20-year-old Nathan "Spike" Draco hopes to become a wildlife photographer, but suffers from a severe case of gynophobia. He joined a marine biology crew to study and take pictures of marine wildlife. However, thanks to a storm and sabotage, Spike would quickly find himself on an unchartered island with the rest of the crew missing.
While searching for his missing crewmates, Spike would quickly discover that the island is home to a mad scientist who experiments on people by turning them into half-human half-animal hybrids. Spike quickly escapes but finds himself lost within the island's wilderness where the mad doctor's unholy experiments roam about.
Spike would then run into a group of she-beasts who were once normal college girls that came to this island a year prior and have been trying to fight off their more animalistic urges. Spike is going to have to get over his phobia and work with these beast girls if he has any chance of getting off this island, if at all...

- A deranged teenage girl who was arrested for almost molesting a minor; Spike, traumatizing him to have gynophobia.
- Cozy Glow to Loona, considering how horribly the former terrified the latter, which says a lot.
- Abusive Parent: To say that Grogar is a shit father to both of his "sons" would be an understatement. He put Shade through some very nasty training when he was young to "toughen him up" and he put an inhibitor chip in Newt's brain to keep him in line.
- Asshole Victim:
- Tirek, Chrysalis, Cozy Glow, Sombra, and The Storm King. These individuals were Grogar's previous benefactors and when they got impatient and threatened to cut his founding, Grogar trapped them and became victims of his experiments as a result and turning them into nearly mindless Berserkers. Do NOT feel sorry for these people as each one of them were horrible pieces of work: Tirek was an arms dealer who sold weapons to third world countries and gave Grogar his first test subject, who was his own brother; Chrysalis was a sex trafficker who kidnapped young women off the streets and sells them as prostitutes, she was also verbally and emotionally abusive to her children; Cozy Glow was a Spoiled Brat with an explosive temper and had ties with the mafia as well as abused poor Loona when she was still a normal dog; Sombra was corporate scumbag who was sexually abusive to his fiancé, Radiant Hope, and he treated her as nothing more than a baby maker; And the Storm King was a big time Californian crime lord who ruled the west coast with an iron fist. On top of that, they were the ones who let Ēferno loose which destroyed Grogar's credibility in the first place.
- Blueblood, Rarity's Bastard Boyfriend who not only treated her like crap but tried to let Grogar experiment on her first instead of him. Needless to say, even the mad scientist was disgusted and experimented on him first, turning him into a literal Butt-Monkey.
- Adaptation Species Change: Loona is a hellhound in canon, whereas in this story, she was a wolf-dog genetically altered to be an anthropomorphic Reverse-Hybrid.
- Always Save the Girl: Spike's first step to recovering from his gynophobia (fear of women), and the start of a beautiful relationship with the She-Beasts.
- Battle Harem: All of the girls are capable fighters.
- Because You Were Nice to Me: How Spike gradually falls in love with each of the girls and vice versa. Unlike the derange teenager who nearly molested him when he was six each of the girls looked after Spike, wanting him to be taken cared and comfortable as possible. In return, Spike tends to go out of his way and saved them from most of Grogar’s creations running lose.
- Big Bad Ensemble: Downplayed example. While Dr. Grogar is the overall Big Bad of the story, Spike and the girls often run into a slew of secondary antagonists such as Shade Stalker, the Berserkers (Tirek, Chrysalis, Sombra, Cozy Glow, and the Storm King), Blueblood, and
Eferno. - Bratty Half-Pint: Cozy Glow, cranked up to 11, with a whip, and abuse towards poor Loona. Luckily, she got her comeuppance.
- Dartboard of Hate: Dr. Grogar has one for his old rival, Professor Starswirl.
- Fanservice: In a manner of speaking, to the appeals of the furry fandom.
- Grew a Spine: On some occasions, instead of running from dangerous situations like he initially does, or like a realistic person, Spike would have a sudden burst of courage to play the big hero and save the girls…without a plan which usually gets him badly injured at best or nearly killed at worst.
- Interspecies Romance: Technically, the girls started out as humans, before they were genetically altered into undergoing a forced Animorphism that turns them into Half-Human Hybrid. The same for Leggy Lamb, Beatrice, Loona, and Marina who started out as ordinary animals, before they became Funny Animals Reverse-Hybrids. Nevertheless, Spike still loves them all.
- Isle of Giant Horrors: This island Spike is stuck on not only have beastman hybrids, but it also has monstrous chimera-like creatures that are the size of tractors and the apex predator on the island is a colossal dragon-like beast named Ēferno
- Kick the Dog: Literally, how Cozy Glow “plays” with Loona to make the latter obedient.
- Nice Guy: Spike. While he may be scared of women, the thought of abandoning any helpless female — women, She-Beasts, even Reverse-Hybrid — to a life-threatening situation is beneath him.
- Our Zombies Are Different: The Berserker Chrysalis creates zombified minions thanks to the parasites she injects in them via through her stinger tail.
- Tantrum Throwing: How Cozy Glow reacts when Loona disobeys her. Going as far as whipping her and putting the dog on a timeout.
- Tiger vs. Dragon: One of Ēferno's rivals on the island is a tiger-man hybrid and it's heavily implied that they clash quite often.
- Tsundere: Loona to a T.
- The Dog Bites Back: Literally. After witnessing Spike coming back to save her from Cozy Glow’s abuse, Loona gets her revenge on Cozy Glow by beating her to a pulp, but barely.
- Unwanted Harem: In the beginning, Spike wanted nothing to do with the She-Beasts, and Reverse-Hybrids, but was willing to cooperate with them in order to survive and escape the island. It becomes a zig-zag as Spike starts to develop and his love for each of the girls are realized.
