Weird dreams

In last night's one, I was on some sort of group trip to some underwater caverns. Nobody had any trouble breathing underwater. At one point, a small shark showed up, and I petted it. It was rather ticklish, and tried to bite me a couple times.

After the shark had left, the group I was part of started playing some sort of game that would be best described as underwater high-speed tennis with everyone holding two rackets. Don't remember much about that part.

Twin Bro and I were playing a tabletop RPG. We were both acting like DMs, both keeping the scenario moving along and telling the other one to roll.

But it was all mundane stuff, like, "You're making a sauce to put on pasta. Roll for effectiveness. Oh, a 1? Okay, you're out of fish for the sauce, and now you have to go to Bass Pro Shops and fish in their giant aquarium."

"Okay, while I'm doing that, you're at the gay pride parade with your kid. Roll for luck. Dude, a 27?! The kid is in the parade. Roll a spot check to make sure you can find them afterward. You got a five. Let's...go back to my scenario with the fish, while I think of how to finagle this."

I had that dream again. x_x Remember that post I made in the Insecurities thread where I said I felt like I was having somebody else's bad dream? Here's how it went...

One of Jayden and Aislin's daughters, Maebh, wakes up in her bed, and when she looks out the window, she doesn't see Mhithl'ithoth's storm, but instead a regular starlit night sky. She takes it to mean that the war is over and looks around her darkened room, happily thinking everything is as it should be... until she sees a certain pair of poisonous yellow eyes menacingly staring at her in the darkness. x_x

I was meeting up with a friend of mine. This guy is so ridiculously attractive that he makes me forget how to think thoughts.

The plan was for us to go roller skating with all of the Denver Broncos, then go to the bar, and then go back to his place. (The fact that he's married and I'm deeply in love with someone else was never addressed.)

So, we got to the rink, got some margaritas at the rink's bar, and started skating. (I can't drink. I don't skate. Yet I was okay with all of this.) The Broncos showed up, and my buddy knew all of them, so I got to meet the Broncos. :D

Then! My twin bro showed up! I figured out at that point that I was dreaming, since he lives across the country, and I straight-up didn't care! I bought him a beer, sat down at the bar, and we started talking. I missed out on hanging out with the Broncos, and having sex with a Real Life Mr. Fanservice, so I could have a drink with my twin bro.

And then the alarm went off and I was sad.

This was a while ago, but it's the last one I remember having:

We got a giant tortoise as a pet - he has a temporary, plastic shell because he hasn't grown his own yet. I'm outside in the yard and I'm supposed to be playing with the tortoise, but I notice the shell is causing it to have trouble getting around, so I take it off for him. He walks into a wheelbarrow in the yard and gets hurt, and I'm worried about all the trouble I'll get into for taking that shell off.

My visit to This Very Wiki in the dream realm was... unusual.

I was checking Hunger Games Simulation, as usual. After Zanreo posted the next update of Season 202 (which has just finished, by the way), she also wrote an "eight-foot-long" rant about how TinkerQuarry was pulled from Steam because of an irreparable Game-Breaking Bug, with a YouTube video to boot!

And then I was backreading my old posts in "Bad Ideas for Forum Games v2", and saw that Sarysa's new avatar was a white wooly Skitty named Nambio. Their^note don't remember their gender title was in all caps saying that they were secretly a cannibal, and they spoke    LIKE THIS    in the signature. I refreshed the page, and now the avatar is some weird Pokefusion of Skitty and Cut Rotom!

And I was browsing this in a Chinese restaurant. Guess my dream self mixed up Zanreo with DrNoPuma and Sarysa with Kablammin 45.

I once had this dream where I was watching this movie called 'the prison with high walls'. It started with a far off view of a tower block. Then I was inside it. Everyone was running around in pyjamas screaming. It was light outside but quite black on the inside. A boy dropped dead in front of me. We were climbing up the walls to try and escape. Then it went back to random dream stuff. I woke up the next morning with an extremely strong feeling that something bad was going to happen. Turns out that was the night the greenfell tower fire happened. The tower in my dream looked exactly like greenfell tower too.

A little while ago, TQ updates were being delayed because the creator was having trouble with bugs. I don't know if she's still having trouble or not, but what you described would be my worst nightmare. :P

My dream last night was... interesting. XD

In the dream, I was with my family, and I was trying to remember some (made up for the dream) computer game I had played when I was a kid. The game involved a lot of Defanged Horrors, and although it never scared me, my mom was actually horrified that I had played it.

