Heroic Spirit of Deception

Pretender is a class for those who became famous under the guise of someone else, to the point where all the deeds that would qualify them as Heroic Spirits are attributed to a different person, erasing the "individual" who was truly responsible. To qualify, a mere pseudonym (such as acting under a mask or alias) does not suffice: it must be a complete misattribution that destroys the ability to assert between the "real" and "fake" identities. In other words, a deception so complete that it fools even the deceiver themselves. For example, an author who secretly takes up the pen-name of one of their dead peers and subsequently makes their works famous, leading to all the acclaim being directed towards the wrong person.

The Pretender class was introduced in Chapter 6 of Cosmos in the Lostbelt, and was the second Original Generation class in Grand Order after the Foreigner class. Pretenders are strong against Alter Egos, but weak against Foreigners, thus completing the fourth Tactical Rock–Paper–Scissors triangle in the game. They deal extra damage against Sabers, Archers, and Lancers; deal half damage against Riders, Casters, and Assassins; and both deal and take extra damage against Berserkers.

    Shared Tropes
  • Becoming the Mask: According to Nasu, this is basically what qualifies someone to be a Pretender class Servant. Basically, one must fully pretend to be someone or something so much that they basically help inspire or strengthen the person/thing they are imitating, at which point they become the very thing they were imitating. For example; Vortigern became Oberon thanks to Fairies of the sixth Lostbelt calling him such, and when combined with Proper Human History's influence within the Lostbelt, Vortigern essentially had Oberon thrusted onto as part of his being, while Hephaistion was used for Iskander's conquests in such a way where she became his shadow, essentially being part of his legend.
  • Believing Their Own Lies: To qualify as a Pretender Servant, a simple disguise or alias won't just do. The person impersonating another has to be so good at convincing others that they're who they're impersonating, they themselves are also fully convinced that they are who they say to be until they're outed.
  • Composite Character: A trend among Pretender-class Servants is that they're a mix of two different characters, with the dominant name at the front and what they're mostly known as:
    • Oberon Vortigern is a fusion of the Fairy King Oberon of A Midsummer Night's Dream fame and Vortigern, Altria's Evil Uncle who is also the personification of the White Dragon and Britain's will who tried to destroy the land.
    • Hephaistion Mnemosyne is mostly Faker, aka "Hephaistion"/Iskandar's Shadow from Lord El-Melloi II Case Files, but qualifies for the class due to having a certain percentage of Mnemosyne, Chaldea's old observational device, in her.
    • Elisabeth's Nine-Dragon Tattoo variant is the result of her Saint Graph getting mixed with Shi Jin. However, instead of Shi Jin taking over her, she's still in control while Shi Jin is turned into her staff, though she gets aged down as a side effect.
    • Tlaloc is a 2-in-1, sharing a Saint Graph with Huitzilopochtli. Eventually her true identity's revealed to be Tenochtitlan.
    • Cait Cu Cernpriestess is Baobhan Sith/Tam Lin Tristan who later becomes the new priestess of Cernunnos after finding a version of it that got lost in the forest and deciding to help it restore its Authority.
    • Averted for Lady Avalon who doesn't get outed by anyone and therefore has no reveal scene of her true identity and Cagliostro, who is Only Known By His Nickname.
  • Consummate Liar: The biggest qualification to be a Pretender servant is a deception so complete that they fooled their own damn legend, ascending to the Throne of Heroes as themselves while known as someone else. "Hephaistion", for example, doesn't actually have a name of her own; she is the younger sister of the real Hephaistion and was raised as Iskandar's magical Body Double to take on curses aimed at him. The charade was so effective that Iskander's recorded appearance, having heterochromia and short black hair, is actually hers.
  • Divinely Appearing Demons: Their class card depicts a gentlemanly devil with white angelic wings.
  • Gameplay and Story Integration: Extra classes are different from the six core classes in that their strengths and weaknesses are based on the broader Knight/Cavalry categories as opposed to individual classes. Pretenders aren't special in this regard, but they uniquely have an in-universe justification with their ability to change classes.
  • Given Name Reveal: In similar fashion to the True Name Revealed scenes with those with hidden True Names, each Pretender (except for Lady Avalon, Nine-Tattoo Dragon Elisa and Cait Cu Cernpriestess) has a short scene where their actual True Name is revealed, outing them as Pretenders instead of the class they're posing as.
  • Loophole Abuse: According to Nasu and Takeuchi, Pretenders can slip into a normal Holy Grail War undetected by disgusing themselves as a regular Class, which allows them to get away with not being subject to the Ordeal Call despite being an Extra Class.
  • My Name Is ???: Each Pretender (except for the seasonal variants and Cagliostro) has 1 skill that is just marked as "???". It isn't until you uncover their true identities do you learn what the skills are actually named.
    • Oberon's unknown passive increases party's Debuff Success Chance against non-Foreigners, but decreases Buff Success Rate of Merlin allies by 20%. Clearing Avalon le Fae reveals it to be "Anti-Human Order", representing him trying to put an end to the Proper Human History.
    • Hepheistion's passive increases her NP damage by 10%. The name is revealed as "Oblivion Nullification" after clearing the Plus Episode of "Lady Reines' Case Files", a skill based on Mnemosyne being a computer system meant to verify someone's existence.
    • Tlaloc's Noble Phantasm name is locked until clearing Lostbelt 7 Part 2. It's eventually revealed to be "Ometeotl Tenochtitlan", representing the city where both Tlaloc and Huitzilopochtli were worshipped.
  • Original Generation: The second class to debut in Fate/Grand Order after Foreigner in Epic of Remnant.
  • Rare Random Drop: As this class was first introduced late within the Lostbelt arc while the other Extra classes were at least introduced before the prologue of the Lostbelt arc even happened, the chances of getting a Pretender in the gacha is much smaller compared to other Extra classes. But while Oberon, Lady Avalon and Cait Cú Cernpriestess are limited, Hephaistion and Tlaloc are permanent while Cagliostro is story-locked, giving non-spending players excellent options in dealing with Alter Ego enemies. Halloween 2022 later gave players the first welfare Pretender in Nine-Tattoo Dragon Elisa, although her event requires clearing Olympus to participate.
  • Sitcom Arch-Nemesis:
    • Towards the Caster class for some reason. The known Pretenders so far either have skills that counter Casters, have relationships with Caster-class Servants or have been Casters themselves (or have pretended to be in Oberon's case). That being said, it's still not advisable to bring them to stages with Caster enemies, and there's also the fact that Izumo-no-Okuni, a Caster, has an Anti-Pretender append skill.
    • Also a minor one with Rulers as both story-important Pretenders (Oberon and Tlaloc) masqueraded as Rulers before circumstances outed them as Pretenders.
  • Suspiciously Similar Substitute: The Pretender class shares a number of characteristics with the Faker class introduced in Lord El-Melloi II Case Files. The difference is that a Faker Servant is reserved for those who were body doubles of Heroic Spirits in-life, and have a counterfeit version of that Heroic Spirit's powers as a result with some differences and their own powers mixed in, which they use to trick others into believing they are the real Heroic Spirit and not a double. A Pretender Servant, meanwhile, is one who spends their life tricking and deceiving to achieve their goals to the point that they are able to trick the soul itself until they gain even more power and greater achievements than their real selves had, which shows by their ability to change their Servant Class at any time or assume the identity of a Heroic Spirit that is completely unrelated to them and reap the benefits. Going by the classes' representatives, however, the representative Faker, Iskandar's Shadow, is infinitely less evil than the initial Pretender, Oberon. Humorously enough, the actual Faker would eventually make an appearance as an Pretender in "Lady Reines' Case Files Plus Episode".
  • Tactical Rock–Paper–Scissors: The class plays like a reverse Alter Ego; they do extra damage to the Knight classes while doing half-damage to the Cavalry classes (except for the Mutual Disadvantage Berserker class). Additionally, they have the offensive and defensive class advantage to Alter Ego servants while having the offensive and defensive class disadvantage to Foreigner servants.
  • Walking Spoiler: Hoo boy. Due to the nature of the entire class, should this page be spoiler-tagged it'll read out like an FBI report. And as much as Lady Avalon claims that she has nothing to hide, all of them are known for concealing their identities which once revealed, spoils plenty about their true circumstances. The class even has a specific and unique cutscene for non-holiday variants dedicated to revealing their true namesnote  once the cat's out of the bag, and after completing the stories they debut in, the skills previously marked with "???" will have their names revealed as well. And notably, Oberon is the only Servant whose Valentine scene is locked behind Lostbelt 6 completion because of his true identity, a trait that not even fellow Walking Spoiler Tlaloc has despite also hiding her identity from others with her 3rd Ascension onwards locked until Lostbelt 7 completion.

