A list of characters from the Drakensang series.
Rhulana
An amazon met in Avestrue. She's a powerful warrior who's seeking revenge for her fallen hometown.
- Voiced by: Karen Schulz-Vobach (Ge), October Moore (En)
- Action Girl
- Blood Knight: While still being a good guy, she's all about fighting and war. In fact, the first time you meet her she's trying to force an innkeeper to reveal her the location of a large bear's lair, so that she could kill the thing.
- Boisterous Bruiser: Prefers to charge headlong into a fight than sneaking around, which is an attitude shared by Forgrimm.
- Chainmail Bikini: Don't let the uncovered flesh fool you, it gives her a great defense.
- Good Scars, Evil Scars: Courtesy of a slave trader.
- Of Corsets Sexy: The Amazonian armor looks like a metal corset.
- Pet the Dog: Comforts the character when he/she learns of Ardo's demise.
- Roaring Rampage of Revenge: Against the Dark Amazons who destroyed her hometown. One of her battle cries is "Vengeance for Khurkhum!"
- "Shaggy Dog" Story: She and her friend Aydan (who you meet later) were chasing a small gang of Mactaleanate (Dark Amazons) in order to receive Rondra's favour and fully reach the Amazon status. They eventually find their lair in Ferdok, but it turns out that Aydan has been turned by the Mactaleanate, Rhulana is nearly persuaded to join their ranks and murder the player character and even if the Dark Amazons are defeated for good, she's lost her best friend too.
- Sinister Scimitar: Aversion.
Dranor the Handsome

Gladys
The daughter of Cano and one of the greatest thieves in Ferdok. A cheerful and active girl with many useful skills.
- Voiced by: Maud Ackermann (Ge), Erin Ashe (En)
- The Ace: Medium at fighting, can cast spells and has many rogue skills.
- The Artful Dodger
- Berserk Button: She doesn't like being called "little".
- Dub Name Change: From Kladdis to Gladys.
- Fiery Redhead
- Generation Xerox: Like her father the designated rogue of the group. Sure, you can take Dranor instead of her, but he's a one trick-pony while she can do magic on top of that. Also, like her dad she takes on the role of being Vitriolic Best Buds with Forgrim who warm up to each other in the end (and it's her who Forgrim is telling the story of the prequel to).
- It's Personal: She took Ardo's death badly, and is determinated to find its murderer.
- Nightmare Fetishist: "Loves" the sight of the ruined buildings in Moorbridge Swamps.
- Royal Rapier
Gwendala
An elvish spellweaver captured by the Evil Tree in the Moorbridge marshes. Joins you after .
- Voiced by: Nadja Reichardt (Ge), Lani Minella (En)

- Moe
- Non-Standard Character Design: She has a unique way of running.
- Squishy Wizard
Jostanius
A air-headed, depressed mage who was imprisoned under the castle of the Bloody Mountains. Joins the party when rescued.
- Voiced by: Dietmar Wunder (Ge), Joe J. Thomas (En)
- Awesome, but Impractical: He is the most powerful caster among your party members and specialized in combat magic to boot, but the casting time severely restricts the use of his abilities (especially the fireball spell).
- Badass Bookworm
- Glass Cannon: Extremely useful in battle for his spells, but he can't endure much.
- Hidden Depths: Apparently he had a difficult relationship with his father. Also one of his lines implies that he's a wife/girlfriend waiting for him at home.
- In-Series Nickname: Jost (which is an actual German name, Jostianus not so much)
- Playing with Fire
Nasreddin
A Novadi mercenary hanging around in the dock quarters of Ferdok. He can be hired by the party for 200 golds. He's a skilled marksman and poisoner.
- Voiced by: Bernd Vollbrecht (Ge), Alan Heath (En), Diego Sabre (It)
- Battle Cry: A long howl when he wins.
- Only in It for the Money: You buy his service for 200 ducats.
- Poisoned Weapons: His waqqif is poisoned.
- So Long, and Thanks for All the Gear: Inverted trope - the guy himself isn't particularly remarkable (you have a bunch of other party members who can easily replace him), but his starter armor is the best you can get for your caster companions.
Traldar
A powerful knight and lord of Grimtooth Castle, he's the keeper of the Dragon's Eye. After the player helps drive off the orcs invading his fortress, he joins the party.
