I like Brutal Doom. Is the creator a piece of shit? Yes. But that doesn't stop the game from being a very gory stress reliever. And fun too.
I can't say goodbye to yesterday…Another I wouldn't say is a shameful secret, and I'm not even sure how "controversial" it is, but hell if I'm gonna start an "unpopular opinion" thread, because that's just a terrible idea.
I prefer the original Paper Mario over The Thousand Year Door.
And it's not for nostalgia of the game - Actually, before The Origami King, it was actually the latest Paper Mario I played. Maybe for the console itself, but not for the actual game. I just prefer a lot about it.
That, and the mandatory Backtracking, aka Padding, kind of killed my enjoyment of TTYD. Like, if I want to backtrack, I want it to be my choice, not because the game forces me to for arbitrary reasons, you know?
My AO3 profile. Let sleeping cats lie and be cute and calming.I actually think IGN's infamous "too much water" criticism was completely justified.
—signature not found—I replayed TTYD for the first time since 2009 recently and I was tired of the backtracking by around chapter 2. 4, 6, and 7 kinda destroyed me. XD; 64 and Color Splash are tied for my favorites but I love all the other games too!
I never played Ruby when it first came out, so when I finally got it I was zooming around admiring the Scenery Porn and gushing over how awesome the game was....until I hit the endgame water routes. I stalled somewhere before the Elite Four and ended up restarting.

The Protomen enhanced my life. There's a post-game cosmetic award in Hades you can buy for 25,000 Darkness and it was the only one of the Contractor's wares I had yet to buy. I was getting impatient grinding for it, so just to see what Hades had to say about it, I went to the Mirror, relinquished all my Darkness so I had enough, bought it...
...And then I WALKED INTO ANOTHER ROOM AND IT SAVED. ;_;
The Protomen enhanced my life.Continuing from this post, I've realized that I'm actually pretty bad at Sonic games in general. I don't have quick enough reaction times to get most of the bonuses or secret areas, I get hit a lot, and I don't do well in races or timed missions. If I was the actual Sonic, the whole world would be doomed.
I haven't played the particular game that Tango is from, but still... robo kitty. :DLike the filthy casual I am, I prefer big budget games.
I think I like games where I can do tedious or repetitive things for hours on end, such as grinding in RPGs, or anything like mobile games or Animal Crossing do where you had to wait a while before progressing. I don't mind any of this at all, really, it's why I put up with bad Match-3 games or why 80% of my time with Pokemon games from ORAS to USUM was just spent breeding and Wonder Trade, which led to 1000+ hour playtimes.
Doesn't mean I don't like it when things pick up a little speed, it's certainly appreciated, but I don't mind going slow.

Goddammit, Schezo...As much as I enjoyed playing the Nintendo Switch remake of Link's Awakening, I probably took a lot longer than other players because I simply got lost in dungeons. Sometimes I'd get disoriented and forget where I was going, which switch I had to press, whether I needed to use bombs, etc. My play through of the later dungeons was particularly messy and I'm glad I wasn't recording.
Even when your hope is gone, move along, move along just to make it throughAlthough I had played Goldeneye in the past, I had never beaten or completed it.
"Eratoeir is a Gangsta."I gave up my first run of Super Mario 64 and started over because I couldn't catch the darned monkey on Tall, Tall Mountain again after he stole Mario's hat.
"I shall not be foolish again, my dear Gwendolyn!"I never actually finished Ratchet & Clank (2002). Either something was up with my PS2 or my copy was just straight up fucked, because I could not get past the cutscene on Drek's ship after the Blargian Snagglebeast fight. It just wouldn't do it. It'd get a few seconds in then do this stutter-freeze-thing and just not go any further.
FC: SW-1445-0294-1719/PSN: TekkenGirl4Lyfe/Currently playing: Fire Emblem: The Blazing BladeWay back in 2009 when I used to play the city-building genre, I used to build cities for the purpose of razing them or generating wars and being a Mad God.
My first experience playing Pokémon was in Pokemon Showdown. I was pretty young, so I thought Attack meant the strength of any attack, and my main strategy was Attack! Attack! Attack! I also tried to tell on people in the forms for swearing (which is allowed), but look at me now, exercising my colorful vocabulary every moment I get.
Thousand Dreamers, Watashi wa Saikyo, and Believe slap so hard.It took me years to beat any Pokemon league in any Pokemon game. I sucked as a kid.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI gave up on Pokemon Ruby cause I didn't feel like grinding to beat the Elite Four/Champion.
The Protomen enhanced my life.I only bought the new Dead by Daylight chapter because the Trickster looks like Hongjoong...
FC: SW-1445-0294-1719/PSN: TekkenGirl4Lyfe/Currently playing: Fire Emblem: The Blazing BladeThe Video Game Remake of Super Mario 64 was one of my first DS games. I never even could unlock Mario.

Rock'n'roll never dies!As much as I hate to admit it, I cheated at pretty much all of the Riddle School games by looking up the answers to the puzzles. Including Riddle School 3, which I know know the answers to by heart.

"Oh here it goes, here it goes, here it goes again!"As much as I love the classic Sonic trilogy (1, 2, 3 & Knuckles,) I have never actually finished a single one of them.
The name of the desert kingdom in Miitopia is called Neksdor, being a play on the word next-door as in next door to Greenhorne, the starting town in that game. I didn't pick up on that pun until my THIRD PLAYTHROUGH.
Also, I've been spoiled on every death in the Danganronpa franchise just by being in the fandom. As of this post I still have yet to play any of the games.
"Hmm... it appears that browsing this wiki doesn't seem to violate any school rules. Continue." | My WallI personally love those games, but only could finish the first game. I got to 2's final boss, but could never beat it. Also, I've never had the chance to turn into Super Sonic.

Rock'n'roll never dies! When I discovered the internet when I was a younger person, I used to look up cheats that will allow me to be those games.
"Eratoeir is a Gangsta."Dude, same on being spoiled on all the DR deaths. It's why I'm playing dumb for my playthrough of the first game and I'm going to continue doing so up until the very end of V3. I can't wait to see everyone's reactions when I reveal that I've known everything the whole time~!
FC: SW-1445-0294-1719/PSN: TekkenGirl4Lyfe/Currently playing: Fire Emblem: The Blazing BladeNowi was my first spouse in Fire Emblem: Awakening.
Let's Plays are the only way I get to experience modern games these days, partly because of hardware but mostly because I simply don't have the time to play as much as I want to. It's something to have on in the background while I multi-task with something else, before I have to go to sleep.
