Villains

    Sonic.OMT

Sonic.OMT / Outbreak Malware Threat (Dimension MP-2021)

Origin: Sonic.EXE: One More Saga by Mr. Pixel Productions

Replaces: Thanos (MCU) and Miles's Anxiety Manifestation

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/omt.png

A shapeshifting Eldritch Abomination that had once terrorised Mobius and is now destroyed as of the beginning of the story. He serves as the Big Bad of both One More Chance and My Last Trauma.

  • Confusion Fu: One of his favourite tactics, OMT's habit of decorating levels with his own numerous copies writhing around and sneering at you makes it difficult to tell which ones are simply set dressing, and which ones are going to attack, further adding to the oppressive atmosphere.
  • Eldritch Abomination: And how! Taking many cues from Gorefield, Sonic.OMT not only utilises the schtick of being a murderer, but is able to shapeshift into many eldritch appearances to stalk and kill his victims.
  • Hive Mind: Sonic.OMT stands out from several versions of the character by using this instead of simply teleporting around. There are immeasurable copies of him that vary from "freaky looking Sonic" to "enormous blue and peach serpent that has Sonic's face on it".
  • Killed Off for Real: OMT’s ultimate fate in the story’s prequel, meaning he couldn’t terrorise the world further. He finally meets this PROPER after My Last Trauma, when his trauma-inducing hold on OMT!Tails is crippled.
  • Multi-Armed and Dangerous: OMT's Super Mode sports this, as does his spider form, to hammer in just how dangerous he is in both states.
  • Power Limiter: While he is fully capable of doing practically ANYTHING within his world, he cannot do much within our world aside from leeching power or souls from within an electronic device such as a PC.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: Whilst he's barely talked about in the story, he's still the reason that OMT!Tails had to take up his Sonic's mantle, and he's directly responsible for Tails's 18-month-long nightmares.

    Eggman Nega

    Shadow Emerl (Unmarked Into spoilers)

Uma Arachnis / Shadow Emerl (Dimension MP-2021)

Origin: Sonic the Hedgehog (Archie Comics) (Uma); Sonic Battle (Shadow Emerl alias)

Replaces: Aaron Davis / The Prowler

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/uma_3.png

An arachnid ninja assigned by Eggman Nega to halt the movements of multiversal travellers in One More Hero, therefore serving as a prime antagonist in that story with a special robot suit.

  • Adaptation Origin Connection: Back in the comics, Uma and OMT!Tails barely knew one another prior to her being forced to work with Naugus. Here, though, she was a close friend of the kitsune before going onto her ninja work.
  • Adaptational Villainy: In his game of origin, Emerl doesn’t work with Eggman willingly, the doctor’s attempt to make him submit only granting him Power Born of Madness. Here, though, Uma using a suit based on the robot to be a part of the villains means she gets along with Eggman Nega just fine.
  • The Dreaded: Shadow Emerl gives Tails a LOT of trouble over the course of One More Hero, which kickstarts after he and Detective Ghost are forced to flee the first major encounter early in the film.
  • Gender Flip: Aaron Davis, and by extension the Prowler, is fully male in his appearances. Uma, however, who takes his role in this storyline, is a female character.

    Zeena

Zeena / Head Scientist Zeel Windward (Unknown Dimension)

Origin: Sonic Lost World

Replaces: Doctor Olivia Octavius / Doc-Ock (Spider-Verse)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/zeena.png
Click here to see her disguised appearance

A member of the now-scattered Deadly Six and the sole survivor of her crew.

  • Foil: Zeena serves as one to Amy Rouge, due to both striking high in the beauty field. Compared to Amy Rouge, however, who dislikes mass attention, Zeena is more than happy to bathe in it and her own villainy, which contrasts with Amy Rouge being firmly on the side of good.
  • Genuine Human Hide: If not for the suspiciously green shoes and traits of her appearance present (minus her horn and tail), one might assume Zeena really is human in her disguised look.
  • An Ice Person: During the initial escape from her, she wields lethal snowballs to lob at the heroes as a contrast to Doc-Ock's Combat Tentacles.

    Surge the Tenrec

Surge the Tenrec (Dimension IDW-2017)

Origin: Sonic the Hedgehog (IDW)

Replaces: Scorpion

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/surge_3.png

A creation of Dr. Starlight, still wanting to destroy Sonic. Given a new opportunity by Eggman Nega, she’s set loose on the OMT universe.

  • Berserk Button: The fact that there are MANY versions of Sonic, Tails and Amy out there. Seeing EX!Alice and realising that she reminds him of the trio is motivation enough to attack her brutally.
  • Revenge by Proxy: She’s against EX!Alice simply because of how much she reminds her of Amy Rose, almost as if she’s her prestige. And unfortunately for her, this isn’t the case.

    Johnny

Action Prologue's Antagonist

    Snively

Snively (Dimension CSA-2013)

Origin: Sonic the Hedgehog (SatAM)

Replaces: Adriano Tumino / Renaissance Vulture

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/snively_9.png

"I am Snively! The pinnacle of Robotropolis's genius! [...] Better question; what kind of world have I been dragged into?!"
—Snively's introduction

The mistreated underling of SatAM Robotnik, who later took over after his selfish boss’s demise. He serves as the primary antagonist of the Action Prologue prequel to the series’ main events.