I don't remember much about the game. There was this one underwater level with starfish-like enemies. There was one point in the game where an anthropomorphic fox sings a Villain Song to manipulate the Kid Hero (like a darker version of Pinocchio, I guess. ) The fox was voiced by Tim Curry, which is fitting, considering that he voiced another evil child-hating fox. :P

Then we were playing some new video game, where me and my brothers were actually in the game.

The first part involved climbing up a huge wall, then jumping down into the water below and swimming to a shore nearby. My little brother was scared to do this at first, but I think he got over it.

The second part suddenly turned the game into a Yoshi's Island boss. To beat it, we had to figure out a way for all of us to throw eggs at the same time. At one point, I changed my character from Yoshi to some flying character, and I flew around the stage to get hidden collectibles.

In the third part, we had to walk along a shoreline while enormous waves pounded the shore. I guess this part was based on the level "Tidal Terror" from Donkey Kong Country Returns.

My dream was about going to Costco, eating at food trucks with ridiculous gimmicks (like one that launched customers' burritos out of an air cannon), and solving a gruesome murder.

A woman had been shopping with her mother. When they went back to the car, the mother was beaten to death. I had to figure out who killed her, whether it was a planned hit, and if so, who was behind that. I had to deal with a Useless Security Camera, Dysfunctional Family drama, a large group of people who were really adding nothing but distraction, the aforementioned Burrito Cannon, and how to keep my cold stuff cold while I solved the murder.

I never did figure it out.

That would make a great movie plot!

My dream last night started out scary, but got better.

The main scary part came from this game I was playing in the dream. I was in a creepy, dark house trying to collect some objects. I thought the house was empty, but then, in a Jump Scare, this guy came out, yelled at me for waking him up, and killed me. It doesn't sound so bad now, but in the dream, it was terrifying.

Then I was in an empty neighborhood where all the houses were left unlocked and open. I kept worrying that someone would notice me going into these houses... yet I kept going into the houses. Nothing bad happened, but I don't know why I did this, although I did get to pet some cats. XD

After that, I think I was in some pirate-themed game, with a World of Funny Animals. I don't think it was The Pirate's Fate, though. :P To start, you had to take a personality quiz to decide what class and species your character would be. I can't remember what mine were, but after I took the quiz, TropesForever decided to join the game and take the quiz. I tend to have Situational Sociability, and I took the quiz based on "real me", and Tropes was fully aware of this, so he took the quiz "RPing as Online Puma".

Finally, Tropes Forever made some sort of exhibit or dark ride teaching about Australian wildlife, but he snuck a picture of Bindy Wrong into one part. Strange, you'd think I would have been the one to do that.

That sounds like an interesting game...

I was at the mall in Flint. For some reason, they'd added on a fifth department store. I was in the department store looking around and I noticed that another one of the department stores was going out of business, which had me wondering why they'd build another one in the first place.

Somehow I ended up outside the mall and was poking in one of the security cruisers. I'd found a bunch of files from the company that owned the mall, including maps of a weird one in Florida that had a bunch of small specialty shops and opened out to a lake. The maps had to be downloaded onto a CD somehow. I then tried to move the cruiser a bit to make it look like I hadn't touched anything, and it turned into one of those electric wheelchairs after I parked it.

So I had a Danganronpa V3 dream where I was playing the 4th chapter and had gotten to the investigation part (just like I did right before sleeping x3) and: (SPOILERS FOR THE GAME (up to investigation chapter 4), YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED)

I was at the investigation part and the victim was Keebo, though I don't remember/know if this was along with Miu's death or if Keebo replaced her as the victim in the dream - the dream only showed his death. The textboxes looked different - black boxes with white text and character portraits next to them, I think the characters were standing around as 3D models possibly similar to in the Virtual World and for some reason Korekiyo had a few lines even though he had just been executed in the previous chapter, which I also knew had happened in this dream version of the game

I dreamed Spider-Man was fighting the Chameleon and they could both turn into giant spiders for some reason, which also had mustaches since they were both growing one. Then Jacob Marley showed up but didn't really do anything, which segued into Linkara reviewing the comic and complaining about the wasted potential there.

