This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

Perky Female Minion's quote doesn't really illustrate anything but the "perky."
EDIT: As for Glorified Sperm Donor, the "high school girlfriends are all single parents" part implies part of the trope, but not the "coming back into the kid's life" part. Nothing on the quotes page really stands out (a couple are too complainy) except maybe the Mamma Mia one, so I dug around for a Steven Universe quote to see if it fits:
- Sour Cream: Dad?!
Marty: Sour Cream?
Sour Cream: W-What are you doing here?
Marty: Uh... S.C. Oof! Just look at you. When did you get so tall?
Sour Cream: Uh, like nine years ago.
Marty: Whoa! Ahem, sorry I've been gone so long, but you know how the music biz can be, riiight?— Steven Universe, "Drop Beat Dad"

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. To be fair, Ty Lee is a good example of this trope, but I admit that particular quote is a bit random.
EDIT: Thanks, I will change it now.

ValdoThe new trope Nerds Are Pervs has the same page quote as Give Geeks a Chance. The quote works well for both (the first part better for Give Geeks a Chance, the second part better for Nerds Are Pervs). Give Geeks a Chance has a Quotes page, but I don't think any work as well as the current quote. The best (in my opinion) is:
What do people think of this one? Any other suggestions for either trope?
I'd rather keep the RotN exchange on the new page and make the change to your suggested quote for GGaC. While on this topic, the reason I popped in to ask a couple days ago about repeat quotes was due to Casablanca's "Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine." topping two pages: It's a Small World, After All and Womanliness as Pathos. It illustrates the first one more directly, imo, but there's a page of Small World quotes and no page for Womanliness. Thoughts?
Vehicle-Based Characterization | Grief-Induced Split | Locker MailI found this quote in the examples of Men Are Generic, Women Are Special, which seems like it would be an improvement on Casablanca for Womanliness as Pathos.
I like the Star Trek quote, but is there a line previous to Kirk's that might give this a bit more context?
And do others agree on the Give Geeks a Chance change?

The context is that Kirk and Spock are attempting to find out why an energy being has a human prisoner, and because their experimental translator assigned it a woman's voice they immediately concluded it was yandere. (Correctly, apparently, thanks to exceptional screenwriting.) The energy being's vocal qualities aren't explicit in the transcript I found, though, and at least to me it seems like any more than those two lines would be more distracting than helpful.
SPOCK: Then it translates its findings into English.
COCHRANE: You mean it speaks?
KIRK: With a voice or the approximation of whatever the creature is on the sending end. Not one hundred percent efficient, but nothing ever is. Ready, Mister Spock?
SPOCK: Quite ready, Captain.
KIRK: Mister Cochrane, call the Companion.
[Outside Cochrane's home]
(Cochrane summons the Companion.)
KIRK: Companion. (It leaves Cochrane) We wish to talk to you.
COMPANION: How can we communicate? My thoughts, you are hearing them. This is interesting.
KIRK: Feminine. No doubt about it.
SPOCK: Yes. The matter of gender could change the entire situation.
KIRK: I'm way ahead of you.
SPOCK: Then it is not a zookeeper.
KIRK: No. A lover.

The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableYeah, I see your point. There's no simple line previous to the quote to succinctly contextualize the quote. Given that, I vote for changing Womanliness as Pathos for the two-line Star Trek quote. (And thanks for putting the work in for the longer transcript!)

Suggestion for TheAce.Live Action Films:
Edited by SkyCat32 on Mar 15th 2023 at 9:45:20 AM
Rawr.Maybe be a bit of personal bias because Hot Fuzz is one of my favourite films ever Sky but I think that quote nails it IMO.
Oh, Mr. Kennedy, you entertain me. To show my appreciation, I will help you awaken from your world of clichés.Way too long.
That’s much too long for a page topper. It’d be a great fit on Quotes. The Ace, though.

Suggestion for NotSoDifferentRemark.Live Action Films:
Normally I wouldn't propose a quote with a slur, but this one is very succinct.
For BondOneLiner.Live Action Films:
This one may be too long.

Rawr.Which do you like better for Monster: Avatar: The Last Airbender?
Or...
I like the first better myself.

CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsI actually like the second.
I prefer the 2nd Ozai quote it has that scale IMO.
The first Ozai quote just seems like a form of Prepare to Die

Oh, Mr. Kennedy, you entertain me. To show my appreciation, I will help you awaken from your world of clichés.I unfortunately don't think either are good fits. The second one is too long, and the first one doesn't represent the trope well. A "Not So Different" Remark is typically the villain pointing out that they and the hero are more similar than the hero is willing to admit. The Django quote is more about Django pointing out Leonide's Internalized Categorism.
For NotSoDifferentRemark.LiveActionFilms, what about:
Anakin: The Sith rely on their passion for their strength. They think inwards, only about themselves.
Palpatine: And the Jedi don't?
Except a "Not So Different" Remark can be between any two parties, not just a villain taunting a hero. That's literally how TRS has agreed to define it. (And speaking has someone who did a massive bulk of the TRS cleanup, I can promise you that the villain examples aren't "more common" at all)

Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessQuote on Sea Mine is unsourced.
That seems like one of those "classic jokes" that gets passed around so much that nobody can remember the source.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing. The same vein as "everything is edible at least once." I'd just cite it as "humorous saying."
Regarding the Django quotes, I don't think the first one was particularly indicative. (Can't tell the significance of who Calvin is or how that relates to the second line at all, given I haven't seen the movie.) The second quote looks fine for Quotes.Bond One Liner.
Vehicle-Based Characterization | Grief-Induced Split | Locker MailI recently added this to the quotes page of Popularity Polynomial but I'm starting to wonder if it would fit better under Vindicated by History. Let me know which trope you think the quote fits better with

Crown Description:
What should be the page quote for Monster.Fan Works?
I agree that it doesn't illustrate it either.
