Here I am with the only kind of story I ever seem to want to do:

Intercontinuity Crossover of Transformers:

The basic plot of most series is in effect: Forever War between Robot factions on Cybertron, and they find their way to Earth for multiple reasons:

I'll be taking plot elements and certain versions of characters from multiple series. For instance, instead of flat out using the deceptions, The Predacons will be there, fighting the Autobots. The logic is that the Predacons want to induce fear in the humans, so choose forms based on creatures that can be frightening or harmful to humans. In contrast, The Autobots want to blend in and live among humans while protecting them, so take on their classic vehicle forms.

Like I said, I'l be using different versions of characters from across different franchises, with many of them taking nods and personality traits from those versions, as well as others.

The line up for the Autobots will be:

Optimus Prime naturally: I chose this version because ironically enough, the RID Optimus made me appreciate Optimus as a Fire-Truck, and that is my favourite version of Optimus as a Fire-Truck. As Optimus is not too different across franchises (with Transformers Animated Optimus being the biggest variation).

Bumblebee: I like Prime Bumblebee a lot, but I always liked the look and weapons of Animated Bumblebee, even if I hated his personality after a while. He will be a hybrid of his classic, [[Film/Transformers Film]], Animated, and Prime self. He'll have the animated look, the Prime and Movie version battle competence, and maybe some aspects of his original series self in how he goes about his in-story role.

Arcee: Visually, I went with Prime Arcee for the same reason as I went with Animated Bumblebee. I like the look. The fact that this version of Arcee is one of the best likely helps as well. She will have some aspects of Animated Prowl (well more than she had in Prime) like the holograms, and will be a more overt stealth expert.

Bulkhead: Animated Bulkhead was great, but I loved the Prime version a hell of a lot, so he's in. He'll also have the Genius Bruiser aspects of his animated self, being something of a Tech-man, but not just specializing in Space Bridges.

Ratchet: I wanted another animated Character, and while Prime Ratchet was pretty Bad Ass, this version was out in the field more often, so he's in.

I might bring in Team Bullet Train as well, for the sake of two characters representing different series, and may add in more later.

For the Predacons:

Megatron of course. He's as natural a choice as Optimus, truthfully. I'm not sure if he'll be some kind of T-Rex, or a dragon, but he will have elements of all his incarnations, with his Beast Wars, Transformers Animated, and Transformers Prime selves being the strongest influences.

Black Arachnia: Visually, she'll be her animated self, with a slightly more mechanical appearance. She'll have her Beast Wars Incarnations Waif-Fu skills, and also borrow some aspects of Airachnid as well. So she'll be a little nuts yes.

Waspinator: Similar deal to Megatron and Black Arachnia. He'll still get blown up quite often, and might still provide some humour, but will be surprising competent in battle and dangerous. Less the terrifying thing he was in Animated, and more of a Bunny-Ears Lawyer who often confuses enemies and allies.

Skybite: The real Butt-Monkey of the Cons. A powerful warrior despite this, who can be fearsome when he stops fucking around. The most loyal of the Cons, and would probably be second in Command in not for all his other problems.

Scorponok: No link cause I'm not sure what version I'll use, but he's The Brute essentially. Might also be Genius Bruiser.

No clue what other details will make it into the story, or what Humans I'll use, but I'll likely mine all possible continuities for the story.

So double post:

Had an idea for a Superhero team using Anime, Manga and Video game characters.

Right now, the only member is Alisa Bosconovitch as a combination Vision/Iron Man Expy. Maybe with a bit of Red Tornado for good measure.

It would naturally have it's Bad Ass Normal ala Bat Man / Captain America (kind of. I was never sure where the Super-Soldier formula puts him in that regard), and your classic Flying Brick, and of course, a Smart Guy. And maybe an explicit magic using character.

They would basically fight crime and alien invasions and the like using your classic American Superhero Tropes (hidden base and all that).

Just like me to come up with another idea when I'm still barely touching on others that I want to do, but haven't started.

IMO, the Super-Soldier Serum is supposed to have Cap at "peak human ability". Whether that qualifies him as Badass Normal or something closer to Charles Atlas Superpower is up for debate.

Yeah. Tell me about it.

He's basically as strong and fast etc as a human being can being (which would probably vary depending on the human).

But anyway, I would use someone with no Superpowers any way, so it's not relevant. Though if I can find someone who has Cap's leadership skills, that would be cool.

If you need an espionage expert for a Black Widow-esque role, it might be fun to use Heero Yuy.