  • Adaptational Skill: He is capable of using an Egg Mobile which can modify itself on the fly as the equivalent to Adriano’s jetpack and Hammerspace. Plus, he’s capable of being a threat who’s just as equal in action as he is talk, and has grown WELL past being Julian Robotnik’s Dragon.
  • Irony: The person who mistreated Toomes to the point of him becoming The Vulture was Norman Osborn, the Green Goblin. Snively, who had also been mistreated and takes the place of Tumino in Into, Across and Beyond!, wears green as his primary colour of choice.
  • Large Ham: Maintaining his voice from the show, alongside traits of Charlie Adler's work from Hero Factory, Snively definitely has traits of this, such as Laughing Mad often.
“Don’t celebrate too soon! [...] The forecast calls for showers. Hope you brought your umbrellas! LRZ Missiles!
  • Non-Standard Character Design: Whilst not shown in the mockups, it's stated that this Snively is from an alternate version of SatAM where everything's cell-shaded, as a swap for Renaissance Vulture being from a world based on Leonardo da Vinci.
  • The World Is Just Awesome: While trying to escape the art museum with three Sonics after him, he's briefly mesmerised by Dimension NS-2021's Station Square.

    Crimtake

Crimtake

Origin: SONIC Lost Drive (as Crimtake) / Sonic the Comic (civilian identity as Powerless Sonic)

Replaces: Johnathan Ohnn / The Spot

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/crimtake.png

An alternate version of Sonic.exe who favours REALLY mixing things up, and becomes something OMT can only dream of being.

  • Adaptational Abomination: Since he’s the swap-in for the Spot, alongside his normal abilities, he can also use those abilities and demented appearance as he pleases.
  • Adaptational Villainy: Compared to Ohnn, who became the Spot in his quest for validation, Crimtake is simply a pure monster to the core and has little redeeming qualities about him, even with the Denser and Wackier attributes he has in early points of Many More Heroes, thanks to Fleetway Sonic naturally being a Jerkass in his world of origin. It doesn’t help that Crimtake’s original form of the Chimera Virus has No Sympathy whatsoever.
  • Adaptational Wimp: In Many More Heroes, Crimtake never gets anywhere near as powerful as the Spot did, not even in the climax. It's ultimately justified due to him not having reached his full power by the time OMT!Tails and SS!Amy confront him for the last time, and they did so to prevent him from becoming a Cosmic Flaw like Spot.
  • Big Bad: Crimtake serves as this for Many More Heroes, planning to take advantage of LM!Sonic's desire to maintain "canon events" to fuel his goal to do what Dr. Finitevus couldn’t, and wipe out the entire universe. His plans to kill OMT!Cream and enforce a SECOND canon event for OMT!Tails motivates the kid to get after and stop the demon.
  • Cursed with Awesome: Crimtake ended up being infected by the Chimera Virus following the destruction of Eggman Nega’s multidimensional base, though got stronger from his base Powerless state and increased his strength as Many More Heroes went on.
  • Fatal Flaw: In the end, Crimtake’s major flaw is his belief that everybody is predictable. This is shown when OMT!Tails refuses to take the Chaos Emerald presented to him, and when Crimtake’s mockery of Trip only serves to infuriate SS!Amy and leads her to beat him down to an inch of his life.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: Whilst just a regular version of Sonic.exe with new tricks up his sleeve in his games of origin, Crimtake becomes an abomination even WORSE than OMT here and becomes a massive threat when compared to the other EXE entities.
  • Reference Overdosed: When Crimtake goes berserk and heavily glitchy at the end of his full first encounter with OMT!Tails, his body resembles numerous components; the eyes of Phaton, Fleetway Super Sonic and Moiraio, a glove resembling that of End, and one shoe identical to the colouring of both Sarah and Shalian's shoes.
  • Taking You with Me: Though he ends up being doomed to fall, he makes a last-ditch effort to pull this on OMT!Tails and SS!Amy, and though neither are badly injured, Crimtake does succeed in knocking the former into the rifts of the multiverse, some of his DNA unknowingly fusing with Tails’s.

    Gemerl (Unmarked Across spoilers)

Anti-Miles (Dimension ZONE-ANTI-1994)

Origin: Sonic the Hedgehog (Archie Comics)

Replaces: Miles G. Morales / Earth-42 Prowler

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/anti_miles.png

An alternate version of Tails from Moebius, who serves as a rival towards OMT!Tails when he shows up.

  • Adaptational Early Appearance: Anti-Miles shows up much earlier than Miles G. did, due to OMT!Tails accidentally winding up in Moebius during an early multiverse travel before Crimtake struck.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Albeit barely. When OMT!Tails returns to Moebius for the finale with SS!Amy, Anti-Miles does agree to help them by ensuring Crimtake won't get out of the Zone, albeit reluctantly in contrast to Alicia Acorn.
  • The Leader: of the Suppression Squad after Scourge was kicked out.

Tails of Trials Antagonists (ALL SPOILERS UNMARKED)

The True Villain

    Dr. EggOmega (MAJOR SPOILERS)

The Statue Guardians

    Sonic.EXE

Sonic.EXE (Dimension EXE-2013)

Origin: Sonic.exe (the original game by MY5TCrimson)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tumblr_6d22a9d18f6cdb6a4952727c5b11c22f_125be8d3_640_1.jpg
"I am what I have always been, the interdimensional entity that has brought thousands to its world of euphoria."

"What a fitting way to round off this little game. I never thought I'd see the day when a victim actually escapes my grasp for once, but alas, it was quite the fun little experience. Two fox children for the price of one, and they put up quite the fight for me. It's a shame that I won't be feeling a rush like this for a while again, but it doesn't mean I won't be coming back."
—Sonic.EXE after OMT!Tails and Nine have escaped his grasp

The true original Sonic.exe himself, serving as the fifth statue guardian that the Blur Gang has to get through to stop Dr. EggOmega's plans.