    Alessandro di Cagliostro

The World's Greatest Charlatan

"Pleased to make your acquaintance. I am called Alessandro di Cagliostro. Others call me as such: Count Cagliostro."
Giuseppe Balsamo, famously known as Count Alessandro di Cagliostro, was an adventurer and a self-styled magus who became the subject of European interest as his glamorous lifestyle and interest lead many of the members of high society to be intrigued. A mysterious man who calls himself a doctor, a philanthropist, and a magus who know his way towards Spiritual Evocation and Alchemy, stories even say that he was a prince exiled from his home country. With him being a famous figure during the time, his influence had many others interested in the occult during the 19th century.

However, he was nothing but a fraud, a Quack of Quacks, neither a doctor nor a mage. Only having knowledge of mystery never mastering any but one, immortality. His showing only lead to the further deterioration of the otherwise already dying Mystery and forced the Clock Tower to create the Department of Modern Magecraft Theory, Norwich, during the turn of the 20th century. Not only that, he was also an influence in the French Revolution, as his involvement in the Affair of the Diamond Necklace, which some say he was the mastermind of, helped the populace’s hatred of the Monarchy, in particular to Queen Marie Antoinette, which lead to it’s collapse. While he was regarded as a hero by many, others feared him and slandered his reputation to destroy the image of him being a hero. That being said… not even that can truly be said to be the “truth”. The origins of the man called Alessandro di Cagliostro are shrouded in mystery. All that is known is that he is a talented scam artist and liar, with the truth of who and what he actually was completely unknown to all but himself...

First mentioned to have been Urabe-no-Suetake’s Caster-class servant in Heian-kyo, he makes his first proper appearance in Ordeal Call II: Id, Wastehole of the Unsalvagable as a Pretender-class servant and the final apostle of the Foreign World.
  • The Ageless: How he survived past his recorded death. He possesses immortality in the form of agelessness and super-regeneration, though his profile adamantly says it is not true immortality.
  • Arch-Enemy: To the Count of Monte Cristo. While history recorded him dying in prison in 1795, he actually escaped and had several battles with Dantès before being killed by him. During his motive rant, Cagliostro credits himself for killing Dantès' attachments three times: the time he personally killed someone Dantès loved, the time his companion Michael Roa drained Concetta of her blood, and when he stabbed the protagonist, though they survive thanks to the Hassan of the Shining Star’s timely use of a borrowed Attendre, Espérer. He even has the Hero's Archenemy (False) skill, firmly cementing himself as this for the Dantès.
  • At Least I Admit It: Some of his My Room lines outright warn the Protagonist not to believe any lies Pretenders will make, including himself.
  • Beethoven Was an Alien Spy: In addition to his meeting with Dantès as established in the main story, his My Room lines reveal both that he was a member of the Prague Association and through them knew Mozart, and that he survived his 1838 encounter with Dantès to go on and meet Holmes and Helena in 1891 while they were in the Himalayas on the run from the Clock Tower.
  • Bling of War: His third Ascension features incredibly gaudy clothes and accessories he wears while fighting.
  • Breaking Old Trends: He's the first Apostle of the Foreign World to be a 4-star Servant.
  • Hero-Worshipper: Downplayed for him; two of his My Room lines express his interest in Oberon and Hephaistion for being the first two Chaldean Pretenders in his usual suave voice. The two of them don't have any My Room lines specifically for him, however so it's unknown what they really think of him.
  • I Lied: He constantly and frequently lies for his own benefit, with even his skills being molded around just how much he lies as well as his skills at techniques that facilitate deception, such as creating forgeries of precious items and disguising himself. Lying about who he is and what he can do is so integral to himself and his legend that he can only ever be summoned as a Pretender.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: His alias of Count Alessandro di Cagliostro is so well known in the public consciousness that not even the Heroic Spirit summoned from the Throne goes by his actual name of Giuseppe Balsamo. Subverted, however, in that his profile makes it clear that Giuseppe Balsamo and Alessandro di Cagliostro are effectively both false names, with the “true identity” of “Count Cagliostro” being a complete unknown riddled with theories and stories that nobody can truly consider or confirm to be “the truth”.
  • Reports of My Death Were Greatly Exaggerated: History records him dying in prison in 1795, but he somehow escaped and met Dantès in 1838.

