MOD NOTE: TROPES BLANKET-BANNED FROM HAVING VIDEO EXAMPLES:
- Attempted Rape
- Bound and Gagged
- Epileptic Flashing Lights
- Jump Scare
- Nocturnal Emission
- Pooping Where You Shouldn't
- Potty Failure
- Sensory Abuse
- Screamer Prank
It's been discussed a lot at the Video Uploading thread that a lot of poor videos are slipping through the cracks, and that a clean-up effort is necessary if we are to combat the problem.
Common issues are:
- Videos spoiling major events from a work
- Videos not actually fitting the trope they're attached to
- Videos in which the important part doesn't happen until halfway through, with the length being ultimately pointless
- Videos that use the entire work, breaking copyright; this can be done either with one video showcasing an entire short video, or multiple videos that add up to using the entire work in piecemeal.
- Videos lacking the proper media source, or any media source at all.
- General quality problems, like audio issues or artifacting.
So, we've got our work cut out for us; but this is at least a place to discuss problems and come to solutions.

If I had to guess, I’d say you could ask a mod to add it for you. I’ve never really seen it done before.
What does it mean when I get an error while uploading saying “No compatible source was found for this media.”? Also, I posted three posts worth of appeals last page.
EDIT: Oh, Videos Needing Review exists.

It's possible to upload videos from the VideoExamples/ "subpage", even if the page is locked. (This is why I always tell people they can edit their videos "from the same page you uploaded it"; there's more than one place to do that.)
As for whether you should... I'm not sure who's going to answer that question, but it's not me, because I don't want to watch even a little bit of South Park.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing. That's fair. I put the context in a note in case people didn't wanna watch the clip (since it's a triggery subject). I knew I could add the example, but the page was locked for a reason and I didn't wanna step on any toes. Maybe I'll run it by the Locked Pages thread?
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Quick repost: Mods: I uploaded two attempts of the same video for Song Parody, but only one actually got through. I cannot delete the one that didn’t get through, as I refreshed the page as it was still processing. Please deny the one that did not get through.
I still have two broken videos on Mirror Routine that have been there for weeks. I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢The Suburban Knights video on Accidental Innuendo is actually an example of That Came Out Wrong. So is the Twisted video.
If the characters are aware and pointing out the innuendo, which I believe does occur in the Twisted video (I admit I skimmed it), then yes, That Came Out Wrong fits. We also have Innocent Innuendo.

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. That Came Out Wrong is the Intended Audience Reaction equivalent to Accidental Innuendo. Not sure about the Twisted one.

Rock'n'roll never dies!If I’m not mistaken, the Lion King video on Sarcasm-Blind is missourced. I think it’s actually The Lion King 1 ½.
In addition, several videos in the “Meet the Team” series have been uploaded entirely or near-entirely.

I may have already mentioned this, but the Timey-Wimey Ball video is actually about Narnia Time.
I'm back!Since Getting Crap Past the Radar is undergoing a TRS effort, the video examples might need a looking at.
Should Nightmare Fuel and Tear Jerker have video examples? The former has one; the latter has three.
My personal take on Audience Reactions is they should only have videos that demonstrate the item in-universe. Otherwise, it lacks the context of, well, the audience's reaction.
Exactly! And then there's my video for Ho Yay, which depicts the Game Grumps playing a game and remarking on the unintentional gay subtext and shipping potential between the two male characters.

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. An example I can always reference is the one I had uploaded for Uncanny Valley- which is a character explaining it to the in-universe audience with some examples.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessThe Rocko's Modern Life video on Hindenburg Incendiary Principle was obtained through the same pirate site as the Coconut Meets Cranium video (KissCartoon).
back lolA lot of videos were. To remove them all would be a daunting task, but I did list some on Videos Needing Review.

A daunting task, but a necessary one to keep our content legal.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessOkay, but some cartoons are pretty much only to be easily obtained from pirate sites...
I have things to do and daddy issues to repress! Then we can't have videos of those cartoons.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessHypothetically, you could obtain them from a pirate site that doesn't watermark them. I imagine it'd be against the rules to name any in particular, but I'm sure at least one exists.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing. You could also, hypothetically, just crop out the watermarks and nobody would know otherwise.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.I was actually wondering about that. I still don't know if it's allowed, but theoretically one could crop out the watermark.
TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallThere’s no rule against cropping?
Check Administrivia.About Images And Copyright — I would imagine that since videos are a rapid series of images, almost all of the same principles would apply.

If not for this anchor I'd be dancing between the stars. At least I can try to write better vampire stories than Twilight.
Are we allowed to add videos to locked pages? I was considering adding this South Park clip because it illustrates the trope well without depicting any actual rapeContext , but given the controversial history of the Double Standard Rape pages and the fact this scene has a really creepy Misaimed Fandom, I wanted to run it by here before trying anything.