  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: The fourth wall might as well not even exist for Sonic.EXE, as not only is he fully aware of our presence reading the post he appears in, but he also actively lampshades the "childish obsession" fans are shown to have with him and his many iterations.
  • Graceful Loser: Though baffled by how OMT!Tails AND Nine are able to outpace him, he surprisingly takes his defeat in stride, reflecting that the fun was in the chase and not solely the catch. His finishing dialogue hints that there's something sinister in store for him, even without his original developer taking the reins.
  • Monster Progenitor: Though X naturally came before him, Sonic.EXE shamelessly admits that it was his game that allowed all the others to prosper, and that if it wasn't for him, not a single one of his future selves OR the other entities based off of him would ever have been. Yes, not even Exetior.

    Final Statue Guard

"End" / Green Mountain Sonic

Origin: Green Mountain

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tumblr_9711ba94d07d8eab22a9cbeed1525e6b_f5f83b1e_640.jpg
8-1-1

A rotting version of Sonic that had been following the Green Mountain trail for as long as it can remember.

  • And I Must Scream: Being forced to climb a mountain over and over to kill your old rotting self, only to rot away yourself, is not a positive purgatory to go through.
  • Mercy Kill: The way End meets his fate at OMT!Tails's hands, which was agreed on by them both to ensure that the curse of the mountain would finally come to an end.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: Though it doesn't have a very big role in Tails of Trials, End's release from suffering is able to shatter the final statue and finally give the Blur Gang the chance needed to go and take the fight directly to Dr. EggOmega.
  • The Voiceless: End doesn't speak almost at all, instead using gestures to get along what it's trying to say to OMT!Tails. It does speak after OMT!Tails puts it out of its misery, though, softly thanking him before being Killed Off for Real, the statue it guarded going with it.
  • Walking Spoiler: Talking about End's representation in Into, Across and Beyond! is impossible to do without discussing the major, if small, part it plays in the downfall of Dr. EggOmega.

Miscellaneous/Minor

    Captured Villains

Origin: Various

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/caught_crooks.png
Pictured: Sir Fuzzy-Logik and Game Gear Spinball Robotnik

Various other villains from different universes that were captured by the Quill Society.

  • Ascended Extra: Among the villains are obscure foes from the Sonic era, such as Dr. Qwark, a rival of AOSTH!Robotnik, and a surviving Sir Fuzzy-Logik from the doctor’s old line of robots.
  • The Cameo: A couple of the prisoners being held are from previous adaptations of certain games, such as Dr. Robotnik from Sonic Spinball’s Game Gear port, whose size dwarfs all the Quill Society members, even Sunky and Tlels.
  • Laughably Evil: The aforementioned small Robotnik isn’t taken seriously by anybody, not even those that are barely bigger than him.
  • Odd Name Out: One of the prisoners is dubbed "Type-egg", who's literally just ASCII text formed into the shape of a person.
    Type-egg: Go to Helvetica, Tails!
    OMT!Tails: Bold.

    Agent Blueballs

Agent Cam "Blueballs" Malicious (Earth-1249/Dimension FNF-TG-1249)

Origin: The Blueballs Incident; Funkinverse (this incarnation)

Replaces: Miguel O'Hara/Spider-Man 2099 (in Funkinverse)

In-universe casting: Jerry Jewell (Kusuo Saiki)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tumblr_f16c877cac2757b9482b1bcd516e1b48_89ae590c_500.jpg

"<Well, I've not as much reason to have to be here, considering your dimension does confine to the canon points and has remained stable. Surprisingly more so than I'd expect, considering some things had changed.> [...] <I was going to ask if you wanted to join my strike force. Help protect other dimensions from harm, and work alongside others like you. You can make so many new companions there, Benjamin, and I'll be there to keep you on the straight and narrow.>"
— Cam trying to convince Benjamin to join the Funkin' Society

A Boyfriend who once hunted down Trollges and now runs the Funkin' Society. He's confronted by Benjamin in one of the side-stories connected to Funkinverse.

For all tropes related to his Funkinverse appearance, go here. For anything related to his original appearance, meanwhile, go here.

  • Always a Bigger Fish: Though he attempts to capture Benjamin to forcefully recruit him into the Society, thinking he'd be the same easy pickings as Kenji, it doesn't take too long for him to be outmatched when Benjamin's ECHO ability comes into play to even out the fighting odds.
  • Art Shift: Cam resembles the same artstyle Benjamin has as a nod to the Medium-Shift Gag that Miguel had when stepping into Earth-67.
  • Don't You Dare Pity Me!: Cam refuses to listen to Benjamin's sympathy when he tries persuading the Fallen Hero to turn back from his path, stating that he has come too far to quit.
  • Faux Affably Evil: He starts out trying to ease Benjamin to a point where he might be recruit material to the Funkin' Society, seeing him as a fit by association of Kenji, but he drops his calm attitude when Benjamin continues to resist.
  • Glowing Eyes of Doom: Cam makes these known once he's truly been pissed off, like the Trollges before him, showing that he's no longer got qualms with murdering the young Replacement Goldfish.
  • History Repeats: His number two and the basis for his Wrong Assumption of Benjamin, Kenji, has a version of Pico who turned against him after he became a true villain in a dark retread of Soft Pico's path. Cam's actions against Benjamin ultimately end up earning the ire of the original Soft Pico, this time focused on himself.
  • Malicious Misnaming: After Benjamin refuses to join Cam and prepares to fight for it, the Agent has no qualms with citing him as another "anomaly" Boyfriend.
  • Nostalgia Filter: Cam's use of Kenji to profile Benjamin comes off as this, as Earth-13166 is based on a scrapped story that was replaced with the one forming Earth-16063. Holding the Boyfriend of this "past" version of the two Earths on a pedestal while having now lost the "new" Earth's Aloe to defection, Cam tries to force Kenji's outdated story onto Benjamin, who could not care less and has already done his own thing independent of any previous history. For bonus points, Benjamin himself is the replacement of someone from a previous universe, while Kenji outlived his replacement on Earth-16063.
  • Telepathy: Like in his mod of origin and Funkinverse, this is how Cam generally communicates with others, reflected by on-screen subtitles (in the post, represented by text in "<this style>") with a voiceover. He drops this in the post he's in, however, when Benjamin makes it clear twice that he won't be swayed by the Society's Cult-like actions.
  • Wrong Assumption: The only Society member who is both an angel and related to a famous idol singer is Kenji (who has the Earth-13166 variants of Kanata Amane and Towa Tokoyami as his cousin and younger sister-in-law respectively), leading Cam to wrongly assume Benjamin would fall in the same mold as Kenji — who, as a reminder, is practically glued to Boyfriend's original canon. This ends very poorly for him.

