidentally created, they were so powerful using toon abilites they've never even seen before, and not properly following their scripts, the company couldn't control them. They couldn't get rid of them either because they didn't want other companies making money off of them, so the studio solution was to lock them someplace where they'd never escape again. Thankfully, they learned how to break the seals and left the tower.
  • Secret Test of Character: The Warner siblings completely disappear for a week as a test to see if anyone would try to seal them back in the tower after blowing up in a important meeting since learning that the Human Resistance killed hundreds of toons in a terrorist attack. It also didn't help when Plotz kept provoking the three by pressing repeatedly on their hidden Berserk Button. Thankfully the thought didn't even occur to them and they came back a week later.
  • Shout-Out: Kenny mentions The Terminator when trying to explain the purpose of his group.
  • Suddenly Voiced: In a manner of speaking - both Furball and Calamity are able to speak intelligibly in this story.
  • Tailor-Made Prison: Something the studio created for Yakko, Wakko, and Dot when they became too much for the company to handle. They researched for a year untill they finally created seals that locked the siblings in the water tower. The water tower turned out to be a Hammerspace that nullified them from using their toon abilites from exiting the place.
  • Taking the Bullet: Riley pushes Wendy out of the way of a Dip-filled grenade, causing him to get covered with Dip instead of her.
  • Toon Physics: That's a given considering this is a Animaniacs fanfic. But it serves to be noted that the author goes into great detail describing how they work, what they're called, the difficulty level of using some of their toon abilities, and what exactly they do.
  • Two Guys and a Girl: Yakko, Wakko, and Dot, duh. They're powerful enough of their own but when together, they're a force of nature.
  • Wicked Weasel: Wendy Weasel works for the Human Resistance. Subverted when she undergoes a Heel–Face Turn.
  • Would Hurt a Child: The Human Resistance is perfectly willing to use Dip on Toons who are barely more than children. Also, the people at the underground warehouse where the resistance is located see no problems with torturing Calamity and Furball.
