This is already somewhat repetitive... So let's do this... ONE... LAST... ROUND!

Sonic.EXE One More Time, Sonic.EXE One More Round and Sonic.EXE One Last Round are a series of fangames developed by Mr Pixel Productions, the same person who made Too Late.exe. This set of games centers around a creepier take on the original formula, the latter two mentioned games also incorporating elements of Sally.EXE in as well.

The first two games can be downloaded here and here, while the demo for Tails and Knuckles's routes for One Last Round can be played here.

A rework for Sonic.EXE: One Last Round is in the works, and its page can be found here.

This game contains examples of:

  • An Arm and a Leg: The Sandopolis level has Knuckles's leg left dangling for that whole stage. While he can still move about as normal, this is a form of Cruel Mercy on Sonic.OMT's part. The same applies to Robotnik during the Marble Zone level, having had one of his arms shredded off right before it. With Metal Sonic travelling with him, he's not completely helpless, however.
  • Anti-Frustration Features: At different points in Eggman's major level in One Last Round, there are elevators that need passwords to activate. Thankfully, the passwords are always pasted on the top-right of the monitors, and only the correct letter is registered for each part of the password, meaning players don't have to worry about accidental typos. Considering who eventually starts creeping up on the poor doctor when doing these passwords, this is essential.
  • Art Evolution: The artwork present in these games gradually improved with each remaster, to the point that OLR Rework outright uses mostly-original artwork for the game.
  • Berserk Button: Wasting his time in the Green Hill segment leads to Sonic.OMT going the simple route of snapping Tails' neck after ten minutes have passed while an angry grimace is on his face rather than the usual Slasher Smile he has and managing to escape him in Angel Island leads to him shoving Tails' face into the lava of Lava Reef zone as punishment for breaking his rules.
  • Body Horror: The characters die in a lot of gruesome and graphic ways, such as having limbs and body parts torn off, flesh bitten into, and other horrible things. Sonic.OMT himself is no better, as he can freely shapeshift his body into all sorts of horrifying looks that are pure nightmare fuel.
  • The Cameo:
    • In the first variant of Hill Act 1 in One More Round and One Last Round, Luigikid can be found on top of the wall with the S-tunnel.
    • In One Last Round's Hide and Seek level, Draenog can be found in a hidden area.
    • Fatal Error is in a hidden area of You Can't Run, and will crash the game soon upon finding him.
    • Another hidden area of You Can't Run houses the Author Avatar of Mr Pixel himself. ...at least, if you don't go too far along the path first.
    • The antagonist of One Last Round-inspired fangame, Sonic.RIBS, can be seen in FFFFF Zone on a hidden path, though, compared to the other cameos so far, he can't be interacted with by Knuckles.
    • In I Will Find You, L0CK0N_DR1VE can be found after going up a short elevators section, or by climbing the wall next to it. Upon being discovered, he will cause red static to cover the screen three times - two of those times being broken up by a mysterious photo.
    • In the background of Metal Sonic's level, near the beginning, a monitor displays the Author Avatar of OMT's voice actor, KGBepis, in the same EXE eye vein, with text asking "Who is he?".
    • Lord X himself shows up in the game during Eggman's section, inviting players to join his world, where the fun supposedly never ends.
"Such a shame we're not in my world... The fun never ends there! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
    • Another area in the same level houses a small funhouse-like area, with a framed picture of a clown-like EXE known as Steve in the background.
    • During Cream's forest level, Majin Sonic can briefly be seen amidst the trees.
  • Confusion Fu: Sonic.OMT's habit of decorating levels with his own numerous copies writhing around and sneering at you makes it difficult to tell which ones are simply set dressing, and which ones are going to attack, further adding to the oppressive atmosphere.
  • Content Warning: As of the private Robotnik demo, One Last Round features one warning players about the sensitive content in the game, though it's portrayed as creepily as everything else, soon delving into OMT giving an invitation to play his sinister games with him.
  • Eldritch Abomination: And how! Taking many cues from Gorefield, Sonic.OMT not only utilises the schtick of being a murderer, but is able to shapeshift into many eldritch appearances to stalk and kill his victims.
