  • Content Leak:
    • An early version of version 2.0 was leaked onto /funkg/. In response to this, Box Funkin stated that any videos showing leaked content would be issued a takedown.
    • Another, more complete version of version 2.0 leaked onto GameBanana in June 2022 with the vast majority of the planned songs included only a handful of tracks missing, such as the remake of “Unknown Suffering” by GoddessAwe.
      • In September 2022, the game was leaked yet again, this time spoiling more content from the game's second part. As a result, Box Funkin' decided to release the second part early, with some bugs not ironed out and other features not implemented. Ironically, one of the new features was a secret song that makes fun of leakers.
  • Dummied Out:
    • Girlfriend was planned to be an additional playable character for the mod, but this wasn't implemented in the V2 update. It's possible to play as her for any song by opening the debug menu and selecting her from the character list.
    • Due to how the team's song selection worked (as they had a deadline for songs to be completed by, with all songs coming after being scrapped for V2) a few songs were made that could not be used. These include a new song for Julian, newer versions of "Vesania" and "Unknown Suffering" and a cover of "Triple Trouble."
    • One such cover that got in the mod's files was a cover of "Phantasm," but it's only accessible in the mod's debug menu.
  • Meaningful Release Date:
    • The V1 version of the mod came out on December 15, 2021, the 55th anniversary of Walt Disney's death.
    • Both V1 and V2 were released on a Wednesday, a day when suicides were most likely to be carried out.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • A lot of Part 2’s soundtrack had earlier versions, most of which were included in the June 2022 leak. While most newer versions of Part 2’s OST were fairly close to their earlier versions, a handful of songs such as “Sunsets” had a vastly different tones compared to their final versions.
    • Funnily enough, a newer version of “Vesania” was meant to be included in Part 2, but it went unused, with the team opting for an older version of the song to be included in the full mod.
    • An additional update was planned in order to patch out any bugs found in Part 2, and add extra songs along with remasters of previous songs, but the update was scrapped due to Jhaix deeming it unnecessary.
  • Word of God:
    • Goofy and Donald do not exist in the canon story, the appearance of Donald and Goofy in freeplay are alternate universe versions, not the same as the main story. And no, they did not die in a car crash, they didn't exist nor did Mickey know them at that time, Accelerant Donald took the same path of Tricky being a zombie duck and in Vesania, this one was mutilated together with Goofy by the devil.
    • Canonically, Mickey cannot meet or be friends with Julian, Cheddar or Impostor Mouse, because they are all the same. The friendship with the devil that can be seen only exists in freeplay where nothing is canonical or alternate universes.
    • The flower on GF's hat is a gift from BF, this is seen in the background of the mod where she is just receiving the flower.
    • The modern gun that Mickey has was given to him by the devil as a "gift" that he can use to end his suffering (although this is just a trap, it only drags him to hell when he uses it).
    • Compared to her usual portrayal in FNF as a demon, Girlfriend has been confirmed to be human like Boyfriend in this mod. She also is confirmed to have no relation to the Dearests.
    • Boyfriend is notably much friendlier in this mod than in canon, prioritizing Mickey's mental health before anything else.
    • Boyfriend and Girlfriend in the mod are not only confirmed to be separate to their base game counterparts but are also the great great grandparents of the original game's version of Boyfriend.
    • Julian and Cheddar are Mickey's reincarnations after the good ending, Julian having no memory of his past self as Mickey and Cheddar having regressed to a simple childlike state of mind.
