That's on Miiverse is a weekly Web Video series on the YouTube channel BradleyNews11 wherein Bradley humorously acts out some of the worst and weirdest posts on Nintendo's Miiverse social network. To maximize the humor value, Bradley puts on a variety of accents, often pronounces misspelled posts phonetically, and even turns some posts into short skits.
The series is currently at 51 episodes, with the playlist available here. However, due to lack of time to make them, the gap between episodes became increasingly widened until the series was put on hiatus altogether. Bradley even Lampshaded this in the description for its most recent episode to date: "See you in 5 months in the next one!"note
This series contains examples of the following tropes:
- The Ahnold: One of the voices that Bradley puts on for a certain post.
- all lowercase letters: several of the posts.
- Brick Joke: In episode 41, one post was "Block of cheese," which Bradley read, and then licked a block of cheese. Later, in episode 43, one post was just "Block of," which Bradley read, and then he held up the same block of cheese, said "...cheese," and licked it.
- Conspiracy Theorist: One user posted a conspiracy theory that The Legend of Zelda is The Illuminati. The theory was dependent on Illuminati being 9 letters long and containing two O's.
- Cowboy BeBop at His Computer: Shows up from time to time, such as one post stating that Luigi and Rosalina can't hook up because they're not in the same games note and they're not related.
- Crossover Ship: Defied by one poster who said that being from different games is half the reason why Luigi and Rosalina can't hook up.
- Double Take: Bradley does one after reading a post where someone says that their wife left them and took their kids.
- Erotic Eating: Parodied the second time he licks a block of cheese.
- Inherently Funny Words: Teletubby.
- Incest Yay Shipping: One of the reasons Luigi and Rosalina can't hook up is that they're not related.
- Loads and Loads of Loading: Referenced in an unusual way:"Loading time is tall"
- Mood Whiplash: A Running Gag in the Super Mario 3D World Community where someone says, "This game is fun [insert traumatizing family event here]"
- No Punctuation Period: A great number of the posts
- Overly Long Gag: "me we me we me we me we"
- Soup.
- Some post I saw.
- Potty Emergency:
- Bradley interpreted the post "poop poop poop" to be this, leading to a short scene where Bradley rushed to the bathroom while calmly reading the post with classical music played over it.
- There's also one as a "long-awaited sequel" to the Wi-Fi emergency.
- Another episode had a roleplay devoted to it.
- Potty Failure: An Unusual Euphemism for it."I just dumped in my lederhosen!"
- Precious Puppy: "I petted my dog."
- Public Domain Soundtrack: Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata is the background music sometimes used when Bradley reads "sad" posts.
- Rouge Angles of Satin: So, so many of the posts feature misspellings of words, Nintendo character names, and games. Luigi seems to get the worst of it.
- Rule of Three: Sometimes done with certain sounds and verbal tics.
- Running Gag: Luigi's name suffering from Rouge Angles of Satin.
- Sakurai reacting to the bad Super Smash Bros. posts. Specifically ones talking about peanut butter waffles.
- The Super Mario 3D World posts consisting of Mood Whiplash.
- I'M SORRY MIKE!
- Starting to read a post, only to abruptly cut to another one.
- Similarly, posts that end in the middle of a sentence will sometimes
- Sarcastic Clapping: One user wrote a post with the trope name, and guess what Bradley did?
- Scare Chord: Used to emphasize the creepiness of some posts.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Some posts are so unintelligible that Bradley just gives up.
- Shout-Out: Sometimes, Bradley's delivery sounds like Jim Carrey in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, and he even says, "Allrighty then."
- There are a couple of shout-outs to Spongebob Squarepants in several episodes, especially episode 44.
- So Bad, It's Good: Invoked and milked for all it's worth.
- Stuff Blowing Up: Like when someone on Miiverse had a Wi-Fi emergency and was going to explode if they did not get any Wi-Fi, and soon.
- Toilet Humor: Used many times.
- Troubling Unchildlike Behavior: Implied with the post "But Mommy, I wanna see big booty!"
- Two Words: Added Emphasis: Subverted."Two words: That was hard, but I beat it."
- Played straight for a post in episode twenty eight:
"Two words: Wayne's World." - Valley Girl: Another accent that Bradley puts on, such as for the post that wonders how much it costs to use Miiverse (it does not cost anything to use).
- Viewer Gender Confusion: An In-Universe example:"In my opinion, Marth is the cutest girl in the game." note