Then i dreamed I was playing Mega Man Battle Network 3 and the Internet kept trying to eat everyone.

After waking up and falling asleep again, I had a strange, vivid dream this morning.

I'm in a dorm, in college (not the one I actually went to), and for some reason, one of my coworkers is in there also, but I avoid him. I look at a map and try to figure out where my room is, and I return to that map more than once to try and figure it out.

Meanwhile, there is a place there in the unusually shaped dorm that is selling food, and has a small set of tables and chairs, and I go there, and find my online friend there. I talk to her, and tell her that I have a class I haven't been attending and that I really need to go to this class, and she looks up information on it and finds out that the class is in a building that's 5 hours away, so I don't stand a chance of going there now. I think about how I'm failing the class because I hadn't even been taking tests, and wonder if there's a way I can drop the class.

Somehow, we end up in a car together, both in the back seats, but with no view of who is driving. We go to Mc Donald's and get food, and we talk while we eat (with the dream having much detail of how I'm eating the Mc Donald's, including its unusually small bag of fries, and even putting salt on them), and I mention that there's this movie director who always puts a giant spider in every one of his movies, even if it makes no sense. She says, "Are you serious?!" I tell her that yes, I am, and he even put a giant robot spider in a movie set in the Wild West. Trying to figure out who he is, I look up his name online to try and see his list of movies or any articles about him and his love of giant spiders.

As we're riding in the car, we pass some scenery that includes fields with trees in the distance.

Eventually, the car we're in ends up right behind another car at a Mc Donald's drive thru in a strip mall, and I say, "Mc Donald's again?!" She says, "Actually, I'm about to get up and run away right now."

I think about how I'm going to have to get into the driver's seat (since I'm in the backseat of this car that apparently no-one is driving) so I can get out of here and not end up in the drive thru and be asked my order. And that's when I wake up and the dream ends.

The trailer I live in somehow got moved to a city street. I find lots of money, piles of $20 bills, in the gutter. Only it turns out to be “funny money.” Or informational pamphlets about money; I guess someone must have visited a Money Museum and dumped a bunch of stuff off outside my place.

Later on, I’m in an Old West town with my sister and me and her and a bunch of other people have to defeat some bad guys by pelting them with water balloons.

One of them was like some bizarre crossover between Persona 5, Shrek and Pokémon. It took place from Shrek's POV and he was masquerading as a Manectric of all things. This Manectric had the roof and floor of its mouth stuck together at the side, but could still fully open its mouth. I remember that he encountered the party of Persona 5 (or at least Joker) in a building that looks suspiciously like a real-world location I've been to a few times. Speaking of Joker, he apparently had an attack that summons trap hamburgers. If you apply force to them (such as by biting), they sprout an overkill amount of blades into you.

In a different one, I found a wild Forretress in Pokémon GO. It was in a bar, and so was another trainer. He challenged me to a battle and lead with a Forretress whereas I lead with a Torracat. I remember using Knock Off^note which is illegal on Torracat at one point to avoid knocking it out. The Forretress had a made-up move called Counter Beam which it used when Torracat had about 3HP left. The move healed Torracat, but then stole some of its experience points and gave them to Forretress. Even the text box was surprised! I forgot that this was a trainer's pokemon and used some weird gold-tier pokeball on it, then ragequit after the fact.

Dreamed I was running through what I assume to be London Heathrow Airport that somehow became Paris CDG trying to make a flight to Grenoble or something, because in the beginning I remember a map of a train network, before getting held by my dad wanting to grab a bite at some restaurant before I said, "No, there's no time!" before running off poking our heads through each terminal trying to find the right one, then getting held up by security first at baggage check then by the gate personnel who asked me a couple of random questions (one was "where do you live" - I assumed in my dream it was to make sure I gave an answer that matched their manifest) before they got flooded by a bunch of other people and some well-dressed man beyond the gate itself guided me past the desk and boarding pass scanner without speaking a word (to whom I offered a profuse "Merci") before I boarded the plane by going down some steps and entering from the tail end of the fuselage into a wide atrium of passenger seats and more TV screens up front than NASA mission control. My seat was "IV", second row, second from right, and I remember feeling really self-conscious of the fact that it felt like I was wearing shorts before getting a rising panic that I forfot to pack long pants.