    Cait Cu Cernpriestess

Baobhan Sith/Tam Lin Tristan

"Heeh... I only unwillingly came because your calling voice is so persistent but you seem so happy. Then I shall make a contract out of consideration of those wishful eyes. I'm Pretender, Cait Cu Cernpriestess. As you can see, I’m an esteemed 'Priestess of Enshrined Deity' so don't talk to me casually like you did until now."

Baobhan Sith's summer form.

  • Ascended Meme: Cernunnos spinning in her NP Sequence is a nod to how some people thought Cernunnos was spinning during the infamous boss battle when it was actually the Storm Border circling it.
    • Baobhan wearing Cernunnos-themed clothing or holding a Cernunnos plushy was common fanart prior to this.
  • Bespectacled Cutie: Her 2nd Ascension has her wearing glasses and despite her behaviour she looks adorable with them.
  • Cool Big Sis: According to her My Room Dialogue with Gray, she sees herself as this for her.
  • Counter-Attack: She has a passive called Priestess of the Enshrined Deity, which grants an On-Defense-Activate buff to the front line called Enshrined Deity's Wrath which increases Critical Damage for a single turn.
  • Discard and Draw: Her 3rd Ascension leans a lot more towards her Faerie Knight side, sacrificing a bit of her role as Cernunnos' priestess. As a result, her passive ability to increase her allies' NP generation rate becomes weaker, but her critical damage against Man Attribute enemies improves.
  • Everybody Knew Already: According to her Extra profile entry, pretty much everyone at ServaFes knew that Cait Cu Cerpriestess is actually Baobhan Sith even before the protagonist and AlCas paid her a visit to reconcile with her.
  • Hero-Worshipper: Her second ascension is clearly emulating Aesc; and her dialogue indicates she even researched her in LB6 Camelot's archives. Ironically she only realizes the connection Aesc has with her mother in her My Room dialogue.
  • I Have Many Names: Cait Cu Cernpriestess, Baobhan Sith, Tam Lin Tristan...
  • Hidden Depths: Her Second Ascension might seem like nothing more than a blatant imitation of Aesc, but it turns out that Baobhan Sith really is a bookworm at heart.
  • Jack of All Trades: She's an all-in-one servant, capable of extending allies' regen buffs and enemies' aliment debuffs, removing enemy buffs, alongside increasing the NP damage of other allies, while increasing her NP gauge and also dealing AOE damage with her NP and proving a buff similar to Merlin while also inflicting aliment debuffs as well.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: She's still abrasive and cruel, but now that acting that way isn't necessary for survival, she's starting to show a more empathetic side. Throughout the event she puts on a bluster that she's responsible for one of the Cernunnos clones menacing Hawaltria, while in truth she's trying to take the blame unto herself while she calms the rampaging god. Her "hideout" while this is going on is actually someone's forest home that she's taking care of while they're away.
  • Meaningful Name: "Cernpriestess" combines the "Cern" in "Cernunnos" with "priestess" to indicate that she's the Beast God's new priestess. The "Cait" and "Cú" in the name are derived from the cait sith and cú sith, both of which are Irish spirits and also provides a huge clue as to who's behind the pen name: Baobhan Sith.
  • Oh, Crap!: Discounting Lady Avalon who isn't revealing her true identity anytime soon and Nine-Tattoo Dragon Eliza who isn't exactly hiding anything, Cait Cu Cernpriestess was exposed the fastest out of the Pretenders, so naturally she sports this look when Altria Caster successfully identifies her.
  • Spin Attack: Her Noble Phantasm has Cernunnos spinning with his beam attacking everyone. A nod to how some thought that the one spinning was the beast god when in reality it was the Storm Border.
  • Starting a New Life: Both emulating Aesc and being Cernunnos' priestess is Baobhan wanting to have a motivation beyond simply being a villain for survival.
  • Summon Bigger Fish: She is capable of summoning Cernunnos just like she did in Avalon le Fae.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Formerly the weakest of the Tam Lin both in lore and gameplay, Baobhan Sith has received a major boost in power and utility in both those domains in comparison to the Summer versions of her peers which don't necessarily change their normal parameters and whose kits are more like interesting sidegrades to those of their normal versions.
  • Trash Talk: As revealed in her profile, she spends the entire time her noble phantasm is active slinging verbal abuse in every single direction and at anyone within earshot of it.

    Hephaistion

Iskandar's Shadow/Hephaistion Mnemosyne

"I have come forth in response to your summons. I am Hephaistion... hey! What's the meaning of this? Why do I remember?! You're... ah, I see. So that's how it is. Just think of it as the influence of a peculiar class. You see, I'm kind of like a "Hephaistion... imposter". My class is Pretender... but I'd like you to call me Faker if you don't mind."

A hero who initially introduces herself as Hephaistion, one of the generals of Iskandar. In reality, this is Hephaistion's unnamed twin sister. The twins' birth was orchestrated by Iskandar's mother to give him both a faithful advisor and a magical defender. The brother was the former, and the sister was the latter, raised to be the King of Conquerors' body-double and used to spread false rumors of Iskandar's appearance to make her the target of any enemy mages. She is ultimately a warrior who followed her liege, though she resents his refusal to abandon his quest to Okeanos and hates his army for following his reckless dream.

She originates from Lord El-Melloi II Case Files, where she was the Fakernote  Servant of the Big Bad Doctor Heartless. She made her Fate/Grand Order debut with the "Lady Reines's Case Files" event rerun, and is the first Pretender permanently available in the summons.

