This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.
NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576I request that the following additions be made to the tropes list for The Fountainhead.
"Mentor Archetype: Henry Cameron serves as this to Howard Roark."
"Token Good Teammate: The Science Teacher and the Math Teacher at the Architectural School of the Stanton Institute of Technology. Those two teachers were mentioned by the Dean as advocating fiercely against Roark's expulsion."
Those need some context.
Done to here otherwise.
Main.Microsoft needs to be relocked; the Useful Notes needs to be perma redlinked as well.
No, that is not necessary at all.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanCan there be a section on the Fallen Creator page about Takashi Iisuka, current head of Sonic Team? I mean, he went from leading designer of the original Ni GHTS to director of Shadow. That's kinda hitting rock bottom.
Needs a lot more explanation...
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanOn the page Political Correctness Gone Mad, there is a commented-out ZCE about Tom Lehrer in the Literature folder (in addition to being a ZCE, it was appended to a literature example that the contributor thought was related but isn't really). It can be deleted, and here is a more complete description to go in the music folder:
- An Evening Wasted with Tom Lehrer: The song "It Makes a Fellow Proud to Be a Soldier" describes a variety of incompetent and inappropriate recruits Lehrer supposedly encountered during a stint in the Army. In the spoken introduction, he remarks:
One of the many fine things one has to admit is the way that the Army has carried the American democratic ideal to its logical conclusion, in the sense that not only do they prohibit discrimination on the grounds of race, creed, and color, but also on the grounds of ability.
Make Lifeline, which was cut for being a non-existent trope, into a disambig...:
- Lifelines. The Game Show mechanic that you use when you're REALLY stuck on a question.
- The video game, Operator's Side, which was called Lifeline in Japan.
- The mobile phone game series, Lifeline.
- The Star Trek: Voyager episode, Star Trek Voyager S 6 E 24 Life Line''

CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsOn Drunkard's Walk, can the Heather Alexander under Everything's Louder with Bagpipes be changed to Heather Alexander?
For the Moral Guardians page, I was wondering if this could count under the Real Life section, since it counts:
"In the late 2000s, Frubes (the Transatlantic Equivalent of tube yogurt brand Go-Gurt) aired some advertisements that featured anthropomorphized characters based on the yoghurts having their heads ripped-off by a child, followed by the tagline "Rip their heads off and suck their guts out!". These advertisements lasted until 2012, when parent groups in the UK protested online about how the motto could "scare children" (despite the fact that the Frubes characters did not show even a slight bit of gore). The motto was later changed to "Rip them open and suck them up!" later that year before the entire motto was discarded."
At Stephen King, please remove the "Books & Short Stories" heading and the entire Film Adaptations section.
Also, for the page header, please replace "his works" with "his Shared Universe"
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsAt Monster.Film A To E, please add a link to the title and remove the year from the The Black Room writeup.
EDIT: Fixed a link.

Done to here.
I wanted to add Worthy Opponent to Aerith's page because, as far as I'm aware, she's the only character Sephiroth acknowledges as a threat to his plans, and he puts them on hold to kill her.
Write up the example as you would like it on the page.
Worthy Opponent: As the last remaining Cetra, Aerith is the only character Sephiroth views as a threat to his plans. Notably, he stops just to kill her on his way to the northern crater. that still wasn't enough.
Situation Comedy: Make into redirect for Sitcom.
Listed as such, but not actually working.

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576Sitcom is the first result when searching for "situation comedy", so I'm not sure what the redirect would buy us.
(I would have also thought that the adjectival form, "situational" would be correct, but Google tells me that the noun clump is indeed standard.)
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Situation Comedy actually is already listed as a redirect for Sitcom. It's just not actually coded / written as such...
Really Long Word is already listed as a redirect for SesquipedalianLoquaciousness. It's just not actually coded / written as such...
Spy Tropes as a redirect for Espionage Tropes?
Main.Spy into:
- Espionage Tropes, tropes about spies or the process of spying, or that are endemic to Spy Fiction.
- The film.
If a direct wick has led you here, please correct the link so that it points to the corresponding article.

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576Can you add the examples below to the Word Cruft page?
- Gratuitous emoting: "[Insert Nightmare Fuel moment]. *shudder*" "[Tear Jerker moment]. *sniff*" "[Instance of Nausea Fuel in a work]. Eww." Do not add some reaction to a moment. It's Bad Writing, not necessary and most of all, annoying.
- Trying to tell somebody something: "[insert What An Idiot move done by [character]]. Way to go, [character]." "[some change in a work that was not liked]. Thanks, [company/person who created the work]." This is too similar to Natter, immature and also annoying. Comments like this should be left out.

Asking that these edits to Word Cruft not be added yet as their tone clashes with the current tone of thecpage.

On Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon the "Ultra Sun/Moon" and "Stars" in the Broken Base example need to be italicized.
