Main Characters/The Beginners

    General
  • Badass Crew: On their own, they are more than capable of fighting. But the first accomplishment they did as a group? Save a princess from getting assassinated against a guild of fully-equipped bounty hunters. Need to mention that said guild is one of the Top 3?
    • Later on, they manage to steal the airship of The Paragons, the guild that decimated the Endward Cult’s Southern Division and recently took over Nitebane.
  • Color-Coded Characters: Most of them, anyway. Cobb and Soul seem to be the only exceptions.
    • Noman is black. Black hair, black suit, and dark dress pants.
    • Floyd is blue. He has been called a “blue blur” by several characters (and later used that as his nickname for The Games, and is an avid user of the electric-blue splash potions.
    • Lenz is grey. He has grey hair and his glasses and goggles have grey frames. His mentor later christened him as the Grey Eagle.
    • Jade is green. Green hair, green leather jacket, and her name is based on the jade gem.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: The entire team is this.
    • Cobb: He annoys everyone around him, and lacks proper wits and manners. He can also kick your ass with only a fishing rod, and has done so to a Hacker once.
    • Noman: His pacifism and reactions to swearing might make him seem like a bit of a wimp to others, but he can deal with enemies non-lethally with just a shield.
    • Floyd: Downplayed in his case. He isn’t as goofy as his companions, but the true danger is whenever he activates his Hack.
    • Lenz: An all-around nerd (complete with two sets of lenses) who keeps gushing about redstone. Can also shoot at you from miles away.
    • Soul: More often than not a Dumb Muscle, but is still a capable fighter who will hurt you with his axe.
    • Jade: Perhaps the biggest example of them all. On the surface, she seems like a normal tagalong fangirl. She’s actually an expert swordfighter, and the most skilled of the entire group.
  • Debut Queue: Part I introduces Cobb, Noman and Floyd, and Soul. Part II introduces Lenz, while Part IV introduces Jade. However, both Jade and Noman only formally join the team much later, joining in the Jolin and Zeppil Arcs respectively.
  • The Drifter: Due to their wanted status, they can only stay in a Kingdom for a short amount of time before being forced to leave, and that’s if they are lucky to not have Cobb and Floyd’s wanted posters in the Kingdom.
  • Hero with Bad Publicity: Are currently wanted across multiple Kingdoms due to a Frame-Up.
  • Ragtag Bunch of Misfits: A group consisting of a fisherman, a guy with a Dark and Troubled Past, a Blood Knight, a redstone engineer, a parkourist fangirl, and a swear-sensitive pacifist. Not exactly a cohesive group.
  • Secret-Keeper: The entire group is this concerning Floyd's Hacker status.
  • The Smurfette Principle: Jade is the only female member.
  • Underestimating Badassery: Being a small team of four (later five, then six), their enemies and even allies tend to not take them seriously.
Arquero: (after finding out how many members their guild actually has) ...Just six? And you’re a renowned guild?

    Cobb

King_Cobb

Actual Number: 999, 999, 999
Registered Number: 1, 000, 000, 000

The story’s protagonist.

