Wednesday's Infidelity is a Friday Night Funkin' Game Mod created by Box Funkin' Team and is based on the famous Creepypasta Suicide Mouse, though the main story is also a dark turn of a Story Arc within the Mickey Mouse newspaper comic strip Mr. Slicker and the Egg Robbers.

The mod features a different take on the creepypasta's version of Mickey Mouse, having gone depressed from seeing Minnie cheating on him for Mr. Slicker, decides to inject himself and walks down some houses similar to the original video before bumping into Boyfriend.

You can download the game here.

Wednesday's Infidelity provides examples of:

  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Boyfriend in this mod is friendlier than the canon Boyfriend according to Word of God, prioritizing Mickey's mental health over anything else.
  • Adaptation Species Change: According to Word of God, Girlfriend is fully human in this mod instead of a demon like the base game.invoked
  • Arc Words:
    • "Life, like any other, is HARD"note
    • "Suffering" is rather commonly paired with "Unknown," these two words outright being the name of Mickey's third song, referring to a line from the original pasta, "Real suffering is not known."
  • Art Shift: To match the mod's art style, Boyfriend has been given a new design reminiscent of rubber hose animation. As of PART 2, Girlfriend has received the same treatment.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: Even with a proper singing chromatic, Mokey looks to just be a goofy cameo with a short song in "Kriman't"... right up until the supposed length of the song ends and Mokey goes insane with a giant Slasher Smile, more than doubling the length of the song.
  • Big Bad: Satan himself seems to hold this role, being the last opponent faced in the first week regardless of ending. He also has minor roles in the cover songs and happens to enjoy Mickey's suffering. Well, until content leakers come into the equation, that is.
  • Bladder of Steel: Attempting to pause the game will only result in Satan appearing onscreen saying "Can't stop now."
  • Born Lucky: Even in the state he is, D-Sides Oswald is still a very lucky rabbit, no-selling his own attempted suicide in "Untold Loneliness", and somehow killing the leakers by dumb luck in "Leak Ma Balls". Needless to say, he doesn't take his luckiness that well.
  • Cliffhanger:
    • After completing "Unknown Suffering" in V1, Boyfriend gets sucked into a portal as Mickey is about to shoot himself, with text saying "See you on Wednesday" appearing shortly afterwards.
    • In V2/PART 2, after finishing "Verciculus Iratus" on the Happy Ending route, the game simply goes back to the Week Selection screen, leaving the fate of Mickey uncertain. Word of God says that he was reincarnated as Julian and Cheddar.
  • Cover Version: Too Slow (Encore), Battered and Accelerant. The last song is a remix made for Friday Night Funkin': Antipathy, appearing in this mod as an Early-Bird Cameo.
  • Crossover: Satan also appears in Chapter II (called "Apocalypse") of the mod Funked Birth as... well, The Devil himself, who Boyfriend (the actual one, not his great-great-grandfather) must battle against after being sent to Hell by Jesus.
  • Demoted to Extra / Promoted to Playable: At the moment, Girlfriend only appears in the good ending of the main week. However, she can be played as in songs where Boyfriend is playable via selecting "GF-RETRO" in the chart editor.
  • Dragged Off to Hell: The ultimate fate of Mickey in both endings, regardless of whether he goes through with his suicide or not. Boyfriend suffers this fate as well.
  • Driven to Suicide: While we don't see him directly do the deed in PART 1, the last we see of Mickey is while he's pointing a pistol at his cranium after "Unknown Suffering". He does go through with it in PART 2's bad ending, however.
    • Oswald also has this tendency, carrying a revolver around to shoot himself with. Due to his Born Lucky status, it doesn't tend to work on him.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: If the player does well enough during the first three songs of Week 1 and gets less than 30 misses up until "Unknown Suffering", Minnie, who realised what she had caused, stops her husband from harming Boyfriend further and clears up the misunderstanding from the beginning of the story, which is enough to help encourage Mickey to give up the syringe and have a happier life. However, if what comes next is anything to go by...
  • Epic Fail: At the end of "Leak Ma Balls", Oswald, who had a gun against his head point-blank in the background, somehow manages to shoot the leakers in an attempt to kill himself. Judging by his wording, this has apparently happened more than once.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: In the song "Leak Ma Balls", Satan's beef is more with those that leaked the mod and even teams up with Mickey to put them to rights in the song.
  • Eye Scream: Oswald's luckiness renders a point blank gunshot to the side of his head into a nonlethal maiming by having the bullet glance off his skull and take out his eye instead.
  • Funny Background Event:
    • During the Imposter songs, several crewmates can be seen running by and doing their duties, somewhat oblivious to the main scuffle going on.
    • Among the background characters in "Leak Ma Balls" is D-Sides Oswald, holding a gun to his head and trying again to shoot himself after his failure in "Untold Loneliness". His appearance pays off at the song's end when he somehow misses a point-blank shot and kills the leakers instead, much to his chagrin.
  • Happy Ending Override: The ending of "Sunsets" has Mickey and Minnie finally reconciling. However, the Narrator immediately asks if the change in songs would have made any difference to Mickey's fate. He would later kill Mickey and drag both him and Boyfriend to Hell.
  • Incredibly Lame Pun: “Leak Ma Balls” —> “Ligma Balls” —> “Lick My Balls”
  • Interface Spoiler: Subverted for both "Unknown Suffering" (as of PART 2) and "Kriman't", as they both present a certain amount of time for the song as normal for the HUD. After a certain point in each song (the final stretch of the former, and when Mokey goes insane in the latter), the timer updates itself to cover the remainder of the song.
  • Jump Scare: If the player tries to pause any of the songs then Satan's head will appear with "You can't stop now." appearing in front of him in red text.
    • If the player hits the smile notes in "Dejection", a distorted Mickey face appears that blocks the screen for a few seconds.
  • Leitmotif : "Cycles" from the "Vs Sonic.exe" mod gets a more iconic piece of its melody used in several songs to symbolize the ongoing cycle of torment Satan is putting Mickey through.
  • Marathon Level: "Hellhole" and "Kriman't" both hit the 5-minute mark and don't let up with the gameplay throughout the whole thing. "Kriman't" is especially noteworthy as the timer shown on the HUD says it's only 2 minutes long up until that 2 minutes has passed.
  • Mistaken for Cheating: Minnie turns out to be a victim of this. She soon clarifies otherwise in the happy ending, getting Mickey's trust back and reconciling with him.
  • Morton's Fork: The endings. If you get the bad ending, Mickey kills himself and Boyfriend is dragged to hell with him, both forced to eternally act as Satan's playthings. The good ending? Satan kills Mickey himself and Boyfriend is dragged to hell, cursed to be tormented by Mickey's death.
  • Nightmare Face: A picture of Mickey's face covered in blood and with realistic eyes appears in the intro and when Boyfriend misses a note.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Throughout the mod, Boyfriend establishes a lot of Adaptational Sympathy, caring a lot about Mickey's wellbeing. He is brightly smiling again in the Happy Ending, but by the end of the Bad Ending, he's been reduced to a quivering wreck, and is genuinely scared of Satan forcing him to face him and Mickey.
  • Perpetual Frowner: In contrast to his base game counterpart, Boyfriend in this mod doesn't smile often. His default expression is a scowl. His D-Side counterpart has more of a neutral expression, but isn't seen smiling either.
  • Rhymes on a Dime:
    • Like Mighty.ZIP before him, D-Sides Oswald chooses to speak in rhyme when describing what he's about to do to himself.
In the end, we all DIE.
    Why should I even try?
Gun in hand, my life shall end...
MY SUFFERING SHALL BE KNOWN, FRIEND!
    • Mickey accidentally rhymes when asking for the leakers to just die already.
    Why am I ranting? I don't know!
I should've ended this a long time ago...
    FUCK, that rhymed!
  • Sanity Slippage: Mickey starts off with a small frown in the first half of "Wistfulness" before smiling a little in the second half, he then starts to go mad in "Dejection", before his smile becomes a big Slasher Smile in "Unknown Suffering".
  • Tears of Blood: Mickey's eyes start to bleed when he starts to go insane in "Wistfulness".
  • Token Good Teammate: Julian, despite his uncanny-looking appearance, does absolutely no harm to Boyfriend, considering the Breather Episode nature of his week compared to the chaos of Week 1 and the unnerving tone of Week 3.
  • Unreliable Narrator: During the cutscene after Sunsets, the narrator describes how Mickey was finally happy again and that he could live his life much better now. However, he soon says that he's tired of pretending, which catches the attention of Boyfriend and a fear-stricken Mickey. He asks them whether they thought the songs would make any difference before killing Mickey anyway and dragging both of them to hell.
  • Whole Costume Reference:
    • A crewmate resembling Mickey Mouse with a syringe is present during "Needle Mouse", "Unknown Defeat" and "Corpse", with Boyfriend taking on a crewmate appearance for those songs as well.
    • Mickey dresses up as Hank J. Wimbleton in "Battered" and "Accelerant", as Hank is the one singing those songs in their original mods.
    • During the “Too Slow” cover, when Mickey and Satan merge, they end up looking a lot like Fatal Error.

Untold Loneliness

Oswald makes it very clear what he intends to do to himself. But he only succeeds in blowing one of his eyes out.

How well does it match the trope?
