Minecraft... IN SPACE!!! A rare science fiction-themed map, made by the Voxel Box team. The player plays as Pro. Tagonist, officer of an agency called GR7 who has been tasked with capturing Dr. Earl S. Testudine, a renegade scientist-turned-terrorist from a mining company.
This map contains examples of:
- Apocalyptic Log: Many of them can be found in the facilities on Tarsus III. They don't tend to make a whole lot of sense.
- Beautiful Void: Whether it's sweeping alien vistas or intricate high-tech facilities, the settings are always almost completely devoid of life.
- Development Hell: This map was under construction for a loooong time. Of course, it took massive amounts of work to put together.
- Down the Drain: How you enter the secret area. Literally.
- Human Popsicle: Pro. Tagonist wakes up from this at the start of the map. Everyone except them, Dr. Testudine, and Captain Schmidt died while in stasis.
- Insistent Terminology: In the texture pack, every item is renamed to fit the sci-fi theme: armor is space suits, minecarts are escape pods, food is MedPacks, Redstone torches are Power Cells, etc..
- Kick the Dog: Dr. Testudine's great escape had him also kill all the crew, just 'cause (Pro. Tagonist and Captain Schmidt survived, though).
- Lethal Lava Land: One of the challenges in the mine is a lake of Lava.
- Never Trust a Title: It is a chase in deep space, but it has nothing to do with turtles.
- Posthumous Character: All the other crew members. Reading their diaries that you find is actually kind of creepy.
- Stuff Blowing Up: The space station explodes when you leave it. 'Cause it's cool.