  • Armor-Piercing Question: Gives one to Noman about his All-Loving Hero nature. He doesn’t respond.
Noman: So I have to save Minecraftia. Every life matters.
Cobb: ...You’ll have to kill cultists, though. They’re the bad guys. Do their lives matter?
  • Cassandra Truth: Everyone doesn’t believe him whenever he claims that The Angel of Death has a pet pig.
  • Change the Uncomfortable Subject: Tries to do this to evade having to answer whether he thinks Wynn is a lesbian or not. She's not amused.
  • The Ditz: Isn’t exactly the brightest.
  • Famed In-Story: As the first Hacker Slayer.
  • Fire-Forged Friends:
    • With Floyd, as they form a temporary alliance initially planned to last until they get to Mt. Mur, but it turns into genuine friendship after fighting and surviving Carys.
    • With Lenz, as they don’t get along since the latter tried to kill him. They only form a real bond when the both of them are stuck in The End together, and with Lenz later realizing that Cobb willingly entered an unknown portal to try and find him despite the possible dangers or the thought that Lenz may not even be there at all in the first place.
    • With Soul, as his Blood Knight personality clashes with Cobb’s kindheartedness, not helped by Soul still reluctant to forgive Floyd at the time. They only form a friendship after being forced to cooperate with each other during the Creeper Herd Arc.
  • Idiot Hero: Has to be taught on how to make sticks.
  • Improbable Weapon User: Uses a fishing rod, to the point where he has created two techniques with it: Bobber, and Mob Flail.
  • Insane Troll Logic: His reasoning about what the torch recipe is… is a bit far-fetched.
Cobb (internally): Coal. Coal burns. Burns burn. Fire burns. Fire hurts. Burns hurt. The Sun is a ball of fire. The Sun is a ball of burns. My clock says the sun is about to rise. When the sun rises darkness is extinguished. When there’s a fire, fire extinguishers extinguish fires. Mobs spawn in darkness. Without darkness, Mobs cannot spawn. The Sun is the Mob’s greatest enemy, but the sun is also a ball of fire. Therefore, fire extinguishers are Mob’s greatest ally. What else puts out fire? Water! Water also puts out torches. The Sun and torch have the same enemy. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. The Sun and torch are allies. Or perhaps distant cousins? Yes that makes more sense! Distant cousins! (...) Okay, so the torch and the Sun are distant cousins. That means they must share a family secret: The secret of illumination. The Sun is bigger than a torch, so the Sun is capable of sharing its fire with it. Coal burns when lit. Coal burns when hit by the Sun. The recipe for a torch requires coal atop a stick and must be crafted during the day, when the Sun is able to share its light with the torch! That must be it!
  • Lying to Protect Your Feelings: Tells Wynn that the Silver Intent has not returned from their mission yet, to keep her from worrying further about his grief on Floyd’s death.
  • My Friends... and Zoidberg: Was once subject to this during the trip to Daymonte.
    Wynn: Alright, soldiers… and Cobb.
  • Named Weapons: Backlash, his enchanted fishing rod.
  • Oblivious to Love: To Erin.
  • Over-the-Shoulder Carry: Soul does this to him in order for Cobb to burn down the forests of Ringwood faster.
  • Protagonist Without a Past: The story starts with him appearing in Minecraftia.
  • Really Was Born Yesterday: Most of his naivete and stupidity can be explained with this. The story literally starts with him spawning into existence.
  • Screams Like a Little Girl: Does this when he first sees a spider.
  • Talking to Themself: Often does this with his organs.
  • That Cloud Looks Like...: Does this at one point at the local Ringwood Park. He guesses a duck, a smudge, a penis, and a sheep.
  • Where's the Kaboom?: Due to his lack of Redstone knowledge (specifically, the knowledge of needing a repeater every 15 blocks of redstone), his attempt to bomb an Endward Cult outpost ends in failure.

    Noman

Nowhere_Man

Actual Number: 1, 000, 000, 000
Registered Number: 999, 999, 999

A rather formal man, chosen among a billion to defeat the Endward Cult.