  • Barrier Maiden: Served as this for Iskandar, taking enemy curses in his stead. This comes up in her third skill, Blessing of the Nameless which causes her to absorb all Curse debuffs from the other active party members to herself.
  • Battle Cry: If she has the chance to use her Extra Attack, she'll ride in on her chariot using the same one Iskandar uses. All together now, "AAAAAAALALALALAIE!!!"
  • Body Double: Back in Fate/Zero, Waver noted that Iskander/Alexander bears little, if any, resemblance to how he is usually depicted in art and in writing. Her existence is to explain why this is the case in Fate, as she served as his double in life.
  • Boring, but Practical: Compared to other Pretenders, Hephaistion's kit is a much simpler NP nuking set with a side of tanking and Anti-Caster gimmicks. It's also all she needs as she is the only single-target NP user in the Class, and an Arts NP at that for ease of looping, giving her a unique and potent niche as a boss killer against the three Knight Classes, Casters, and Alter Egos. The lattermost is especially welcome as Alter Egos in Fate/Grand Order have historically spawned some pretty nasty fights, and they had no real counter-Class before Pretenders existed — Musashi and Kama with their Anti-Alter Ego skills were their only answer, and they are limited SSR Servants while Hephaistion is a general pool SR.
  • Call-Back: She has a few nods to Case Files, such as asking you to call her "Faker" or expressing surprise that "that Lord (Waver)" is summoned here.
  • Car Fu: Her Noble Phantasm, Hecatic Wheel, has her ram her opponent with her chariot.
  • Chariot Pulled by Cats: Hers is pulled by the skeletal remains of some winged dragon-like beasts that breathe lightning.
  • Commonality Connection:
    • She asks Emiya if he has ever been called a Faker too.
    • This is why she was so adamant about helping you in the Plus Episode of the "Lady Reines" rerun. Because she knew what it was like to be an unrecorded shadow of a being, just like the protagonist's lost memory. For that matter, that's why the Manager of the Rail Zeppelin, the Shadow of Rita Rozay-en, also helped both of them.
  • Composite Character: Her being a Pretender isn't just due to her own past as Iskandar's Shadow. It's also because her Spirit Origin is mixed with Mnemosyne, Chaldea's forgotten observational device.
  • Connected All Along: At least, more connected than what it seemed like. Her Bond Craft Essence is about a torn piece of Iskandar's cloak, which looks awfully like the one shown in Waver's Bond Craft Essence, implying that the catalyst that Waver used to summon Iskandar used to belong to Faker.
  • Cuteness Proximity: At least if her bright blush when seeing young Alexander is any indication.
  • Dangerous Forbidden Technique: Due to her being an Body Double for Iskandar, she can also use Ionioi Hetairoi. However, because of her status, using it will destroy her Saint Graph in the process.
  • Defeat Means Friendship: Annoyed with their genial connection to her old enemies, she challenges the Protagonist to a duel to see if they're fit to be her comrade.
  • Depending on the Artist: Her unbraided hair in her card art and sprites seems shorter than in the Case Files novel and anime artwork, about shoulder-length.
  • Draw Aggro: "Blessing of the Nameless" forces enemies to target her, referencing Faker's ability to take enemy curses in Iskandar's stead. It also has an defense buff and NP gain buff, so that she can take some hits while potentially retaliating with an NP as well.
  • Even the Girls Want Her: She has the Brynhildr's Beloved trait.
  • Gameplay and Story Integration
    • As Iskandar's body double and shield against curses, she has skills that apply target focus on her, absorb curses from other party members, and grant her class advantage over Casters to reflect Iskandar's Rider class.
    • Given how the Pretender Class involves those who lie for their own benefit or who spin impersonations to the point they deceive the world itself, Iskandar's Shadow is actually fitting in this regard. Her entire role was not just to act as a body double, but to also accept curses targeted at Iskandar and mislead people to thinking she was him, best referenced by how her appearance befits how Iskandar appears in history books (heterochromia, short and black hair) but not in Fate's reality.
  • Gameplay and Story Segregation: Her "He Too Is Iskandar (Fake)" skill is meant for her to use Iskandar's Noble Phantasm and skills. One of the effects within the skill is an Arts boost in which Iskander (in both his adult form and his child form) lack any sort of Arts boost.
  • Godzilla Threshold: When the situation in "Lady Reines's Case Files" becomes untenable and she has no way of seeing the Protagonist's memories back to them, she uses her Pretender status to take on Iskandar's name so she can invoke the Ionian Hetairoi. Not only does this greatly overtax her Spirit Origin, but she absolutely loathes the Hetairoi and under normal circumstances refuses to let Iskandar summon her among them. That she calls on them herself is a testament to how she's willing to do anything to save the Protagonist's memories.
  • Historical Character's Fictional Relative: She is the twin sister of Hephaistion, one of Iskandar's commanders.
  • Inconsistent Spelling: Her (fake) name is spelled "Hephaestion" in the English subtitles of the Case Files anime, but Grand Order goes with "Hephaistion". The spelling with two Es is more common for the real guy and partially Latinized, while the spelling with two Is is more literal to the Greek.
  • Magical Eye: Her Mystic Eyes of Compulsion let her control others' body movements. She doesn't use them in gameplay, but they flash in her Skill animations and she uses them in her Extra Attack animation to hold the enemy in place before hitting them with Hecatic Wheel.
