Perfect Diamond World is a tetralogy of Frozen fanfics by Solosam. The series consists of: A Perfect Diamond World, A Broken Mirror World, The Infinite Prison, and The Ravens of Asgard

The first fic takes place from the POV of an Arendelle soldier named Tycho Halvdan. Tycho is in love with Elsa but realizes he can never have her. While on a ship travelling to make negotiations with Elsa's future husband, Tycho discovers a shocking secret: Elsa has a lover, and not only a lover, but her own sister for a lover. The two beg him to not tell anyone, which Tycho is more than happy to do in his disdain. Things take an even worse turn when a pirate ship appears...

The series was deleted from FanfictionDotNet, but the first fic can be read in the Wayback Machine Here.

These fanfics contain examples of:

  • Adaptation Species Change:
    • Elsa and Anna are half-god hybrids, not normal humans.
    • Agdar is a human in canon. In this series, he is a god punished to live as a mortal for falling for his sister.
  • Adaptational Villainy: Hans is more violent and evil than in canon. Any redeeming elements are nonexistent.
  • The Beard:
    • Elsa tries to marry a barely relevant noble from a foreign country in order to hide her sexuality, and more importantly her relationship with Anna.
    • Iris is with the Earl because he's rich.
  • Brother–Sister Incest:
    • Elsa and Anna are sisters in a relationship. It's implied that Anna was drawn to Elsa because she's the only person she feels truly safe and loved around.
    • Agdar fell in love with his sister Signy; however, he was caught and punished. The two were split apart into alternate universes and forced to live as mortals for all eternity.
  • Bungled Suicide: Iris tried to shoot herself after she caused the world to freeze in her shock. She failed because the powder couldn't burn.
  • Crossover: With Peter Pan and Disney Fairies in the first story.
  • Clashing Cousins: Iris' bitter, cynical nature contrasts with that of Anna and Elsa's. They however don't realize their relation until after they meet.
  • Convenient Miscarriage: Iris ends up pregnant by Tycho and doesn't know what to do about it. He loves her, and she is only using him, but she wonders if she could be in a loveless relationship with him if it's in the best interests of her and their baby. It's all moot as she gets shot and loses the baby to infection. Or so she says. She actually ran off with her son, Baldr, because she didn't love Tycho.
  • Divine Parentage: Elsa and Anna are demi-gods. They're half-human/half-god.
  • Evil Counterpart: Iris is considered one to Elsa (and is based on Elsa's developmental villainous characterization) and Anna even calls her Elsa's "evil twin". In actuality, she's more cynical and jaded than outright evil.
  • Fantastic Religious Weirdness: Elsa is Lutheran but recognizes that other gods exist. She's even related to gods.
  • Gayngst: Anna predominantly likes men, but is also in love with her sister. She has conflicting issues when it comes to her bisexuality.
  • Genre Shift: Partway through the first fic when Captain Hook appears. It shifts from Historical Fantasy to sci-fi once the parallel universes come into play.
  • Gold Digger: Iris married a man because of his money, not because of attraction. She isn't into men and especially not her husband. When Iris ran off, another woman did the same because she needed money.
  • Grow Old with Me: Anna and Elsa discuss this. They jokingly discuss being old women with nineteen sweater-wearing cats.
  • Identical Stranger: Elsa and Iris look identical, except the latter has short black hair. That's because they're the same person from different universes.
  • Improbable Infant Survival: It seemed like Iris' child had died in the womb. In reality, his mother ran off with him]]. Iris ends up dying, but her child is safe.
  • Lie Back and Think of England: Iris has this view on sex with Tycho. She's not attracted to him, or men in general, however she can put up with sex if it keeps him from running off.
  • Living Emotional Crutch:
    • Even more so than Elsa, Iris' Anna is this to her. Iris never learned to love herself and thus Anna was the only thing anchoring her down. This suffocated Anna, as she felt she needed to love Iris or else something bad would happen. After she left Iris for Tycho, Iris fled to another universe because she couldn't stand being in the same world as her.
    • Iris begins a relationship with Tycho, despite not loving him, because she believes he's the only man out there who can be her crutch and be devoted to her.
  • Long-Lost Relative: Iris is not just Elsa's counterpart from another universe. The two are first-cousins through their maternal and paternal parents respectively.
  • Really 700 Years Old: Agdar is over 1300 years old.
  • Riches to Rags: Elsa and Anna run off together and go from royalty to normal middle-class civilians.
  • Secret Relationship: Elsa and Anna have one. A priest finds out and holds it over their head as blackmail. The two end up moving to England together and pretend to be widowed friends living together.
  • Setting Update; Inverted. The story starts in 1808 and ends in 1837. Word of God is that Frozen takes place in the 1840s.
  • Stepford Smiler:
    • Iris is rather dead inside but she keeps her troubles to herself.
    • Implied with Iris' Anna. She felt loving Iris was mandatory. She kept on being with her until she couldn't stand it anymore and eventually broke it off.
  • That Man Is Dead: Iris was named "Elsa" at one point, but leaving her old life also led to her changing her name.