  • Foregone Conclusion: No matter where the player goes with any character in the games, said character will always get killed off in one of many gruesome ways.
  • The Fourth Wall Will Not Protect You: After killing a victim, Sonic.OMT will almost always turn his head towards the screen before letting out his signature laugh.
    • An in-universe example also happens if Metal Sonic is destroyed before surviving his level, with Sonic.OMT literally coming out of Robotnik's monitor and killing him through it.
    • Naturally, Lord X, in his Easter egg, turns towards the screen while addressing the player, knowing he can't get them while he's not in his world, but still offering the opportunity to people.
  • Hive Mind: Sonic.OMT stands out from several versions of the character by using this instead of simply teleporting around. There are immeasurable copies of him that vary from "Freaky looking Sonic" to "Enormous blue and peach serpent that has Sonic's face on it."
  • Hope Crusher: As revealed if Knuckles manages to escape the serpent, OMT already has every Emerald, but doesn't seem willing to use them, seeing as he's already powerful enough without them. He demonstrates this by shattering a Chaos Emerald with his bare hands before finishing the worn-out echidna off.
  • Hopeless Boss Fight: The final minigame in the current selection is a "battle" between Sonic.OMT and all three of the Round 1 victims with their injuries intact. The only thing the player can really do is evade the barrage of attacks as long as possible.
  • Initialism Title: Sonic.OMT's main name has actually been confirmed to be "Outbreak Malware Threat".
  • Jumpscare: Surprisingly rare for a game like this, but if you press Escape one too many times on the Sonic.EXE Game Over screen in all three instalments, OMT will jumpscare the player in response (while laughing madly) before crashing the game.
  • Multiple Endings: This trope is toyed with and lampshaded by Sonic.OMT, though in One More Round and One Last Round, there are multiple ways for most characters to end up getting killed at the demon's hands.
"We don't need good endings"
  • Nightmare Face: Sonic.OMT, of course, sports lots of these, most commonly seen in the background of messages addressed to the player.
  • Off with His Head!: Quite a few deaths between games involve some kind of decapitation from Sonic.OMT.
  • Power Limiter: While he is fully capable of doing practically ANYTHING within his world, he cannot do much within our world aside from leeching power or souls from within an electronic device such as a PC.
  • Recycled Soundtrack: The first two games reuse a lot of songs from other content. Subverted with One Last Round, which uses a more originally-composed soundtrack comprising mostly of remixes of iconic themes.
  • Shout-Out: The real point of the "100% REAL" demo is a take on WarioWare, but with minigames themed around these games. The minigames themselves can be played standalone from the Main Menu.
  • Spiders Are Scary / Snakes Are Sinister / Gruesome Goat:
    • This comes in full force for the chase in "Abandoned Zone" and "I Will Find You", with OMT taking on the form of a spider and a serpent respectively to relentlessly chase Tails and Knuckles.
    • The last of these tropes applies towards Robotnik, though OMT's goat-like form only stalks the doctor when he's entering passwords by the time things go really far off the deep end, meaning the player must enter said passwords quickly to escape.
    • Altogether, these three tropes make Sonic.OMT seem like the games' equivalent of Satan.
  • Suddenly Speaking: Sonic.OMT is silent in the first two games, only communicating through messages. However, come One Last Round, he's finally fully voice-acted in most segments.
  • Take That, Audience!: One of the minigames introduced in the "100% REAL" demo is a prod at fans begging for the Eggman Demo of the game.
  • Timed Mission: A common staple for a Sonic fangame, though if Tails waits it out in the normal Green Hill Zone for the whole 10 minutes, OMT will simply show up and kill him anyway, somewhat annoyed at the player for keeping him waiting.
"You don't want to make me lose my patience"
  • Video-Game Lives: Every character only has one life in this game, plain and simple. In One Last Round Rework, attempting to defy this by gathering 100 rings or more will cause Tails to take damage and leave him stuck with the lone life he has.
  • We Only Have One Chance: Metal Sonic, while traversing Eggman's base to find the doctor, must get there without falling victim to any of OMT's tactics. If he's taken out too soon, Robotnik is going out with him.