- Voiced by: Manfred Lehmann (Ge), Chris Wilcox (En)
- Bald Head of Toughness: He's a knight, Made of Iron, and completely bald.
- Big Fancy Sword: His precious sword, Tuskar.
- Made of Iron: One of the most resilient members.
- Master Swordsman: He wields a sword (when you meet him, he has already maxed out his sword proficiency) and already knows plenty of sword techniques.
- Odd Friendship: Tries to socialize with Ancoron of all people.
Ancoron
A bald elf met near Tallon, he seeks revenge on a gang of Goblins for what they did to his family.
- Voiced by: Thorsten Michaelis (Ge), Dave Rivas (En) Riccardo Rovatti (It)
- Angst: For having his family slaughtered by an evil ogre.
- Arrogant Kung-Fu Guy: Is quite obnoxious, but at least he does apologize when required.
- Glass Cannon: His defense and health aren't impressive, but his spear ability makes him extremely useful in battle.
- Magic Knight: What he basically is (stats-wise).
- My Species Doth Protest Too Much: Somewhat, though it's not explicitly voiced in the game, but a case of All There in the Manual (unless you have Gwendala in your party; in this case she comments on his oddness). Elves in The Dark Eye are, while clearly not defenseless, one of the least warlike races and tend to turn their backs on violence-prone members of their people. Contrast him with the village Elves in the sequel - airheaded and frustrating as they may seem, they are fairly good representations of the face in the source material.
- Our Elves Are Different: If used right, probably the most powerful party member in the game; considering that he's an extremely capable warrior who can fight almost as good as Rhulana, Traldar or Forgrimm (who are all roughly on par with one another, assuming they're similarly experienced, you leveled similar skills and gave them similar equipment), but is able to use magic on top of that. His main drawback is that due to the TDE system, he has to buy his levelups for his martial and magical skills from the same pool; and of course that he can't cast spells while wearing anything heavier than leather (though he has a decent spell for that).
- Roaring Rampage of Revenge: Against the great Ogre who killed his family.
Auralia
An old alchemist living in Ferdok, who's looking for a peculiar and rare recipe. If you help her she will lend her services to you.
- Voiced by: Barbara Freier (Ge), Lani Minella (En)
- Cool Old Lady
- Crippling Overspecialization: She's excellent at alchemy, but you won't have many uses for her aside from that.
- Demoted to Extra: Becomes an NPC in the prequel, but she's not really important in the first game for that matter.
- I Was Quite a Looker: Shown in the prequel.
Finn of Ferdok
A petty and arrogant noble often seen with Kastan Gamblack. He's later revealed to be a elite member of the Dragon Cultists, but he's still a small fish.
- Voiced by: ???
- Ambition Is Evil
- Aristocrats Are Evil: Yup.
- Dub Name Change: From Ferio to Finn.
- Early-Bird Cameo: Seen chewing up a poor peasant along with Kastan when you first enter Ferdok.
- Psycho Knife Nut: Wields a wicked curved dagger, and is quite Ax-Crazy to boot.
- Smug Snake
- Small Name, Big Ego: He has a high opinion of himself, but he's a mere, replaceable pawn.
- Warm-Up Boss
- Would Hit a Girl: Has seduced and killed Jessica, one of the designated victims, and was about to do the same with another one.
- You Have Failed Me: Kastan to him.
Kastan Gamblack
A rogue nobleman who's plotting with the Dragon Cultists. He's met in Ferdok and later in the dungeons of the castle of the Bloody Mountains where he's defeated.
- Voiced by: Claudio Moneta (It)
- Aristocrats Are Evil
- Cool Sword: You can even take it as a reward.
- Flunky Boss: Is followed by a large number of cultists.

- Not So Stoic: After Jafgur's escape.
- Smug Snake
- You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: Noldrokon leaves him to die.
Valonion
A mysterious Mantra'ke (half-dragon) sorcerer met in Moorbridge. You must kill him to obtain the first piece of the Armor of Fire.
- Voiced by: ???
- Evil Sorcerer: Complete with magic staff.
- Giant Space Flea From No Where: Sort of: He's right here from the beginning as a statue, and it comes back to life when Rakorium tries to take the gemstone on his staff.