    The X (Unmarked spoilers)

Grimbo / The X

Origin: Funkinverse (in general); Vs Sonic.exe (as Grimbo); Sonic the Comic (civilian identity)

In-universe casting: Alex Hirsch (Bill Cipher)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/the_x.png

An entity that once looked like Xenophanes before transforming into a truly monstrous entity. He appears here as part of the Alternate Continuity entailed by IAB! for Funkinverse.

For all tropes related to his official appearance, go here.

  • Adaptational Wimp: The X isn't quite as powerful here as he is in Funkinverse. While he's still strong enough to slip up EV!Sonic, he's ultimately captured once he's overpowered by four of the Quill Society's members. In Funkinverse, he's a threat that needs the entire crew of -friends to stop. A comment from Pico DS ultimately confirms that The X's power level decreased quite a bit after his defeat in Funkinverse at the hands of the Funkin' Gang and their allies.
  • "Not So Different" Remark: He gives one out in the post he appears in, citing the Quill Society, the Funkin' Society and the Spider-Society as all the same, alongside the entire prospect of the Film Fic idea.
  • Villain of Another Story: The X's whole ordeal with the Quill Society (and his subsequent capture) is separate to the lead scenarios OMT!Tails and his team are doing.
  • You Don't Look Like You: The X's sprite design while in captivity, while maintaining his Red and Black and Evil All Over traits, lacks some of his signature features, like the shape-based quills. In-universe, it's explained as being a result of his powers being restrained by the Quill Society, and he's shown to complain about this.

Other characters

MP-2021 Allies

    OMT!Sonic

Maurice "Sonic" the Hedgehog (MP-2021)

Origin: Sonic.EXE: One More Saga

Replaces: Tony Stark/Iron Man + Peter Parker I

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/omtsonic.png

The original blue blur from the OMT universe, having given everything he had to give his friends and loved ones their future.

    OMT!Knuckles

Knuckles the Echidna (Dimension MP-2021)

Origin: Sonic.EXE: One More Saga

Replaces: Jefferson Morales

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/omtknuckles.png

The former guardian of the Master Emerald and OMT!Tails’s legal guardian in his universe, he has his own parts in helping Tails develop into a destined hero.

  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: In comparison to Jeff, who is Miles’s father in Spider-Verse, Knuckles serves as a legal guardian for Tails, since he’s not quite fully capable of living all alone.
  • It's Personal: Knuckles gets this in all of My Last Trauma during the mission to get rid of OMT for good and end his traumatic hold on OMT!Tails permanently.
  • You Are Better Than You Think You Are: Knuckles discourages Tails from un-personing himself alongside Amy and EV!Cream with this very approach in More than One Universe.

    OMT!Amy

Amy Rose (Dimension MP-2021)

Origin: Sonic.EXE: One More Saga

Replaces: Rio Morales

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/omtamy.png

The second legal guardian for OMT!Tails, who has been living with him, Knuckles and Cream following OMT!Sonic’s passing.

  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: Like Knuckles, Amy is a legal guardian for Tails while he finds his footing in life.
  • It's Personal: Amy gets this in all of My Last Trauma during the mission to get rid of OMT for good and end his traumatic hold on OMT!Tails permanently.
  • You Are Better Than You Think You Are: Amy discourages Tails from un-personing himself alongside Knuckles and EV!Cream with this very approach in More than One Universe.

    OMT!Sally

Sally Acorn (Dimension MP-2021)

Origin: Sonic.EXE: One More Saga

Replaces: MCU!Aunt May / Spider-Verse Mary Jane

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/omtsally.png

The adoptive big sister to OMT!Tails and former leader of the Freedom Fighters.

  • Back for the Finale: While still deceased, OMT!Sally does come right back for the big battle in My Last Trauma as a spirit, alongside Sonic, who both get some good hits in on OMT.
  • Killed Off for Real: After enduring a fatal attack from Richard, OMT!Sally dies for good in OMT!Tails' arms, deeply upsetting the kid.
  • Mama Bear: Sally is shown to strongly care for Tails’s wellbeing and has him stay over with her when the stress of his nightmares is shown to not be doing wonders for his health.
  • Shipper on Deck: After seeing all the hand-made plushies Tails made of his interdimensional friends, Sally is fully supportive of his feelings for OMT!Mina and offers her support for when she comes back in More than One Universe.
  • Targeted to Hurt the Hero: Her motive to encourage OMT!Tails to cure the captured villains in More than One Universe before they go back to their dimensions ends up getting her killed by a more-insane Richard when he loses control of himself.

    OMT!Cream

Cream the Rabbit and Cheese (Dimension MP-2021)

Origin: Sonic.EXE: One More Saga

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/omtcream.png

The OMT counterpart of Cream who is under the care of the rest of the once Team Sonic.

