Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
Ask the Tropers is for:
- • General questions about the wiki, how it works, and how to do things.
- • Reports of problems with wiki articles, or requests for help with wiki articles.
- • Reports of misbehavior or abuse by other tropers.
Ask the Tropers is not for:

openThis work page needs help
I just found TabletopGame.Heroes Haven TTRPG Community while curating Bi The Way wicks, and it has a lot of problems. First, it should be in Darth Wiki/ unless a link to the Discord server is provided, in which case it should be moved to Roleplay/. Also, the page has poor grammar, there's a lot of first person writing in the first folder, and the third folder consists almost entirely of "examples" that say "This is a trope" as their context.
openMedics n' Mages
Does anyone think Shoot the Medic First is more of a Sub-Trope to Shoot the Mage First? The latter is generally about targeting high-priority opponents most capable of putting you at a serious disadvantage if not taken down early (which I expanded upon in the description). The former is kind of the same but with medic/support-type characters.
openAborted Arc misuse?
On My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic S9 E21 "Daring Doubt", What Happened to the Mouse? was replaced with the following:
- Aborted Arc: Daring Do's reputation. Early on, her fans have turned on her and her identity due to the events in the episode, but it's never brought up again, even when A.K. Yearling is co-writing a book with Caballeron.
I question this as: 1. A single standalone episode doesn't seem long enough to set up an arc, which take multiple episodes and need that long for the circumstances that cause it to be dropped to manifest (unless Word of God is that it was an intended plot dropped). 2. What Happened to the Mouse? seems to fit better as Daring's reputation was never meant to be a plot, just the means to kick of the intended plot of learning to get both sides of the story (and given how Easily Forgiven things in this series are it seems unfair to assume her bad rep stayed).
This seems more like They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot and complaining about treating it as unimportant then the reputation part being intended as a greater arc. Change back to What Happened to the Mouse??
openScrewed-up fridge page?
Fridge.Yo Gabba Gabba is a bit ranty and disorganised, to put it nicely.
openNumerous editing issues
MainManJ has shown several issues, particularly in their most recent various edits:
- They have demonstrated indentation issues and other formatting issues (such as spacing issues, spelling issues, grammar issues, etc.), as shown in their most recent edits to Pandering to the Base, ArmedWithCanon.Comic Books, and Headscratchers.Digimon Adventure.
- They have inserted a lot of Sinkholes (specifically chained sinkholes), as shown in their most recent edits to Pandering to the Base.
- They do not Pothole correctly, as shown in their most recent edits to So Unfunny, It's Funny, Yo-Yo Plot Point, and Pandering to the Base.
- They also somehow Edit Warred with themselves on Sealed Evil in a Teddy Bear: added an item, then deleted it, then re-added it, and then re-deleted it, all on June 17th.
- Looking at their edit history, when they do make edits here, they have a tendency to be a Serial Tweaker, as early as 2012 and particularly as of late.
openAdding an, "Awesome Music," Page Videogame
Hello and good evening to you all! For some time now, I was curious about something regarding adding additional content to the Dante's Inferno (2010) page; The game comes with quite an amazing soundtrack, and it felt rather inappropriate to not include it! However, when I tried to add a new page, I noticed that the option wasn't available!
If it isn't too much trouble, would it be possible for someone to please elucidate on how one is able to accomplish this? It would be very much appreciated!!!
Thank you all for your time, and have a wonderful day/night!
Sincerely,
The_Taming_Interpreter

Guscraft has a myriad of problems.
- TLP: He's made at least two zero-effort TL Ps that are already existing tropes: Same Game, Different Design and Early Export For You!
- Most of his edits are to Wiki.Dream Fiction Wiki. Taking a look at the page, not only is it a stub (I sent a notifier yesterday, he's been active but hasn't done anything to destub it), the description is a mess.
- He also weirdly added it to Fiction, meaning it's the only work page on that entire page.
- Also his adding it to Fanon is a ZCE and he put it at the top of the Web Original folder, which is just rude.
- Also just take a look at the YMMV page: YMMV.Dream Fiction Wiki.
- I brought it up in the TLP Crash Rescue thread as well. If he doesn't fix it in a couple days then I'm adding it to the cutlist.
- He also has issues with English. Edits that aren't wrong are still awkward.
- He also added this example to Screwed By The Lawyers, but did it by inserting it in an only vaguely related bullet. The bullet it was under specifically referred to Nintendo taking action against two specific ROM sites (which are the two bullets beneath the example he added), completely breaking the example.
openFridge logic vs headscratchers
What is the difference between these two things? There doesn’t seem to be any to me, and even Fridge Logic recommends going to the headscratcher pages to discuss.
openKarma Houdini
Does Karma Houdini also applies to characters who do good but are never rewarded ?
openNo Title
Why is Complaining About Shows You Don't Watch in-universe examples only, while its inverse Praising Shows You Don't Watch is not? They are basically the same, but one is about praising and the other is complaining, so it seems weird that one would be in-universe only, while the other is not.
open Jesus in the Pantheon
Would it cause any problem or Controversy if a version of Jesus were to be part of the Trope Pantheon? Especially for Mods.

The above link is to a great fic that explores a very unused idea of Bleach.
What if Ichigo became a ruler? In this fic Ichigo becomes the Quincy Emperor.
openSmallville Season 11 Live Action TV
Since the comics are evidentally canon per Crisis on Infinite Earths, should relevant tropes be added to the pages?
openFamous Last Words
I noticed some people have said that Famous Last Words is too broad and often includes numerous examples of "things people happened to say before they died." I admit, I myself have added such examples. Is there an official rule on what can be included?
openAbout Fetish Fuel
I have a doubt.
Since Fetish Fuel cannot have entries and wicks both on its own page and on YMMV pages.
Can that trope be removed from the Audience Reactions list?
openDoes the autism spectrum count as a disability on this wiki?
Hi, I'm a new troper and would like to ask if Asperger's Syndrome and High-Functioning Autism are considered disabilities when it comes to tropes such as Disabled Character, Disabled Actor . I just added Matilda from Everything's Gonna Be Okay to the aforementioned page, but when I checked the show's trivia page, the same fact was listed under Actor-Shared Background . I understand that the troper who made this edit may have wanted to avoid controversy, but Disabled Character, Disabled Actor is the right subtrope.
open Regarding Comic-Book Fantasy Casting...
I have a small question regarding it, but, can the trope work as Referenced by...? Let's say many artists, due the popularity of The Avengers, start to portray the stories of Loki with him resembling Tom Hiddleston, even if they have no affiliation with Marvel comics.
If I put in Hiddleston creator page the CBFC trope, and mention every time someone used his resemblance to potray the character, would it be valid?
openTroper with indentation problems
I sent H 8 Fear ADR Luv an indentation notifier last week. They haven't responded or improved. Here's their latest violation:

southsea seems to have a Single-Issue Wonk with Carol Danvers. A skim of their recent edits shows, among others:
What Happened to the Mouse? entries on Redwall:
I was going to remove the 3-point one for first-person troping, but I wonder if some of the others should be removed or reworded, as they seem Conversation In The Main Page-ish.