  • Accidental Murder: All of his kills are the result of wearing the Severe Shield to protect himself.
  • All-Loving Hero: Wants to save all lives.
  • Birds of a Feather: Together with Floyd. Both consider their powers to only be used wisely, and they both have to keep their true statuses (Hacker and Billionth) secret to the world at large.
  • Catchphrase: “Language!” whenever someone curses in front of him.
  • The Chosen One: The Billionth prophecy states that whoever gets the number of 1, 000, 000, 000 has the capacity to beat the Endward Cult.
  • Foil: To Soul. While both are eager to defeat the Endward Cult, Noman is a pacifist who wishes to settle disputes non-lethally while Soul prefers close-combat fighting to anyone that comes their way.
  • Friend-or-Idol Decision: At one point, the Voda Shlem was hanging on one ledge, and Marble on another. Even worse, Legoless can’t help the Scout up, as he has only half a heart left. He chooses the Voda Shlem.
  • He's a Friend: Upon catching up with Floyd and Soul in Akasha, Noman hastily explains that Arquero, who initially was stealing books from them, is an ally. This is to keep Soul from trying to attack the Book Thief.
  • Holding the Floor: Engages in a conversation with Lieutenant Leadstripe to stall for enough time for the guards to finish the dining room battles and catch up to him.
  • I Just Want to Be Special: The reason why Noman took the responsibility of being the Billionth.
Noman: I wanted my existence to mean something. To not be some floating Nowhere Man, disconnected from it all. So, when I spawned, and Helena said I was tasked with saving the world, I was so happy. What could matter more than saving the world? That one impossible mission gave me purpose, and I vowed to see it through. So that one day, I could look upon Minecraftia, free of any and all threats, and contententedly think to myself, "I mattered".
  • Innocently Insensitive: Claims that Floyd wouldn’t understand the burden of having cursed powers. The bluenette’s understandably pissed.
  • It Sucks to Be the Chosen One: He has to keep his status as the Billionth secret, has a rival who is much more experienced AND for the artifacts, and generally spends most of his mission alone. His first Artifact, the Severe Shield, also directly contrasts his personal philosophy of Thou Shalt Not Kill.
  • Luckily, My Shield Will Protect Me: Fights with a shield, highlighting his pacifistic nature.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: A few times. The worst instance was when even after all his training in Aikido, he still ended up killing Winslow with his Severe Shield.
  • Nice Guy: Does not want to kill or even fight, and is geniunely eager to help people when needed.
  • Sadistic Choice: Keep his moral integrity and not use the Severe Shield, when it could leave to Cobb being executed by Obsidian, or use the Severe Shield to save Cobb, sacrificing his own values in the process. What isn't helping is that Floyd offers to use his Hacker powers to kill in Noman's stead, sacrificing his moral intergrity of not abusing his powers. He instead manages to halt the excution with a speech.
  • Sixth Ranger: The last to join Team Beginners.
  • Spanner in the Works: Along with Soul, the reason why the Beginners were able to escape Carys in Zeppil was because the Paragons did not anticipate their existence.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Initially a Non-Action Guy, but then got to learn Aikido.
  • Technical Pacifist: At least, he attempts to, and only fights when it's very clear that there's no other choice. Even then, he doesn't kill his opponents.
  • Unusual Euphemism: On the off-chance he does swear, it’s usually this.

    Floyd

Flawwed_Floyd

Number: 999, 999, 987
The first Crafter Cobb meets. He doesn’t exactly have the best of pasts.
  • Alliterative Name: Flawwed_Floyd.
  • The Atoner: Wishes to make up to Soul for the death of Silent.
  • Balance, Speed, Strength Trio: The Speed to Silent's Balance and Soul's Strength.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Twice.
    • Saves Soul from being killed by 4Blite in Chapter 80, at a time where everyone believes him to be dead.
    • Saves Alaqua from falling to her death with the help of his Speed Hack in Chapter 140.
  • Birds of a Feather: Together with Noman. Both consider their powers to only be used wisely, and they both have to keep their true statuses (Hacker and Billionth) secret to the world at large.
  • Emotional Powers: His Speed Hack is powered by the feeling of not being fast enough to save people, while his MultiAura Hack is powered by his anger on… several things.
  • Face Fault: Does this in response to Cobb panicking at a bat. While being on trial for a life sentence. Before the King of Ringwood. With Floyd as the lawyer.
  • Food as Bribe: Bribes Cobb with steak in order to get Cobb’s share of the iron they mined. Cobb, having survived on mainly rotten flesh at that point, is easily convinced.
  • Helpful Hallucination: Begins to hallucinate Silent, who initially reprimands Floyd for his failures, but then pushes him into awakening his Hacker powers.
  • The Insomniac: Becomes this for a while after getting several nightmares about Silent's death.
  • Internal Reveal: His Hacker status was only revealed to the rest of the group in the Origin arc, a few arcs after the one where Floyd found out.
  • My Nayme Is: Flawwed_Floyd. He lampshades this at one point.
Record Keeper: ...dont you think [Floyd’s name] is a bit misspelled?
Floyd: Yeah. In fact the spelling is...flawwed.
  • Secret-Keeper: After Jade reveals that she’s actually a much more skilled fighter than Cobb, he agrees to keep it a secret, if only because he prefers Jade to tell Cobb himself.
  • Self-Immolation: Invoked. He sets himself on fire to cheat the second round of the Parkour Games using his Hack.
  • Technicolor Eyes: Has purple ones.
  • Token Super: As the only Hacker in the group.
  • Traumatic Superpower Awakening: Got to activate his Hacker powers upon near-death.
  • Walking Spoiler: Is hard to talk about without mentioning that he is actually a Hacker.
  • White Sheep: Of Hackers, by virtue of Kalmarin abandoning his post near the Origin.

