Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.

openCutlist issue
It appears that the pages that I want to be cut keep getting declined for some reason. I want to replace these pages because they have the wrong titles (it should be called season seven). They don’t even have up to 100 inbound links and yet they keep getting declined. May someone please permanently delete the articles that I included into the cutlist?
Also, when they have the time, may someone please cut the redirect article that I just included into the cutlist in addition to the other pages that I previously included? It has a lot of inbound links, but the Anime Campaign page was cut today despite the fact that it had a large amount of inbounds as well. Why are the articles that I have included into the cutlist not being deleted?
Edited by Thetropemaster101openWhere do I suggest a trope be considered a subtrope of another trope?
Is it here or is there a thread on the forums?
open Suicide warning kosher? Music
The page for Kurt Cobain has a suicide warning on the top of it. Is this kosher? Doesn't seem like it should be.
openDeath Battle Broken Base Web Original
This isn't about the page receiving any traffic, but I think I have an idea for keeping complaining edits from being put on the page.
On the Broken Base page for Death Battle, a link to the clean-up thread is put and goes as follows:
Before adding an entry, please take proposed entry to the Broken Base Clean-up thread here for approval. Any entries added without prior approval will be removed immediately.
This won't solve all the problems, but I think it will mitigate unnecessary traffic without needing to put the page on lock-down like the YMMV page was. Well, hopefully it will.
What do you guys think?
Edited by ssjSegaopenIs this really YMMV?
Writer Cop Out is described as such: "A cop out is when a story builds to a certain climax and the writer suddenly wusses out and chooses a different, less ambitious or less satisfying ending, or worse, chooses not to end the story at all. This may come out of Executive Meddling, Creator Breakdown, lack of talent, or simply an incomprehensible creative choice."
This doesn't seem particularly subjective? And the items listed in the index on the page are largely not YMMV.
To be fair, it's probably a complaint magnet, but I'm pretty sure that pretending like it's YMMV isn't the answer to that.
openQueer Media/Queer Romance
Should Queer Romance be made a subindex of Queer Media?
Edited by TwiddleropenTroper with spoiler and indentation problems
I sent Queen Marine a pair of notifiers in June for spoilers and indentation.
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/article_history.php?article=Main.WalkingSpoiler#edit23605322
They haven't learned. This entry is both improperly indented and almost completely blanked out, despite being an edit to Walking Spoiler, which specifies spoiler tags should be used sparingly, as the page is Spoilered Rotten.
open How do I start a media page?
I am in need of help with this simple action, send help posthaste.

Edited by JonnyJonsonopenQuestion about troper quotes.
I noticed that a troper had a quotes page. Are those intended for quotes that the troper likes, and if not, what is it for?
openA SCP Foundation Question
SCP Foundation entries get deleted, then a new SCP gets put into them.
So my question: what should we do with Tv Trope entries where the SCP in question has already been deleted?
openRed Links on Unwinnable by Mistake Page
For some reason, the links to the UnwinnableByMistake. The Legend Of Zelda and UnwinnableByMistake.Tomb Raider pages are red, even though the pages themselves exist and clicking on them doesn't take you to a redirect notifier. Is this a bug?
Courtesy link here: Unwinnable by Mistake
EDIT: Fixed.

Many of the crowners I've seen in TLP turned into a blank page.
What happened?
openCard Games vs Tabletop Games
I've noticed several folders under "Card Games" lately. Shouldn't these be listed under "Tabletop Games"? I always move them to Tabletop Games.
openRed Link guideline clarification
Troper Tropers/snivyTsutarja seemed to have technically edit-warred at Manga.Cells At Work, regarding a Red Link I added for a manga publisher. While I can give him a slide since the idea that "always link to works even if it doesn't have a page yet, unless the work would violate the Content Policy" is not well-known, I want some clarification on whether publishers in general can have creator pages. Several big-name manga publishers in the US have their pages(Creator.Seven Seas Entertainment, Creator.Viz Media, Creator.Yen Press), but I don't know if they were launched according to rules.
openDo adaptation tropes apply for fics?
Do adaptation tropes (Adaptational Heroism, Adaptational Attractiveness, etc) count if they're part of a fanwork? For example, if a fanfic keeps a character who died in canon alive, can that count as Spared by the Adaptation?
openWhat's the official policy on ghost wicks?
While looking through the "related" page on Complete Monster, one of the wicks was found on YMMV Ultron. No, not YMMV.Ultron, it's all one wikiword. Of course, there's nothing on that page despite there apparently being a wick there.
IIRC, that means I found a ghost wick. Problem is, I don't know what to do next, since I can't find official policy on how to deal with such a thing. Do I just make a null edit to remove the wick and then add the page to the Cutlist? Or is there a more formal method like making a request on the Locked Pages thread?
openA creator Web Original
Is it possible for someone to make a creators page for an Instagram star named Ha Ha Davis?
Shouldn't resistance contests be a trope? Such as dance marathons (It's Always Sunny S 03 E 15) or episode S 05 E 05 of B99, when Scully and Hitchcock challenge Rosa to see who stays seated the longest? Or contests of whoever stays with their hand in (vehicle) the longest wins (vehicle)?
