Created by badre, The Return Funkin' is a mod for Friday Night Funkin', which aims to reimagine the experiences of several old opponents into a fresh experience.

This mod contains examples of the following tropes:
- Adaptational Modesty: Instead of wearing the red dress she is known for, Girlfriend instead wears a hoodie like Boyfriend, appearing more cuter than her original appearance rather than sexy.
- Excuse Plot: The basic plot is that BF and GF are simply returning to their past in order to take on old mod foes once again.
- New and Improved: None of the songs from the original mods show up, instead bringing completely new songs to the table while keeping the charm of what made each character so memorable to begin with.
