Characters from TV Tropes RPG campaigns
El Cuarzo Rosa/Ryo Aihara/Rosa Thorne
From: We Wake Up as Magical Girls
An 18 (later 19)-year-old succubus Magical Girl who has memories of being a 28-year-old human man who worked at a Host Club.- The Alcoholic: Ryo is introduced waking up with a hangover-induced headache, then asks Felix what the legal drinking age is after discovering his/her new body is 9 years younger. It's even their Stress Explosion!
- This is Truth in Television , as employees of host(ess) bars are typically expected to drink with their customers, which can eventually lead to drinking problems further down the line.
- By the Power of Grayskull!: "La vie en Rose!"
- Cunning Linguist: Ryo is fluent in both Japanese and English, and once he ends up in Rosa's body, he gains an innate understanding of Infernal.
- Distracted by the Sexy: Being a succubus, this is one of Rosa's natural abilities.
- Gemstone Assault: Can attack with rose quartz crystals that she raises from the ground.
- Girlish Pigtails: Rosa typically wears her hair in wavy, medium-length twintails. These are adorned with rose decorations in her magical girl form.
- Gratuitous Spanish: Keeping with the gem theme naming of two of her fellow magical girls, Amethyst Breaker and Blue Amber, "El Cuarzo Rosa" is Spanish for "Rose Quartz."
- In the Name of the Moon: "Every rose has its thorns! El Cuarzo Rosa...SHALL FINISH YOU!"
- Minidress of Power: Par for the course, really.
- Pronoun Trouble: Given Ryo/Rosa's circumstances, the narration isn't quite sure which set of pronouns to stick with for them. Ryo's inner thoughts are still consistantly addressed with masculine pronouns, though.
- The Sneaky Guy: Serves this role for The Team, being a master of illusions who relies more on Cunning than Athletics in battle.
- Something about a Rose: Rosa's magical girl uniform has a prominent rose theme, and her civilian identity's surname is Thorne.
- Stocking Filler: Fishnet stockings held up by garters.
- Toast of Tardiness: Well, it was a bagel sandwich, but the trope still stands since they were trying to get to class. This earns her an extra point of Favor for being Genre Savvy.
- Victoria's Secret Compartment: Kind of. Her dagger, Heart of the Rose, is summoned from a sigil above her cleavage and pulled out manually a la Revolutionary Girl Utena. This has earned it the nickname "Cleaver from the Cleavage".
- Played straight in Rosa's civilian form, she keeps her smartphone in her bra.
Gita Bright/Synesthesia
From: My Superhero Sagas (debuted in My Superhero World)
A 21-year-old DJ-turned-superhero born with the psychic ability to summon Hard Light constructs based on their chromesthesia-induced visions.- Acrofatic: Justified Trope, as their suit's AMV Mode gives them heightened speed and agility for more theatrical combat.
- Played straight with their Light Clones, because while they're shaped like Gita, they obviously don't have the same physical limitations as the real flesh-and-blood deal.
- Audience Surrogate: Was written with the intention of serving as this to those new to the MSA-verse.
- Barrier Warrior
- Big Fun: Definitely on the chubby side, but also capable of matching Mason in levels of enthusiasm.
- Birds of a Feather: Upon formally joining Squad 3, Gita becomes fast friends with Mason. Given that they're both Adorkable Occidental Otaku with theatrical tendencies, it should come as no surprise.
- Black and Nerdy / Bollywood Nerd: Loves anime, cartoons, and video games while also being half-Black and half-Desi.
- Clark Kenting: Designed as an inverse of this. Standing at 5'4 and with a pudgier figure than most superheroes note they wouldn't be the first one you'd suspect as being one themself. However, when they're wearing their black bodysuit and shades and hovering in the air, it becomes more plausible.
- Clothes Make the Superman: While Gita's light projection and hovering powers are all their own, the suit that Mason engineered for them grants them speed and agility that they didn't have before.