- Glass Cannon
- Lizard Folk
- Snake Talk
- Taken for Granite: Appears as a statue at first.
Da Vanya / Seldrakon
The strict and self-righteous Great Inquisitor of Praios, bent on exterminating the witches of the Bloody Mountains. In the same chapter, it is revealed that he is another Mantra'ke like Valonion, and he's after the witches because they know he's up to something. The real Inquisitor's fate isn't mentioned in the game.
- Voiced by: Luca Sandri (It)
- Historical Domain Character: Amando Laconya da Vanya is one of the Non Player Characters taken from the TDE source material. While it's never mentioned what happens to the original da Vanya, he's still alive and kicking copious amounts of ass in the P&P modules taking place after Drakensang.
- Knight Templar: at least on the surface
- No Indoor Voice
- Ungrateful Bastard: In the previous chapter, you have just saved the girl and stopped the murderers, yet he treats you like crap. Explained in the next chapter, as he is one of those behind all the murders.
Noldrokon
A mysterious hooded stranger with a scaly face, is encountered several times in the game and appears to be behind the Dragon cultists. Disguised as the orcish leader Bloodfang, he's revealed to be Malgorra's henchman but is left to die against the party in Grimtooth castle.
- Voiced by: Jon St. John (En), Luca Sandri (It)
- The Dragon: To Malgorra.
- Early-Bird Cameo: Appears right in the starting area Avestrue, as the guy who's treathening Salina's life and blackmailing Dranor.
- Red Eyes, Take Warning
- You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: To Kastan. And is backstabbed by Malgorra.
Yandrick of Andergast
The war mage serving House Neisbeck. He's actually the one who murdered Ardo, and is fought twice by the main party, eventually slain in the Neisbeck highquarters.
- Voiced by: Jon St. John (En), Luca Sandri (It)
- Beard of Evil
- Disc-One Final Boss
- The Dragon: To Ulwine.
- Optional Boss: Fighting him is optional since the whole "Revenge for Ardo" sidequest is facultative.
- Playing with Fire: Likes using fire spells.
- Royal Rapier: His main weapon when he's hexing people from far away.
Ulwine Neisbeck
An old matron and one of the most powerful merchants of Ferdok, is a ruthless woman, who daily employs ruffians and corrupt guards to do her will. She's the one behind Ardo's demise, and during the last confrontation with the party she's hit by a lightning and falls on the floor dead.
- Voiced by: Shannon Day (En)
- Anticlimax Boss: If she qualifies as a boss, that is.
- Corrupt Corporate Executive
- Evil Old Folks
- I Was Quite a Looker: Appears in the prequel, and boy she's quite a babe!
- Tempting Fate: She openly challenge the Gods and claims that noone can stop her now. Cue to Bolt of Divine Retribution.
- Villainous Breakdown: After Yandrick's true demise.
Jafgur
A young Purple Dragon who was raised by the Dragon Cultist under the castle in the Bloody Mountains. He has gone crazy and attacked the city of Tallon, burning and destroying until he was finally put down by Arom and the main party. He was possessed by a demon locked in his carbuncle.
- Voiced by: none
- Breath Weapon: Well, duh...
- Climax Boss
- The Dragon: To Malgorra and the Dragon Cultists, though he's also an Unwitting Pawn.
- Early-Bird Cameo: Appears for the first time in the Bloody Mountains where he escapes from the castle he was kept.
- Giant Flyer: He's very big and if you watch carefully you can see that his wings are far bigger than his arms.
- Made of Iron: He fights you with a giant dwarvish ballista's bolt in his chest and yet has a ton of health points.
- Our Dragons Are Different: This one is purple and too crazy to be reasoned with.
- Tragic Monster: He's very young and is too crazed and scared to understand what's actually going on.
Malgorra of Incendio
A mysterious noblewoman-sorceress allied with the Dragon Cult who seeks for the ultimate power to use. Has a cameo in the prequel as a noblewoman attending a party.
- Voiced by: Lani Minella (En)
- Big Bad: Of the first game.
- From Nobody to Nightmare: In the prequel she appeared as a scheming but ordinary noblewoman. In this game she's a greater threat.
- Giant Space Flea From No Where: She appears about halfway througth the game without much explanation or foreshadowing.