For a Flying Brick, I suggest Tekkaman Blade. Because the only other guy I could think of in anime would be Goku, and I think you want to keep at least some degree of tension and party balance.

Heh. Yeah, I did consider Goku at some point.

Then again, I don't have to use any of the Saiyans. Maybe I could go with Piccollo.

Tekkaman Blade is an interesting choice. I remember watching that show years ago when it was dubbed as Teknoman.

I also remember the original Tekkaman which I caught on video a long time ago. Man, was that cheesy.cool

Guess I'd need to watch Tekkaman Blade again.

I was also considering Edward Elric for The Smart Guy role, but I'm not totally sure about that.

Ed might be too much of a Glass Cannon, no matter what role I put him in, considering that without his Alchemy, he's just a normal human.

You could go with Lelouch Lamperouge for The Smart Guy.

Pantyhosetaro might also be a viable Flying Brick for you, depending on what kind of Super Weight scale you want.

....

Taro could work. I've never seen the episodes with him, but I've read one Manga chapter (the one with Rouge).

He could double as the Token Evil Teammate as well. I guess really would depend on how strong the guys I'm using are.

Lelouch is a great smart guy, and his Geas is a nifty ability, but I probably couldn't put him in the field, due to being too squishy. I mean, he's apparently awful at any type of physical exertion. He'd make an interesting Xavier or Niles Caulder type character.

Of course, I'd need to actually watch Code Geass as well now.

I'm wondering how Viewtiful Joe would work. With his Mach Speed and VFX Slow abilities, he'd make an interesting Flash Expy, though he's obviously be more than that.

Yeah, depending on your Super Weight scale, I'd advise either Pantyhosetaro or Tekkaman Blade (or a DBZ char) for your Flying Brick.

I think I'll likely go with Tarou. He would be interesting if I play him as a Hulk Expy.

And now, instead of Ed, I'm thinking of Using Alex Louis Armstrong in the group. He has some nice offensive firepower, and could act as a secondary Big Guy. Plus, he's plenty durable if his fight with Sloth (which I look forward to seeing animated) is anything to go by. His wiki entry notes that he's incredibly durable among the Alchemist characters.

Hmmm. So that's Alisa, Alex, Tarou, possibly Joe and Lelouch.

Needs more females. Maybe Nancy. She's be good as a Black Widow type character.

Hmmm. I seem to be leaning more towards Avengers, but I kinda wanted it to be both Avengers And Justice League. Still need a good Bad Ass Normal.

re:Hulk Expy: True, Pantyhosetaro has the "cursed transformation into an Eldritch Abomination" thing going for him, but Tekkaman Blade is more traditionally Cursed with Awesome, and he has a time limit on his initial transformation, exceeding which causes him to fly into an Unstoppable Rage and kill everything in sight. If that information were made available to the government, you can bet they'd do their damnedest to make sure he was either contained or under constant control (what with being able to tank a nuke to the face and all)....

re:team formation:

Well then. The most iconic Avengers are probably Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, and the Hulk, possibly Black Widow and Hawkeye thanks to the MCU, and most everyone else isn't well-known beyond the comics (Wasp, Ant-Man, etc).

For Cap, I'd suggest Solid Snake, in either his MGS1 or MGS2 incarnations.

You have some girl I never heard of for your Iron Maiden, Pantyhosetaro is probably a viable Hulk (even if Tekkaman Blade or Kid Gohan [via his Oozaru transformation] would be significantly better for that dynamic IMO), and Armstrong could probably make a suitable Boisterous Bruiser, and you already have a secret agent Femme Fatale in Miss Deep.

Now for the JLA'ers. We have The Cape with Superpower Lottery, Badass Normal Magnificent Bastard Terror Hero, Green Lantern Ring, Speedster.... and MsFanservice. Viewtiful Joe is probably the closest thing to a proper Speedster that I'd be familiar with in a non-comicbook context unless we went with someone with Time Stands Still as their superpower, which for me basically means Rolo and Dio Brando (both of whom are villains, although Lelouch being a team member could make Rolo a viable Token Evil Teammate).

Now, Lelouch - or rather, Zero - is probably the closest thing I can think of being to anime Batman, short of picking up Might Senpuuji or Roger Smith. Sure, Lelouch is a Squishy Wizard, but you could make the Zero suit something more akin to lower-tier Powered Armor if you wanted.

Will work on GL, Supes, and WW equivalents later.

Updated Hunting the Unicorn, for those who watch Glee and are Klaine shippers.

(And also enjoy fairy-tale-ish writing styles.)