  • Happily Adopted: Cream is Tails’s little sister in the OMT universe, having been taken in by him after OMT's rampage came to a close.
  • Missing Mom: Cream’s mother, Vanilla, didn’t come back after she was Killed Off for Real in one of OMT’s loops. Because of this, when around alternate counterparts of her mom, she tries to spend as much time as she can with them.
  • Targeted to Hurt the Hero: Cream becomes this in Many More Heroes when Crimtake sets his sights on her, and worse still, LM!Sonic had scheduled for her to die as one of OMT!Tails’s “canon events” to heap up the kid’s grief further. Fortunately, this never comes to pass, and she gets into the Quill Society HQ all on her own, in turn saving her own life in the process.

    OMT!Robotnik

Dr. Ivo Robotnik (Dimension MP-2021)

Origin: Sonic.EXE: One More Saga

Replaces: MCU!Doctor Strange

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/omtrobotnik.png

The former villain who used to terrorise Mobius and now works in his lair part-time, having aimed to get a graduation at Balloon Park University.

  • Earn Your Happy Ending: As of More than One Universe’s ending, Robotnik got his graduation as a professor, to teach other students the knowledge he had learned over the years.
  • Fatal Flaw:
    • His initial tampering with dark forces was what had initially allowed Sonic.OMT to run amok in their world to begin with. He learns his lesson later on and makes sure to limit those actions from then on out.
    • The fact Robotnik didn’t check what his device was going to do before letting Tails use it is what kickstarted More than One Universe’s events to begin with. Errorverse Eggman scolds him on this issue, and he and Errorverse Tails manage to repair and upgrade the device to allow stable multiversal travel to and from the OMT universe.
  • Good Is Not Soft: Whilst in the interests of keeping the fabric of the OMT universe safe from collapsing, OMT!Robotnik is not below choosing to let the captured villains perish from going back without getting cured.
  • Never My Fault: For most of More than One Universe, he actively refuses to take responsibility for putting villains in OMT!Tails’s mind with the transport device, which led to the story’s events. He’s called out for this by OMT!Tails himself (who admits to some of the responsibility), OMT!Mina (who tells him to ask politely for their assistance) and Errorverse Eggman (who dislikes his Alternate Self’s refusal to accept the blame, even when Tails is considering making himself Unpersoned). It’s the lattermost that finally gets through to the doctor and fuels his decision to let the gang help in the finale.
  • Offscreen Moment of Awesome: The fact that Robotnik was able to capture TWO of the more dangerous villains off-screen, CR!Corrupt AND Sonath, deserves credit all on its own.

    OMT!Chuck and OMT!Rosie

Charles Hedgehog and Rosie Woodchuck (Dimension MP-2021)

Origin: Sonic the Hedgehog (SatAM)

Replaces: Spider-Verse Aunt May

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tumblr_452402f6c6f4cecbb525b440b80649ca_340dad7b_640.jpg

OMT!Sonic's uncle and OMT!Sally's grandmother who have lived together following the formermost's demise.

  • Adaptational Intelligence: Like Chuck, Rosie’s equally tech-savvy, more so than she’s usually portrayed, and has not only been able to keep her grandson-in-law’s base operational in the year following his death, but also gave Tails a much-needed upgrade to his nanomachine suit when he proved himself truly ready to be Mobius’s newest hero.
  • Alternate Self: Chuck happens to be one from the perspective of CR!Sonic. To Sonic, he’s a still-living version of his deceased uncle. To Chuck, Sonic’s an older, less-fit version of his deceased nephew.
  • Dead Alternate Counterpart: Chuck's counterpart from the Crossover Realm is deceased here.
  • Gadgeteer Genius: Chuck and Rosie really make good use of his tech skills to maintain their nephew/grandson-in-law’s secret base where he kept his variety of gloves, shoes and other important equipment.
  • Outliving One's Offspring: Chuck and Rosie raised their universe’s Sonic like a son, only for the hero to lose his life in an Heroic Sacrifice to kill OMT. And worse still, Rosie ended up outliving Sally, her own granddaughter, as well.
  • The Team Benefactor: Chuck is shown, alongside Rosie, to be the “Alfred” to OMT!Sonic’s “Batman”, harbouring the “Sonic-cave” under their shared home and knowing how to create upgrades for the nanomachine suit Nine manufactured for Tails. Given that OMT!Sonic got a lot of money from commercial endorsements prior to OMT’s attack, Chuck and Rosie have access to these funds and have helped finance Tails as he continued to take on the mantle as hero of Mobius.
  • Team Mom: When OMT!Tails, CR!Sonic, OMT!Mina and Mini Sonic seek shelter at her home, Rosie serves as the team’s caretaker.

    The Smiling Buddies

The Smiling Buddies (Dimension MP-2021)

Origin: Poppy Playtime (as the Smiling Critters)

The versions of the Smiling Critters from OMT!Tails's universe, all serving as his fellow classmates in Bumper High School.

For all tropes related to their original selves, go here.

Tropes for all

  • Adaptation Name Change: Each of the characters all have changes to their names to move a bit away from the A Dog Named "Dog" trope, some minor (like Hoppy's last name being shortened) to major (like CatNap's main name being entirely different).
  • Gender-Equal Ensemble: Just like their canon counterparts, there are four males (Daylight, Bubba, Kickroyale and Naksh) and four females (Picky, Hoppy, Crafty and Bobby).
  • Lighter and Softer: Due to lacking the Black Eyes of Evil their original counterparts had, they all appear much cuter in comparison, and due to co-existing with Sonic characters (down to inheriting Sonic-themed designs), none of them have associations with Playtime Co..

Tropes for Picky Patch the Pig (PigPatch)

  • Big Eater: Like her canon counterpart, she enjoys eating plenty of food, and is stated to enjoy lunchtimes at school.
  • Gluttonous Pig: Averted for Picky here; in IAB!, true to her name, she's more picky about the food she eats and tends to avoid more light snacks or fast food.

