See here for Nightmare Fuel, which has frequent enough problems to deserve a thread of its own.
A while ago, I made a thread for cleaning up Nightmare Fuel pages, since they tend to attract all sorts of gushing about anything vaguely unsettling, as well as violations of Example Indentation and the Spoiler Policy among other problems. Well, other Moments pages have similar issues, though to a slightly lesser extent, so they may as well have a cleanup thread too.
"Moments" reactions should:
- Be free of spoiler tags, in accordance with the Spoilers Off policy which states that:
Fridge, Headscratchers, and the various Moments subpages (Tear Jerker, Moment of Awesome, etc.) are for post-viewing discussions. Spoiler tagging there defeats the purpose of the articles. You shouldn't be going there if you are worried about them.
- Be based on things that actually have happened, not things that could happen, will happen, or might have happened. Speculation belongs only on the Wild Mass Guessing pages.
- Have affected the writer of the entry themselves. If you don't find something funny or sad, let someone who did add it to Funny Moments or Tear Jerker.
- Elicit a strong reaction. Not every single time a character accomplishes something is an Awesome Moment, not every attempt at comedy is a Funny Moment, not every time someone does something nice is a Heartwarming Moment, and not every unhappy event is a Tear Jerker.
- Explain why they're so awesome/funny/sad: Zero Context Examples aren't allowed on this wiki. Your description should allow anyone to understand your reaction.

I think this is allowed if we focus on how the documentary portrays these moments.
Rock'n'roll never dies!Good point.
Are there any moments on the Pixar Shorts page that don't fit?
In the Funny page of Mulan, there's a meta section. Is there anything worth salvaging or should everything be removed?
- This meme post. It started as a simple post but then mutated into full lyrics for a song parody.
- It's so funny that the Disney Corporation itself recognized it. note
- This joke summary of the film, with a side of Cluster F-Bomb.
- "I'll Make a Man Out Of You" gets rendered into an incomprehensible mess by Google Translate.
- "You are a depressed banana I met, but before we get out of our club!"
- Mr. President, I want a man from you [stock footage of President Obama looking bewildered on camera].
- "Flabby beer pathetic lot, and who is the rabbit?"
- "Hi, I had to cut poverty in the school gymnasium."
- "APPENDIX DOMINATING DEATH!"
- All he had to do was look down.
- Please enjoy this fanvid, made mainly of the first movie's Irony, Brick Jokes, and awkward moments. In Gilligan Cuts.
- The fact that Disney got into such hot water over certain casting choices in other films under their umbrella that they felt the need to specify only Chinese actresses need apply for the role of Mulan in the live action remake.
- This hypothesizes that certain Disney movies would be finished quicker if Grandmother Fa was involved.
Remove it all. Every last bit of it.
Yeah. Cut that.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessSince the Nightmare Fuel page for Garfield Minus Garfield was cut, we might as well take a look at the Tear Jerker examples:
- Tear Jerker: Some examples:
- This makes it quite clear that Jon isn't right in the head.
Jon: Nobody tells me what to do! (Beat) And I wish they would! I have no idea what I am doing!- Here, Jon begins showing signs of being a Straw Nihilist.
Jon: The day is gone. We can't relive it. It's gone forever.- "Sometimes I feel like everybody hates me"
- In this one, Jon realizes that no-one will mourn his death.
- Elderly Jon shedding a tear at Garfield's empty bed.
- No words, just sadness.
Most of those are too surreal to be legitimately sad (especially since they probably originate from comics that aren't really sad). The only one I could vouch for is the one with elderly Jon, as the implications of Garfield being dead are pretty tragic. The first one could be an edge case if only because it's vaguely relatable so I can see it kind of working, but it's more comedic than anything.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Yeah, the empty bed one is actually kind of sad, but the others can go.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessTook care of them.
From YMMV.Star Wars The Bad Batch
- Tear Jerker:
- The show is inherently this, taking place immediately after the tragedy that was the end of the Clone Wars. There are no more Jedi to save the day and the once great Republic begins its transition into the tyrannical Empire, and we watch as the Bad Batch and the rest of the Clone Troopers struggle to find their place in the Galaxy now that they've been used as tools.
- The trailer has shown that there will be clone-on-clone violence in the series, and not the accidental Friendly Fire incidents or the one-off traitors to the Republic, but the clones earnestly fighting each other with the intent to kill. Everything that made the clones human throughout The Clone Wars has been stripped away by Order 66, and now they truly are just tools to be used and discarded, with the Bad Batch some of the lucky few who have managed to escape this terrible fate.
Is it speculative?
The second one is maybe okay. The first one, I'd say no.
YMMV.Among Us has this:
- Moment of Awesome
- Any time the group works together to correctly guess the imposters.
- On the flip side, the imposters managing to win. Bonus points if they all survive.
- Among Us winning both Best Mobile Game and Best Multiplayer Game at The Game Awards, beating out both Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Call of Duty: Warzone in the case of the latter.
The third item is a meta moment, but I feel like the other two should also be cut for being general examples that amount to "every game is a moment of awesome".
Those are all meta, technically, because winning in a game is on the part of the player, not the game itself.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessAgreed.

