Judy Valerie Cornwell, (22 February 1940), is a British actress best known for playing Daisy in Keeping Up Appearances.
While born in England, she spent her childhood living in Australia. Later, she returned to England in her teens, working as a dancer and comedian.
She made a few appearances in films, most notably playing Anya Claus in Santa Claus: The Movie. On TV, she made early appearances in episodes of Dixon of Dock Green and Coronation Street in The '60s. In 1974 and '75, she starred as Daphne Pegg in Moody and Pegg alongside Derek Waring.
In 1990, she was cast in her best-known role, that of Hyacinth's sister Daisy in Keeping Up Appearances. Cornwell appeared in all 44 episodes and reprised her role in the 1997 Clip Show The Memoirs of Hyacinth Bucket, alongside Geoffrey Hughes, who played her on-screen husband, Onslow.
Other than her work on film and TV, she has published a few novels and played Miss Marple in many stage productions.