- Navel-Deep Neckline: Her purple dress has a slit in the middle that goes down to her midriff.
- Really 700 Years Old: Makes statements in River of Time that clearly suggest she's over hundred years old, and she didn't age between the games, despite the 20 year gap between them. The manuals and novels from The Dark Eye universe, reveal that she's over ten thousand years old, and as strongly hinted in the game, a Mantra'ke.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Gives one to your party as she steals Umbracor's Adamantine Heart from under your nose.
- Stripperiffic: Her purple dress, almost falling in Fashion-Victim Villain. You even get the chance of judging her outfit in the prequel.
Salina
The beautiful Queen of Tumblers, is a wandering artist met in Avestrue and your first quest giver. She helps you on your way to Ferdok. Later she's accused of sabotage and poisoning in Murolosh and you have to gather evidence to save her.
- Voiced by: Gundi Eberhard (Ge), Shannon Day (En), Stefania Patruno (It)
- Hot Gypsy Woman: Basically this.
- Hourglass Hottie: Even the Dwarves are charmed by her!
- Nice Girl: She's really kind and helpful.
- Tsundere: Towards Dranor.
- Stripperiffic: She wears what could pass for a short green corset and a short skirt.
Archmage Rakorium Muntagonus
An odd and crazy-looking sorcerer who's not quite right in the head, but is extremely powerful. He's met in Avestrue and later you have to rescue him in the Moorbridge Swamps. He later resides in your home and gives you cryptic but precious advice. He makes a cameo in the prequel as a sidequest giver.
- Voiced by: Hans Werner Bussinger (Ge), Marc Biagi (En)
- Accidental Misnaming: It's a Running Gag that Rakorium is so terribly absent-minded that he has trouble remembering the player's name, calling him or her "Nottel", all the time. Nottel was the name of his first student, and apparently the only one he can remember. Since then he's come to call all of his students by that name, extending this courtesy to the player.
- All There in the Manual: As a prolific Historical Domain Character of TDE, he has a lot more going on about him than is mentioned in the game.
- Barrier Warrior: Can create powerful barriers against the unliving.
- Chekhov's Gunman: First you need his help in order to get a permission to reach Ferdok. Then you have to rescue him from the dangers of Moorbridge Swamps, then again he tells you where to go after you obtain the Shield of Fire. Last but not least, he gives you the Thesis Crystal needed to awaken Umbracor from the Adamantine Heart.
- Cool Old Guy
- Cloud Cuckoo Lander: OH. Dear. GODS....
- Distressed Dude: Sort of in Moorbridge.
- Escort Mission: Except that he can annihilate anything in a minute.
- Properly Paranoid: He sees Lizardmen conspiring behind every corner. Turns out the first game's main plot actually is about a huge conspiracy spearheaded by Lizardmen!
- Taken for Granite: Does this to a whole bandit outpost when you find him.
Sir Prancelot of Scufflewick
A pompous wannabe knight who has a huge inflated opinion of himself and tells a lot of stories, despite being a total wimp. You meet him in Avestrue and later in Tallon, where you have to kill a Linnworm. Appears in the prequel too.
- Voiced by: Marc Biagi (En)
- Curb-Stomp Battle: The Linnworm defeats him by "breathing" on him.
- Dirty Coward: Runs away from a small party of Goblins. Later claims that he was taking their attention away from you.
- Fake Ultimate Hero: That's what he is.
- Fearless Fool: Enphasis on FOOL!.
- Knight in Shining Armor: Or at least he think he's one.
- Small Name, Big Ego: The hugest one in the series.
- Too Dumb to Live: What the Hell he was expecting to accomplish against that Linnworm!!??
Duke Growin
The wise ruler of Ferdok, is a kind dwarf lord and a good friend of Ardo.
- Voiced by: Eric Newsome (En)
- Out of Focus: He's just a mere questgiver.
- Reasonable Authority Figure
Thalya of Ravendoza
A beautiful rogue who's cursed with bad luck. You have to help her to deal with the curse by giving to the ghost of her fallen comrade Alrico 27 ducats.
- Voiced by: Lani Minella (En)
- Curse: She's cursed with bad luck, all the money she steals goes missing and has a deadly cough.