  • Magic Knight: She prefers to fight with her sword but is also skilled in magecraft taught to her by Olympias, Iskandar's mother. She carries a staff to use her magecraft with in a couple animations, but the sword is her main weapon.
  • Never Gets Drunk: Thanks to being a servant of the Greek God of wine, Dionysus, she rarely gets drunk no matter how much alcohol she consumes, and enjoys a good glass of the stuff. In her Valentine's scene, when sampling the Valentine's chocolates she made to give to Iskandar with the protagonist, she's the only one who drinks the chocolate cocktails she intended to share with him, and gets slightly drunk after 'having 30 cups too many' and it's heavily implied that she used alcohol from the Age of Gods for those. When she was alive, she regularly outdrank a majority of Iskandar's Army.
  • Never Given a Name: She was never given a name of her own because she was raised to be a decoy for anyone trying to curse Iskandar. He tried to give her a name to have an identity of her own, but she turned him down.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Because she never had a real name, she's mostly referred to as either "Hephaistion", her twin brother's name that she took, or "Faker", the class Dr. Heartless summoned her in. As a Chaldea Servant, she wants you to call her "Faker."
  • Original Character: Unlike most Servants who have their roots in ancient times, she is not a character from history or mythology but rather an original creation.
  • Power Copying: Her Skill "For He is Another Iskandar (Fake)" gives her copies of Iskandar's Skills and Noble Phantasms at a lower rank. This includes Ionioi Hetairoi.
  • Refusal of the Call: She is one of the few members of Iskandar's army, if not the only one, to not be part of the Ionioi Hetairoi, Iskandar's Noble Phantasm. Not because Iskandar doesn't consider her part of his army, far from it, but because she actively refuses to accept the call following her gaining knowledge of the Wars of the Diadochi — she is as loyal to Iskandar as ever, but she will not fight alongside the Ionioi Hetairoi who she sees as traitors.
  • The Resenter: While she still admires Iskandar, she has become disillusioned with the Ionioi Hetairoi after they continued to unquestionably follow Iskandar's quest for Okeanos, even after it became painfully obvious it didn't exist. The army became a flat-out Broken Pedestal for her after she was nearly summoned by Iskandar's Noble Phantasm, upon which she was granted knowledge of the Wars of the Diadochi, note  and refused the call out of disgust that the Ionioi Hetairoi would betray Iskandar's ideals.
  • Ripple-Effect-Proof Memory: Servants don't usually retain their memories after being returned to the Throne of Heroes, but for reasons unknown and to her great confusion, she vividly remembers the events of Lord El-Melloi II Case Files. It's partly why she prefers to be called "Faker"; it was her Class in her series of origin, and even without it in FGO, she feels the moniker fits her to a T and uses it to honor her previous Master, Dr. Heartless. The reason for this recollection is that she is part Mnemosyne, the system named after the goddess of memory, allowing her to remember her previous summons as long as she is summoned by Chaldea.
  • Scissors Cuts Rock: While Pretender servants normally have a class disadvantage against Caster enemies, her "For He Is Another Iskandar (Fake)" skill grants her class advantage against Caster enemies instead.
  • Shared Unusual Trait: Actually has a plot significance; the historical depiction of Alexander/Iskandar greatly differ from his appearance in the Fate series, as in real life he was a short-statured man with heterochromia. Hephaistion here fulfills those criteria, which covers the Plot Hole regarding Iskandar's looks and depictions.
  • Shock and Awe: She uses lightning in her attacks. It's red to contrast Iskandar's blue.
  • Shown Their Work: The staff she wields for her magecraft animation and in her Second Ascension artwork is a thyrsus, a Hellenic Greek tool associated with Dionysus, the god she worships. They were wrapped in vines and leaves and topped with grapes or a pinecone.
  • Spam Attack: Her kit is designed towards spamming her NP as much as possible. Her first skill, "For He Is Another Iskandar (Fake)", grants her both an Arts and Buster buff, she has the "High-Speed Divine Words" skill to instantly unleash her NP, and finally her third skill, "Blessing of the Nameless", not only increases her defense and forces enemies to target her, she also gets an NP gain buff from it as well. Finally, her NP, "Hecatic Wheel: Wheel of Demonic Heaven", reduces an enemy's Arts and Buster resistance, opening up further NP gain from attacking them with Arts cards.
  • Square Race, Round Class: Much like Voyager, she originally belongs into another class but she instead got put into this game as a different class which she doesn't exactly 100% fit into (See Suspiciously Similar Substitute above for more details on that). In truth, she is a Pretender because she isn't merely Faker as you know her.
  • Theme Music Power-Up: "You Are My King", Iskandar's Leitmotif from Fate/Zero, plays during the last battle in the "Lady Reines's Case Files -Plus Episode-" event when she uses Ionioi Hetairoi and fights alongside Iskandar.
  • This Is Unforgivable!: This is why she's not present when Iskandar summons his Ionian Hetairoi. She is so disgusted at her fellow soldiers turning on each other and ripping Iskandar's empire apart in the Wars of the Diadochi that she outright refuses to fight alongside them, even if it means rejecting Iskandar's own call to arms.
  • Undying Loyalty: In "Lady Reines's Case Files" she refers to the Protagonist as her "comrade" rather than her Master out of respect for her previous Master from Lord El-Melloi II Case Files, Doctor Heartless.