I would note that I have only ever been to Heathrow once (and only for an arrival), have never used CDG, have never gone to Grenoble, and didn't actually have any carry-on baggage with me.

I really need to lay off the coffee after 3 PM.

Dreamt that I was banned from tvtropes (at least the forums, I think tvtropes was mostly a forum in the dream actually) for... well, I don't even know why, I couldn't remember having done anything "bad" and I was never told why... also I found out they had introduced a new system regarding bans - the mods would vote yes or no regarding whether X user should get unbanned in a special forum thread, and I think the user in question had no way to comment on this themselves

Good: I was riding on a Roller Racer◊!

Bad: ...on one of the busiest, hilliest streets in my area.

It was super cool. The muscle memory was there! I haven't ridden one of those things in decades, and I remember exactly how it felt! :D I love it when dreams do that! But. That doesn't change the fact that I was on a street where there are no sidewalks and the speed limit is 45MPH and everyone is in a great big hurry.

I finally made my way to a greenbelt. I figured out how to take that greenbelt to a bike path, then take the bike path to Target. (Sometimes my brain is not very interesting.)

I was really starting to enjoy myself, cruising along a little canal, when the dog barked and woke me up.

Myself and everyone I know were going to see the President. This was not by choice, he was visiting Colorado and we were required to go. We got herded around for photo ops and security reasons.

I always ended up in the front row. I never wanted this to happen, I just ended up there. I wanted to be smack dab in the middle of the crowd, to lessen my chances of being sexually assaulted. My twin bro was with me. He also wanted to be in the middle of the crowd, so he wouldn't be mistaken for a supporter.

Twin Bro was meditating during all the time we had to sit around. He taught me Warding Gestures to protect us from evil, and said that if we both entered a meditative trance while making the Warding Gestures, evil would avoid us.

At one point, we all got on a bus and were taken to an auditorium. Again, I ended up with a front row seat, so I left my seat to go get some coffee. I was hoping an actual supporter would take my seat, both so I wouldn't be able to sit there, and so I'd know who to avoid. On my coffee run, I found a bar! I called Twin Bro over, we got coffee with Irish cream and chocolate liqueur in it, and we watched figure skating on TV. We were just about to be forced into seats in the auditorium when I woke myself up.

Yesterday, on the official Discord chat for TinkerQuarry, Connisaur revealed that she had commissioned a voice actor for something related to the game, but didn't reveal what it was.

So, last night, I had a dream where she did reveal it. In the dream, the voice actor was hired to do a voiceover for the Golden Ending's credits. He did voices for most of the main characters, having them congratulate the player... before finishing with Staya, who threatened the player with a We Will Meet Again message and an Evil Laugh.

This morning, I told Connisaur about the dream, and she said that although that's not what the voice actor would be doing, she thought my idea was cool and she might consider it.

Still, at least I remembered most of the voices well enough to update the headcanon voices section on my page. :P

I had a pretty epic dream last night.

In it, I was thinking back on Peter Capaldi's time as the Doctor, and decided to watch what his final episode. Unlike his actual final episode, this one involved battling Cybermen on an ice planet. Of course, this being a dream, I was not only watching the episode, I also was the Doctor.

I also remember going to my PM inbox and finding dozens of messages. On close inspection, I realised some of them were neither to me nor from me. There were some addressed from Bisected 8 to a troper called "The Queen". There was also one from DrNoPuma, the title of which was something to do with Ireland, but the content was a link to either a Steamed Hams video or Windmills of Your Mind remix (or possibly both). Since I was the Doctor, this gave me an idea for a plan to defeat the Cybermen, or something like that.

So, the next thing I knew, I was in a mall (sound familiar?). Apparently the Cybermen were hiding in a freezer section, rather than on an ice planet. I found Puma and some other people who were also my friends, within the dream. They were at some kind of celebration dinner crossed with a carnival in one of the shops, but I think they were being served by Cybermen, who then turned on everyone. Somehow, I ended up in some kind of rolling office chair, with a bunch of other rolling office chairs stringed behind it, with Puma and my other nondescript friends sitting on them. Then, as part of my plan, I decided to pretend I was the Pope. I don't know why, but it caused some trouble because then the actual Pope showed up (also in a rolling office chair) and started arguing with me. We had some kind of race around the mall, to prove who was the better Pope. Or something.

The was much more, but I've forgotten it.