Tropes for Crafty "CraftyCorn" Canvas

  • Sensitive Artist: Just like her Playtime Co. version, Crafty finds it important to share her art to others and to appreciate everything around her.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: Though she isn't the most prominent character in One More Hero, her getting OMT!Tails to help with her petition against AI artwork serves as one of the major side-plots in that story, and once she gets the petition back, she can forward it on to make that difference.

Tropes for Bobby Hugster (Bobby Bearhug)

  • All-Loving Hero: She is stated to love everyone, no matter who they are, like her original counterpart. Unfortunately, this leaves her vulnerable to bullying from the likes of Benny, but thankfully, she has friends like Kickroyale and OMT!Tails to help her out.
  • Beary Friendly: Bobby remains as friendly as ever and has an eye out for her close friends.
  • First Friend: Bobby is the first classmate to help welcome OMT!Tails into Bumper High School's open week in One More Hero, which also allows her to comfort him when he's feeling down about what happened to Uma.

Tropes for Naksh (CatNap)

  • Adaptational Personality Change: Compared to his Sleepyhead self, Naksh is the most shy of the Smiling Buddies (more so than Crafty), to the point that he doesn't stick around much when the Blur Gang arrive in OMT!Tails's dorm.
  • Elective Mute: Naksh, as part of his shy nature, doesn't talk at all in points where he appears, only showing how he's feeling through facial emotions.
  • Other Me Annoys Me / Evil Me Scares Me: Naksh doesn't like either of his counterparts in the Poppy Playtime canon.

Sonic EX (EX-2022)

    Caffrin the Gamer Girl

Caffrin the Gamer Girl (Dimension EX-2022)

Origin: Sonic EX (AetherAsterisk's Sonic.exe take)

GAMER TIP: Hold (B) to charge up a Sure Shot. Ready... aim... FIRE!

"Can you really say you did the right thing like a hero would? Or was I so important to you that they meant nothing at all?"
—Caffrin's Armor-Piercing Question to Veronica

Xenophanes' little sidekick in Alice's universe, and a major antagonist in her path to salvation and stopping Xenophanes.

  • Adorable Abomination: The abomination side is especially prominent in Caffrin's Jade and Malachite forms, thanks to her having some of Xeno's blood in her body, though she looks cute as a button in her default form.
  • Arch-Enemy: Though Xenophanes is Alice's main target, Caffrin has been shown to give Alice the most trouble in her runs, always usually being the one behind her repeated failures.
  • Canon Discontinuity: The version of Caffrin presented in Into, Across and Beyond! in the backstories, especially concerning her redemption, is not canon to the plot officially detailed on Aether's Twitter posts.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Caff loved Veronica a lot as a big sister prior to being taken in by Xenophanes. It's this that motivated Veronica to go after her sister in Xeno's world, and the IAB! canon makes this the reason for Caff's Heel–Face Turn.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: Subverted for the most part. Though she has the right traits for it, and even fits the sidekick role for Sonic in the haunted game, she's really working for an Eldritch Abomination hellbent on claiming humanity for himself. In the IAB! canon, she double-subverts this thanks to Veronica, redeeming herself in order to put an end to Xeno's reign of terror.
  • She Is Not My Girlfriend: Though she and Xeno share a flat in the human world, there's no exact specification as to whether or not either of them are dating, but Xenophanes is fiercely overprotective if anyone tries to romantically advance on Caff.

    Veronica

Veronica (Dimension EX-2022)

Origin: Sonic EX (AetherAsterisk's Sonic.exe take)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gkq9_crxmaaficm_2.png

"Do you hear me, Xeno? I’m done playing games. I will find her, even if it kills me! I don’t care anymore if she’s dead or if you left her alive somehow. I want to see my little sister again."
—Veronica ready to get after Xenophanes

The older sister of Caffrin who had been acting a lot to get her little sister back from Xenophanes.

  • Action Duo: After finding Alice, Veronica and her make up this as they work together to bring down Xenophanes, whilst aiming to turn Caffrin's life around in the process.
  • The Determinator: Veronica was willing to go through hell and back to get Caffrin back, even if it meant willingly giving up her human life to get into Xenophanes' digital world to do so.
  • No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: As shown in one of the posts surrounding her, putting finding her little sister at the heart of her daily activities has not done wonders for her home life, as being unable to pay her taxes got her forced out onto the streets all alone.

Mobiverse

    Mobiverse Tails

Miles "Tails" Prower (Dimension MV-2023)

Origin: Mobiverse by SFG1235

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mobiverse_tails.png

An alternate version of Tails that took up his Sonic’s mantle after the blue blur’s death at Mammoth Mogul’s hands.

  • Age Lift: MV!Tails is confirmed to be a teenager, around 15 years old. Ironically, this is the same age as the canon Sonic.
  • Best Friend: MV!Tails was best friends with his Sonic in the past up until the blur’s death with Mammoth Mogul.
  • Big Brother Mentor: MV!Tails acts like an older brother figure to OMT!Tails as he teaches him some valuable life lessons that could help him and his future. He even personally comes to OMT!Tails’s aid when Lost Memory Sonic is heartlessly treating the kid like a “mistake”. Although he does find it strange, in a way, he's helping out a younger version of himself from an alternate universe.
  • Cannot Spit It Out: MV!Tails had developed a crush on his Cream, though wasn’t sure how to confess his feelings for her without sounding like a nerd. Thankfully, Blitz!Tails, who had been in his shoes before, was on hand to give him some help with this.
  • Childhood Friend Romance: MV!Tails met his Cream during childhood and they became close friends. He developed a crush on her while growing up, but was too shy to talk about it directly to her.
  • The Leader: Of Team Swift, what is now left of Team Sonic.
  • Love Interests: MV!Tails has a crush on his Cream, though in the past, he did have a crush on the M.V counterparts of Cosmo, Fiona, Mina and Zooey. Eventually, he did end up winning a date with MV!Cream, after getting the courage to confess his love towards her.
  • Spared, but Not Forgiven: While Mobiverse Tails doesn’t go as far as to kill LM!Sonic, he still makes it clear that nothing can justify what he tried to do, which would’ve truly tore the multiverse apart, and remarks that he WILL erase LM!Sonic if he dares to go anywhere near the Mobiverse. He goes through with this at the end of Cosmic Discoveries.
"Oh, and if you ever come across my world and dare to touch my friends or my Cream, I'll personally make a device that will erase you from existence."

