Heroes
A boy born from The Fourth Star of Seikaizan who joins Team Wataru through the journey of Wataru 2.
In order to unseal his father from a container made from Dowarudar's evil force, Umihiko is out to collect the spirits of the Mashins controlled by the bosses of each stellar province. Along the way, in order to make himself stronger in combat, he sets his eyes on Wataru's sword for possession, and started tracking down Team Wataru since they set foot on the First Star.
- Character Development: One of the forerunners of the Tsundere archetype during the period where anime characters were created through exploring the "Vegeta Expy." Umihiko was introduced more as a mysterious kid who shares a common goal with The Hero, but who only wants to venture through the journey his own way without asking for help. The more he attempts to move on alone, the more frustrated he becomes. As Wataru, Kurama, and Toraoh slowly influence him, he becomes more willing to befriend the group, socialize, learn to speak up his thoughts and feelings, trust his friends, and grow into a cordial young man.
- Embarrassing Nickname: Himiko initially would call him by either "Yamabiko", or "Yamahiko." Elevating his name to a whole other plane.note But after seeing Umihiko a couple of times and warms up to him, Himiko settles with, "Hiko-chan."
- Shounen Hair: Umihiko holds the most voluminous of hairstyles of the entire franchise to the point where he can put afros to shame; he even has to "tie up" a thick lock located in front of his face to get them out of the way.
A ninja guard of the Third Star Kingdom, Chuta has been waiting for Savior Wataru to arrive to their stellar province. He saved Team Wataru from being captured by Wulong Tea's squad, and vows to aid Team Wataru through the Third Star to save his brainwashed Shogun—Ora Nomgana.
- Drama King: Chuta won't lose a single second to bathe himself in river-flowing tears, and ooze himself with hammy speeches. Chuta is an embodiment of Japanese romantic Melo- Jidaigeki, therefore he can't help himself to go about life without odes of drama.
- Expy: Of Chuta Ban of Kyojin no Hoshi (Star of the Giants). Joji Yanami was the voice actor of Ban for the TV and movie series, while Tesshō Genda was Ban of the OVA.
- Fireball Eyeballs: His overflowing romantic hamminess would shoot flames out of his eyes. Himiko uses them to grill delicious barbecue.
- Game of Nerds: In echoing his expy status, Ninjinmaru and Hoshi's combine attack is pure Hotblooded Baseball offense.
Notable Denizens of Seikaizan
Fourth Star
Notable Denizens of the Space Realm
The crown princess of The Space Realm. She holds the power source to power-up Mashins to adapt in space, therefore, she became the target of Marudaruma's squad so that their army can overpower Ryujinmaru. Prior to being captured, she provided New Ryujinmaru the star power to power-up into New Ryujinmaru: Cosmo Mode to combat Marudaruma's squad.
- Identical Stranger: She looks exactly like Himiko. Thanks to this, Team Wataru and Marudaruma's squad mistook the identities of the two girls and took the wrong girls with them; making Puri-Puri earn the blessing to be protected by Team Wataru, while Marudaruma became overwhelmed with Himiko around.
- The Ingenue: If Himiko was ever prim and proper, Puri-Puri's example would give you a taste on how that would play out.
- Magical Girl: She twirls her Magic Wand and chant Magical Incantation to produce a Transformation Sequence full of 80's magical girl shout-outs not to give herself any power-ups, but to give Mashin's power-ups. Now who says the Super Robot genre is only for boys?
- Mythology Gag: To note, people who were introduced to the franchise starting from Wataru 2 may wonder why in-universe characters couldn't tell Puri-Puri and Himiko apart despite having "obvious differentiable artistic looks." The truth to the matter is, Puri-Puri holds Himiko's default Bishoujo eyes from the first series. Super Robot Wars X most likely used Puri-Puri as the base to properly redesign Himiko back to the Bishoujo look she had from the first installment, while keeping the expressive quirks Himiko solidified from the second installment.
- Princess Classic
Deities
A deity who presented himself before Team Wataru to request them to go around space and time to search for their missing fragment of love for themselves. Once all members passed their test as a group, Kamoshirenu would give Ryuseimaru his new transformation mode—"Ryuseimaru: Hiryu Mode".
