     Puni

The mascot of the series.
  • The Cameo: He will occasionally appear in the episode proper.
  • Cartoon Creature: He looks like a strange cross between a capybara, a guinea pig, and a Moomin. It's not specified what species he is, but one story has him say he is a fairy.
  • Verbal Tic: He says "Puni" at the end of sentences.

     Kanade

A platinum-blonde haired woman.
  • Depending on the Artist: Some episodes depict her with light lavender hair instead of platinum blond.
  • The Ditz: In episodes pitting her against a female antagonist with a "self-proclaimed naive girl" shtick, she is depicted as an actual "naive girl" whose natural ditziness threatens the former's "reputation" and chances of attracting all the guys.
  • Extreme Doormat: She will often let others walk all over her until she stands up for herself or others stand up for her.
  • Good Cannot Comprehend Evil: In later stories, she can't fathom the thought of someone being mean for the sake of it.
  • Gold Digger: In the Poor Girl Series she is a sympathetic example since she was born and raised in poverty, with her mother, Teruyama, enrolling her in Soprano High so she could find a rich guy to marry later on and thus get out of their current situation.
  • Horrible Judge of Character: Downplayed. Later stories make Kanade so nice that she is incapable of seeing the bad side of people until it's too late.
  • Naïve Everygirl: Kanade is quite oblivious and naïve which the antagonists often exploit.
  • Nice Girl: She is nice to a fault even to those who torment her.
  • Plain Jane: Kanade often describes herself as unattractive and less flamboyant compared to other girls.
  • Theme Naming: Her name comes from the Japanese verb kanaderunote , which means "to play an instrument," setting the musical naming pattern with Alto and Onpu.

     Onpu

  • Asleep in Class: Often sleeps during class because she finds the material too easy and dull.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: She has more of a backbone than her mother.
  • Child Prodigy: She is often depicted as a "kid genius" in the episodes featuring her as a protagonist, often using her intellect to save her friends and family from any trouble.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: Onpu resembles a younger version of Kanade and is often her daughter.
  • Theme Naming: Her name is the Japanese word for "musical note," continuing with the music-themed naming pattern Kanade and Alto follow.

     Ram

  • Beta Couple: She is often paired with Kairi.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: In spite of her good-natured demeanor, she can attack those who wronged her.
  • Sadist Teacher: One episode has her as a strict teacher who often lectures students about breaking school rules even outside of school grounds. Subverted when it's revealed that she does care for the students when she stayed late with Kanade when she got sick and the other students only view her as otherwise due to how strict she is.

     Alto

  • Depending on the Artist: Some episodes depict him with platinum blond hair instead of his usual pink.
  • Great Detective: Some episodes have him as a detective that can gather information for the protagonists. As a child, he is inspired by Detective Conan on TV.
  • Malaproper: He tends to mess up foreign words and sayings.
  • Nice Guy: He is a nice guy but he does have more of a backbone than Kanade.
  • Official Couple: He is often paired with Kanade.
  • Real Men Wear Pink: In this story, Kanade blurts out that he likes making sweets.
  • Theme Naming: "Alto" is the name of a vocal range in choral music, which sets the musical naming pattern with Kanade and Onpu.
  • Tsundere: He acts like this towards Kanade throughout the "Poor Girl Series".

     Takeuchi

A gonky man. He is often an otaku.
  • Beta Couple: In stories where he is a supporting character, he is often paired with Teruyama.
  • Crusading Lawyer: One episode had him become Alto and Kanade's lawyer to defend them from a extorting couple. He shut down the couple down pretty quickly when they gave their sob story and they were forced to pay a huge fine.
  • Gonk: He is the stereotypical example of an otaku, so being ugly is a given.
  • Stalker with a Crush: Many episode that feature him have him creep on Kanade.

     Teruyama

  • Beta Couple: She is often paired with Takeuchi.
  • Gonky Femme: She is quite unappealing which is the source of her insecurities.

     Karin

  • Alpha Bitch: If the story is set in a school where she is a student, she is likely to be this.
  • Ambiguously Brown: She is the only dark skinned character in the series and her race is not specified.
  • Beta Bitch: She used to be this in earlier stories, as one of Erika's underlings.
  • Beta Couple: She is often paired with Casino.
  • The Mistress: If a female protagonist's husband is cheating on her, she may be his affair partner.

     Erika

  • Alpha Bitch: Her most common role in the story is to be the most popular girl, often with Kanade being her rival.
  • Beta Couple: Whenever she isn't the antagonist, she is often paired with Baccarat.
  • Rich Bitch: Some episode have play the role of a stuck-up rich girl.
  • The Rival: She is often this to Kanade, whom she fights for Alto's affection.

     Casino

  • Angry Chef: One story has him be an arrogant chef that criticizes a restaurant's food and tried to get a waiter to call the manager.
  • Beta Couple: He is often paired with Erica whenever she is the protagonist.
  • Brainless Beauty: He is sometimes portrayed as one.
  • Domestic Abuser: Whenever he is portrayed as Kanade's husband.
  • Hikikomori: He ended up as this twice, once because he couldn't handle criticism at his work and the other time because he didn't feel hated at home.

     Tae "Shotae" Hajime

A brown-haired girl with glasses.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: She became who she is because a little boy offered her candy at the park to cheer her up since she was in debt and lost it all.
  • Fountain of Youth: Her modus operandi. She targets high school boys with her infantilization medicine to de-age them into babies or toddlers so she can have her way with them.
  • Freudian Excuse: This story explains the reason why she is like this. Her father left her with his huge debt, her ex cheated on her, and an editor for her manga stole a million yen and ran away despite promising to publish it. When she was sitting in a bench at the park depressed, a little boy showed up and offered her candy.
  • Hates Being Nicknamed: In an earlier story, she objected to Kanade calling her "Shotae" and constantly reminded her that her name is Tae Hajime.
  • Mad Scientist: A self-professed genius scientist. She has managed to infantilize people and was behind the visualization of the probability of someone going to jail phenomenon.

     Shion 
A little boy who is often cast as either Alto's son or younger brother.

     Utako 
A young woman who is often Kanade's younger sister.
  • Depending on the Artist: Given the self-contained nature of the channel's stories, her design varies from story to story and sometimes the artists don't even bother with making her look like she's related to Kanade.
  • Theme Naming: Following Kanade and Alto's musical naming pattern, her name means "song child".

     Shirayuki

A blond little girl who is often Erica's daughter.
  • Aerith and Bob: A translation-induced case whenever the English version of her name, Snow White, is used. Like Casino, Baccarat, and Alto, the translated version of her name stands out among a cast with mostly Japanese names whenever it's used.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: She is blonde and a kindhearted girl.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: Snow White resembles a younger version of Erica and is often her daughter.

     Sakura