Carol’s three best friends and partners within Team Lilac, they and Carol are each prominent in More than One Universe onwards.

  • Berserk Button: For Lilac, people bullying or talking foul about orphans. If that happens, and considering she’s an orphan herself, expect the one inciting the bullying or negative talk to get their butt kicked.
  • Childhood Friend: Aside from having Carol as her own, Lilac also has Carrie as a close friend from her youth, who's considerably more girly than her "final" self is.
  • The Leader: Lilac is this for her own team.

Their past... and their present.

An aspiring music star, the daughter of a family of demons, a ginger-haired shooter and a former Fangirl, each together in their part of the mission in More than One Universe and other stories.

  • Adaptation Name Change: Benjamin and Grace are both this AU’s counterparts to Boyfriend and Girlfriend respectively.
  • Adaptation Species Change: Whilst Boyfriend is human in canon, Benjamin is confirmed to be an angel in the IAB! continuity.
  • Adaptational Badass: Benjamin gets this tenfold thanks to the ECHO ability he inherits from Fire Fight.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy/Girl: Compared to their canon counterparts, who are both under the Idiot Hero class, Benjamin and Grace both show this by showing that their love isn't solely for the thrills and is genuine, and they've not pressured anybody to duel them if that person doesn't wish to.
  • Adaptational Sympathy: Not only did ErrorSky come to realise trying to take Benjamin as her own was the wrong course of action, but she reconciled with him after the Corruption’s strike and even helped stop Toxinfect in his attempt to come back to terror.
  • Alliance of Alternates: After his clash with Agent Blueballs, Benjamin makes up his own to go alongside the pre-existing Funkin' Gang led by Gracie, and his group composes of:
  • Ambiguously Bi: ErrorSky is stated to be equally blushy when Grace is in range, implying she might be crushing on her as well as Benjamin.
  • Better as Friends: This is ErrorSky’s current relationship with Benjamin, the two simply besties instead of doing anything romantical for now, considering Benjamin is taken.
  • Canon Welding: Benjamin and Grace maintain the families that they have in MizanPloz’s Genderswaps mod, and it’s thanks to Hatsune Miku being his big sister (like in Concert Conundrum) that Benjamin is classed as an in-universe SEGA character, in turn granting him allowance into the Quill Society as a member despite not having the usual Sonic ties.
  • Cosmic Flaw: By LM!Sonic's twisted logic, all four of them would be classed as "anomalies" due to them averting their own canons and Pico being the cause of a universe reset.
  • Demonic Possession: Benjamin almost falls victim to this due to a currently-unknown entity, but said entity was driven out by him and Soul Boyfriend working together and fighting it out. After the Errorverse’s rewrite, Nitro, already aware of the consequences, cancels out the possession before it can start trying to claim Benjamin.
  • Foil: Through the "Clashing Beliefs" post, Benjamin is shown to be this for Kenji, who is the only Funkin' Society member with idol relatives. Whilst Benjamin has this as well, alongside him being an angel like Kenji and his universe mostly abiding to canon, he himself is not inclined with Cam's beliefs that Status Quo Is God, and is shown to be more than happy to fight the Bad Boss off when his intent on capturing him and bringing him into the Society by force is accidentally blown by Judith. In fact, Benjamin uncovering this got the Funkin' Society new enemies, including the very incarnation of Pico Kenji's world had a Corrupted Character Copy of thanks to Softie being stuck with them. There's also the two's placements in The Multiverse in general to consider: while Benjamin is the direct second iteration of a Dead Alternate Counterpart, Kenji is the first iteration of himself before Cyan, who was created when Earth-16063 split from Earth-13166 and died to a canon event for his world's Aloe. And finally, while Benjamin and Miku have a regular brother-sister relationship, Kanata's support of Kenji is covered in red tape detaching her identity from anything beyond casual conversion, leaving Kenji unaware that he would be nothing if Kanata had the same mindset as the Society. As for Towa, Kenji doesn't even know they're in-laws due to Hana and several others erasing her connection from the public to throw off their father's usual business.
  • In Spite of a Nail: If going by the canon events of Funkinverse enforced by Agent Blueballs, the entire gang (save for Sky, who was dealing with Toxinfect at the time) had encountered AND overpowered the Corruption in the past (TWICE if counting their base incarnations’ efforts).
    • Likewise, though Benjamin and Grace have never lost anyone close to them to a canon event, neither Pico nor ErrorSky were that lucky. Pico lost his original Boyfriend and Girlfriend to Ultra M, and Sky lost her parents to Toxinfect.
  • Punny Name: Like his Soft counterpart, Pico’s remaining name is “N. Grounds”, and once again, no points for guessing what that’s a play on.
  • Replacement Goldfish: Benjamin and Grace are this to the original Boyfriend and Girlfriend after they met their demise in Mario's Madness.
  • Ripple-Effect-Proof Memory: Of the main three, Pico is the only one to go through the Cosmic Retcon of the base FNF universe with all his memories intact.
  • Take That!: Based on the Funkinverse canon event that all Boyfriends need to have composed a bad song in their time, the one Benjamin isn’t proud of is “Really Happy”.