    Soul

Lost_Soul

Number: 999, 999, 985
One of Floyd’s spawn brothers.

    Lenz

Lenzington

Number: 745, 923, 412
A student at the Redstone College in Daymonte. Cobb initially meets him by mocking his project at the Redstone Fair, but later is properly introduced when Cobb gets lost at the Redstone College.
  • Badass Bookworm: Thanks to his knowledge of DayCarts’ Law of Signs, he is able to successfully create a trap to reduce Alec’s Griefer army to about a third of its initial thousand.
  • Commonality Connection: Invoked, saying that the reason on how Cobb came to meet him was through redstone.
  • Crazy Enough to Work:
    • His solution to escaping a water tower with a huge group of Creepers at the bottom? Shoot yourself off a TNT cannon. Granted, it’s the only thing that he could do with the materials he had on hand, but the group with him at the time is not pleased.
    • Floyd lighting himself on fire to pass the second round of the Games was his idea. To his credit, the plan also called for Floyd using a Fire Resistance potion to negate the fire's effects, but the judges denied its use.
  • Digging Yourself Deeper:
Lenz: Strangely enough, this is the second time this week I have had to carry around an unconscious woman. (a passerby guard then gives him a questioning stare) N-no, wait. That—that came out wrong! Stop looking at me like that! I would never drug up women. I would not even know how. I have the social skills of a pebble.
  • Embarrassing Nickname: Thinks of "Lenz" as this. It eventually grows on him.
  • Improbable Aiming Skills: With his eyesight, he is able to shoot faraway items at a great distance, at one point shooting an arrow at a billboard’s buttons, across a chasm. Twice.
    • Later on, he learns to intercept arrows to counter the Yanhua Gong.
  • Literal-Minded: When he first meets Floyd and Soul, we get this exchange:
    Floyd: What’s up?
Lenz: The ceiling, but I fail to see how that matters.
  • Mistaken for Gay: While he and Soul were searching for wanted posters at Jolin, a guard initially assumed they were bounty hunters. After clarifying that they just want a safe place to settle, the guard then assumes they’re a couple, much to their dismay.
  • No Social Skills: Due to being holed up in the northern part of Daymonte for quite some time, he tends to say the wrong things at the worst moments, can’t detect sarcasm and is generally tactless.
  • Opaque Nerd Glasses: Exaggerated. He wears tinted, near-opaque glasses AND goggles!
  • Open Mouth, Insert Foot: Coupled with No Social Skills. At one point he waved off Erin’s feverish attempts at denying the existence of the Silk Touch shovel as "feminine hormones".
  • Sarcasm-Blind: Initially has trouble identifying sarcasm.
  • Sesquipedalian Loquaciousness: Uses a large vocabulary when introduced at the Redstone Fair. Downplayed in later instances, though.
  • Technicolor Eyes: Has magenta ones.
  • Water Wake-up: Woken up this way by Cobb, after many other unsuccessful attempts at doing so.

    Jade

AceOfJades

Number: 4, 246, 303
A Crafter who was introduced helping out a group of fresh spawns to Ringwood. She later properly joins the team in Jolin.
  • The Ace: Is actually the most skilled member of the Beginners, thanks to her experiences and guild-hopping.
  • Ascended Fangirl: Was initially just a fan of Cobb's heroic deeds, and now gets to be a part of his team.
  • Housewife: Was one on her early days.
  • I Just Want to Have Friends:
Jade: All I wanted was a guild of equals—people that treated me like anyone else—that genuinely cared about making a difference to the world.
  • Romancing the Widow: Has lost her husband to a Cultist attack, and is currently dating Cobb.
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: Fell in love with Cobb because he cared enough about a small-time village like Halstatt despite insurmountable odds.
  • Technicolor Eyes: Has purple ones.
  • Tragic Keepsake: Her prized cutlass was from her mentor’s, who died in a Cultist attack.
  • Verbal Backspace: Complains about the Crafters she's helping in her introduction, saying that ten-digit Crafters are hopeless in regards to fighting... only to backtrack once Cobb tells her he's a ten-digit as well.
  • Willfully Weak: Prefers to act less skilled than she actually is in order to appear more approachable.
  • Wounded Gazelle Gambit: Does this in Jolin to get Cobb’s attention and make him save her.