- Cool Shades: Wears a holographic visor while on duty as Synesthesia.
- It seems that Gita collects these; when we see them in 2037, they're wearing a pair of heart-shaped rose-gold frames with pink lenses to match the rest of their rose-colored ensemble.
- Expy: With the similarities in their powers and origin stories, Synesthesia could easily be seen as the MS-Verse's answer to X-Men's Dazzler. Both are superhumans with sound-to-light conversion powers that started off in the music industry before becoming heroes later.
- Healing Hands: Healed a crowd of clubgoers with gold sparkles during their debut.
- Honorary Auncle: As of 2037, a now 36-year-old Gita serves this role for Micah Bridges, Mason and Tyulla's robotic son. They helped raise him whenever his mother was absent, and even with his limited emotional capacities, Micah does very much consider Gita as family.
- Occidental Otaku: The anime posters in their room are a dead giveaway.
- Retcon: Their surname was originally Leight until it was discovered it sounds nothing like "light", so it was changed to something more thematically appropriate.
Fala Pine
From: My Superhero Sagas (debuted in My Suburban Heroic Fantasynote /My Superhero Academy V 1 Rnote )
A sentient humanoid pineapple in the form of a grouchy, socially awkward 15-year-old girl. Depending on which version, she is either from a race of fruit-based aliens or is the product of a magical space rock landing in a pineapple greenhouse.Pedro Manalo
From: My Superhero Sagas (debuted in My Superhero Academy V3)
A 16-year-old boy whose Super-Speed is activated by consuming caffeine.- Expy: To Pietro Maximoff (a.k.a. Quicksilver). His name is another derivative of "Peter", he wears his bangs pulled back like the comics version, and wears goggles in action like the EvanPeters version.
- Meaningful Name: "Pedro" is an homage to Pietro Maximoff, as explained above, while his surname "Manalo" is Tagalog for "to win."
Asher Blakewood
From: Creekmoor
Characters from Off-Site R Ps
Roszana Goldheart
From: Xana's "Tyranny of Dragons" mod'
A 22-year-old halfling rogue with a penchant for anything to do with gems.- Braids of Action: Wear her hair in one long plait that reaches her lower back.
- Charm Person: Being an Arcane Trickster, she has the Trope Namer in her spell list.
- Has a Type: While she "ain't too scrupulous" when it comes to the gender of her potential partners, she's typically more attracted to "taller folk."
- The Sneaky Guy: Being the party's rogue, Rosz's training and shorter stature give her excellent stealth.
- Southern Belle: Rosz is the daughter of Waterdeep jewelry-makers and is played with a sugary Southern drawl to evoke this trope.
Avan
From: PQI's "Ghosts of Saltmarsh" campaign'
A 24-year-old sea elf bard of mysterious origins who washed upon the shores of Saltmarsh as an infant and was raised by the temple of Procan.- Childhood Friends: Avan met Hyde some time when they were children and they have been friends ever since.
- Curtains Match the Windows: Has naturally blue hair with eyes to match.
- Long-Haired Pretty Boy: Has long, flowing blue hair and a whopping 17 CHA, meaning he must be quite beautiful.

Common Characteristics of the Tumblr Sexyman
The general definition of a “Tumblr Sexyman” is a character who has gained a noticeable following online for being seen as romantically/physically attractive by fans of the source material, often in spite of how unconventional the reasons for their attraction are or how bizarre it may be to find a character from a particular work hot.
The most commonly cited originator of this phenomenon is The Once-ler from The Lorax (2012), whom an inexplicably large amount of Tumblr users found particularly attractive, leading to an absolutely massive fan following that spread across the site and arguably became a fandom of its own independent of the actual movie. There has been only one other character that has reached the same level of infamy, that being Sans from Undertale, but there have been many other Sexymen who
Some common tropes attributed to Tumblr Sexymen include:
- Alternate Self Shipping: A common side effect of what Sexypedia calls “Oncelerization”, which is when countless Alternate Universe Fics are made for a work that are centered around a character with Sexyman status.