"Hi there! My name is Lady Avalon. Of course that’s my real name. I am but a magician of flowers from the ends of paradise. Since this is quite an opportunity, I’d like to watch over your journey for a little while. My best regards to you from now on, Master."

A woman who appeared out of nowhere one summer day, wearing a summer dress elegant as a flower. A woman who possesses beauty that can bewitch anyone if they were to look at her, yet she is also someone who come off as almost emotionless as she observes humanity's progress. If you were to ask her who she is, she would say that she is the younger sister of Merlin, the Magus of Flowers. But you feel like you have seen her before. Maybe in some other Chaldea in another timeline...

She first appears in the Summer 2022 event "Arctic Summer World ~ Chaldea's Midsummer Tour of the Magical Park", and plays a major role in the Fate/Grand Order Arcade collaboration event "Spiralling Testament World: Lilim Harlot ~ The Unapplauded Rose~". She also serves as a commentator during the obstacle-course game show-themed "Chaldea Fairy Knight Cup" and "Fūun Karakuri Illya's Castle ~Kashin Koji's Humble Ambition~"

  • Art Evolution: Her base ascension is redrawn from the art shown in Arcade, giving it a comparatively softer appearance when they are placed side by side.
  • Boring, but Practical: Kit-wise, she's basically Merlin but in Arts instead of Buster with a couple of extra gimmicks to differentiate the two of them. While this brings little new to the table from a gameplay perspective, it's by no means bad: Merlin remains a de facto Buster support servant even after finally gaining competition post-Lostbelt 6, so Lady Avalon doing the same for Arts is a welcome addition to the archetype.
  • Breaking Old Trends:
    • She's the first Summer servant to have their non-Summer form not be from the Mobile game, but the Arcade game. She's also the first Summer servant to have their Noble Phantasm be a non-damaging, supportive one.
    • As a Pretender, she doesn't have a True Name Reveal scene like her predecessors. Her Bond 5 profile after completing the "Arctic Summer World" event reveals that she refuses to reveal her true identity lest she disappears, and she most likely gained the Pretender class due to refusing to share these details. However, it's implied that Ibuki Douji figured it out anyway. She's also the sole Pretender to have the names of her unique skills be immediately revealed instead of being hidden until the player completes her debut story.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: An exceptionally powerful magus that is just as ditzy, yet even more unreliable than her male counterpart given her chaotic nature and Bystander Syndrome.
  • Bystander Syndrome: Prefers to stand by and watch Arthur's journey play out on its own rather than getting directly involved.
  • Call-Back: A few of her attack animations reference back to Altria's offensive attacks, such as the parasol in her second ascension turning into Excalibur during her Extra animation.
  • Casting Gag: Like her Arcade self, she's voiced by Ayako Kawasumi, who mainly voices the various versions of Artoria, as well as a few others, like Fou. But because the male version of Merlin shares his voice actor, Takahiro Sakurai, with Arthur, so too do their female counterparts. Staff have joked that if she had a Fou of her own, he would be voiced by Sakurai, just to keep the gag going.
  • Clap Your Hands If You Believe: When meeting Lady Avalon, Alcas immediately identifies Lady Avalon's looming secret and "convoluted" connection to Merlin, to which she kindly asks Alcas not to dispel the illusion of her Spirit Origin – and Alcas confirms she's not lying on the basis of secretly being a villain or something, she really will disappear if her identity is compromised.
  • Combat Stilettos: Wears a pair of heels across all of her ascensions.
  • Cool Big Sis: Inverted. While she views herself as one and introduces herself to the protagonist as a big sister in Arcade, in her Final Ascension in mobile, she'll ask to refer to her as your little sister instead. She also calls herself Merlin's little sister and insists on it even as some people suspect her of not being who she says she is.
  • Dramatic Irony: If you don't have any idea about Fate/Grand Order Arcade, her appearance might come off as a mystery as even as her cover story is picked apart, she refuses to tell what her True Name is. If you are familiar with Fate/Grand Order Arcade, then it is very obvious that she is Merlin from the Prototype timeline who for whatever reason refuses to tell who she is.
  • Ethereal White Dress: Her outfits in her ascensions are primarily white, hinting at her otherworldly nature.
  • Fertile Feet: Like her male counterpart, flowers bloom wherever she walks.
  • Forgetful Jones: Throughout the "Arctic Summer World" event, she is shown that she has a hard time remembering what is going on in the event itself. She forgets that this world has a Cath Palug, she forgot that she hired the Backspear Boys to treat Flower Park as well the tasks she assigned to her, and even her shop line has you reminding her that you have met before.
  • Gameplay and Story Integration:
    • In a strange way, her not having a good synergy with Arthur Pendragon (Prototype) due to her being Arts support makes sense considering how the two's dynamic works. While Altria finds Merlin to be tolerable, Arthur finds Merlin (Prototype) to be annoying due to how carefree she is, with her seemingly refusing to help him because she finds his journey to be more amusing that way.
    • Her kit being remarkably similar to our world's Merlin also falls under this, as she is Merlin, just him from another universe.
    • Because she claims to be Merlin's little sister and most definitely not another version of him, she doesn't have the Merlin trait, allowing her to benefit from Oberon's Anti-Human Order passive unlike Merlin himself.
  • Gender Flip: Claims to be Merlin's younger sister, but is actually a female version of him from the Prototype universe.
  • Gendered Outfit: Wears a different outfit from her Arcade counterpart in her ascensions, but it still appears to be a gender-flipped version of her male counterpart's outfit.
  • Glowing Eyes: Her eyes glow during her "Winds of Avalon" Noble Phantasm.
  • Guys Smash, Girls Shoot: Downplayed Trope, as unlike her Arcade counterpart, Grand Order Lady Avalon does use physical attacks like her male counterpart, particularly in her ascensions. However, her attacks are still primarily magecraft-focused compared to Merlin, who mainly fights using the Caliburn with some occasional magic attacks mixed into his moveset.
  • Happily Ever After: By her admission, she prefer it if that good things never end and go on forever. This is concerning as it is the idealogical opposite of Queen Draco aka Beast VI/S. It also has shades of Manaka's goal of an Eternal Camelot implying at the very least a connection to Beast VI/G.
  • Historical Gender Flip: Is a gender flip of the main Fate universe's Merlin, making her technically a gender flip of the mythological Merlin as well.
  • Human-Demon Hybrid: Like her male counterpart who is half-incubus, she is a half-succubus and has the Mixed Blood EX skill.
  • Identical Stranger: Lampshaded and Played for Laughs. The characters acknowledge that she looks extremely similar to Merlin and even mistaken her for him, but she quickly dismisses suspicion by claiming that she's his little sister.
  • Informed Attractiveness: Her profile layers on how attractive she's meant to be seen, even though pretty much every female Servant is designed to be attractive in some way.
  • In-Series Nickname: One of the nicknames she proposes the protagonist call her is "LA", an acronym for "Lady Avalon".
  • Mark of the Supernatural: Her reddish-purple eyes combined with her long, white hair gives off hints of her otherworldly nature.
  • Moveset Clone: Several of her attack animations are quite similar to Saber and Caster Altria as shown here.
  • Mystical White Hair: Has long white hair like her male counterpart.
  • One-Steve Limit: She's called Merlin (Prototype) in her Arcade release, however, upon being ported over into Fate/Grand Order the mobile game she instead receives the title "Lady Avalon" to further differentiate her from her male counterpart.
  • Parasol of Pain: Her Second Ascension has her replacing her Magic Staff with a parasol that she charges with her magecraft.
  • Power Floats: Is shown to be capable of floating during her attacks. However, unlike her Arcade counterpart that floats throughout the entirety of battles, she mainly stays grounded.
  • Same Character, But Different: From her Arcade counterpart in terms of skills and animations. For example, instead of contrasting Merlin by primarily using magecraft at long-range over physical attacks as she does in Arcade, she works similarly to him in battle in that she does both, especially by her third ascension.
  • Screw This, I'm Out of Here!: In her Room Lines, she freaks out when she realizes her world's Arthur is in Chaldea, denying to the player that she knows him. When he goes to confront her, she quickly runs off.
  • Sociopathic Hero: Unlike her male counterpart who cares for the world in his own roundabout way, she is described as a "cold magus" who cares little for humanity or the stories they create. Any direct involvement on her part is for kicks.
  • Support Party Member: Lady Avalon's kit is remarkably similar to her male counterpart's, although she leans towards supporting Arts crit Servants as opposed to Busters critical Servants.
  • Unseen No More: Initially only appeared in Grand Order as The Voice in Arthur's Noble Phantasm up until her release as a Servant.
  • Wowing Cthulhu: Invoked. During the Lilim Harlot event, Lady Avalon states that she's following the Protagonist and Draco around expressly because she expects the Protagonist will do something batshit insane to salvage a Surprisingly Happy Ending from the fine mess that is being Beast VI/S's Master. She wasn't disappointed.

"Emmm... Nine-Tattoo Dragon Eliza! My class is, Pretender? Pwease take care of me! Awake, Mt. Liang! Yes! I'll massacwe any evil that defies us!"

The welfare Servant of Halloween 2022.
A younger version of Elisabeth but fused with the 23rd among the 36 Heavenly Spirits of the 108 Stars of Destiny, the Nine-Tattoo Dragon, Shi Jin, who now appears to have been turned into her nine sectioned staff.

