Is there something on Netflix that has "commandos fighting sorcerers" that isn't Mortal Kombat?

I'm looking for some good live action movies that act like cartoons. (Not based on cartoons)

If you're fine with something a bit old-school, I'd suggest The Great Race. It's about a New York to Paris automobile race, and it's the main inspiration for Wacky Races.

I watched The Villain and had a lot of fun. Does anyone here know if any other movies that can basically be described as "Looney Tunes antics with real people"?

I borrowed the original The Haunting from my library a couple years ago and liked it. They have some more old horror movies, including Cat People, so I thought I'd try some out. How is Cat People in terms of pacing? Are there any other old horror movies I should be on the lookout for?

~DokemonStudios, I don't know if anyone answered your question, but The Villain would fit the description of what you're looking for. I found it a lot of fun, and showed my mom, who decided to rent it from Netflix to take it on vacation.

I'm going to be doing a scene from a tv show or movie for acting for the camera, and I want to do a Shirtless Scene - scene has to be about a page or so long. I've been working out a lot so I want to show my build.

Has anyone seem this new Lifetime Movie: Stalked By A Reality Star (originally debuted on it's sister channel, Movies). I even made a thread about this. https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=15230622810A19397400&page=1#1

I'm looking for kung-fu movies from the early seventies to the early eighties that feature amazing stunts, yet don't take it seriously enough, going super over the top in its original language and the English dub. I also wanna know if it's still legally available in circulation stateside, regardless of its format.

It's been almost a year since I watched either, but the 1978 movies The 36th Chamber of Shaolin and Five Deadly Venoms were both over the top and humorous, if memory serves. Both can be found on Amazon.

Can anyone recommend any balls-to-the-wall action movies in the vein of Kingsman or Baby Driver?

[up] That seems right up my alley, but I don’t know how much access to foreign films I have. Can you recommend anything from Hollywood in the last 20 years or so?

Kung Fu Hustle seems like a solid bet, and given it is a Sony co-production it shouldn't be hard to find.

[up][up]Do you have online market access? It has been subbed with English releases-you can find brand new copies online for less than 10$ US, or less than 5$ for used copies.

As for other suggestions: Mad Max: Fury Road.

I haven't seen Persepolis, but would Grave of the Fireflies be the kind of thing you're looking for?

The classic in terms of sheer scope and grandeur would be The Longest Day.

The classic in terms of sheer human horror and drama would be Come and See.

The classic in terms of sheer cinema and socio-historical themes would be The Grand Illusion.

Other interesting films would be Das Boot, Zulu (and its prequel, Zulu Dawn) and Grave Of The Fireflies.

For pre-modern war films, you have most of Akira Kurosawa's career but more specifically, Kagemusha. There's also: Red Cliff and The Admiral: Roaring Currents.

Anyone got any good kid adventure movies, with villains that come across as a real threat, and aren't totally silly?

I saw one I liked called The Lost Medallion: The Adventures of Billy Stone, which, other than some preachy book ends, was pretty good. Anyone know other movies along that line?

Anyone knows any good film set in Vietnam that's not about the Vietnam War, or at least not about the war from the American perspective?

The 1990 original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. (That is definitely the best live-action movie in my eyes.)

Sam Raimi's Spiderman 1 and 2.

Umberto D.

Christopher Robin (2018)

Men in Black trilogy.

The original George of the Jungle movie.

Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan

Star Trek: The Voyage Home

Star Trek: The Undiscovered Country

Star Trek: First Contact