Kingdoms of Minecraftia note

    Ringwood
Biome: Forest
Color: Green
The closest kingdom from the Origin, Ringwood was formerly just a tiny village. A group of Crafters decide to take residence there, and then expand it to make the kingdom it is today. Their banner consists of a Notch apple.

Wynn_Whispers

A Captain of Ringwood, who takes justice very seriously.
  • Affectionate Nickname: "Snow-hare", by Veronica.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: Her utmost dedication to the King of Ringwood-er, His Eminence, was because one of them was kind enough to shelter her after her village was destroyed.
  • Busman's Holiday: Was initially just taking a day-off at the Razed Bar when Cobb accidentally exposed Kane’s identity and is the only person present capable of arresting him.
  • Cool Big Sis: After she defrosts, she serves as an older sister figure to Cobb.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Sure, Cobb illegally entered the Kingdom, but that doesn’t mean you get to place a life sentence on him.
  • Facial Markings: Has markings on her cheeks closely resembling cat whiskers.
  • Good Cop/Bad Cop: Invoked. Both Wynn and Veronica plan to be Bad Cop and Good Cop respectively at first. However, the interrogation eventually switched to the supposed Good Cop beating up the criminal with a sunflower.
  • Hair Flip: Does this often, particularly after showing off what she could do.
  • Hime Cut: Sports a white one.
  • Hypocrite: Frequently chides Cobb on the fact that he cannot detect Erin’s feelings, but she herself didn’t notice Veronica’s until the latter says it out to her outright.
Wynn: (internally) Good God, I’m more oblivious than Cobb! COBB!
  • Ms. Exposition: Educates Cobb about Minecraftia.
  • Lady of War: Uses Swiftness and Leaping potions to gracefully apprehend criminals and enemies.

Velocishot

  • Action Girl: You’d have to be one to be a captain.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Despite her antics, actually helps with the investigation on the whereabouts and identity of the mystery bomber. She also leaves Shady Shin’s open so that she can easily catch criminals with contraband because they purchased said contraband in the store in the first place.
  • Good Cop/Bad Cop: Invoked. Both Wynn and Veronica plan to be Bad Cop and Good Cop respectively at first. However, the interrogation eventually switched to the supposed Good Cop beating up the criminal with a sunflower.
  • Improbable Aiming Skills: Is able to shoot through a one block wide window, past Wynn’s head, and dead center into a criminal's sword arm. Across the chasm.
  • Jack Bauer Interrogation Technique: Parodied. She tortures the one she’s interrogating… with a sunflower. Funnily enough, this is what makes the criminal finally spill the beans due to how humiliating it would be if he died from it.

Burke

A rogue bomber. Gets freed by LeShui by the time Wynn’s group arrives at Daymonte.
  • Delinquent Hair: Wears a mohawk.
  • Mad Bomber: More so than LeShui, since he bombs indiscriminately. Alec even muses about Burke wasting their explosion supply.

LeShui

Another rogue bomber, who utilizes redstone for his bombings.
  • Broken Pedestal: Was a respected student at Redstone College. Lenz was horrified to learn that he’s siding with Alec.
  • Implausible Deniability: Even when he’s placing a TNT on the ground, in front of Burke, he still blames his fellow bomber.
  • Mad Bomber: Less so than Burke, but he utilizes redstone for his own bombings, at one point even creating a TNT cannon to bomb Halstatt’s walls.
  • Never My Fault: Always blames Burke for his own explosions.

  • Unwitting Pawn: Is unaware of the corruption going on in the Anti-Cult Committee, and believes that every person the ACC apprehends is a genuine cultist.

Nephrait428

A member of the Anti-Cult Committee.
  • The Dragon: As McGahn’s co-conspirator and the one responsible for implanting contraband books against their enemies.
  • Sticky Fingers: Has been stealing long before Mc Gahn hired her to do it in reverse.