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Pooh's Heffalump Movie has this Tear Jerker entry that I don't think anyone, even children, would cry at:
- Poor Eeyore being forgotten by everyone until the end credits.
Correct. You can cut.
TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallDid the honors, one illegitimate example down.
Funny.Caddicarus is too long. And Season 14 is not like the others. Go ahead and count the first-level bullets one by one; you should find 880 wicks by the time you get through S13.
And S14?
247. That's more than twice as many moments as in season 9, which is as many as there are chemical elements. It even railroaded me into creating a Big Damn Sandbox for this Big Damn Mess of a season. And you must clean this.note
I'm back!I'm not really familiar with all of the guidelines on Moments subpages, but Funny.Five Nights At Freddys 1 has folders for "Let's Plays/Reactions", "Outside the game" (blogs, images and stuff?), and "Songs" (which contains one item that seems to be a fan-made song).
It seems like most of it should either be moved to individual work pages (for Lets Plays/Comics etc. that have their own page on here), maybe moved to a FNAF Meme page (which doesn't seem to exist), or...maybe just deleted? I don't really know what we do with meta stuff.
I'm fairly certain we don't allow meta stuff, so I think that can go at least.
TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallTBH, all of the Funny.Five Nights At Freddys subpages need to be cleaned up in general. There’s tons of examples that boil down to just “this thing in the game can be funny if you look at it in this certain way” or are just fridge comedy.

back lolThe tearjerker and heartwarming pages for hololive seems to be crossing one with the other on some of the examples.
Dubious Tearjerker example:
- Kiara reading out her first Superchat messages was already in an emotionally volatile state due to being overwhelmed with love and support, as well as having gone on reading for roughly 2 hours. She then came across one that questioned her self-dubbing (repeating herself in Japanese for whatever she says in English) and broke down in tears for a few minutes and confessed that while she thought the Superchat donor probably was giving some honest criticism and meant well, this was a sore spot for her since she doesn't see herself as possessing any real talent other than her multilingual fluency. She cheered up shortly after by reading another message containing Big Smoke's order, but seeing the display of emotion was very sobering for her viewers due to her normally exciteable and carefree nature.
- Thankfully the story has a happy ending, as the donor in question tweeted Kiara a few days later to apologize and explain that he wasn't trying to be critical or hurtful; she accepted his apology, saying that she figured he was just trying to be helpful, and likewise apologized for the backlash he'd suffered from fans who were upset at his initial message. This is what puts it in doubt.
Dubious Heartwarming example:
- It's extremely bittersweet, but when it became clear that Hololive CN would be culled in the aftermath of the political scandal that took place, all six girls declared that they would make the decision together as a group (ie, if one leaves or graduates, all the others will follow suit). That's right: even with their careers potentially at an end, Hololive CN sticks together till the very last moment. It says "extremely bittersweet", which puts the heartwarming bit into doubt.

Is anything on the Fyre page a real-life example?