- Fate Worse than Death: What she's trying to avoid.
- Gratuitous Spanish: For some reason part of her dialogue with her former partner's ghost in the Italian dub is filled with this. She also has a distinct Spanish accent.
- Jerkass: You can see her as this.
- Incurable Cough of Death: She gots better later.
- Lovable Rogue
- My Eyes Are Up There: During her stay with her undead partner, he can't help but admiring the amulet she's wearing on her neck.
The Witches
:The inhabitants of the Dark Forest in the Bloody Mountains, they're currently under the treath of the Inquisition. You can either help them of kill them. The four witches are Yasmin, Alwine, Morla and Saphira.
- Voiced by: Jodi Lorimer (Yasmin En), Shannon Day (Alwine En), Erin Ashe (Morla En), Stefania Patruno (Alwine It)
- The Alcoholic: Yasmin certainly knows her stuff when she send you to fetch the holy wine of the Inquisitors.
- Animal Motifs: Swines for Yasmin, Wolves for Alwine and Toads for Morla.
- Blonde, Brunette, Redhead: Yasmin, Morla and Alwine. Saphira has grey hair.
- Clingy Jealous Girl: Alwine wants to turn her lustful and cheating boyfriend in a toad.
- Emo Teen: Morla looks like one with the eye obscuring bangs.
- Flunky Boss: All of them fight alongside animals.
- Hot Witch: Alwine has this written all over her. Then, if you like "pudgy" girls there's Morla.
- Technical Pacifist: They prefer to resort to tricks and hexes rather then violence.
- What the Hell, Hero?: They'll scold you if you solved all their problems with violence. Also, the most valuable reward for their quests is given only if you choose the peaceful solution.
Prince Arom
:The badass dwarven prince of Murolosh, appears in Tallon valley on the tracks of the Dragon Jafgur. He helps the party on their quest after the dragon's death. Also appears in a bonus quest in the prequel, where he must destroy the access to a cursed mine.
- Voiced by: Eric Newsome (En)
- Boisterous Bruiser
- Fantastic Racism: Hates dragons.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: The Dragon Carbuncle he took from Jafgur's head turns his father mad.
- Royals Who Actually Do Something
- What the Hell, Hero?: In River of Time, he chews out the party in dwarvish for unknowingly helping Girtash unearth the way to Norgamashzrom.
King Arombolosh
Mighty king of Murolosh, he appears to be a little harsh and hostile to the party. He's later revealed to have been possessed by the Dragon's Carbuncle in his crown but is saved.
- Voiced by: Gerald Paradies (Ge), Sam A. Mowry (En) Claudio Moneta (It)
- Authority Equals Asskicking. In fact, very much so. Even in the P&P source material, his states are so high that they're almost impossible to achieve (or at least were when he was first introduced)
- Brainwashed and Crazy: And you have to fight him out of his madness.
- Hair-Trigger Temper: Sports this for a while because of the carbuncle.
Umbracor
A legendary Dragon mentioned many times ingame, whose Oracle is kept in the Temple of Hesinde. The Oracle will nominate you Crusader of the Dragon Quest and order you to find the Adamantine Heart. Is revealed that the Oracle is actually Pal Na'Thar, the last Cyclops and that Umbracor is sealed inside the Adamantine Heart. Your goal is to free him.
- Voiced by: Tilo Schmitz (Ge), Antonio Paiola (It)
- A God Am I: Said to be immortal and extremely powerful.
- Big Good: The closest thing to one.
- Our Dragons Are Different
- Voice of the Legion: The oracle, due to lots of echoes.
Pal Na'Thar
A mysteryous character mentioned in the underground ruins, he's the last Cyclop and the voice behind the Oracle of Umbracor. He has been the guardian of the Heart for a very long time, and now he want to pass the task to you.
- Voiced by: Frank Caesar (En) Antonio Paiola (It)
- Cool Old Guy
- Heroic Blue Screen of Death: When Malgorra steals the Heart from under his nose.
- Ultimate Blacksmith: He forged the Fire Armor and can give you the Infinity +1 Sword.
- Well-Intentioned Extremist: His plan is simple: the man/woman who will survive to his trials and recover the whole Fire Armor will become the new keeper of the Heart. That means, spends eternity guarding a Cosmic Keystone in a ghost-infested lava cave.