- Artists Are Attractive: The popularity of Wally Darling (a painter) and Murdoc Niccals (a bassist)note , among others, seem to indicate that many agree with this sentiment.
- Ax-Crazy
- Dem Bones: Sans and Papyrus are obvious examples, but Jack Skellington, Ernesto de la Cruz, and Lewis Pepper also have loyal fanbases who find them remarkably attractive despite their lack of flesh.
- Ditzy Genius: The equivalent category for this trope on the wiki is "Smartdumb", with Denzel Crocker, Randy Marsh, and Dr. Drakken listed as examples among others.
- Fanservice: The “Bait” category is for characters who were deliberately designed with Sexyman tropes in mind or simply meant to be seen as attractive.
- Flanderization: Sexymen, given their popularity, are particularly prone to undergoing this, with their fanbases latching on to one particular aspect of their canon selves and running it to the ground in fan works (i.e. Sans' laziness/puns/Angst, Snufkin's eagerness to commit crime, Goro Akechi's love of pancakes, etc.).
- Glasses Are Sexy
- Hair-Trigger Temper: The Sexypedia equivalent of this trope is the "Hot-headed" category, which is where you would find Miguel O'Hara and Loona, among others.
- High-Powered Career Woman: This is a popular archetype for Sexywomen, as they are often domineering and look good in suits.
- Mad Scientist: This character archetype is particularly popular among Sexyman connoisseurs, as seen with the popularity of Professor Venomous, The Medic, and Megamind.
- Monster Clown: Granted, Non Ironic Clowns also have a following (especially considering the fan response to Pomni), but given the fact that most Sexymen are villains, there's more of a skew towards the former, with notable examples including Spinel, The Daycare Attendant, and Buggy the Clown.
- Mystical White Hair: It is noted that characters in the "White Hair" category may have said feature to convey mysticism, if not outright villainy. Some examples (villainous or otherwise) include Sephirothnote , Satoru Gojo, and Aaravos.
- Perpetual Smiler: Sans popularized this trend, and this legacy is carried on in Sexymen such as Alastor, Bugbo, and Jax.
- Self-Fanservice: Many nonhuman Sexymen have had their status cemented by fan-artists drawing them as conventionally attractive humans (or at least humanoids) and having said depictions explode in popularity, with particularly prominent examples including Bill Cipher, Wheatley, and several of the cookies from Cookie Run.
- Sharp-Dressed Man: Seeing as the original Tumblr Sexyman, The Once-ler, was a “Suitguy”, it should come as no surprise that many that have come after him have followed suit. If a character deemed a Sexyman doesn’t wear a suit in canon, then fanart will likely depict them wearing one, such as the cases of Bill Cipher and Tony the Talking Clock. And women certainly aren’t immune from this kind of appeal either, as Makima can attest to.
- Silver Fox: If the Sexymen in the "DILF/MILF" category still aren't old enough for your taste, there's also the "GILF" category, home of such characters as Emperor Belos, Ebeneezer Scrooge, and Amelia Hughes.
- Stacy's Mom: Granted, one does not necessarily have to be an actual parent to be placed under the “DILF/MILF” category, with some simply being Team Mom / Team Dad to their respective groups, a Parental Substitute to a younger character, or just being an attractive person over 30, but it does certainly help.
- The Twink: The "Pale Twink" category, naturally. Granted, only some of them are actually MLM, but that's never stopped Yaoi Fangirls before.
- Unkempt Beauty: If a sexyman isn’t well-groomed and dressed to the nines, then they’re this instead, and there is hardly any inbetween.
- White Hair, Black Heart: Characters under the “White Hair” category tend to overlap with villains, which adds to their appeal. Particularly popular examples include Nagito Komaeda, Astarion, and Griffith.
- Yandere: Many under the “Obsessive” category would qualify as this trope, such as GIFfany, Monika, and Claude Frollo.