Four months is a pretty long update wait, but at least it isn't QUITE as bad as an almost two-year schedule slip.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Solvernia updated, and it's a chapter that changes a few things from canon.

Also, I posted "Mayu's Wish" a Vocaloid/Madoka Magica crossover that I wanted to share, based on a headcanon. It involves incubators getting their comeuppance.

But the reason why I posted on this thread it's because I want to question something: the profile only shows the last 300 reviews, is there a way to see the others, beyond the last 300? I'm asking here because I don't think it desserves its own thread.

A Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood story taking place after the end of the series

The basic premise: Pride eventually remembers his previous life, but now free of Father's influence, decides to embrace his new life as Selim Bradley, so he can be with the only human he actually likes.

It's also revealed that, in defiance of all logic, and his very nature, he's grown to respect humans a little (mostly coming from Kimbley screwing him over, sometime he grudgingly admits was impressive) Ed defeating him, but sparing him. As well as the fact that they actually beat Father.

We get to watch both Hilarity and some Drama ensue as he tries to keep those who would eliminate him from catching on to his true nature, while trying to figure out just what the fuck he wants to do now that he's no longer following Father blindly.

Black Lagoon.

Assignment.

Having Roberta at the doorstep was always terrifying. Having her and Fabiola managed to be even worse, somehow. Adding Garcia in meant the situation was tempered a bit, but only a little bit.

"The time has come for the young Master to realize his position as a man," Roberta explained dryly, "so we come to you, Rokuro-san, in the understanding you're the sole man of our trust who can help him with this."

Rock blinked and pointed at his own chest with a finger. "— me? But I don't know the first thing about running a financial empire. I could help with the accounting, a bit, but—"

"It isn't that!" Fabiola hissed. "What she means is, we can't do that because we're women, and we don't know any other men who wouldn't make him a sleazebag, so we have to ask you to... to tell him about the birds and bees!"

The members of the Lagoon Company stared at Garcia, who sat there with wide unsuspecting eyes, and then at Rock, who had paled quite a tad all of a sudden.

Benny finally broke the rather long silence that ensued by saying, "I always could, as well—"

"Leaving him alone with a computer and a list of porn pages would yield the same results, much cheaper," Revy said while lighning a cigarette.

Dutch nodded sagely. "Rock will take it."

"I will?-!" a bewildered Rock asked.

Dutch shrugged. "I'd just take him to Flora's, but that's the call of those paying."

"We only want him taught the basic theory," Roberta said tensely.

Rock scratched the back of his neck, sheepishly looking at Garcia. "Uh... well, I guess I could do it. Why not—"

Being a Japanese in an anime setting, he only could really teach Garcia about Lolis, catgirls, tentacles, and disappearing outscreen with your woman for a while only to return already married and with a child.

In the end, Roberta had to drag Garcia over to Flora's herself...

Um...

As funny as this is, would they really trust him after the finale of Roberta's Blood Trail?

At the least, Fabiola didn't seem to think too highly of Rock in the aftermath of that whole arc.

If we take "Mugen Tenshin" to be the proper name of the school of ninjutsu of DOA characters Kasumi, Hayate, and Ayane's ninja clan (because what the hell kind of Japanese clan, let alone a ninja clan, uses several words as its proper name?), then what do you suppose would be a good name to give to the clan itself?

PS: Wish DOA Wiki would get around to implementing a proper citation policy; having references/sources attributed to things like the kanji of the names would be quite helpful.

Working on the next chapter for Hunting the Unicorn.

I also read about half of the Glee character sheets since I stopped watching a little after Season 2, and... Yeah, I'm glad that my fanfic is so drastically AU because I have absolutely no clue what they've done with Blaine by now.

I'm just going to throw Firefly and Criminal Minds at my fanfic and see what sticks.

Say, from a fantasy-RPG perspective, what class(es) does Queens Blade character Cattleya best correspond to? I would've pegged her as a Barbarian due to her usage of a gigantic sword and being pretty much an obvious power-based warrior, if it weren't for the fact that her personality and lifestyle is severely at odds with the Barbarian archetype's typical portrayal.

We talking D&D Barbarians or Pathfinder Barbarian?

... What's the difference? While I am unfamiliar with the details of both, I am marginally more familiar with the D&D one. On the other hand, I was thinking more of the archetype as explained by Fantasy Character Classes, which is admittedly more of a generalization of the most commonly chosen characteristics rather than a definite mold.

Story-wise, the Pathfinder version is literate, and has nicer powers.
