High School Fleet, episode 1. I thought this was going to be a simple Slice of Life with cute girls doing cute things. Simple was correct; Slice of Life is not. Yes, they're cute, but...

...,does operating literal warships sound like a cute thing to do?! This show sure as hell seemed like it!

These two may literally be more bark than bite, but they are no less tenacious than everyone else.

I dunno...? If they're the size of Battleship, then yes. Otherwise, giving emotionally-unstable kids control of nuclear-capable weapons... Shippuden Times has Evangelion flashbacks''.

Two wildly different questions, because they popped into my head at the same time:

How many of Philip K. Dick's short stories. novels, novellas, and prose have been adapted into other forms of media? 'Cause the only ones I can think of right now are Blade Runner from Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, Total Recall. both the original and remake from "We Can Remember It For You Wholesale", and Minority Report and A Scanner Darkly based on, well...

Second, without listing the name of the original troper who posted it, what's the worst example of bad grammar you've seen browsing this site?

Well, you have The Adjustment Bureau, The Man in the High Castle, and Screamers. That's all I can think of.

And the worst I've seen on the site is mostly negligible/understandable mistakes. Most likely from some members whose first language isn't English. Though that's my guess, it could very easily not be. Even then, like I said, it's not that big of a deal.

What villain from any of your favorite works do you think could win against the good guys if they were put into another work apart from their own?

Is not impressed.

For me, it will always and forever be Johnny Test. Say what you will about Teen Titans Go!, but at least that show is capable of some good laughs for all the faults it has.

The only thing I can think of that suffered from Genre Shift was Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. But on the other side of the coin, you can get games like LISA The Painful, Grand Theft Auto 3, and POSTAL 2.

David Cronenberg's film Dead Ringers often appears on lists of great movies, but I found it downright unwatchable. For the next day or so after watching it, I was left wondering why the filmmakers expected an audience might enjoy it. I couldn't figure out the point. Some time after watching it, I learned that it was supposed to be a psychological horror. The problem is that it relies heavily on characterization, and Cronenberg can't do characterization to save his life.

I can't think of any big life-changing examples off the top of my head, but I remember wanting to somersault forward to get to places faster for a while after playing through the beginning of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

My obsession fascination with Tiny and Big has gotten to the point where it actually has seeped into the other parts of my life; hell, I was randomly browsing this music store called Bleep.com a few days ago because I was feeling curious about Warp Records, and while I was scrolling through the site's newest and upcoming releases I immediately recognized one artist (Bryan Kessler, specifically) because he featured on a song that's on the game's soundtrack (which I also play on my radio show as incidental music).

I have a problem.

Anyway, have you heard of/played Nuclear Throne?

Right now, too many to count, but if I had to pick to between two, it'd be Skull Island and A Monster Calls, starring Liam Neeson as the titular monster.

Ever hear of Cartoon Network's Animated Anthology What A Cartoon! Show, which featured pilot shorts from animators like Butch Hartman, Craig McCracken, Seth McFarlane, Gennedy Taravostky, John Kricfaulsi, and others? Do you have a favorite short you remember seeing when it first aired or through searching on Youtube?