Grosvenor_McGahn

A Councilman of Akasha.
  • Cassandra Truth: Nobody believed about his pact with the leader of the Hack Clan until the second tribute, and that’s after he has to frame the left-wing and right-wing sides of the council with Herobrine books in order to control Akasha.
  • Freudian Excuse: When the Obelisk was still under construction, he made a deal with Entity 303 that once the Obelisk is completed, the citizens of Akasha must pay the Hack Clan a tribute on the first day of the month in exchange for Akasha’s freedom. After the Obelisk has been completed, nobody in the council besides Mitr and Lagaat believes his pleas for help, believing that McGahn is faking the entire thing, and both sides continue to bicker with one another for the rest of the month. With great effort, the three of them barely succeeded in gathering 5550 food of different varieties for the first tribute, only for 303, Null, and a select group of Hackers to arrive and declare them as late. Fortunately, 303 saw their hard work and is willing to give McGahn a second chance… and kills Lagaat as punishment for a first time offense. To rub salt into the wound, the rest of the council still doesn’t believe him, so McGahn’s forced to use Nephrait to frame two of the leaders of the left-wing and right-wing parties as cultists in order to properly control the Kingdom to make the next tribute on time. However, despite successfully establishing a tribute and helping to recover Akasha, he doesn’t want to risk losing his influence, and thus keeps framing anyone who opposes him.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: Everything he has been doing was done in order to save Akasha from the hands of the Hack Clan, but in doing so, has created a climate of fear, leaving everyone paranoid and distrustful of each other.

Mitr

A former councilman and a friend of McGahn, who is one of many people thrown in the Pit for allegedly being a cultist.
  • Morality Pet: Is this to McGahn. Even after throwing him into the Pit, McGahn still provides much better accommodations to him than the other prisoners, and keeps offering him a position in the Council again in exchange for keeping his mouth shut about the corruption going on in the ACC. Mitr has rejected every offer.

  • Deadpan Snarker: Frequently responds to his superior in a dry, dull tone.
Abyssmal: So, how’d your mission go? Find a lot of danger at the Oceanic Museum?
Mark: Oh, yes. The one guard dog really got my heart pumping. And the security guard’s snoring nearly shattered my eardrums.
  • Only Sane Man: His Executive is a Casanova Wannabe who doesn’t take things seriously, and his fellow Lieutenant is obsessed with him.

  • Claustrophobia: Is afraid of enclosed spaces. Being threatened to be placed in a cramped jail cell is what got him to back off from continuing his chase towards Cobb.
  • Hates Being Touched: Is so averse about being touched that he screams at his subordinate for accidentally doing so. Sdraw is notably the only person that is able to touch him without being yelled at.
  • Undying Loyalty: To his master, Sdraw.
  • We Can Rule Together: Offered Noman a place in the Endward Cult. He refuses.

  • Meaningful Name: One could say he’s… salty for what Carys did to his Division.
  • Too Dumb to Live: He knows Carys’ face and her status as the Angel of Death. Instead of informing the rest of the Endward Cult about it, he guns Carys alone. This ended up being lampshaded by Carys herself.

Guilds and other organizations

     The Silver Intent
An intelligence-gathering unit focused on the Endward Cult.

Brett

  • White Hair, Black Heart: Well, silver, but the point still stands. He cared more about the new information Cara and Soul brought than the loss of Floyd, gives Cobb a map of one of the Endward Cult’s outposts without caring that he may die in doing so, AND assigned Floyd to Zeppil so that he gets caught and thus Brett can prove himself to the Paragons.

Courageous_Cara

  • Pyromaniac: Is a self-proclaimed arsonist, and it SHOWS. She ended up burning the Silver Intent’s treehouse in her sleep, and that’s after Floyd confiscated her flint and steel. Turns out she had a second one.

Void_Dweller

  • The Alcoholic: Was drunk the entire time he helped Cara, Floyd and Soul hang the Silver Intent flag in replacement of the Endward Cult flag.
    Paragons

In General

A guild dedicated to bring hell upon the Endward Cult.
  • Badass Crew: Decimated the Endward Cult's Southern Division before the story starts, and took over Nitebane later on.
  • Recruited from the Gutter: A few of it’s members’ backgrounds come from not-so-savory places, such as Akasha and Nitebane.

Carys_Angel

The leader of the Paragons as a whole.