Fayris Lynx-Eye
One of the two agents working for Gerlin. Is a half-elf Huntress, armed with bow and arrow. She can cast elven spells and is quite skilled in marksmanship and ranged combat. If you choose to help Jaakon in the storehouses, she's killed by Coldstone.
- Action Girl: If your character is male, she's also the only one.
- Big "NO!": When Jaakon is zapped to death by Coldstone.
- Fiery Redhead
- Magic Knight: Even though her focus initially is on archery and her lacking melee skills obscure it, it is possible to turn her into one by building up her two-handed sword skills (the best weapons in the game are swords) and raising her strength score. However, given the relatively low XP ceiling in the game when compared to the original (and that she's probably your only nature-oriented character), it is impossible to make her truly shine in both areas.
- Our Elves Are Different: Half elf, and she tends to be more sensitive than the other members of the group. She also wished to live with other elves.
- Squishy Wizard: She can learn elvish magic and other spells.
- Technical Pacifist: She calls you out if you compete in the arena.
Jaakon Zagor
One of Gerlin's agents in Nadoret, is a War Mage. Can use many powerful attack spells in battle and still put up a decent melee fight. If you choose to save Fayris first in the storehouse, he'll be killed by Coldstone.
- Voiced by: Claudio Moneta (It)
- Badass Bookworm
- Magic Knight: Thought bending more on magic.
- Not So Above It All: Though at first he seems to despise the arena fights, he'll actually cheer on you if you compete and even troll you with utterances like "Hurry up, I'm getting bored..."
- Playing with Fire: Ignifaxius (Fire Spear) and Invoco Elemento (Summon Fire Elemental). Can also learn the Fireballs.
- Roaring Rampage of Revenge: Against Coldstone for murdering Fayris.
- The Smart Guy
Forgrimm
A proud dwarf warrior, and Ardo's bodyguard and loyal retainer. Strong and resilient, he's a powerful fighter but not very brilliant.
- Voiced by: Riccardo Lombardo (It, River of Time only)
- The Atoner: In the sequel.
- Bag of Spilling: Technically a victim of this: Forgrimm starts at level 3 and with crappy gear, even though he ends the prequel at least around level 10 (though 12-13 is more likely, or 2 levels more with the addon) and with at least somewhat decent gear to boot.
- Boisterous Bruiser: In both games he's not one who likes to be subtle.
- The Lancer: To Ardo, but is also The Big Guy in the whole party.
- Mighty Glacier
- Our Dwarves Are All the Same: Forgrimm is a rather stereotypical dwarf: a stubborn axe-wielding ruffian who likes drinking himself into a stupor and never forgets a friend or a grudge.
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: Red Oni to Cano's Blue Oni.
- Vitriolic Best Buddies: With Cano.
Cano
One of the best rogues of Havena, the whole story started when him and his rival Mora were hired to stole Raul's Crown, a precious treasure. He was caught by Ardo and Forgrimm and now he must help them in finding Mora and recover what was stolen. He's a Rogue, and can use his skills of Lockpicking, Trap Disarming and Theft to help the party.
- Voiced by: Simone D'Andrea (It, River of Time only)
- TheCasanova: And his seduction skills can come in handy.
- Deadpan Snarker: Egregiously so if the party walks across mires or ponds.
- Doting Parent: Implied to be this to Gladys.
- Dub Name Change: From Cuano to Cano.
- Lovable Rogue: A good-hearted rogue who follows Phex' code and is quite a nice guy to be around with.
- Non-Action Guy: When trying to mold your companions into fighting roles, you'll have most problems with him - he's even less suitable for it than the Squishy Wizard. While he has decent dexterity, his strength score is so low that he can't raise it above 15 and on top of that has a penalty for his melee skills: Even at max level his fighting abilities are sub-par and you're better off turning him into an archer. However, unlike the casters he can equip heavy armor and shields, so there's that.
- Royal Rapier: His main weapon, fitting the rogueish swashbuckler role.
- The Smart Guy: In the original trio, he's the smartest.
- Token Religious Teammate: Though only technically since he's the only priest in the group. Realistically however there isn't much of a difference since he worships the most pragmatic, least altruistic God who promotes clandestine behavior (and whose priesthood consists of guys who mask that part of their identity), while the other teammates aren't particularly nonreligious.