    Bently Forceloyed

Bently Forceloyed (Dimension URB-2023)

"Replaces": Boyfriend

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tumblr_ee5a7057c45f27cce5bac97e8b636059_b394e524_640.jpg
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bently.png

An alternate version of Benjamin who had to make a new life for himself after the mysterious demon ravaged his universe.

  • Alternate Universe: Bently comes from one where he fell victim to the Demonic Possession and lost just about everyone he ever cared for, being forced to start anew after what felt like forever in his mind.
  • Cursed with Awesome: At first, Bently didn’t THINK as such; he was infected with the Puhoi curse that cost him his old life and left him horribly traumatised. He later learned to completely control the curse and keep it sealed in case he ever needed to utilise it for protecting close ones.
  • In Spite of a Nail: Through the Funkinverse canon events:
    • He found supporting companions in both Isabella and Livie.
    • He lost everyone he knew to a twisted spin on the canon event criteria, factoring into his decision to call out of ever associating himself with the Funkin' Society.
    • This is subverted for the criteria of dropping out of education, as he went back into it following his integration into the new world.
  • It's All My Fault: Bently ends up having this in spades when he’s led to believe he “dumped” Audrey by having him live with Otto, and increasingly feels guilty and ashamed of himself. Even when he reconciled with Audrey, it did not change the fact that he was undergoing major Heroic Self-Deprecation from his fearful priorities. It ultimately took the original Benjamin via a dream to comfort and support him for his mental state to get better.
  • Jumped at the Call: Whilst disliking the prospect of using the curse's abilities, as explained below, Bently is still actively on board to help his original counterpart out against The X in the Funkinverse sub-story.
  • Refusal of the Call: Bently did NOT want to use the curse’s abilities, rightfully fearing that he would eventually become a remorseless killer or frighten innocents, just like the one who possessed him did to ruin his old life. It’s hard to blame him, considering what Lucy went through prior to embracing her powers.
  • You Don't Look Like You: For an alternate Benjamin, his new look is near-unrecognisable to the original.

    Isabella Fondsmith

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/isabella_17.png

A young girl Bently met during his time in his new dimension.

  • Expy: Despite not being a one-to-one expy of Grace, she serves as such in New Identity, New Life, being the new love interest of Bently after he had settled into his new home.
  • History Repeats: In a way, her meeting with Bently; namely, being in awe at his amazing singing voice. And they even start falling in love whilst studying together at school.
  • You Are Better Than You Think You Are: Isabella says as such for Bently when he vents about the struggles he was forced to face in his new life, such as his inability to decide the right course for himself and others in life.

Cameos

    Chaos Emerl / Speedy

Battle Kakku XVI / Speedy

Origin: Tails Adventure (Speedy) / Sonic Battle (Chaos Emerl alias)

Replaces: The Prowler / Aaron Davis (Earth-14589)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/speedy.png

Another version of the evil Emerls captured by the Quill Society after being displaced in another dimension.

  • Noodle Incident: According to them, Pana and Superstars Amy were the ones that captured Speedy at some point before OMT!Tails was invited to Gust Planet Zone. According to him, he stumbled after getting blasted out of the sky.
  • Took a Level in Badass: He’s come a long way from simply being the heir to his father’s Kakku army, having used another Emerl alias (this one based off of Chaos) and becoming a new supervillain in his own right. While it’s unclear what happened, the fact that it took two members of the Quill Society to detain him is a big implication that he’s an even bigger threat than he once was.

    Sonic Prime and Shadow Prime

Sonic the Hedgehog and Shadow the Hedgehog (Dimension PRIME-1991)

Origin: Sonic the Hedgehog (Sonic); Sonic Adventure 2 (Shadow)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sonic_prime_8.png
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shadow_prime.png

The original versions of Sonic and Shadow themselves from the actual games, seen briefly going about their own business.

  • The Cameo: Sonic and Shadow both make a brief appearance in two of the scripted scenes (three, in Sonic's case) and don't have any overbearing influence on the plot. That said, Sonic Prime is brought up several times by other characters for good reason, and the two are briefly visited by OMT!Tails in Cosmic Discoveries, albeit unwillingly on the latter's part.
  • Composite Character: While they both inherit their game personalities, they're both also based on their Sonic Prime selves, judging by how Sonic brings up the Shatterverse.
  • Hero of Another Story: Judging by their dialogue we know about, they both seem to be on their own agenda at the time of the scene they cameo in, involving their own fair share of EXEs, something the original Sonic hadn't yet encountered. In another post, we see Sonic Prime outrunning one of Eggman's newest robots in Dimension MP-2021, which is witnessed by various characters, Nine included.
  • It's Personal: Though Shadow Prime was already angered at Lost Memory Sonic for causing trouble in his universe, his anger comes to a head when the hedgehog has the gall to mock Maria, that being the Ultimate Lifeform's very Berserk Button, prompting him to tell the evil blue blur to book it, lest he has a death wish in store.
  • "Not So Different" Remark: Sonic Prime and OMT!Tails both end up on the receiving end of this from Lost Memory Sonic, who believes them both to be ticking time bombs that could shatter the multiverse. Sonic can only snark back, seeing this alternate counterpart of his to be grumpier than Shadow ever could be.
  • Offscreen Moment of Awesome: Shadow gets one when he fights off LM!Sonic while Sonic Prime and OMT!Tails are talking to one another. And judging by his dialogue afterwards, it's implied Shadow didn't even need his Chaos powers to stand a chance against an evil counterpart of his rival.
  • Once Done, Never Forgotten: Shadow certainly hasn't forgotten about when Nine attempted to kill him and Sonic, hence why he considers OMT!Tails the better alternate Tails out of the two.
  • Truer to the Text: Or Truest to the Text. As these are the video game counterparts of both Sonic and Shadow, this is naturally a given, with them both maintaining their base personalities.