Kalmarin_the_Prophet

The head of Team Alpha, the combat and offensive unit.
  • The Atoner: Left his post at the origin so that Hackers will not be able to join the Hack Clan and follow it's ideals.
  • Defector from Decadence: Left the Hack Clan for reasons unstated. However, Poulson assumes that Kalmarin left because of Adina.
  • Fedora of Asskicking: Has a brown fedora, leads the Paragon’s most offensive unit, and is a ‘‘Hacker’’.
  • Scarf of Asskicking: Wears a blue one.

BalticSkies

The head of Team Beta, the potion and attrition unit.

Anibal_Whiteclaw

The head of Team Gamma, the theft and arms unit.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Has shades of this.
Anibal: And I'm sure the fact that you were once a Captain [in Zeppil] has nothing to do with this favorable trade relationship?
Jillian: …I don't know what you mean.
    Z7: Gizmhkzivmg.
Anibal: And I don't know what she means.
  • Squee: Does this upon finding out that the artifacts are indeed real.

JillianLikeAVillian

The head of Team Delta, the long-range fighting and intel gathering unit.
  • My Nayme Is: Part of her name is a misspelling of the word villain, but no one dares to point it out to her.
  • Only Friend: Is this to Kalmarin before Attila as only one amongst the guild that sees him as an equal besides Carys.
  • Reluctant Ruler: Was forcefully selected as the new queen of Nitebane by Carys, after the Paragons claim the Kingdom as their own. In spite of this, she performs well as Nitebane’s new queen.

Z7KHD9H

The head of Team Epsilon, the covert ops, stealth, and assassination unit.
  • Sweet Tooth: Is shown to have an affinity for cookies.
  • The Quiet One: Almost always quiet, only responding to others with head or hand gestures. Justified, since as a Jibberwoman, her language is garbled and thus no one could understand her if she does speak.
    • Later on, she starts to converse more often due to someone else (Lenz) being able to understand her.
    Berserkers
A group of Bounty Hunters, with their base residing in Jolin.
  • Assassination Attempt: Does this on Alaqua, the Princess of Jolin. Thanks to the Beginners’ efforts, they didn’t succeed.

Dahlia

The leader of the Berserkers.
  • Arc Villain: Of the Jolin arc.
  • Cool and Unusual Punishment: Is subject to a Curse of Binding pumpkin after the events of the Review. Since pumpkins don’t have durability, she’s forced to wear it for the rest of her life.
  • Karma Houdini Warranty: Gets her comeuppance once her plan to assassinate Alaqua to reinforce the Desideratum gets thwarted by the Beginners.

Brandr

One of Dahlia's subordinates.
  • Fiery Redhead: Very boastful, and has orange hair.
  • Cool and Unusual Punishment: Is subject to a Curse of Binding pumpkin after the events of the Review. Since pumpkins don’t have durability, he’s forced to wear it for the rest of his life.

Hunderprest

A Bounty Hunter who has a thousand dogs at his arsenal.
  • Crazy Cat Lady: Gender-Inverted, and dog variation.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: He was spawned in Minecraftia as a Jibberman because he took a long time to utter his name, but was able to regain Crafter speech because he was actually an in-betweener. During his time as a Jibberman, he faced discrimination solely because he speaks in garbled tongues, with his only solace being the stray dogs he had encountered in the streets.
    Scouts

MarbleFinder

  • Cloud Cuckoo Lander: Tends to do things with no rhyme or reason, as long as he gets a badge for it. Apparently, this is a common trait for Scouts.
  • Destructive Savior: Him trying to save people will inevitably result in damaging the place in any shape or form.
  • Innocent Blue Eyes: Is described with such.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: Despite all his faults, is genuinely a good person, helping Noman out whenever he asks him for help without asking for anything in return.

A Crafter living on Mt. Mur.

    Ciro

Ciro_Che

Number: 1, 000, 000
Notch's student, and a rival for obtaining all the artifacts.
  • The Chosen Wannabe: Is not pleased with the fact that Notch places his faith on someone he didn’t meet yet rather than on him, his student, and thinks that he should be the one to get all the Artifacts and challenge the Endward Cult.
  • Cool Mask: Has a black facemask.
  • Knight Templar: Fully believes in being the one that should fight the Endward Cult, not Noman.
