  • "After being taunted with a wheelchair on a graduation trip and left at a train station": Misuzu and her posse kicked Kanade and Haru out of the graduation trip to Disneyland. It's hard not to feel sorry for Kanade, especially taking into account it was her idea and she planned it with with the five of them in mind.

  • "My sister, who takes all my things, brags that she stole my boyfriend. But she was mistaken.." [sic] is full of sad moments as well.
    • The episode starts with baby Kanade crying as her Puni doll tries to calm her. Moreover, no one knows what happened to her parents before she was in the orphanage, but it's implied that said doll could be a keepsake, implying her birth parents were in a situation so dire they couldn't raise her.
    • When Kanade was adopted by Karin and Baccarat, they started off loving her until their biological daughter Milano was born, after which the couple started abusing the former for not being their "real" child. What's more heartbreaking, it's that this kind of abuse happens in real life.
    • After Milano stole her first boyfriend and got praised for it, Kanade tried to bid farewell to Alto as she left the house in search of a job to provide for herself. However, because his parents got in her way, she ties her Puni doll to a letter for him and bids it farewell too. What's more heartbreaking is the doll's reaction to the whole thing.

  • "My parents left me on a deserted island, and ten years later I became a yakuza,":
    • Ram's parents and her sister, Momo, act nice towards her to keep her ignorant of their plans to abandon her. Moreover, she was excited to be finally accepted into the family only to have her hopes crushed as the couple left her stranded on an island while gloating. If it wasn't for Kairi and his gang finding her, she would have died of starvation or attacked by wild animals.