- Vitriolic Best Buddies: With Forgrimm, since they're in a Red Oni, Blue Oni sort of deal.
Ardo
The charismatic Paladin from Boarstock, whose duty is to guards the Imperial Insignia. He travels along with Cano and Forgrimm in order to retrieve Raul's Crown, whose loss is very dangerous for the emperor himself and can bring a wave of chaos and disasters. He's a human Fighter and use a sword.
- Voiced by: Silvano Piccardi (It, ''River of Time only)
- Cool Sword: His family heirhood and a very powerful, sharp blade.
- Cultured Bad Ass: A tall and proud master swordsman who's also very knowledgeable, resourceful and corteous.
- Doomed by Canon: In The River of Time.
- Family-Unfriendly Death: Yandric tortures him and rip his heart out.
- Extreme Omnivorous: If the recipe of Ardo's Champions' Breakfast is of any indication...note
- King Incognito: In the beginning anyway.
- The Lancer: To your Hero, since he owes him/her his life.
- The Pig-Pen: According to Gladys, he claims that having a bath more than once every month is heresy. In The River of Time if you walk in the swamps/rivers he'll say: "Are you going to bathe yourself? Then proceed without me. Too much water is noxious for the health."
- Reasonable Authority Figure: Aside from that little accident where he fired his servant for washing his shirt a week too soon, he's this.
- Royals Who Actually Do Something: While he's not exactly royalty, he's a very hands-on kind of guy for a nobleman.
Captain Orbert
The captain and master of Nadoret's docks, he's a suspicious, bad-tempered guy. Of course, he's involved in the plot regarding the pirates and Dajin and Coldstone. He's met at the very beginning of the game, when you get to Nadoret for the first time. You later face him in front of the secret passage to Dajin's castle.
- Voiced by: Riccardo Rovatti (It)
- Anticlimax Boss: When you get to fight him, he's no match for you.
- Evil Old Folks
- Jerkass: He's a real, plain asshole.
- Obviously Evil: Even the elf Laurelin outright states that he feel "True Evil" in him.
Stitus Bloomfold
The fat, corrupted commander of the Thurstein Toll Station on the Great River. Is a disgusting smug midget who loves animals above anything else and is involved in the pirate raids. After the party defeat his favourite pet, a Newt Kraken, he's knocked down and devoured by said beast.
- Voiced by: ???
- Expy: He's based on James Bond villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld in name, and he looks like Dom De Luise.
- Fat Bastard
- Fed to the Beast: Has the disgusting habit of feeding the prisoners to his various pets, including hounds, wolves, boars, a wild bear and a Newt Kraken.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: In his agony, the Newt Kraken make him fall in his open maws and eats him alive.
- Jerkass
- Right-Hand Attack Dog: No, not his adorable pug..... but a large river kraken.
- Sissy Villain: He speaks in a languid way.
- Smug Snake: He really is despicable
- Villain Has a Point: If you try to call him out on his Lack of Empathy for his dead soldiers, he calmly reply that if you feel so bad about it then you shouldn't have killed them in the first place (note, you can only get this line of dialogue if you took the direct approach either through the fortress or the hall).
Girtash Goldtooth
Member of the Pirate Council of Hammerberg, is a smug, greed dwarf and one of the criminal bosses of the village, he also owns a mine. Later is revealed that said mine lead to the legendary Norgamashzrom, a cursed mine filled with Hell Iron. - The Determinator: He'll rescue Princess Amariel, come Hell, High Water, treacherous elves or giant horse demons.

- Voiced by: none
- And I Must Scream: A case of All There in the Manual. The original Kazak can be met in an adventure module from the P&P-version of TDE (the same module also includes Phileasson) when the party visits the actual ruins of Tie'Shianna, where he he has been lying around for millenia in agony (ever since the Nameless one's onslaught on the city), impaled by a sacred spear, which only an elf can remove. The adventure module succinctly states that should one of the players be stupid enough to do so, Kazak regaining consciousness means that the game ends right and here for the party.
- Big Bad: As leader of the Nameless One's hordes. Subverted.

- The Voiceless: He only makes horse cries during the battle, but he never speaks.