  • Always with You: She's sad at the prospect of eventually having to part ways with the protagonist, but tearfully states that she'll always remember them wherever she is.
  • Cheerful Child: A happy little tyke who is all smiles.
  • Children Are Innocent: She is the youngest-looking of the Elisabeths and the most like a regular girl rather than being... Elisabeth. She's also the only one who isn't interested in becoming an idol. Additionally, compared to her 'classmates' who qualified with more nefarious means, this Eliza is classified as a Pretender simply because she's 'playing pretend' like how a small child would.
  • Combination Attack: Her Noble Phantasm summons her regular, Halloween Caster, Brave, Mechas, JAPAN and Cinderella versions (and Carmilla) to fight with her. They all soar into the sky and all gain a dragon-shaped aura, then crash down on the opponent.
  • Creepy Child: Despite being turned into a kid this Halloween, the less innocent aspects of Elisabeth are still around; her peppy and childlike way of saying words like "kill", "murder" and "massacre" when attacking is akin to a toddler Red Riding Hood.
  • Cute Little Fangs: And by golly they're adorable. This is more prominent in her Final Ascension art.
  • Elmuh Fudd Syndwome: Due to her young age, she speaks like this. This ranges from having childish pronunciations of certain words to having difficulty saying longer English ones like "information".
  • Expy: The dragon Elisabeth has as her nine-section staff sports a very similar face to Supushan.
  • Flying Broomstick: She can ride her nine section staff like a broomstick.
  • Fusion Dance: Elisabeth and Shi Jin somehow fused together to become this form, though it's Elisabeth mainly in control; Shi Jin turned into her dragon staff.
  • Living Weapon: As part of Eliza's Pretender Saint Graph, Shi Jin has been turned into this complete with cartoonish expressions.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: The smallest of the Elisabeths and packs a powerful punch.
  • Pun: The sectioned-staff weapon is also known as 蟠龍棍, panlong gun, "coiling dragon staff". Makes sense why Shi Jin took on that form.
  • Token Mini-Moe: The only child version of Elisabeth Bathory shown so far in the game, and also the smallest (and youngest) Pretender.
  • Uniformity Exception: Before Cagliostro showed up she was the only Pretender of the Man attribute while her classmates are of the Earth attribute.

"Hey there, so this is Chaldea, then? I've heard about it but it really gives you the chills once you're here in person! Oops, introductions, introductions. I am Oberon. Oberon, the Fairy King. As you can see, I'm just playing at being king. But I'm quite good at breaking the ice. I'll do what little I can to be of use to you... I'll be in your care, then?"

The king of the fairies in medieval and Renaissance European literature, most famous today for his role in William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. According to Oberon, his wife in Shakespeare's play, Titania, is a purely fictional creation of Shakespeare's.

All that was described above are all but lies when it comes to this Oberon. He is not a Servant from Proper Human History, but a doomsday device, created by the Lostbelt Britain consumed by Sefar, to destroy Faerie Britain out of disgust for its inhabitants. As the will of the isle personified, he naturally is named Vortigern, a name shared with the uncle of King Arthur, the first incarnated will of Britain and personification of the white dragon who tried to reject the incoming Age of Man in Proper Human History. He was first born 1,000 years ago as the King of Mors when he tried to bring an end to the land of fairies in the Great Calamity, but was slain after a decades-long war. He was reborn during the present day in the Autumn Forest of Wales, where the outsider fairies claimed him as their king, making him "Oberon".

He debuts in "Lostbelt No. 6: Fairy Round Table Domain, Avalon le Fae", serving as an ally for the first 2 parts and eventually the true antagonist and Final Boss in the Collapse Arc as he is the one behind the threat of the planet collapsing that forced Chaldea to enter the Lostbelt. His playable version was eventually released as a Limited Servant during the Lostbelt 6 Conclusion Campaign, getting the honor of being the 1st Pretender in the game and the franchise as a whole in the process.

See his page for tropes related to Oberon.

"…You’re the one that called for me, right? I am the god of rain, Tlaloc. Or also Huitzilopochtli, the tribal divinity and god of war. Please use the name of the personage you feel is most appropriate. Either one... it makes no difference to me."
—Summon line before clearing Nahui Mictlan

"I've been constructed… no, I've arrived in answer to your summons. Hello. Servant, Pretender. If you know me already there's no need to hide it, so I'll positively introduce myself. I'm the largest aquatic city of the Azteca ruled over by Tlaloc and Huitzilopochtli, and you could say I'm also the land of your permanent residence. Please feel free to affectionately call me Tenochtitlan. …Okay?"
—Summon line after clearing Nahui Mictlan

A double-Divine Spirit Servant that contains two Saint Graphs working in tandem, the one usually in control being the Ruler-Class Tlaloc; the Aztec god of lightning, rain and earthquakes. It was said that he ruled the fourth layer of the upper world, or heavens, Tlalocan, a place of unending springtime and a paradise of green plants for those who died violently from phenomena associated with water, such as by lightning, drowning, and water-borne diseases.

Hidden under Tlaloc's Saint Graph, coming out when beckoned by battle, is the Berserker-Class Huitzilopochtli; the god of war, sun, and human sacrifice in Aztec mythology. He wielded Xiuhcoatl, the fire serpent as a weapon and he was known to have battled his 400 older brothers and his sister, Coyolxauhqui, as a newborn.

However, in truth she is neither of them. Her true name is Tenochtitlan, the city where the two gods were worshipped. The Aztec capital was built on Lake Texcoco where a nature spirit presided, and as a place of constant Human Sacrifice, the blood-soaked altars being a form of blood sacrifice eventually gave the spirit a deification tied to the city itself that the Human Order recognized. Taking cues from both Tlaloc and Huitzilopochtli to derive an identity of its own, Tenochtitlan fights both as a human Servant and as a mechanized personification of the city.

