TLP Crash Rescue - Fixing prematurely launched TLPs and pages

Go To

Prematurely launched pages and pages that weren't fully fleshed out at the point of launching, are a big problem. Since these usually share several problems at once, this thread is aimed at re-running them through the TLP for fixing - the usual fix - or cutting them if they are too bad.

Problems this thread deals with include bad names, not enough/bad examples, unclear description, etc.

For the interested, here's a list of recently created pages. Launches

Note: Please do not request a mod to unlaunch drafts that don't have any issues besides lacking a launch notice/24hr launch notice. While 24hr launch notices are mandatory, there are a few exceptions to the rule. If you see a draft's sponsor launch a TLP without an announcement, it's best to remind them of our TLP Guidelines first. If they continue to repeatedly launch drafts without a launch notice, you can report them on Ask The Tropers or the TLP Community Issues thread.

Circle Of Evil has four entirely spoilered examples, three commented out ones, no incoming wicks and is placed in no indexes. Cutlist or try to salvage?

YKTTW and cut the main article in the meantime.

Three more stubs are The Jersey, Lonely Hearts, and Rolling Thunder. It's not clear who their creators are.

I fleshed out Au Pair. I haven't actually seen it, but I'll trust that Wikipedia has at least the broad strokes correct.

So we've had weeks and weeks, and Epic Ship-on-Ship Action still hasn't changed. Including its wicks, it's still just at 2.

Three people in here have agreed the title isn't great.

I'd say that should be enough to resend to YKTTW?

I wrote a YKTTW for The Princess And The Pirate called The Outlaw's Inlaws but it hasn't gotten a lot of attention. This is in response to https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13544789560A75740100&page=128#3181

[up] I saw that, and I think I thought it was unclear? And sort-of very specific but not explaining it. The title also makes it seems like you can just give ZCE of an outlaw's in-laws. Like, "In Show X, John is an outlaw and his parents-in-law are Bob and Alice."

I just stumbled on another stub trope made without YKTTW: Fight Finishing Fist Frame.

I'm up for suggestions like a new name or discarding The Outlaw's Inlaws and cutting The Princess And The Pirate if the concept is bad in general. In response to your issue, you don't just say that a character is an outlaw like saying that he's male. What illegal things has he done? Is it petty theft, piracy, smuggling, vigilantism... His love interest comes from a family that is very lawful. They might be royals who write the law or they might be law enforcement.

I have my doubts about Tsukihammer. The description is unprofessional, it's unindexed and there is no wicks. Also, the fact it's a Fanime stuck in Development Hell makes me think its correct place would rather be DarthWiki/.
