** And it is awesome.

* IHaveNoMouthAndIMustScream: A case of AllThereInTheManual. The original Kazzak can be met in the P&P-version of TDE when the party visits the ''actual'' ruins of Tie'Shianna, where he he has been lying around for millenia in agony (ever since the Nameless one's onslaught on the city), impaled by a sacred spear, which only an elf can remove. The adventure module succinctly states that should one of the players be stupid enough to do so, Kazak regaining consciousness means that the game ends right and here for the party.

* AwesomeButImpractical: He is the most powerful caster among your party members and specialized in combat magic to boot, but the casting time severely restricts the use of his abilities (especially the fireball spell).

* MasterSwordsman: He wields a sword and already knows plenty of sword techniques.

* MySpeciesDothProtestTooMuch: Somewhat, though it's not explicitly voiced in the game, but a case of AllThereInTheManual. Elves in ''TabletopGame/TheDarkEye'' are, while clearly not defenseless, one of the least warlike races and tend to turn their backs on violence-prone members of their people. Contrast him with the village Elves in the sequel - airheaded and frustrating as they may seem, they are fairly good representations of the source material.

to:

* MagicKnight: What he basically is (stats-wise).
* MySpeciesDothProtestTooMuch: Somewhat, though it's not explicitly voiced in the game, but a case of AllThereInTheManual.AllThereInTheManual (unless you have Gwendala in your party; in this case she comments on his oddness). Contrast him with the village Elves in the sequel - airheaded and frustrating as they may seem, they are fairly good representations of the face in the source material.material.
* OurElvesAreBetter: If uses right, probably the most powerful party member in the game; considering that he's an extremely capable warrior who can fight almost as good as Rhulana, Traldar or Forgrimm (who are all roughly on par with one another, assuming they're similarly experienced, you leveled similar skills and gave them similar equipment), but is able to use magic on top of that. His main drawback is that due to the TDE system, he has to buy his levelups for his martial and magical skills from the same pool; and of course that he can't cast spells while wearing anything heavier than leather (though he has a decent spell for that).

An old alchemist living in Ferdok, who's looking for a peculiar and rare recept. If you help her she will lend her services to you.

* AuthorityEqualsAsskickingAuthorityEqualsAsskicking. In fact, very much so. Even in the P&P source material, his states are so high that they're almost impossible to achieve (or at least were when he was first introduced)

The strict and self-righteous Great Inquisitor of Praios, bent on exterminating the witches of the Bloody Mountains. [[spoiler: In the same chapter, it is revealed that he is another Mantra'ke like Valonion, and he's after the witches because they know he's up to something. The real Inquisitor's fate is unknown.]]

* HistoricalDomainCharacter: Amando Laconya da Vanya is one of the NPCs taken from the TDE source material. [[spoiler: While it's never mentioned what happens to the original da Vanya, he's still alive and kicking copious amounts of ass in the P&P modules taking place after Drakensang.]]

* AllThereInTheManual: As a prolific HistoricalDomainCharacter of TDE, he has a lot more going on about him than is mentioned in the game.