  • Anthropomorphic Personification: Of the city of Tenochtitlan itself.
  • Born Unlucky: Has an E-rank Luck Stat, and Tenochtitlan had most of their buildings left in ruins after the Aztec Empire was conquered by the Spaniards.
  • Breaking Old Trends: Tlaloc's the first Pretender to have a Quick Noble Phantasm.
  • Cain and Abel: Huitzilopochtli and Coyolxauhqui, who represented the sun and moon respectively, are always in constant battle against each other, which the Aztecs believed was the day and night cycle.
  • Confusion Fu: Like Oberon before her, she can switch her Spirit Origin's class and abilities as needed while her True Name is unknown, which is a hint she's in the same Class as him.
  • Contrasting Sequel Antagonist: To her fellow antagonistic Pretender Oberon Vortigern from the previous Lostbelt.
    • Oberon Vortigern is Chaotic Evil and is initially dressed in bright colors before switching to dark clothes in his true identity. Tenochitlan is Lawful Good and is dressed in black before switching to white in her final ascensions.
    • Oberon Vortigern is affable and whimsical as Oberon but is openly bitter and hateful as Vortigern. Tenochitlan starts off moody and distant but becomes more straightforward and affectionate as she gets closer.
    • Both are an Anthropomorphic Personification of a location, but Oberon Vortigern was born out of Lostbelt Britain's disgust for its inhabitants and exists as a way for the cursed land to commit suicide. Tenochitlan is a city who deeply cares for her inhabitants and wishes to exist once more as a city.
    • Oberon Vortigern starts off as an ally of Chaldea before betraying them to achieve his real purpose. Tenochitlan is antagonistic at first before being convinced to pull off a Heel–Face Turn.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: While she's affectionate towards the protagonist the instant she's summoned, her expressions in each Ascension get more affectionate, going from a frown in her First and openly smiling in her Final.
  • Did They or Didn't They?: Her Valentine's ends with her slowly approaching the protagonist and inviting them to "explore her innermost depths." The scene then cuts to black, leaving what happened afterwards ambiguous.
  • Does This Remind You of Anything?: Being a city, Tenochtitlan shows her affection to the Protagonist by inviting them to live inside her and pilot her giant robot. The wording comes across as G-Rated Sex; though to her it really is as intimate.
  • Genius Loci: If her true name is any indication, she is the sentient personification of a city. More specifically, she was a nature spirit who dwelled in Lake Texcoco, before becoming the heart of Tenochititlan itself after it was built on the lake.
  • God in Human Form: A notable aversion, as Tlaloc and Huitzilopochtli are actual Divine Spirits manifesting as a Servant without workarounds like using a Divided Spirit, a Pseudo-Servant host, piggybacking off of another's Spirit Origin, or even being a minor Divine Spirit like Stheno and Euryale. Their mutual Servant container should be far too inferior to even house one of them, leading many to question how Tezcatlipoca even summoned them in that state. Double Subverted with the reveal of her real identity: Tenochtitlan is neither of the two gods, but rather the personification of the city where they were worshipped, but still has a form of divinity due to the Aztecs' religious practices. She is still a god after a fashion, just one that actually fits in the Servant container.
  • Human Resources: The Ōmeteōtl is actually powered by human blood. Fortunately she's got more than enough reserves built up from all the historical sacrifices, so there shouldn't be a need for a recharge.
  • Humongous Mecha: Her main offensive Noble Phantasm, the Ōmeteōtl Tenochtitlan, takes the form of a massive protector god formed from the city itself, complete with cockpit she can pilot it from. If summoned on its own it's relatively small, but if brought out from the city itself it takes much more massive proportions.
  • Last Stand: She activates her city's mech form to stop ORT in its tracks to stall it while the Shadow Border and Mictlan's sun/ORT's heart advance back to Chichen Itza. Unfortunately, ORT realizes it can just back off and fly around Mexico City. Tenochtitlan soon dies afterward from sheer exhaustion of having to hold the alien off, though content at having finally had a chance to protect her city for real.
  • Late-Arrival Spoiler: Her Valentine's Day scene doesn't bother with trying to hide her identity whatsoever and treats it as a given that her true name and powers are known regardless of where the player is in the plot. This is especially notable as the Valentine's event came a short two weeks after her debut in the game.
  • Made of Iron: She survives getting the crap beaten out of her by Camazotz, being flung several hundred meters into the final layer, and being beaten again by Nitocris Alter shortly after crawling her way back up. It's noted that her nature as a city means she's inherently built for defense.
  • Making a Splash: She incorporates water in her attacks such as summoning a statue to rain water on her foes.
  • Morality Pet: Tlaloc is shown so far to be the only character whom Izcalli shows actual kindness to, as he asks after her health after being shot by Tezcatlipoca even with the knowledge that as a Servant she would be able to tank far more than that. She notes that such sympathy, even if derived from worshipping her, is unbecoming of someone groomed to succeed Tezcatlipoca and believes he should keep those feelings to a minimum. Considering she is the personification of his beloved empire's capital, this makes sense.
  • Outside-Context Problem: Though Conceptual and/or Humanity Ensues Servants are nothing new, Tenochtitlan is the first case of a location being manifested as a Servant, She liberally throws around the names and powers of the gods Tlaloc and Huitzilopochtli to obfuscate the truth, briefly fooling Chaldea when their attempts to hit Tlaloc's conceptual weakness fail. Unfortunately she's not as out of context as she thinks as Nitocris Alter, who actually embodies a god, tears down the disguise as soon as she lays eyes on her.
  • Power Makes Your Hair Grow: The further her Ascensions, the longer her hair grows.
  • The Power of the Sun: Huitzilopochtli and Tlaloc were both the sun's of the Aztec Pantheon. With Huitzilopochtli being the final one and Tlaloc being the third.
  • Precision F-Strike: Drops one when she tries to stop ORT in its tracks.
Tlaloc: "YOU FFFFFFFFUCKING INVADERS!! You're not taking another step into MY CITY!"
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Her eyes turn red when Huitzilopochtli is in control.
  • Sharing a Body: Tlaloc and Huitzilopochtli share the same Servant container.
  • Shock and Awe: Lightning is one of Tlaloc's domains and she uses them in her attacks.
  • Situational Sword: Her Noble Phantasm increases her NP gain for one turn on a Waterside Battlefield, and she also gains a crit bonus. Fortunately, her first skill is able to provide a Waterside Battlefield buff.
  • Synchronization: As both the Ōmeteōtl and herself are incarnations of the same thing, she takes damage along with it, though at a lower level. When the mech destroys both of its arms trying to hold off ORT, her own arms are seen turning to stone and starting to crumble.
  • Token Good Teammate: The first Lawful Good Pretender, with Hephaistion being True Neutral while also dealing with her more mischevious classmates who are Chaotic-aligned.
  • Verbal Tic: She has a tendancy to end her sentences by trailing off into a "... okay?". This seemingly simple tic of hers actually has a lot of different meanings depending on the context and tone, making her a bit hard to understand when you're not used to it.
  • Water Is Womanly: Tlaloc is associated with rain and water, though in the original myth Tlaloc was a man. Here where Tlaloc is a girl, this fits her.
  • War God: Huitzilopochtli was often associated with war.
  • Weapon Specialization: Tlaloc carries a retractable whip around as her weapons of choice.
  • The Worf Effect: Huitzilopochtli's on both the giving and receiving end. She's introduced trashing Nitocris with ease, only to be flattened in one blow by Kukulkan.
